The past year should have been everything I'd ever dreamed. Why, then, did I feel like something was missing?
Things have been quiet for Carrie Summers and her boyfriend, Gavin Manning, since they took down Gavin's business partner for kidnapping and sex trafficking, among other things. In all their hard work, however, they've lost the spark between them. Could a trip to the French Rivera be just what they need to bring the life back into their relationship...and their club?

Club Privé: French Connection Vol. I (Club Privé: French Connection, #1) is a continuation of Gavin and Cassie's story.
Gavin and Cassie have been through the wringer and have settled into life. But things are starting to become a bit bland. It's time to spice things up before they drift apart.
Can they rekindle what they had and will this trip be just what they need?
I have loved the first series of these two who have become some of my fav characters.
start off by saying I don't know how I feel about this and I don't think I will fully have an opinion until I read the final installment in this series. I love Gavin and Carrie. I have loved them since their story so it scares me when the author wanted to mess with their happy ending. With that said, I dived right into this book...
This is the continuation of Gavin and Carrie's story. Gavin and Carrie have been through so much that life is starting settle a bit. They are both so busy that they don't spend time together and they feel as if they are drifting apart. Will a trip help bring them closer together or is it going to drive a wedge between them forever? Will Gavin and Carrie be able to hold on to their love?
I wanted to shake the crap out of both of these characters.

This new series finds us back catching up with Carrie and Gavin. I would recommend that you read the original Club Privé series first , if you haven't already.
We find Gavin remodelling the club, so that all the illegal activities promoted by Howard are in the past. And Carrie is working crazy hours in her mission to stop more crimes such as Howard committed. They are like ships passing in the night, until Gavin gets an offer which gives them another chance - or does it?
It was great to meet old friends and see how that wild passion translated into everyday life. So often we leave our leads on a high, walking towards an HEA, and that's it. I enjoyed reconnecting and seeing how things turned out. And then a new adventure looms - and set on the Riviera too.
~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~ Carrie and Gavin have been so busy working that things have started to get stale and fizzle out. Both feel like something is missing but don’t say anything to each other. When a chance to go to the French Rivera on business comes up they both hope it will help perk up things that have downhill. Boy do they heat up and fast. Of course there was a huge cliffhanger which makes you want to scream because the next book isn’t out yet. I can’t wait to find out what happens! Characters: The characters were well written. Sex: oh yes Religious: no Would I recommend to others: yes More than one book in the series: yes Genre: Romance Would I read more by this author: yes ~Wicked Reads Review Team~

You meet Gavin and Carrie in Club Prive book 1. I have only had a chance to read the first two, but after completing this read I feel like reading the first books isn't a must.
Gavin Manning and Carrie Summers have had a rocky road with their relationship. They've made it work until Carrie's work, a pro bono lawyer fighting for abused and exploited people, takes over her life, letting her relationship take a back seat.
What could be fixed with a conversation hasn't been done, they both feel the tension and when things explode we are left with more questions than answers.
I absolutely love Gavin and Carrie and was excited for there story in French Connection. I love that they were going to France and all I got to say is I need the next book now. How it was left off had my jaw drop. Can't wait until Dec.
Just when you thought that things might settle down a little for Carrie and Gavin they find themselves back in the weeds again and probably without knowledge of it. Being played sux no matter if it's in a book or not, however, it sure makes for some great reading to see how others describe what happened and take you thru their journey.
Hot hot hot ... but lots of misunderstandings. Just the thing to set up a cliffhanger and leave you wanting more. Or at least a resolution & some sort of happy ending ...
I've got mixed feelings about Club Privé: French Connection, Vol. 1, M.S. Parker. But only because I'm comparing it to the original Club Privé. While Vol 1 of the first was fun and steamy, this one, while still hot, is a little dragging. Although, I understand that Carrie and Gavin are too wrapped up with work to pay attention to each other, and if that's why the mood of this volume is that way, then it's really good. I could feel frustration rolling off my tablet.
Carrie is busy, busy, busy. Too busy even to have time for Gavin, and that's saying something. While she originally thought that working pro bono meant she could control her hours, she got it so very wrong. Now she's working harder than ever and Gavin is left to fend for himself. Which is something she never wanted but what she's doing is important too, right?
Gavin's busy, too. Club Privé was just about done with major renovations but it still has a long way to go before it can open its doors again. Then in the midst of the reno headaches, a former client comes in and wants to talk expansion. In the French Riviera. It's a fantastic opportunity for Gavin, who's trying to right the mistakes he inadvertently committed with the previous club. But can he be on two continents and still have time for Carrie?
It's a painful week but things fall into place and the two are finally on their way to France. But they didn't reckon with how their new investor does business and who he involves in order to get things done.
I think Carrie has let her workaholic tendencies get the better of her, again. After all, wasn't that what her best friend Krissy harping on in the previous novel? Life is that way, yes, it just needs prioritization so significant stuff (like relationships) don't feel like duties instead of privileges. Carrie seemed to think Gavin was a duty and work a privilege. How could she be so wrong?
Gavin is trying to get Carrie back on track. He respects her work, obviously since he's funding her, but wonders why there is that disconnect. He's trying to bury his Dom tendencies so not to scare her and his seeming passivity gives her a go to focus - on getting a bill passed in congress. Neglected and frustrated would only begin to describe how he feels at this point. It's getting to sound like a real life relationship there!
Club Privé: French Connection, Vol. 1 deals with life in a relationship after the whirlwind romance. But since this is also M.S. Parker's erotica, there are some truly hot scenes in these pages and I'm sure they'll be peppered in the volumes to follow. Now if Carrie can just keep her temper with what she finds in the last scene... or maybe not?
Carrie and Gavin are back! This is now a year later after all the crazy mess with Howard and the sex trafficking. Their lives have become very complex and stressful. Their love is still there, but priorities have shifted and they can both feel how they are not connecting at the same level as before.
Gavin is renovating the Club, trying to put behind memories of the sex club it used to be. This is costing him lots of money, both because of the renovations and because the membership fees will not be the same for a dance club. If things don't change soon, Carrie and him will have to talk about downsizing their expenses, or they will end up in monetary hell.
Carrie is still working pro bono pursuing sex traffickers and helping bring justice to the girls being caught in their web. Gavin pays all her expenses and she is not aware of how strapped he is about money. She is working long hours pursuing justice and has forgotten that Gavin should be her first priority.
One gleam of hope is the new deal Gavin is about to make in the French Riviera. Opening up a sex club there with a new partner may solve all the monetary problems. Carrie and Gavin just have to communicate and stop dancing around their issues and just be honest and trust each other.
This is a thriller/romance story that is HOT and full of the realities that affect couples in their every day life. The fact that they are not communicating and are keeping things from each other only makes matters worse. Insecurities, doubt, and confrontations cannot be avoided. They are stepping out of their comfort zones into a new untenable situation. The sex trade is not unique to the US. It is so predominant in Cannes, the both will need to keep their eyes and ears open so they don't end up making mistakes again. Their lives may be at stake!
All three books in this series are out now. I sat down last night and read all three into the early morning hours. People, believe me, this is a fast paced roller coaster ride you will not want to miss!
To know MS Parker’s work is to love it. When I saw yet another serial from her, of course I had to read it! I’m truly hooked! This first volume is the great beginning to start the serial. Leaves you wanting more!
Gavin will melt your panties off with just a look. That man is delicious. Fortunately for Carrie, he only has eyes for her. Though their relationship has hit a stale dry spell. They both have been working hard and have let their relationship fall behind. They both desperately want to reconnect and rekindle the fire they once had, but neither can find the time nor energy.
When an opportunity comes knocking for Gavin, he sees it as the perfect opportunity for him and Carrie to get some much needed alone time. Will Carrie take the time away from her very busy schedule to be with Gavin? Gavin sacrificed a part of him to be with Carrie but that part of him is becoming harder and harder to supress. Will this opportunity make or break our young couple?
The first volume is classic MS Parker. It’s filled with hot and steamy scenes. I had to fan myself a few times. The story is building up to be a great one. Lots of intrigue go along with the hot and steamy. The book pulls you in and by the time you get to the cliffhanger, you are addicted. Speaking of the cliffhanger, I was ready to pull my hair out!!! The book is well written and wonderful. Go 1-click today!
If you haven’t read the first five parts to this series I highly recommend you do.
It’s been an amazingly busy year for Gavin and Carrie. Carrie is busy with her pro bono law firm and Gavin is rebuilding his club but something is missing between them. The to hot to handle romance has started to sizzle down. Gavin gets a to chance expand his club in France and wants to take Carrie with him. Will this be enough to bring back what has been forgotten or will this trip tear them apart?
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
A year can change a person, Carrie and Gavin still want each other but their careers are in the way. I love that Gavin is using his business trip to take Carrie to France to try and reignite the passion they have for each other. The fact that Carrie loves Gavin isn’t the question in her mind. She’s been missing a part of their relationship. Gavin has step back from his BDSM lifestyle for Carrie but he really hasn’t taken the time to see if that is what she wanted. This leaves her feeling insecure in their relationship. Carrie wants Gavin to be himself with her and that includes the how things were in the bedroom. Gavin’s heart is in the right place, but there are others who seem to have a different plan in mine.
M. S. Parker had me hooked from the start. I loved the first five Club Prive books and was looking forward to seeing where she’d take Carrie and Gavin this time. This book did not disappoint me and I’m dying to see what happens next as we were left with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to find out what is in store for Carrie and Gavin and how they will get through everything being thrown at them.
I haven’t read the orginal Club Prive series so I am missing how Carrie and Gavin got together. In this book they are living together and Carrie has her own Pro bono law office specializing in sex trade cases and the like. Gavin has turned Club Prive into a dance club. They feel as if they are drifting apart. They are both so busy they hardly ever see each other. Carrie feels that if she needs to be working all the time to save as many people as possible. Gavin understands what she is doing is important but feels as if he is maybe being pushed to the side. Gavin has been approached about opening a club in France that would be like how Club Prive used to be. Only this time no escourts, strictly consenting adults with no money changing hands between the club members. Gavin feels like this is something he wants to do. Also he and Carrie will get to spend a week in France together. Will this help their relationship or make it worse? What seems might help could actually tear everything apart.
I liked this book and now going to get the original Club Prive series and read it. I love M.S. Parker books. Gavin and Carrie seem to really love each other but are both so busy they hardly ever so each other and that leads to trouble. What Carrie does is great and helps lots of people but I think she needs to realize that taking time for her isn’t horrible and nobody will fault her for it. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next Volume. I don’t want to give away anything so I won’t talk about what has me so curious but I wouldn’t be in a talking mood if I walked in on what Carrie did. They would just be lots of yelling and most likely some kind of violence. Lol.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
Oh my gosh! I don't know where to start with this novella! First, you MUST read the first 5 books in the Club Prive series. Otherwise you'll be completely lost with the background of these two characters. Carrie is a total work-a-holic now that she's self employed and Gavin's been overseeing the construction at Club Prive so they've been missing each other and having random times getting together. Their explosive sex life is no longer explosive and it's something they must work on.
Opportunities arise for both parties one being a trip to Cannes, France to expand Club Prive. There's some issue with whether or nor Carrie can make the trip with Gavin. I won't spoil this for you - but let's just say I was totally nervous with where M.S. Parker was going with this particular story. I totally had dreams about where she was going to take it next too! There were so many emotions evoked while reading this particular volume of this series. When I got to the end...I was like NO WAY! I messaged M.S.'s assistant and said SERIOUSLY?!?!? I couldn't believe it. It's cray how things can be taken out of contest and how quick we are to judge someone/something/and actions. These particular actions are screaming -T.R.O.U.B.L.E.!!!
I can't wait to see how the next volume plays out. This is definitely a keep you on your seat/bed/toes kind of book. I typically don't give novella's a 5 star rating unless it's the last one in the series. Club Prive: French Connection definitely earned that 5 star plus!
I received a copy of this novella by the author for an honest review.
If you loved the first Club Prive series then, hold on to your hats because you are going to hyperventilate at this the first instalment of Club Prive: French Connection, it is amazing.
The author grabs your attention from the first paragraph and right until the end she hangs on to you nice and tight!
Gavin and Carrie are back from the first series but this time they are experiencing all the ups and downs that go with relationships.
The story gallops along at a fair pace, barely taking a pause for you to catch you breath but I like that because it kept my attention and made me keen to turn the pages.
Life has them down a rocky road, the nature of their professions mean that time together is scarce.
Carrie is passionate about her work with the victims of sex crimes and Gavin is up to his eyes with the club renovations, but when they are offered an unbelievable opportunity of a new start in France, they know that they would be fools to turn it down.
This is their chance to put themselves front and centre and to readdress the balance that they need in their relationship. It is just a shame that other forces seem to be at play and others appear to have plans to keep them apart.
France was a real turn up for the books, for me, it had my mind bouncing around and my imagination running wild.
I was surprised with the cliffhanger ending, not because the story had one, more that it came as no great surprise but I have to say that did not detract me, because I cannot wait to read the next instalment.
In the continuation of the Club Prive series, author M.S. Parker has continued on with her story involving Carrie and Gavin. Carrie is now a pro-bono lawyer struggling to fight to change sex trafficking laws, and save those who have been affected by sex trafficking. Gavin is also trying to turn Club Prive from an adult sex club into a regular dance club. The pair are living together and trying to make a go of their relationship, but something is off. When Gavin is offered a chance to go to Cannes and help start up a new Club Prive- adult style- there, he jumps at the chance, and brings Carrie with him, in the efforts to rekindle their slowly burning out flame. While I understood that both characters were busy with their jobs, I didn't quite understand why they felt that they had reached a rut in their relationship. As one of Carrie's friends said, they had passed the honeymoon phase. Now they need to work on their everyday interactions, and time management with each other. What I didn't like was the cliff-hanger ending. I know that this will be another new series in this universe, but the cliff-hanger was incredibly predictable that even a blind person would have seen it coming. I'm hoping that the second book in this new continuing series not only answers the question of WTF, but doesn't end with yet another cliffhanger before the third (if there is one) book comes out.
OMG, I thought I loved the first Club Prive books, but the French Connection Vol.1 is stellar. From the first page MS Parker grabs the reader and does not let the reader go. I for one will never look at the FedEx man the same again. The characters you love are back and the sexual tension is palpable. Gavin is as hot and sexy as he was in the first series. Carrie has spread her wings and thrived living with Gavin. This book is fast paced and sexy. The writing is tight and the plot moves quickly.
Carrie and Gavin have been living together for awhile, but both are so busy working, they seldom have time for each other. Carrie is working as a pro bono lawyer specializing in helping victims of sex crimes and human trafficking. Gavin is renovating the original Club Prive into a dance/night club, since his former partner was using it was a front for human trafficking. Somehow they have lost the spark between them. Both parties want desperately to reignite their passion, if only they could find the time to be together. A business opportunity abroad may be just the thing to rekindle their relationship. After a few obstacles work themselves out they head to the French Rivera. While the passion they feel is on the rise there are those who seem to want to come between the couple The turn of events in France is unexpected and the ending will leave the reader wondering where the hell the plot is going next. I cannot wait for the next installment.
Carrie and Gavin the story continues. After all of the drama and Sex in the first books I had no idea what to expect when starting this installment, let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!!
At first I felt as though I wanted to yell out loud this can’t be the same couple, how can you go from dominate Alpha male to worried and concerned lover who doesn’t want to push too far. I thought oh no they are falling into the relationship trap. Thank heavens this vacation came along for them just in time to turn up the heat… Once they were on the plane to France all bets were off. It was as though the old fire was released and we had Carrie and Gavin back.
I don’t think I like Vincent very much, I picture him as a dirty, sleazy individual that waves money around and girls fall to meet his needs. I am not sure exactly what is going to happen where he is concerned but I don’t see it being good.
This book is a great continuation for the series, with a new twist. I absolutely love to read serial books but then when I get to the end with a great cliffhanger, I am asking myself why??? I have to remind myself that serials are the best of both worlds. M.S. Parker knows how to create a great story that keeps the readers on their toes and wanting more. The end was totally unexpected and had me saying WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!!! I can’t wait to see what new drama; sex and fun await Carrie and Gavin in France….
HOLD ON JUST A MINUTE WTF CLIFFY !! I am loving all these serials by M.S. Parker , especially how they all have their own identity despite being intertwined and released in a short span of time. This author really knows how to write some great sex and drama !! I did not read the original Club Prive serials but I know I will now because I would love to learn more about Carrie and Gavin at the beginning of their relationship and the struggles the club faced.
Carrie and Gavin seem to be stuck in a work rut. Both devoting all their time to projects and not much time to each other. They are in love no doubt , they are electric and super hot when they have time. They are both feeling the distance and when an opportunity arises for them to travel to France Gavin prays it can be the thing they need to get back on track. Sadly Carrie's busy schedule almost prevents this trip from happening but in the end we get to travel to France with them and enjoy a bit of a vacation mixed with business for the new club. I am having a feeling that I may hate this new partner , he seems to be causing trouble with his 2 girl toys. The ending of this had me like WTF , not expecting that and not even having that on my radar. Gavin seems to be so in love with Carrie and vice versa , I NEED TO KNOW what the heck is going on NOW !!
I am going to start off by saying I don't know how I feel about this and I don't think I will fully have an opinion until I read the final installment in this series.
God! I wanted to shake the crap out of both of these characters. But Carrie and Gavin are still hot as ever between the sheets. Their chemistry is there and I am hoping by the end they find that spark and fire they seem to be missing.
I will admit that I don't know what to think at this point and I am kind of scared to see where this author takes Carrie and Gavin in this next installment.
In a relationship for a year, Carrie and Gavin feel their relationship is slipping into the “comfort” zone. Their high sexual relationship is slowly dwindling and everyone knows that communication is key, whether through sex or dialogue. Ambitious Carrie has put a potential job before her boyfriend and he has to be inventive to spend time with her. Gavin shocked me in the beginning of the book with his role playing. Makes me wish I read the previous Club Prive books, to see how clever the role playing can be. Gavin is changing a previous sex club to a dance club. And in this renovation a potential partner offers a French getaway for Gavin and a plus one. Instantly Gavin thinks of Carrie and how this can be an opportunity to combat the stagnant relationship. After a change in plans, Carrie joins Gavin in France. I was given a glimpse of their sweet relationship and could feel the love for one another. But I couldn’t quite put my finger on the character of Gavin. I felt like I could have used more backstory on him. And this leads me to the cliffhanger. It was crazy, I am super anxious to find out what exactly happened in that room! A short, sweet and suspenseful read (at the end). 4 smooches for Club Prive French Connection.
It was great to visit Carrie and Gavin again and see what they are up to one year into their relationship. Their relationship had started out hot and heavy and now like many couples they find themselves distracted by the everyday things that come up. Carrie is inundated with her pro bono work as a lawyer and Gavin is distracted with changing Club Prive from a sex club to a dance club. With all of their energy being poured into work they forget to focus on each other. When a new work opportunity comes up for Gavin that includes a trip to France he pounces on it thinking a trip to France would be the perfect getaway for he and Carrie to reconnect. Will this help them spice up their time together and help them focus back in on each other?
I enjoyed seeing them as an almost normal couple. Seeing them working too hard and having insecurities about their relationship based on what they had gone through in the past. Watching them start to work through their issues was intriguing. Only to be thrown for a loop at the end. Bring on Vol II!
I received a complimentary copy, in exchange for an honest review.
I'm thinking my head is going to explode awaiting the continuation of what has apparently hinted at in the last chapter.Even if it were some elaborate setup to cause discontent amongst the main characters than why would a devoted boyfriend leave his girlfriend alone in the middle of the night in a foreign to run off on some mysterious mission & not even answer his cell?
And whats up the escort rubbing herself against Gavin like a cat on the dance floor without any protest from him or his girlfriend.I would totally lose all respect for the heroine if she bursts into tears as is the norm in most new adult books and runs off without demanding an explanation.I require a knock out cat fight to kick-off the next installment.
And whether Gavin is innocent or not,he was sending out mixed signals to the escort at the club with the dirty dancing & ignoring his girlfriend the entire night and with the escort being an opportunist the outcome was inevitable and not once did he tell her or indicate no.
"Do you think I should do something about this little problem we have?"
Carrie and Gavin, like a lot of couples, hit the comfortable stage of their fairly new relationship. Work takes over, long hours at the office, you start to neglect each other. Gavin has an opportunity to expand his business over seas, at a very romantic place, the French Rivera!!!! He is excited to have the opportunity to take Carrie along and make it a Romantic Get Away / business trip. However, Carrie has a business commitment the same week that Gavin is scheduled to leave for the trip of a lifetime!!! As luck would have it, Carrie's meeting with the Congressman that is interested in legislation on human sex trade and trafficking has been shelved until after the election. Hurray!!! Carrie and Gavin are off to the French Rivera to rekindle their hot & sexy relationship, the pages heat up!!! Wasn't expecting the "surprise" at all!! Need Vol. II soon, please!!
given an arc for an honest review....by far the best read from m.s. parker i was blown away. .carrie and gavin head off to france for a vacation/business meeting with the hopes of rekindling their romance that has dwindle in the year the have been together...gavin finds the man who wants to open the new club prive in France to be a little off...and the girls he tries to push onto gavin leave a weird feeling with gavin....but the business opportunity is still worth it....after spending the day together preparing to attend a party together with some mind blowing scences in the shower they head off to a music event with one of the girls from the club as their "escort" and when gavin spends most of the nite with the escort carrie is not impressed and is even less impressed when gavin leaves suddenly....a must read cannot wait for the next installment......
I was gifted this book for an honest review. WOW!!! WARNING....Serious cliffhanger!!! The writing in this book was AMAZING!!! I'm ready for book 2 NOW!! HOT scenes, routine relationship that has lost its spark, and the fine line between business and pleasure will draw you into this story. Carrie and Gavin have been in a relationship for a while. They co-own Club Prive, a former sex club turned dance club. Gavin supports Carrie emotionally and financially in her pro bono law practice. When Gavin is approached with helping establish a similar club in France, he jumps on it knowing it will be great for business. While scoping out ideas for the club in France, Carrie and Gavin try to fuel the flames of their relationship. They both feel the distance building. Will this trip bring them closer? I can't wait to see what happens next!! Missy - reviewer for Mommy's Naughty Playground
This is a short read. The story has laughs, pain, suspense, and heartbreak.
Carrie and Gavin are still together but with both of them being so busy are they growing apart? There schedules are full and they barely see each other. When they do see each other they are usually passing on the way back to work. Gavin is about to go out of town and Carrie is going with him. Perfect time to work on the relationship they both want to work. What happens when your man ignores you to show another woman around? Is the relationship over? Does Gavin still love Carrie?
I loved both Carrie and Gavin. You can feel the love they both feel for each other. The steam is still there but is it enough? I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Club Privé: French Connection Vol. I (Club Privé: French Connection #1) by M.S. Parker **SERIES REVIEW - NO SPOILERS **What can I say? M.S. Parker doesn't disappoint yet again.I haven't read the Club Prive books prior to the French Connection series so I don't know Carrie and Gavin's complete back story, but that didn't matter I was still able to read and enjoy this series. (I do recommend reading the first series though, as I have since gone back and did)Vol 3 is the perfect end to the Carrie and Gavin's story. Going to France was supposed to make them closer but in fact it has the opposite effect. There is so much lying and deceit that no wonder a wedge is coming between them.It all comes to a head and you don't want miss out on the ending to their story.Another brilliant 5 star series!
