All Due Respect Books continues their strong winning streak of releasing super-charged crime fiction month over month with Phil Beloin Jr’s Revenge is a Redhead. I picked this one up, read the first few lines, and wound up finishing it in one sitting. It’s that good. It hooks you right away, and the plot moves at a nice, fast pace. This one is not in the least bit bloated, and there are no wasted words.

In this novella you meet Rich, who is having a crazy rough night. He’s been evicted from home and is low on cash. So low in fact that when he meets the smoking hot stripper, Cherry Pop, whom he is deeply attracted to, he can’t even afford the VIP lap dance she offers. As his night takes a turn for the worse, Rich has a run in with some thugs at the local homeless shelter and he is forced to react with violence. As circumstances work out, Rich finds himself partnered up with Cherry Pop as they work together to get themselves out of the mess they are in, and Cherry Pop is not short on assets or talent.

Revenge is a Redhead by Phil Beloin Jr. is pulp fiction at its outstanding best. It was just pure fun to read. Beloin writes with a pulpy style that keeps the pages flipping. Highly recommended for anyone that enjoys well-written crime fiction in the pulp genre. There just aren’t enough good books out there like this one. Hopefully Phil Beloin Jr and All Due Respect are cooking up a lot more to come soon.

You won't find a better deal on the internet. Revenge Is A Redhead is a fantastic piece of noir. A short and quick read with low down, dirty characters in a gritty, urban setting written in sharp and witty prose. All the stuff you want from a crime book except with more spunk. An exceptional read at an exceptional price. Can't beat that.

This book is basically a novella-size voyage into the underbelly of society. It is filled with all the classic pulp elements, including a stripper/prostitute with a heart of gold, an oversized bouncer, a preacher, men who lose their eyes, women tied to crosses, molotov cocktails, and a down-and-out hero who has been thrown out of his home and hasn't enough cash left to even pay for a lap dance. Although all the action seems to take place on a few short blocks, it is a story chock full of action from beginning to end with bodies strewn just about everywhere. Beloin deftly takes what others could have turned into a ridiculous mess and makes a fun, action packed extravaganza out of it. This book is not for those looking for fairy tales about winged fairies and princesses. But, for those looking for something a little more gritty and street hardened, this might be your ticket.

All Due Respect has a gem in Phil Beloin Jr. Revenge is a Redhead is a short twisted tale about Rich Brown and his new found stripper friend Cherry Pop.

There's a lot of ground covered in 90 pages and I really did not want this to end so quickly. This is straight up, no BS, pulp mayhem.

Great fun

Loved this book, first time reading something like this. Hope you can enjoy it as well. Wish it was longer although I sense that it was exactly how it should be

I am running out of space for physical books, I own everything Hard Case Crime has put out: everything by Chuck Palahniuk, Chandler and for some reason most of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter novels, to name a few of my eclectic collection.

So to save space and money (in most cases) I went out and purchased myself a kindle. Amazon’s algorithm counting every hard boiled novel, decided to present Revenge Is A RedRevenge is a Redhead by [Beloin Jr., Phil] Head as a “You Might like this, PS we are not spying on you” recommendation.

Less than an English £1 and 93 pages long I thought what can go wrong?

Phil Beloin Jr didn’t was a word on the page, pacing his story with edgy dialogue, action and just a bit of smut. The story follows, down on his luck Rich son of a cop, who finds himself with out a home and part-time professional clothes remover and lady of the night Cherry Pop. Who meet at a “Gentlemen’s club” Rich has less than 75 cents in his pocket. Cherry takes a shine to him.

what happens next would somewhat spoil the plot so we will skip over that. Someone is wronged and revenge is sort.

Beloin creates two likable characters, who engage the reader and in the end you want to root for our duo even when they are slashing, shooting or beating people to death and in sometime even sleeping with them to death. According to Cherry it is not a bad way to after all the the french have a word for it.

if you like short punchy reads, good characters and modern noir then Revenge Is A Red is for you, if you liked Money Shot by Christa Faust then it is a must.
