Want to learn about your birthday, yourself and your destiny?
No?
Well, how about an insight into that of a fictional character?
I love astrology, horoscopes and tarot.
Not so much for how they relate to me but for how I can use them to help shape my characters. The Element Encyclopedia of Birthdays takes every day of the year (including the 29th of February) and gives an insight into persons born on that day.
Whether or not you believe in this sort of thing, it is a wonderful thing to contemplate when you are creating your characters and possibly choosing their date of birth.
To put the book to the test, I took a few birthdays of fictional characters to see what it had to say.
9th January
Severus Snape detests mediocrity. He is prone to lose his temper. A nap from time to time would do him some good. Sensitivity toward others isn’t scheduled to improve until around the age of 42.
1st July
Indiana Jones is charismatic, adventurous and intelligent. He is impulsive and always ready to help someone out. His own worst enemy, he should try to be in control of the situation instead of letting his impulses run away with him.
18th August
Percy Jackson is sensitive and feels the need to guide and protect others. Once he matures and sets his mind to something, he can achieve it. He is able to gain plenty of friends but needs to take care not to get wrapped up in his emotions.
1st September
Artemis Fowl is obsessed with his work. He likes a challenge but his refusal to give in can hinder him. More laughter in his life would benefit him. Regardless of his age, he will accomplish his goals.
22nd September
Bilbo and Frodo Baggins share the same birthday. The two of them are hardworking, intelligent and a little eccentric. They can be restless and feel the need to make something of themselves. Relationships are important to them but later in life they become more able to rely on themselves.
Those are just a few snippets. Of course, I can't vouch as to whether these are accurate traits of all these characters. What are your opinions?
I find it lots of fun to look through The Element Encyclopedia of Birthdays. In addition to giving information for each birthday, it gives some information on astrology and tarot.
I’m glad to own a copy of this book and I recommend it to anyone interested in choosing the right date of birth for their own fictional characters.

Did i read the entire book, no not every date, but i read mine, my friends, my daughter, their kids an i read all the zodiac profiles for all 12 zodiacs, i really enjoyed this book and i feel this book really defined all of us well :)
Not to mention i can use this in the future for character designs and helping further my profiles within my writing
I bought it on sale with the Borders closure, but I have to admit that I've been really amused with it as friends birthdays come around. And I'm a bit worried that the description of my birthday was right on target.
I am really into astrology, zodiac and numerology so I was excited to finally get a birthday meaning book. This book is really fun to have around and share with people. The book has a brief introduction about the information included for each date. Each birthday includes info for signs & symbols
terrifyingly accurate. i don’t know how she did it when it’s only based on the month and day or both. surely not everyone with the same birthday has the same personality or life or struggles. yet every entry on this book is so accurate.
I read the whole book over the month of February as part of research for the Book I'm writing !!! And I really liked it the personality of people interest me very much it helped me to make more believable characters since it gave people strength and weakness of people which helped a lot !!!
Theresa Cheung is the author of this book. She is a psychic phenomena, and has been focused on this study for 25 years. She also has her master’s degree and attended King’a college in Cambridge. The theme of the story is to identify your true personality through your zodiac sign. The book is about all different type of birthdays, and what each of them mean. It also identifies the persons personality and how they act. My favorite part is the category of my birthday because I was able to read about my personality and learn more about myself. My least favorite part is other birthday’s because I wasn’t really interested. There were no main characters. I could relate to my February section because it’s my birthday month and I could relate to some things that were said. I like the book because it was interesting and allowed me to learn deeper about myself and the people around me. I would recommend the book to people who believe in Astrology and Zodiacs.
I must say, this book blew my mind! each page is a day of the year which explains so accurate the theme of the day and its pros and cons, as well as briefly described "your greatest challenge" & "the way forward is..."
Everybody's birthday i read left me so excited at its accuracy. Helped me much in developing myself and discovering my own basic theme translated into a human understanding.
Also, as a new zodiac starts, it has a few pages describing their basic themes into easy to understand terms. This book could turn basic understandings of zodiacs into advanced ill even say with surprising ease.
This book tried to be very specific with information that should have been more general.
Each section is broken down by sun sign, but you can’t go into detail day by day so specifically by just using sun signs. This completely ignores all other planets, houses, signs and their locations based off of the year and specific time of birth.
I read mine and my closest friends’ and family’s birth dates and did not find more than one or two pieces of their descriptions to be accurate, if any.
The author, Theresa Cheung, whilst having a master’s degree in theology, a background in spirituality and researching the afterlife, specifically heaven and angels - is most certainly not an astrologer.
I've had this book for a long time and it's a really great reference. I like how it uses all different elements like astrology and tarot and color theory. Especially like how it goes into each sign and talks about how they are as a child, man/woman, parents, etc. and it has affirmations for each birthday in the back!
These types of books are always hard to review. Obviously this isn’t for everyone. I personally find this topic extremely intriguing and all around just enjoyable.
This book has a pretty good explanation for each birth date. Of course some may say it doesn't fit them, but I would say it's pretty close to all of those who's I read in my family and friend group
I love when people tell me their birthdays. This book just makes birthdays even more interesting. It was one of the first books that I book in college.
The best book for individual birthday descriptions! It has shocked me in many ways. Very brief, yet informative and easy to look up anyones birthday. Extremely insightful!
I doubt anyone reads every single birthday but, like most, I have read the birthday of my family and a few friends. We were all very surprised at how much the descriptions fit the person, even things they did not want to acknowledge about themselves. Two pages per birthday is a much longer length than most astrology books. All in all, it is great fun! If you have the money for simple fun, it can be quite worth it.
This book is interesting, particularly the elemental and astrological information. I enjoyed reading the personality profiles as well, but was not at all surprised that many of them didn't completely fit the people that I know. Nonetheless, I'm sure I will refer to this book time and again, so I plan on keeping it for a while.
This book was oddly insightful! I came to some realisation about myself and my family. Somehow it was very accurate...the good and the bad. I gave this book four out of five stars because I wish the Cheung wrote a disclaimer stating that her book was a guideline and not set in stone. I found it to be very interesting and used it to get to know my coworkers a little bit more as a guideline.
what a fun book! got this as a gift never heard of it before but it's exciting, that's all I can say. If you're into this sort of thing please pick this up it's great fun to flip through!
