Club Privé: French Connection Vol. II (Club Privé: French Connection, #2) is a continuation of Gavin and Cassie's story.
Gavin and Cassie could not be further apart especially when Cassie walks into a scene she would much rather have not seen and now quesitons everything.
What was supposed to be a reconnection this trip has turned out to be full of lies, secrets, hidden agendas and deceit.
I have loved the first series of these two who have become some of my fav characters so was sure how I am liking this part of their story. I am still up in arms.

Club Prive French Connection Vol 2 continues where Vol 1 left off. So naturally I would suggest reading Vol 1.
Carrie left off in book 1 with a surprise in their hotel room. And it definitely left Carrie speechless. As the story continues we get introduced to 2 new characters, Pierre and Alizee. While Pierre seeks out Carrie for information about her area of expertise, Alizee is showing interest in Gavin. Not wanting to be rude with the helpful competition, Gavin tries to find the best way to dodge her advances. These two just can’t seem to keep out of trouble in their relationship. Just as soon as they are able to reach a common ground in their relationship, a new element turns up.
I enjoyed reading this installment, can’t wait for the next. Steamy scenes are in this book and I will be honest, one act threw me off guard. Not something I would have done but to each their own! With the introduction of the 2 new characters, I’m curious as to how this will all play out. 4 smooches for sure!

Carrie and Gavin have had a rocky road the last few months. Her work consumes her. When an opportunity to travel to France come about it's the perfect opportunity to "fix" what's missing in the relationship. At the end of Book 1 Carrie walked into the hotel room to find two women in the bed. She freaks. Did Gavin really ask them to the room? Is this what he needs to fill his desires? Gavin assures her this isn't something he planned.
Carrie knows Gavin loves her but does she trust him? Her insecurities seem to be an issue at every turn. After talking about their needs, Gavin gives into the side of himself he as been keeping at bay lately. Can this bring them closer or will the trip to France and Gavin's new business associates ruin their relationship?
I can't wait to see how Gavin gets himself out of the mess he's in!

Wow, after what was quite a sedentary, but slightly mysterious start to the quintet of novellas, this one ends on a cliffhanger... So I'm definitely looking forward to the next one being released.
We find our leads in the French Riviera mixing with some undoubtedly dubious characters. How will their morals and ethics be affected by Gavin's need for this venture to be a success? How will their relationship be affected by the romance of France ? Read on and find out!

This one seems that it could have been put with the last one with the info here. Does Vincent know what Alizee is doing or is he part of it. What is Pierre doing? Is he actually trying to do what he says or is he helping Alizee and set up Carrie?

This is the 7th volume in the Club Prive series I highly recommend you read the other volumes before reading this one.
When Carrie went back to her hotel room to wait for Gavin, she got more than what she expected. She already feels her relationship with Gavin is starting to slip away and finding two naked women in her bed leaves her questioning what is going on. Gavin knows what he wants with Carrie but every time he tries to show her he is called away. When the two actually get a few moments to them self they talk about what is missing and a renewed passion is ignited.
A journalist seeks Carrie out for help in what he suspect as a human trafficking ring is in the area. Gavin has Alizee to deal with as his secret about the need to funding is out, while Carrie is out helping her journalist friend Pierre. What Carrie didn’t expect to find leaves her questioning if this is the end of her relationship with Gavin.

Seeing two naked women having sex isn’t what shocked Carrie, it was the fact that they said Gavin invited them. Carrie is usually strong and confident but lately she has been feeling like Gavin is slipping away from her. Once Gavin explains that he never invited them up it leaves the door open for Carrie to talk to Gavin about what is really bothering her. She wants things the way they were back. Carrie needs Gavin to dominate her in the bedroom like he did when they first met. This is part of the reason why she is feeling like he is slipping away. The other part is Gavin being called away and spending most of her time alone in France.
Gavin has tried just about everything he can think of to stop Carrie from slipping away but no matter how hard he tries some one always gets in the ways. Finding two naked women in the hotel room is just the tip of the iceberg. When Carrie tells him that she needs him to dominate her in the bedroom like he told he would when they first met brings him some relief. He has suppressed that side of him for so long for her because he would do anything to keep Carrie in his life. He tested the waters with Carrie and his dominance to find out that she is enjoying it just as much as he is.
The story between Gavin and Carrie heat up even more in this volume. Finding two women having sex in your hotel room is enough to send any women over the edge when they claim they were invited. I like how Gavin tried to lighten thing up but failed miserably. These two have been through so much but Gavin’s former lifestyle keeps coming back to haunt him. Vincent is just a different form of Howard but I’m waiting to find out who’s worse. Alizee is no better than Howard and how she is using Gavin to get what she wants leads me to believe that Carrie’s love for Gavin is going to be tested one time too many. Carrie is frustrated and upset with Gavin that he was off with Felice at the party and left her there. She texts him to let him know that she is headed back to their hotel room. When she gets there she finds Felice and Marguerite naked having sex in their bed. Gavin is only a minute or two behind her. He arrives to find her screaming at them and very pissed at him. The girls told her that he invited him there. Gavin makes a joke that doesn’t go over very well and Carrie storms out of the room. Gavin follows her to explain. He tells her that he didn’t want to spend all that time at the party with Felice but didn’t want to blow the business deal. He also tell her the reason he left is because he had to go pick up something that he had made for her before the person left on a trip. He had a necklace commissioned for her similar to one she saw while they were shopping. They file a complaint at the front desk and get a new room. The next day Gavin makes it clear to Vincent that he is in a committed relationship with Carrie and only Carrie. When he gets back Carrie is waiting for him with a special surprise. She wants him to make her forget all about what she saw the night before. They have to attend a party that night for the business deal they are trying to close. While there they are introduced to a woman named Alizee that owns clubs in the area. Carrie isn’t too sure about the woman, something just doesn’t seem right about her. They stay only as long as they have to and them head back to their room. Carrie says they need to talk. She asks why Gavin no longer wants to do the things with her sexually that he did when they first started dating. She thinks maybe she isn’t enough for Gavin or wasn’t good at it. He lets her know that is not the case and that he was worried she was only doing it because he wanted to not because she liked it also. Will teaching Carrie what he likes in the bedroom help them to be closer like they were before? Will this business deal go through? Does Alizee have alternative motives?
I love Carrie and Gavin as a couple. They have been through a lot and are still learning things about each other. Carrie learns that they need to communicate more. She claims to love and trust him but when she found those girls in their bed she realizes that maybe she doesn’t. If she did she would never have believed that he did that. Gavin has been keeping their financial situation from Carrie. Gavin also realizes how much they are meant for each other when he starts introducing Carrie to his interests in the bedroom. She responds to him so much and likes everything he does even begs for more. They never really got to have the getting to know you part so they are go through it now. I can’t wait to find out what happens next with them. I want to know what Alizee is up to and how Gavin is going to react when he finds out. Great book/series.

WOW!!! What an amazing series!!! Loved this so much. M.S. Parker is a genius!!!
I’m going to hope that if you are reading this review you have read the first parts of the series. If you haven’t stop now and go 1click! Like seriously…..right now. You won’t be sorry and I don’t want to spoil anything that you might read below.
Gavin and Carrie are such amazing people. They have been through so much together. They still have a lot to learn about each other which makes them so relatable and human.
Gavin doesn’t want to be too rough with Carrie after the assult and all the mess she went through with his former business partner so he has halted all “exciting” love making. Carrie is so busy getting her pro-bono business up off the ground she hardly has time for anything much less hours long hot sex.
Gavin also doesn’t want to tell Carrie that with the “no sex” sex club they are remodeling and him funding her business - they are eating up way more money than they are bringing in. Thank goodness he gets a call from someone from Cannes that is visiting the USA in order to hear more about this sex club. He takes a meeting with the guy and they agree to meet in Cannes for further discussion. It would be a full on sex club and he needs to talk to Carrie about all this and have her come with him.
It finally works out and they are heading to Cannes. This trip is to do business and reconnect. They are both feeling “off” and in need of spending time with each other. When Carries sits Gavin down and tells him that she misses HIM….Dom Gavin. Well, all I can say is HOT HOT HOT!!!! This really makes up for a lot of the “off” vibe they have both been feeling. Gavin needs it and Carrie craves it and getting back to where they were is half the battle.
The rest of the battle will come in the form of learning to tell each other everything even if it’s difficult. They both want to protect each other and love each so deeply that the communication isn’t always there.
She catches two women in her bed and one woman flirting with him. There are yachts and journalist and women! It’s sweet and action packed and HOT!!!
M.S. Parker…..you are amazing!!!! Love this series and can’t wait for Vol. III!!!! (hint: I think there’s gonna be more of Carrie getting the sex trade people and saving the girls. I hope! But that’s totally me guessing….well hoping - LOL) The characters are so wonderful, it’s action packed and it’s HOT!!!! Have I said it’s Hot cause it really is!!!!

Gavin also doesn’t want to tell Carrie that with the “no sex” sex club they are remodeling and him funding her business - they are eating up way more money than they are bringing in. Thank goodness he gets a call from someone from Cannes that is visiting the USA in order to hear more about this sex club. He takes a meeting with the guy and they agree to meet in Cannes for further discussion. It would be a full on sex club and he needs to talk to Carrie about all this and have her come with him.
It finally works out and they are heading to Cannes. This trip is to do business and reconnect. They are both feeling “off” and in need of spending time with each other. When Carries sits Gavin down and tells him that she misses HIM….Dom Gavin. Well, all I can say is HOT HOT HOT!!!! This really makes up for a lot of the “off” vibe they have both been feeling. Gavin needs it and Carrie craves it and getting back to where they were is half the battle.
The rest of the battle will come in the form of learning to tell each other everything even if it’s difficult. They both want to protect each other and love each so deeply that the communication isn’t always there.
She catches two women in her bed and one woman flirting with him. There are yachts and journalist and women! It’s sweet and action packed and HOT!!!
M.S. Parker…..you are amazing!!!! Love this series and can’t wait for Vol. III!!!! (hint: I think there’s gonna be more of Carrie getting the sex trade people and saving the girls. I hope! Carrie and Gavin are back! This is now a year later after all the crazy mess with Howard and the sex trafficking. Their lives have become very complex and stressful. This is costing him lots of money, both because of the renovations and because the membership fees will not be the same for a dance club. If things don't change soon, Carrie and him will have to talk about downsizing their expenses, or they will end up in monetary hell.
Carrie is still working pro bono pursuing sex traffickers and helping bring justice to the girls being caught in their web. This volume of Club Prive: French Connections picks up exactly were volume 1 left off. Feeling neglected by Gavin at the party Carrie leaves and returns to their suite, only to find two naked women romping in her bed. One of the women tells Carrie that Gavin invited them. Carrie is beyond angry, thinking that Gavin has invited them to fix what has been missing in their relationship. Needless to say when Gavin arrives sparks fly on many levels. He sees a side of Carrie that he's never seen before and if afraid of what she may be thinking.
Ms. Parker does a wonderful job of letting the passion fly in this installment of the series. When Carrie figures out what is missing from their relationship, she is eager to fix the problem, giving Gavin the thing he has been denying himself. In denying himself his desires, because he was afraid they would scare Carrie, he unknowingly drove a wedge between the couple. Their lack of communication lead them to have issues with trust in their relationship. The sex scenes between Gavin and Carrie are intense.
Gavin is still trying to seal the deal with Vincent for a new Club Prive. Vincent adds another woman to the mix, one who is bound to wreak havoc throughout the rest of the series. She had done her research and knows about Gavin's potential financial woes. Of course, she has her sights set on him but there is more to her than just being a potential threat to Carrie.
Carrie becomes acquainted with a journalist who is researching sex trafficking in the Rivera. Trust is the theme here between Carrie and Gavin as they continue on in their Cannes adventure. Upon starting the story where Carrie walks into a girl on girl orgy in her bed, sans Gavin, naturally, she's pissed and wants to kill her boyfriend for not only leaving her at a party, but to come back to the hotel to find this. After an all too brief, but plausible explanation, the story continues. Carrie forgives and Gavin makes her forget what she saw. This vacation serves too purposes- one, to find and open a new Club Prive in Cannes, and two, to reunite these drifting lovers.
This is where the trust part comes in... Carrie wants to know why Gavin has shied away from his BDSM tendencies toward her. Carrie's insecurities are that he doesn't want to do those things with her anymore. When Gavin explains that after what happened (she was almost raped by his former business partner), he didn't want to feel as if he were using her, the walls came down and the kink came in.
But here's where the story lost me. Because the focus of this story is on business (not the relationship), characters have entered that as a reader, I don't trust, but that the characters do, somewhat. Of course, this being a novella, this was left on a cliffhanger, and I now have to read the third and final installment to see if any of what I think is going on, is actually going on.
The writing, while not stellar, does prove to be entertaining. This series is a clear statement piece on Human Trafficking and why it's bad. But as of yet, there has been no offer of how to stop it from happening, and the author goes so far as to claim that the government might even be involved, if the right price is paid.
I'm interested to see where this part of the story goes, but also to see how the relationship between Gavin and Carrie fares, because at this point, I don't see it faring well.

Carrying on right where we left off I am pleased to find out Gavin is in the clear and not the cause of these two bimbos being in their hotel room !! This trip to France may just cause more drama than good !! Despite the fact that their sex life is once again flourishing Gavin and Carrie are just tapping into the trouble their new business partner plans to stir up. Carrie has voiced some concerns about their sex life and they are very determined to fix what they feel is wrong. It is super hot and yummy to read this part of their journey !! I really cannot stand Vincent , he is sleazy and just a piece of work with no concern for others. Now he brings on this Alizee chick and I want to scream. She is up to something , you can tell right away and I do not like her one bit. Gavin is oblivious because he is so wrapped up in his work but Carrie is catching on. Not only that but during one of Gavin's meetings Carrie meets up with a reporter looking for her help into busting a sex traffic ring right where they are in France. Now that Carrie is preoccupied with Pierre, Alizee has some time to try and work her plan with Gavin. Gavin may just find himself in another crappy situation like he did with the club back home. To top it off the detective work Pierre and Carrie are doing may find one of these new partners into something other than just running some normal clubs. Again we have a slight cliffy and I am praying poor Gavin opens his eyes and realizes he may be getting played before it is too late for him and Carrie and his business.

I may or may not have wanted to strangle quite a few people after reading the second part in this series that continues from the original Club Prive serial series. Gavin and Carrie continue to be scorching between the sheets yet it seems that obstacle after obstacle stands in their way. This was a quick read and left me wanting more.
This is the continuation of Gavin and Carrie's story as these two try to balance life together. This book hones in on them (or Carrie) attempting to re-center Gavin and find a good place for them while on a trip.. But this is not easy. Women are after Gavin, making is difficult for Carrie. Carrie is starting to doubt herself and their relationship. And just when you think it is all starting to even out, another storm is brewing. Will Gavin and Carrie be able to make it through? Is a happy ending still in the cards for them?
I still love both Gavin and Carrie. I really want these two to get back to the place where they are happy, whole, trusting and complete. But these two still have a lot of work to do to get their. Their chemistry is still THROUGH THE ROOF HOT!
I can't wait for the next installment this author has for us in this series.

I am seriously addicted to this series! I just want to gobble them up! In Club Privé: French Connection Vol. II M.S. Parker picks up right where she left off in the previous book. And *sigh* we do not have to castrate him for having two other women in his bed.
Gavin and Carrie begin to re-explore their sex life together and get back in touch with this side of their relationship. After everything they had gone through this last year they had lost touch with each other here. While they still were together they had lost trust with each other in this intimate aspect of their relationship. If they begin to trust each other here, will that trust and communication carry over everywhere? Or will the dubious partners from Gavin's business ventures slowly erode their fragile relationship?
I really hope the renewal of their passion sparks true trust and communication for them because I really love them as a couple. Their chemistry is undeniable. And they are both characters that you just really want to root for and love. Yet these obstacles keep pooping up in their paths. However, such is life and they will have to learn to come together to overcome them.

I can't wait to see how this series ends in the next book. But first....Gavin better watch his back. In business people are sharks. He's definitely in a business to have them circling. When your business is selling sex - and sex sells - they want a piece of you...literally. Doesn't help that Gavin is an attractive man as well. Carrie is trying to hold it together. Seeing other women rub all over her boyfriend and monopolize his time. She's never been insecure about their relationship until this trip to France. Is she holding Gavin back?
I think MS Parker is a big tease with the way she has ended this second volume of this serial. I can't wait to see where she's going to the Carrie and Gavin in the end. I guess repeating in my mind don't screw up, don't screw up to Gavin as he sits on the yacht with Alizee doesn't mean he can hear me. I'm hoping Gavin is thinking with his big head when Vol 3 resumes.
I'm having issues with all these characters!! I know Alizee is up to something more than just wanting Gavin, and quite likely Pierre is correct.
Vincent, there's something not right with him an I feel like it's more than being a man whore and trying to get Gavin to do the same.
Pierre, I don't have any reason to believe he's not being truthful, other than his showing up where he did to introduce himself to Carrie and ask for her help.
Then again his timing for going to check out the yacht could have been better. Grr I have no clue if anyone is honest other than Carrie and Gavin, they turn up the heat in Vol 2. Trying to rekindle their sex life and spend more time together to reconnect after work obligations kept them stressed for so long.

So, at the end of Vol. I Carrie finds two ladies (not what Carrie calls them!!) naked and in their hotel room bed. Vol. II- poor Gavin doesn’t know what hits him when Carrie gets a hold of him. Luckily he was working on a surprise for Carrie that explains his strange behavior. They work through their stale sex relationship by communicating and opening up about what is on their mind. Gavin was thinking Carrie was not into his life style because of what happened to her with Howard. Carrie was thinking she wasn’t good at what Gavin wanted in the bedroom.
Carrie is approached by Pierre, a French journalist, working on a story to expose and bring awareness on sex trafficking in Cannes. Pierre enlists Carrie’s help and expertise on the subject. He has Alizee in his sights. Alizee has several bars and nightclubs on the same street that Vincent and Gavin are considering purchasing and renovating an abandoned building; Vincent has brought in Alizee to consult with him and Gavin on their new business venture to open Club Prive. Alizee has other plans for Gavin!!!

I Love reading serial novels, they are like soap operas that play out in your head. Now these soap operas are better than the ones you see on TV, because you pick out the characters and almost always we are the leading ladies! Which is why I love serial novels. Okay enough of that explanation, lets talk about Carrie and Gavin.
OMG this is the second book in the serial spin off of Club Prive~ Frinch Connection. Let me tell you tensions run high, with the new characters that Miss Parker has thrown into Gavin and Carrie's lives. There are some situations that need explaining or just miss understood. There are woman you will want to beat down! and yes there are some really hot and sexy, steamy scenes! But the love that Gavin and Carrie share is strong, I hope they can overcome everything that is being thrown at them in the French Riviera!
I can't wait till the next one and yes ladies as you know serial novels leave you in a cliffer, but this one left me with my jaw dropped and screaming at my Kindle...NOOOOOOO! Yeah the next one can;t get here fast enough!

This second book is a steamy page turner!! I can't wait to see if Gavin and Carrie successfully establish their business venture or if everything they've built falls apart.

This is a short read. The story has laughs, pain, suspense, and heartbreak.
Carrie and Gavin are still together but they are struggling to fight against all the misunderstandings and people bent on breaking them apart. The more time they spend apart the more difficult it is to really connect. He is always at meetings and she is now getting pulled into something she is not sure she is ready for. Are they building a stronger relationship or is this trip going to rip them apart forever? Does Gavin still love Carrie? Does Carrie still love Gavin?
I love both Carrie and Gavin. You can feel the love they both feel for each other. The steam is still there but is it enough to keep them together? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book, this series, and this author.

Gavin and Carrie are still in Cannes scouting out locations for the new sex club. His partner is a very sketchy guy considering how he treats Gavin and disrespects Carrie. There is a new player, Alizee, a businesswoman from Corsica who has many clubs and bars in the area. She's not exactly a partner but she seems to be worse than the other guy. Carrie has befriended a journalist with interest in the sex trafficking industry, is he doing research or looking to get into the biz? So many questions with these new people. Just like the previous books there is some super steamy sex and Gavin is getting back go his roots. The only issue I have with Carrie is her trust in Gavin seems to waffle a little too frequently. Considering the industry he's in she should trust him. My copy was given for an honest review.

M.S. Parker is truly one of the best authors that I have had the privilege to read and review for. Club prive 7 french connection is great from the start to the finish. Carrie and gavin'S chemistry is strong, but not as strong as it used to be. While opening a new club they are also trying to find their way back to that mind blowing chemistry they had in the beginning. As things start heating up for them again and their passion starts to find new outlets, or will certain people cause them to loose eachother forever. I have always liked Carrie and gavin'S connection, it's not just the chemistry there's more to it then that they are indeed soulmates. I hope their love will help them find their way.
