I wish there had been more small butterflies, and perhaps a few more types, but all in all it is easy to use, and the colours are lovely.

This is not a guide that you would pick up to identify a butterfly or moth in your region, but one you would use to learn more about those insects based upon their general climate region. This book has beautiful images and presents a basic overview of butterflies and moths, in general.

Visually beautiful, accurate images of butterflies from around the world, with a lot of information about their habits and habitats. A decent comprehensive introduction to the topic. Despite its pocket size, however, not likely to be useful to a collector unless also a world traveler; more an overview for a beginner. A few confusing points: Not all of the butterflies pictured are clearly labeled with their scientific names, nor the location where they are typically found.
