4-4.5 stars

Book 3 takes us into the coupling of the third friend Kerry (from the group of five human friends consisted of Donna, Ivie, Ricki and Shannon) and third vamp friend Finn (group consisted of hot vamps starting with Conner, Alexander (Lex), Archer and Calder (who is the only one that sticks out cause he's a werewolf).
The only difference here is the fact that Kerry is a witch and is supposed to become a High Preastess of her coven and she is connected to Finn on a deeper level since Finn was a druid before turned vampire, so they continuously visit each other in their dreams. Kerry is reluctant to the potential relationship with Finn cause of the old ruling that this kinda thing is forbidden (witches and vampires are enemies) BUT the sudden changes in the vampire world involves the whole course of changing events that binds witches and werewolves into the united battle against evil (The Faction)that wants to take over and run the vampire kind...
Kerry and Finn must work together, must protect each other and are bound to break every rule written when they unleash their attraction into the full mode...
so, here we have:
1) a whole bunch of supernatural creatures (vampires, witches, werevolves) in one place
2) interesting plot
3) intensity of anticipation and banter between the main characters
4) of the charts sex scenes
5) intertwined two paralelle storylines

and here is the main issue I had with this book, the other storyline that involves Ricki and Calder (I know it was supposed to lead us into their own book, which is next to follow) went on my nerves like urgh...
I am definitely not a werewolves kinda chick...and Clader was not an alpha, he was kinda like a winy dog puppy...and not in cute way...fucking annoying!

therefore, I will wait for the book 5 which will be Archer and Shannon's story.

My lord I love this freaking series!

I seriously cannot get enough of these books and Kerri and Finn were just as amazing as the previous books.

The plot twists and turns in this series are absolutely remarkable and leave you on the edge of your seat all the way through. The extent of thought that has gone into all the fine little details is just amazing and really makes you feel like you have become one of the characters.

At first Kerri puts up a really strong front and I wasn't really sure what to think. However once Finn breaks her down you get a much better understanding of why she is the way she is. I loved reading a book that had a strong alpha that also was a complete sweetheart. Totally fell in love with Finn and would happily take some more of him!

Overall I devoured this book and cannot wait for more in this series!!!!

Definitely my favorite paranormal series of all times!

Bewitched, Bothered and Bitten
Bewitched, Bothered & Bitten by CC Wood
Paranormal romance. 3rd in an interrelated series. Read in order.
I used to read a lot of paranormal books, but over the past few years I have moved away from the genre. But it's really nice to get back to it occasionally, especially when you are looking for something different. The Bitten Series has always been a favorite of mine for a few reasons: A) It's funny. B) It's Hot. C) There is a group of fun girlfriends I love who *may* be based off of my friends and myself. D) It has been kind of paranormal 'light' without a lot of alternate world building.

Bewitched Bothered and Bitten was a bit more of a serious entry to the series. Where Donna's book, Bite Me , was funny and Ivie's book, Once Bitten, Twice Shy , was hot as hell, this one is more serious and paranormally political. We are really getting into the politics of the Vampire/Werewolf/Witch relations. Some of the supernatural creatures, The Faction, want to take over the world, but our group wants to fight against them.

Kerry is a witch. A very powerful witch. She is kind of ostracized in the witch world because her father practiced black magic, but she is still part of the coven, and is named to be the next High Priestess of the coven. The thing is, Vampires, Werwolves and Witches don't really play well together. But Kerry's two best friends are with Vampires, another one has some vibes with a werewolf, and Kerry is thrown into situations with them all the time. Finn, the super sexy vampire, seems to have gotten himself attached to Kerry, and though she tries to fight it, it keeps getting harder.
QUOTE MARKFor months he'd pursued me. The first time he came to me in a dream, I thought it was my sex-starved imagination desperate for some relief..."

But the dreams were more than dreams, they were connecting in sleep, and holy crap it was hot! And much as Kerry fought Finn, he continued to come back for more, teasing and challenging her until she gave in.
QUOTE MARKC'mon, Kerry. Surely, if you're that unmoved by me, you could kiss me with no problem."...
"I double dog dare you," he whispered right before he kissed me.

As the successor to the highest position in the Coven, and one of the most powerful witches in the hemisphere, Kerry needed protection. Of course what does a good alpha male do? Force the girl to live with them for 'protection'.

The rest of the story was more about the "prophecy" that they find, and how to fight against a super powerful vampire with an even more powerful warlock who is willing to use black magic.

CC seemed to put a lot of research into the witch part of the book. There were a lot of spells and magic, and it really all seemed to be well researched Wiccan spells and rituals (I don't know that they are, but they seemed to be). To me a good paranormal book requires a really talented writer, because you have to buy into this whole alternate world the author is creating, and it has to feel real enough for you to suspend disbelief. CC does that very well in this book.

Though Bewitched, Bothered and Bitten started out super hot, the majority of the book was action and the mystery of the group solving the prophecy. Still, there were some good sexy scenes that CC writes so well.
QUOTE MARKI'm going to take you hard and fast, and there's nothing you can do but lie here and take it."

As Kerry finally gives into Finn, I really enjoyed her letting down her guard.

Bewitched, Bothered and Bitten

Likes:

•I loved visiting with the girls again (but I wish there was more!)
•I really liked Kerry.
•Finn--total alpha badass, but totally takes care of his woman.
•Great sex scenes.
•Very well researched info on magic.
•An exciting read.
•I loved the teases throughout of Ricki and Shannon's upcoming books.
•Kerry was plus sized (I wish it was mentioned more).

Dislikes:

•This was much more of a serious paranormal book rather than paranormal "light". Lots of paranormal politics.
•There was too much about the war and not enough about the romance.
•I wish I saw the other couples more.

Rating: 4 stars, 4 Heat

The Down and Dirty:
While this isn't my favorite of the series, I am still intrigued and enjoying it enough to look forward to Ricki and Shannon's books. Bewitched, Bothered and Bitten didn't have all the humor of the first book, or the hot sex of the second, but it has more excitement, and I am very impressed with the research and world building. This one is good for even the serious paranormal fan.

Wow! This just keeps getting better and better. Kerry and Finn's story is filled with so much more suspense as their friends begin to gather and form plans in how to fight The Faction that threatens their supernatural world. As their bond grows they also have to learn what's ahead for their futures while they deal with betrayal and aggression from the rising evil that could be an end to vampire, werewolves and witches alike.

Kerry must be the driving force in bringing these groups together to work as a unified front.

I can't stop reading. I'm off to start Ricki and Calder's story. It's time to delve into life with the werewolves.

4.5 Stars! For more on this review, please see...

Right off the top, I really enjoyed this book. It's easily the best in the series and I wouldn't hesitate to slap a 4.5 star rating on it! Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten is the third book in C.C. Wood's Bitten series and I would say she has finally hit her stride. The series revolves around five friends that have unexpectedly been thrust into the supernatural world. I found the first two books in the series, Bite Me and Once Bitten, Twice Shy, the stepping stones for what is about to come. You have met the characters, set up a few of the couples and gotten a slow build to the evil that is wreaking havoc. Basically, the groundwork has been set. There isn't much world building to wrap your brain around, no hidden/parallel/underground world, the supernaturals live amongst the blissfully unaware humans so it's effortless to just fall into the story and not have to sort out who goes where with what. Basically, it's easy reading paranormal.

Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten is where this series really comes together. Prophecies and allegiances will be revealed. Simple vampire/human relationships have been moved to the back burner, it's time for the big guns; witches, warlocks, shifters and vampires with special abilities all descend. War is coming and who can really be trusted? A larger plot is evolving around the individual story taking place between Kerry, a witch with some very powerful abilities and Finn, a member of the vampire council that has a few tricks of his own. If you were to look at any successful paranormal author with a long running series such as Sherrilyn Kenyon or J.R. Ward, you will find that element of dual plotlines; one following the current love interests which then feeds into the overall plot surrounding the whole series. Hot sex between the hero and heroine is not going to maintain the interest of readers for the long run, there has to be a larger cause and villains with staying power to hold your attention for any kind of prolonged success. In BBB, C.C. finally gives that to us.

Kerry is a heroine anyone could get behind. She has suffered loss and has been isolated within her coven because of it, yet she is smart, straightforward with a sardonic sense of humor, confident in her abilities and you don't have to deal with any self deprecating comments about her body image. She knows exactly who she is and she owns it. She might fight the inevitable, but she is not weak. Finn is the quintessential sexy vampire but he brings his own special abilities to the table. With two supernaturals going head to head, I would say they are evenly matched, the sexual tension is palpable from the first scene and with no clear dominant, their coupling provides plenty of fireworks. More insight into the rising Faction and their sinister plans is revealed and evil, but oh so beautiful Cornelius will finally make his debut. He could make a good girl go bad and I would happily volunteer. C.C. released a hot little novella, One Little Bite, in the Shiver anthology back in October that introduced you to Calder and Ricki. It's not imperative that you read this prior to BBB as events from their romp are explained, but Calder is a shifter, and he's hot, so it's definitely worth your time. Their connection provides an additional side story in Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten and a prelude of what's to come in their book which releases next.

Plans are revealed, betrayal runs rampant, people are dying and no one is safe. It's anyone's guess who will be next but I guarantee, Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten will leave you wanting more.

ARC given for an honest review

Have you been keeping up with this series? If not I must ask WHY THE HELL NOT! This is a wonderful paranormal romance to read and enjoy with your friends. With spectacular characters and heart fluttering drop dead gorgeous vampires.

Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten (BBB) is book 3 in the Bitten series. Bite Me, & Once Bitten, Twice Shy, are the first two. Each story is about a different friend & their own love interest. BBB is Kerri and Finn's story.

description

Right off the bat CC engulfs you in the combustible heat that Finn and Kerry have with one another. While their love is taboo in the sup world it's definitely undeniable. Head strong and very independent, and with life in the coven becoming more complex, the last thing Kerry needs is to get involved with a vampire. Finn on the other hand will not be deterred. He'll do anything he needs to to convince Kerry that they need to be together. Even if that means slipping into her dreams to show her just how explosive their love can be. Kerry's stubbornness is no match for Finn's persistence.

description

I love the men in this series and Finn is at the top of that list. Sexy, sweet, and oh so romantic (note to author I WANT ONE!said in very whiny voice )
They are the best kind of alphas. Sexy, erotic, demanding, and so tender that you can't help but swoon.

As amazing as I think the men are. It's the woman that rule this series. Their characters and personality jump off the pages. Even though they may frustrate you at times you can't help but love them. I love seeing Kerry come into her own within the coven. She faces parts of her past, involving her family, that she has ignored for too long and she's finally breaking free of it.

Finally the darkness behind the Faction is revealed and I gotta say, I was a bit creeped out and at the edge of my seat! With each new Bitten novel, this series seems to get better and better. I would suggest this series to anyone, whether you're new to paranormal or it's one of your favorite genres. You can't help but get swept up in this supernatural world. In BBB its really coming together. There is more action as the story continues to unfold. With the prophecy being unveiled, sides are being chosen, with betrayal coming from all sides. You won't know who to trust.

I can't wait for the next book and I hear she's already started working on it!

“C’mon Kerry. Surely, if you are that unmoved by me, you could kiss me with no problem.” “What? Are we twelve? Next you’re gonna double dog dare me.” “I double dog dare you,”

Now I love me a great Vampire story but throw in some witches and boy am I hooked! I love this series so much and was so excited when this arrived on my kindle. C.C, Wood does a fabulous job of weaving a story full of plot twist, humor, and some of the sexiest vamps around!

“NO! You are mine, Kerry, my mate, and I will not let you put yourself in harm’s way!”

Kerry and Finn’s story is not an easy one but damn if it isn’t a great one! Finn has no doubt that Kerry is it for him but with her being a witch and moving up in the coven and him being a vampire she is very reluctant to get involved Witches and Vampires do not mix and the two of them getting together would change everything about their worlds. But sometimes change is necessary. War is brewing in the paranormal community and Kerry and all her friends are in the dead center. She has to decide how deep she is willing to go for those she loves and the people she believes in.

“You taste of honey and wine. I could spend hours savoring such a delicious treat.”

Now, I need to talk Finn for a minute. Even his name is sexy! He is an amazing mix of controlling and understanding. Strong willed and giving. Alpha and kind. DAMN! I want one! When Kerry avoids him he forces his way into her dreams. When she runs from him, he chases. And when she is at her wits end and about to break he holds her up. I loved him. I want him. On top of all that he is as sexy as they come and can spew out some great dirty talk too!

“Don’t let past sorrow dictate your future happiness, my dear. And don’t let those old bitches in the coven decide it for you either.”

C.C.’s Bitten was my first taste of Paranormal Romance and every book in the series has made me fall more and more in love with this genre. The stories are so wonderfully intricate and well thought out that it is nearly impossible to put them down and each one makes me want to fun to C.C. and yell at her to go write me some more! (BTW now I desperately NEED a werewolf book, just saying) While this story can easily be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading the whole series since they are all just as great!

Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten is written by C.C. Wood. This book is part of a paranormal series. I read it without reading the others in the series first and it was a really good read without having read the first two, which I will be going back and reading. This book centers around a witch named Kerry, her relationship with Finn a vampire, and the war between two groups of the paranormal community. Kerry struggles the way people in her coven think of her due to the fact that her father used dark magic, and her mother was very open-minded and a free thinker. Regardless of what people thought of her parents, Kerry is picked at the next in line to become the High Priestess. Will Kerry be able to stop the war coming between the paranormal community and the Faction? Will she be able to bring peace between the witches, vampires, and werewolves? Will Kerry open her heart to Finn and let him in?
I have to say that I normal do not read paranormal; it has never really been my thing. This book may have just made me change my mind about that. It was so well written and engaging, I was up until midnight reading it the first night that I picked it up, and finished it the next morning! Great book and highly recommended! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! C.C. Wood had made herself another fan.

** 2.5 Bored Stars **

I've been waiting for any info on this book since I read the second book of this series. But there wasn't a title or cover let alone the blurb available for a long time.
And then suddenly when I searched for it again days ago, not only there was a blurb but the book was also published..!

I guess after reading and obviously liking the other books of this series I had my hopes high.
But they were crushed the minute I was at 4-5%.

I was mostly flipping through the pages, this book was mild and boring for me. There wasn't much chemistry between Finn and Kerry (at least not for me)..it was just too easy. I would've liked some drama or fight or more of that funny teasing between them.

Still I didn't DNFed it as whatever may be the case C.C. Wood has ended the other books so brilliantly with some damn good action to make the whole read enjoyable. Alas! I was disappointed there too.

No detailed description of the fight or too easily fooled evil Cornelius was certainly not what I was expecting.

I don't think I'll be too inclined to read the next book of this series anytime soon but to know the end I would have to ^_^

Maybe some of you like this book. Hope it turns out to be an interesting read for you guys..:))

Review for Bewitched, Bothered, and Bitten
Subject: GLORIOUS PARANOMAL BOOK

C.C. Wood has written another fabulous book that weaves in with the others. This is from another character’s point of view and what is happening. Thus, keeping you up-to-date with the events that are happening.
The main character in this third book is about Kerry, a witch who will be upgraded to a more powerful title later in the book. The man in her dreams, Finn, is a vampire.
Witches, Vampires, and Werewolves are not supposed to mingle with the other species. So…. what happens when Finn just cannot seem to stay away from Kerry, from the witch’s line? Will the Witches’ council allow for them to be together? No? Yes? Read on to find out more.
Kerry finds herself giving in to him but at what cost? When the tides are coming close, will Kerry finally accept him for who he is? Or leave him be?
There is more to the story than just this. You have an evil warlock, some mentioning of a Tom Hiddleston, betrayals by those close to her, death, more death-but vampires, and romance-wth moments.

This story will leave the reader wanting to find out more about the upcoming prophecy. Will it come true? Is it referring to who Kerry was talking about? Well, keep tuned for more by this author, C.C. Wood.

This story picks up shortly after the novella One Little Bite in the Shiver Anthology left off, centering on yet another one of Donna’s friends. Kerri is a witch, who other than her four best friends pretty much keeps to herself… She’s a bit of an outcast in the witch community due to her deceased father’s turning to black magic when she was just a child.

Witches have been warned for centuries to avoid relationships with vampires. A little difficult with two of her friends in relationships with vampires, and Finn wanting to pursue one with her to the extent she’s dreaming of him.

Kerri is asked by her coven leader to participate in meetings with the paranormal community to become a united front against the threat of The Faction, who continues infiltrating and attacking members of the paranormal community. Who can be trusted?

Hot alpha males, humor, great action packed, sexy storyline.... We get to catch up with Conner & Donna, Ivie and Alex.. And what’s the deal with Calder & Rickie? And what about the whole prophecy of the 5...? Darn, I need answers! Looking forward to the next one in the series....

It’s been a while since I’ve read a paranormal book, and I was excited to read “Bewitched, Bothered and Bitten” – It was the perfect book to ease my way back into paranormal territory! Smart Witches? Check! Alpha Werewolves? Check! Sexy as hell Vampires? Check! Scary Evil Guy? Check! Sexy scenes between hero and heroine? Check-Check! This book has it all! I was not able to put it down and when not reading, all I thought about was: What could happen next? I don’t want to tell you the plot because I don’t want to give anything away, but it was better than good. Fun to read, easy to understand. The characters are likable and you can identify with them, I also found myself wanting to know more about them. It was entertaining and I cannot wait for the next one! (Even though it is part of a series, it could be read as a standalone). I’m not disappointed at all as I truly enjoyed and lost myself within the pages of this book. You should do the same.

The series seem to get better compared to the first. This one has more action, a kick-ass witch heroine and a doting vampire hero. Kerry, one of the crazy fun girlfriends happens to be a very powerful witch and she's out to help the vamps, werewolves and witches work together to survive the prophecy of five (yes....there is a dooms day prophecy of course!). She's so powerful, she can beat the vamps and the weres easily and of course her vamp mate gets all edgy because he can't stop her from putting herself in danger.

Has some insights to the next two couples: Ricki and Calder of the werewolf clan.....and possibly the tough girl Shannon and Handsome Vamp Restauranteur Asher (remember him from the first book?)

Can't wait for the next one.....

I cannot think of a better way to spend my time than reading this book. I have waited for Finn and Kerry's story and I was not dissappointed. Even if you are not into paranormal romance but you love reading romance you must read this book. The character's and the story are so well described you feel as if you know them and you fall in love with each and every one of them. I also love how the conflicts of the story bring everyone closer together. If you do not read another book ever please read this one. If you have not read the series what are you waiting for???

I was lucky enough to be granted an ARC of Bewitched, Bothered and Bitten:

Wow! I loved book 1 in this series. I read book 2 and thought, oh I love this one even more, come on people just one word, LEX. Yup, enough said.

But then, I got my grimy paws on book 3! AND if it is even possible, I love this book even more then the first two books in the series. Each book delves further into this new world and we are introduced to fascinating story lines. But you need not worry, you are not bombarded with too much information in the each book, rather you are invited in to enjoy and get to know each person and actually learn about them and who/what they are.

I love this writing style, which is fun, sexy, smart and sassy. I actually laughed out loud (not just lol) but real laughs.

Every woman out there needs her own Finn. He is funny, smart and wickedly handsome. Kerry would be welcome in my group of friends anytime. She is comfortable with herself and I even like her snarkiness (is that a word? well it is now). She has tremendous strength in her that everyone else could see but she just had to understand it and make it her own.

I cannot wait for the next book. Must. Have. Now. (please)

CC Wood has really come into her own with this book - excellent progression of the bigger, underlying story line - the world is built, the players are in place, the characters are beautifully developed, everyone is fully engaged and it is wonderful and exciting.

The intrigue is there - I can't wait for Ricki and Calder's story next!

This book was the story of Finn and Kerry and it would have to be my favourite of the couples so far. Kerry seemed more authentic and I liked how she actually didn't come across as so vulnerable. She was strong and determined and tough but not in an annoying way. Looking forward to Ricki's story though.

With the third book in the series, the plot thickens... The story revealed new awesome information about all heroes and heroines and if I wasn't already crazy about Bitten series, I would be now.
C.C. Wood's writing style is very engaging and it's almost impossible not to love every single character in the book, good or bad.
