A young boy's snacktime is interrupted by a visit from an elephant. As soon as he moves over to make room, they are joined by a tiger ... and a hippo ... and a big blue whale ... and soon a full menagerie, each insisting there's room for one more.

I love the pictures in this book! The rhymes are good but I think to fully appreciate them you have to read them out loud...and well, I am in a library, and those everyone else chooses to be noisy...I will try to be quiet...
This book has a nice rhythm to it while reading and is similar to Brown, Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see althought it is about too many animals in a house. I love the end as it has an onomatopoeia at the end! The illustrations are also wonderful.
I really enjoyed this story until I realized that it was just like the story "The Mitten." That should have been okay, except that it was so much the same without any surprises, I feel like, "Why wouldn't I just read the mitten?"
Repetitive song/rap like story that builds until it bursts!
I think I would like this a whole lot more if it was just a little shorter. I'm afraid it's going to give me an asthma attack when I go to read it aloud.
Meh. While I appreciate the message that it's good to share, I'm easily annoyed by repetitive books and this one doesn't seem to offer anything new and fresh. The storyline is very similar to The Mitten.
Silly fun sing along, interactive read aloud picture book, to share with your child or a classroom full of them. Kids will love all the animals that come a calling and continually interrupt a young boys lunch.
Who is coming to your house for a bite to eat?A cute book about several types of animals. Use this book to see different animals and we'll as counting. Nice illustrations. You can easily identify the characters. It was fun to see who was at the door. Little rhythm to get the kids engaged.
