Sidekicks are entertaining and insightful reading companions, filled with delightful commentary and thought-provoking questions. Readers have raved that Dave Eagle’s Sidekicks "really put you in touch with the many layers of the novel," "keep you entertained," and are "perfect if you want a vivid understanding of the story." Designed to be read side by side with the novels they complement, they’ll give you even more reasons to love some of today’s best books.
Why buy buy the book. It seems to me that you are similar to the old school Cliff Notes. Instead of reading the book you go to Cliff Notes and save yourself from having to read the story. I feel like I have wasted my money by buying this book report.
Why buy the book? It seems to me that you are like the old school Cliff Notes. Instead of reading the book you spend a couple of bucks to get the Cliff Notes version. I thought I was buying a novel, not an interpretation of book report. I feel like I wasted my money.
This is the second Sidekick that I have read and I hated the first one. This one, however, gave some very interesting observations about John Sandford's writing and the story itself. So I am left with the dilemma of should I read another? Probably will give it another try.
This was an interesting little synopsis/review of John Sanford's "Deadline", a Virgil Flowers novel. The author pretty much agreed with how I thought about the book, but added some interesting insights I hadn't thought of. I haven't read too many of these kinds of things, and I rather liked it. Not too long and in depth (basically rewriting the whole novel) and it stayed on point without adding a bunch of malarkey that wasn't ever intended by the author of the book.
I did not read this book. Goodreads sucks when it comes to searching for books. I actually read 'Deadline' by John Sandford, and try as I might, I can't get it to pop up in the search field. HEY GOODREADS!!! WORK ON YOUR SEARCH FUNCTION!!!
There is nothing in the title or on the book cover to lead me to expect it's an analysis of a Sanford book. Neat job of fooling me, but not really cricket. I want my money back.
