Horizontal Analysis

Rate this book
When Zachary is sent to London to audit a very high profile company, the last thing he expected was to meet the man of his dreams on the flight there.

Killian's life has been hell for the last few years, but meeting Zach is the breath of fresh air he needed, even if he is half his age. He didn't expect things between the two of them to escalate as fast as they do.

One night of passion isn't enough, but there is danger in pursuing more, especially when fate throws them a curveball they never expected, and with Killian's ex ready for the attack, they could lose everything, still, with the chemistry between them, staying apart isn't an option.

With an attraction like neither has experienced, they are willing to risk it all, fighting the world around them that wants to keep them apart. Challenged in ways the two couldn't imagine possible, they must figure out how to hold on to something they know they might never find again.

I struggled for DAYS to get through this book, which read like a checklist of what I don't like to read in M/M. This was most certainly NOT the book for me.

Where do I even begin?!? If your reading tastes are the same as mine, you will struggle greatly with this one.

1) Insta-love: Ah yes, my arch nemesis insta-love. Do you like your romance with proper buildup? Lots of sexual tension and then a gradual falling in love over a long period of time and many shared experiences? I certainly do. However, in this book the two men are in lust within seconds, have a "deep connection" within minutes, and are in love within days. They are utterly devoted to one another and are CRAZY reckless with their bodies/health without knowing each other for more than a week. It was annoying to read, and touched upon a few HUGE pet peeves of mine.

2) A plot that is utterly implausible: There is just simply no way that an auditing company would send a 21 year old (who graduated college and got work experience as a baby, apparently) to work on a huge account with a major corporation BY HIMSELF. That plot point just rang so completely false. To top it off, Killian, as the head of the corporation was also utterly ridiculous. Having sex at work all the time, having a relationship with co-workers (not in a company with investors, no way), and acting like a baby was just part of what Killian did that irritated me. To top it off, Killian and Zach barely hid their relationship, going clubbing and touching hands at work, while they were trying to pretend like there was nothing going on. Crazy.

3) A villain character: The character of Max was so one-sided, so cartoonish, that it was laughable. He was the ultimate "bad guy," to the point where I was hoping the secretary or something was the mastermind, just to spice things up. It was irritating how Max was such a two-dimensional character.

4) The editing: There is no way that this book was professionally edited.

Killian hissed slightly, that wouldn't do the laptop any good.

This book shows a basic lack of knowledge of comma usage, when to use a semicolon/colon, and who/whom-type errors. I'm not a grammar buff, but I know when a sentence is uncomfortable to read. This book needs an editor with a firm hand.

5) The sex: There was SO. MUCH. SEX. Literally over a dozen sex scenes, possibly more. And each sexual encounter was THE BEST EVER with the BEST ORGASM EVER. It was to the point where I started skimming when I saw a sex scene coming up. Not to mention the cheesy dialogue during the sex scenes.

I want you like a fire needs oxygen. You're burning me up, taking everything I've got and turning it into a raging inferno.

GROANS

This book has a lot of positive reviews, so don't just go by my opinion. However, I think I'm going to think long and hard before I try any other books from these authors in the near future.

*** I love these two authors ! *** This begins the two part, Sinful Temptation set, and starts with a super sexy kaboom !
Younger, 21, blonde, green-eyed Idaho guy,

stunning Zachary/Z, is headed to London for a new job, auditing a big company.
Killian/K, 40, is a dark and beautifully handsome CEO

on his way home to London. Killian notices Zachary at the airport. When the two meet on the flight to Gatwick, Killian is already attracted to "Z", and Zachary thinks Killian is way out of his reach. Both are surprised by the immediate emotions and needs, because it's overpowering and yet feels SO right. Many readers do not like "love-at-first-sight" books, but I do ! This is fun, entertaining, and so sexy.

Throughout, they burn up every surface they are near. When they reach London they decide to give themselves one night, before "Z" begins his job, and "K" must resume his position, and set his company to rights. Their incendiary, passionate night

is NOT ENOUGH for either man. They get to their jobs, where Z starts auditing the company, finding things are not correct. K finds a company crackdown on spending is in order. K's ex is Max, an evil creep who causes only mayhem, and we see his evil has no bounds toward the end. After a week, Z needs to talk to the CEO about the discrepancies in the audit, and they discover the "same company" connection. Surprise ! Then, the sex and emotions are re-ignited

and the two become everything to each other; more than just sexy times, it's MORE.
I loved this amazing set of characters, from family, friends, and employees, and especially the two men. Wow !

We get plot twists, a shocking event near the end, and the aftermath, plus a terrific ending. Do we get every answer we want? No. We still get to use our imagination, and of course, this is book one, so I'm looking forward to book two, Absolution.

I also look forward to seeing more from K and Z.
===========================
Some readers complained about bad editing, etc., but I found none of that. IMO, The language phrasing for Killian and his Mam and Da, was Irish Brogue, so it's different. I found it charming. I did not find mistakes in the writing. I just enjoyed the super sexy tale, and got wrapped up in their hearts. I guess I get caught up in the emotions, and that's awesome, I think.

I highly recommend this wonderful, sexy story !
ENJOY !
==============
I know the blurb says we can read book two as a stand alone, but I think the book one relationships are important for book two. Both books are free on Kindle Unlimited.

Wanted or not, liked it or not, I have to compare this one with Changing Plans by L.A. Witt.
11% and I'm like deja vu. Broken heart caused by shitty ex, and meeting someone while traveling, one night stand at the Hotel after a few hours.
While changing Plans really was good in giving us the vibes that they 'should be' together, this one is like, you know, rushing to it. And I'm already rolling my eyes a few times.

Zach and Killian met in a plane to London, it was like a stingy electricity between them, lust at first sight, definitely. Soon, very soon, there's shameful blow jobs and promises to get together soon they're arrived in London. So yeah, one night stand and one little misunderstanding after one night of blissful sex marathon and loads of "cum" everywhere.

And 'coincidence' in the next day, that Zach seemed to work as an auditor for Killian's company.
With a shitty ex and some jealousy and more and more office sex, and ...*cough* , "cum" everywhere, well, I felt tired of too much sex in the book, it's almost 80% of the story, Killian and Zach sexing.
They're both definitely have a stamina of a Troyan horse.
Or, maybe just because Zach is only 21, and Killian is in his 40, which both are 'perfect' ages for sexing all the time. Grins.

Or I'm too old for sex, and cum in command, and sticky ass all the time.

I'd thought of DNF-ed this one, but the story is quite good, so I went on with the story in focus. I've made it. YAY!

I just wish this one is shorter, with enough ht sex and less and less flower-ish words in tow, maybe, my rating would be better.

A few chapters near the ending is good to be fair. And the ending is a little bit too good to be true, I guess.
So, yeah, it's not a bad book, it's just not match my mood at the time.
Blame on me.

Holy hot sex! Wow, there is a lot of sex in this book. I mean A LOT!! It's like they can't be anywhere near each other without someone reaching for the other's bits. Most of the story was a lot on the mushy side and I hate the endearment "darling" which was used a whole lot. Who says that? Anyways, it was an entertaining read and there really was a bit of a story line in between all the smexing. I'd probably have given it 3 stars but upped it due to the deliciousness of many of those scenes. I need a fan!

Independent review for Pararnormal Romance and Authors That Rock. I was given this copy in exchange for my review.

I have to be fair, and say I read book two BEFORE writing this review, and I enjoyed that one much more than this. So it has made me drop a little in the star rating, BUT only a little!

Zach is sent to London to audit a client. Killian is on the same flight. I'm not kidding you, the attraction between these two is hot, heavy and INSTANT!!! On the plane, people, on the bloody plane, they are getting down and dirty! Sometimes, I'm not a great fan of instalove but here?? Here, its just so perfect. While they continue on after the flight, and into the new week, totally oblivious to the sh*t storm heading their way, its still instant.

Its immediately obvious, to me anyway, that Zach will end up as the auditor Killian and his staff talk about, and also when Zach finds out about missing money, who was stealing it. I liked that I got it, its nice to be right sometimes and not totally surprised. What I WAS surprised about was how Max went about getting to Killian, and I'm not saying how he did.

I LOVED Mammy! She made me howl, at times but the love she has for her son, Killian, and for Zach when they meet is a powerful thing. Regardless of how Killian left Ireland, regardless that he never officially came out to them. Mammy and Da love their son, unconditionally, how they should. She sees a lot, does Mammy, and she can see right through to both Killian's and Zach's soul and heart.

There is steam, way loads of steam, but equally, passion, and heart break. Love and hate. Lots of different emotions, altogether in 346 pages, although, when reading, it doesn't seem that long.

As I said, I read book 2 immediately after this, and much preferred that one, thats not to say I did not like this, because I did, greatly. But book two has a edge that isn't here, and thats why, after reading book 2, I downgraded this from the original 5 stars, to 4.5 stars. I'm sorry if you don't agree with me, but I am being fair and honest and thats what read-for-reviewing is all about.

Thank you for introducing these people to my life. I hope I get many more of their tales.

4.5 stars

First off I'm going to start by saying I absolutely loved this book from page one.
If you love to read Love At First Sight books than this is one of the best ones out there these two Authors nailed it perfectly.
During his flight back home Killian ( hot sexy Irish ) CEO notices this young very obviously nervous and inexperienced guy who has his attention from the Get Go.
While on the plane Killian can't hrlp the attraction he has for this certain young very sexy boy so he goes over to him and Well let's just say " introduces himself and gets quite acquainted ".
Zachary (the young hot american) has been given an assignment to go to London to audit a very large company.
What Zachary didn't expect was to meet this perfect gorgeous stranger on his flight to London ( yes you guessed it ) Killian the stud who helped ease his nervous jitters of flying overseas.
Unbeknownst as to who each other are they end up staying in a hotel together that night , the attraction between the both of them will absolutely have you needing a very "ice " cold shower.
A misunderstanding leads them to be seperated in the morning and both men cannot get the thoughts of each other out of their heads.
Zach reports to work the next morning to start the job he was sent to do, but in the process finds discrepancies while doing the audit and makes an appointment to go over this with the CEO.
I'm not going into any detail from here on but let's just say when Zach walks into the office of the CEO he is very much shocked . This story picks Uo and we are introduced to new characters now and there are so many twists and turns that had me at the edge of my seat.
An ex boyfriend is damned set in destroying everything between Killian and Zach, will he succeed? Or will a turn of events and an attraction so strong be able to save what Killian and Zach.
I also have to mention we get to meet a very feisty Red Head who happens to be Killian's mammy, she will have you laughing and loving her to the point that you wish she was your own Mam.
I have to say I stayed up until 5 am until I finished this book because I just could not put it down there are so many emotions you Will go through while reading this book, from needing a cold shower, to wanting to just smack somone to Omg please No but in the end you will be totally in love. If I couid give this book more than 5 stars I definitely would.
Oh you will most definitely not look at
American Apple Pie the same after reading this either. " inserts big grin"
So go on and one click this amazing story now!!!!

3 Stars.

Horizontal Analysis starts out in the first-class lounge of an airport. The older man sees the younger man, and it's instant attraction. I enjoyed the start of the book- found it light and sweet, and a lot naughty. But when it progressed to insta-lust/love/attraction/chemistry without any buildup, I lost interest. I'm a reader who needs to know the characters first- wine and dine me before you take me to bed. The beginning of the book, first 4 chapters or so, is entirely made up of sex. I couldn't buy the connection between the characters because they knew nothing of each other, and I (the reader who was inside their heads via the narration) knew nothing of them either. So I felt an obvious disconnect.

Was the sex hot? Hell, YES!.

I'm not a prude. I love the down and dirty as much as the next reader, but it was too fast, too soon for my liking. So I'm going to say the story was fun, sexy, & far removed from realistic. But it was just not to my tastes. I'm going to leave it at that.

I was offered the next book in the series from my review group, and I'm going to give that a try.

recommended: Romance readers who love the naughty side of a book, and they are impatient and want instant gratification.

3.5* review

I enjoyed this read, and the underlying premise behind the story, although I did have a few issues. Crazily the biggest issue for me was probably totally silly in anyone else's eyes, but as an accountant, I felt that the repeated mention that Zach struggled with the foreign currency was a bit ridiculous. We are talking pounds sterling, which are divided into one hundred pennies ... not some weird hexadecimal currency! And even the dollar to pound exchange rate varies between $1.5 - $2 : £1. Millions of tourists manage this each year, but not a highly intelligent man? sorry, but that annoyed me, a lot! It was also somewhat crazy to send a 21 year old half way around the world to do an audit ... but hey, I could choose to suspend belief to an extent ....

The story itself, is quite clever, and although the depth of their feelings was somewhat hasty, I could accept that as neither of them were of that nature, it really must have really bowled them over. I was with Zach though questioning Kilian's previously terrible choice!

Overall I enjoyed the series and would read more by this team of authors who's works I have admired and read avidly in the past.

This book grabbed my attention from the very beginning and it never stopped, I didn’t want the book to end. Dream job + dream man = dream come true right? This was a great story, it had passion, instant love, drama, angry ex and hot sex. I loved Killian from the beginning, I felt his pain from the start and his lust and want for Zach from the moment he set eyes on him. Zach was sweet and innocent and you couldn’t help but love him. This is a must read story, there were some twists that I saw coming but ended different that I thought and of course I was in shock and shed some tears. I truly enjoyed this book and will re-read it again. Thankfully I have the second book in the series ready and waiting and I can’t wait to dive in and hopefully catch up with Killian and Zach.
Characters: well written
Sex: yes
Religious: no
Would I recommend to others: yes
More than one book in the series: yes
Genre: M/M/Romance
Would I read more by this author: yes

3.5 STARS

Here is what I knew going in: Insta-love and lots of sex.

I am not a fan of insta-love but Horizontal Analysis jumps in right from page one. If you can over look that, it really isn't a bad read. The sex scenes (which there were plenty) was extremely HOT. Each orgasm was better than the last, a man in his forties going more than three times in night without much of a break, (I call bullshit) and there is some cheesy dirty talk but together as a whole it works. This is FICTION and anything can happen. Sometimes I have to remember that when reading.

Is someone worth taking a risk for? Giving up everything you know for just a tiny shot at happiness. That's what Killian and Zach are unknowingly searching for.

I was entertained enough to finish in a few hours. The sex scenes kept me going, the suspense at the end was a nice little surprise. Not bad for my first read from this pair of authors.

Outrageous, But It Works

SPOILER ALERT: The publisher states that even though this is the first in the series, you can read the second as a stand-alone. DO NOT DO THAT! This is a super paced, extremely erotic, sometimes marginally believable, but in the end brilliant tale of instant erotic attraction that morphs into uncontrollable lust, and then love.

You will find the first chapter unbelievable, but it could happen. You will find that the author's description of Killian and Zach are perfectly portrayed on the cover, Killian the dark 40-year-old, Zach the blond 21-year-old. You will meet one seriously deranged character (no spoiler here) and one exceptionally whacky and totally clairvoyant mother who is crucial to this book and its sequel.

You will have to hang on tight here--it's outrageous, but it works. I am totally out of breath.

Must read!!!

Loved this book!! The characters and the story were wonderful. I just love Zach and Killian. Story was hot and engaging. I hope there is more to come in this series. Several hints towards the end that point to more installments with other characters. I'll definitely read more from these authors and especially about this universe!

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey’s books)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

Interesting

This book had been on my TBR for forever. This one is an odd one.

This book was a solid 4 stars until close to the end. The Max thing was just way too Melrose Place for me. Max totally turned into a bad soap opera villain.

The instant love I could deal with too BUT Killian and Zach were completely blind to their surroundings. There was an obscene amount of sex too which is fine but the main story seemed to take a back seat as a result.
Not sure if I’ll bother with book 2.

Insta-love is not my favourite trope, so when Zach and Killian fall instantly in lust on the plane on the way to London, I was 'hmming' quite a lot. Zach, although not a virgin, seems quite inexperienced and shy so I was rather taken aback that he agrees to mess around with Killian, a man he knows nothing about, on the plane itself. I can't deny the scene was hot, for it was, but it just didn't fit with how I'd imagine Zach reacting.

They spend the night together in Zach's hotel at Gatwick airport - another niggle, although Gatwick is called London Gatwick, it is not actually in London - it's about 35 miles away in another county, West Sussex. So, Zach and Killian have more sex that night, and more, and more. I think they did five times - in one night? Then there is a misunderstanding with a note going missing and each of them thinking the other was only after a one-night stand.

The readers have guessed by now that the company Zach is going to audit is Killian's, so we know our two heroes meet again. Which they do, and have more sex. They just couldn't keep their hands off each other. And even when they weren't physically together, they had phone and Skype sex too. Towards the end of the book, I was getting sex scene fatigue and wanted to read something other than sex, and the last twenty percent of the book answered my prayers.

I loved Zach and Killian, both interesting characters in their own right and that's what made me read on, despite the sex scene fatigue. I wanted to know what happened to them and if it would all work out. And I admit I have a soft spot for May-December romances. Zach is in his twenties, Killian is in his forties and their families were both worried that they were rushing into things. It may have seemed they were rushing into things, but these two characters connected and once you've found the one, why wait? I met my future husband when I was nineteen and we got married when I was twenty, so the family worries were not news to me. We're still married almost twenty five years later, and I hope Killian and Zach will make it for the long haul too.

Max, Killian's ex, is definitely a character you'll love to hate. I bristled every time he appeared and worried what he was going to do, for he wanted Killian back and would let nothing stand in his way. And I do mean nothing. He wasn't portrayed as crazy, so when he finally does what he does, I hadn't seen it coming at all.

There is a bit of plot interspersed with the sex scenes, but there wasn't enough of it. I would have preferred a better balance between the plot and the love scenes.

It definitely is an erotic romance, with heavy emphasis on the erotic. Mind you, despite there being a lot of love scenes, they are all different and well-written.

If you are looking for a sexy story, this could be the one for you.

I received a copy of this book at no charge from the author in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Horizontal Analysis begins as Killian and Zach are boarding a plane to England. Newly graduated and tackling an international accounting assignment, Zach is a nervous flyer and is stressed out about his upcoming project. Killian is older (by about 2 decades) and wiser and is definitely thinking more about how sexy Zach is and not the upcoming airplane ride. They discover each other across the isle and become very familiar with each other over the course of the trip over the pond. When they realize that Zach is actually auditing Killian’s company, things get a little complicated. Jealous exes and suspicions of embezzling cause complications in their relationship. They have a lot to overcome before their happily ever after.

Horizontal analysis had a few key ‘dislikes’ for me, however I think the author shows real promise in terms of writing quality. I am not a fan of ‘love at first site’ and the beginning of this book is nothing but the two of them staring at each other drooling. There needed to be something MORE at the beginning of the story besides their attraction to each other for me to really become interested in Zach and Killian as actual characters. Lust at first site is good…but make it part of a greater drama of some sort rather than discuss over and over how much they wanted each other. Also, this book moved from lust to love to moving in with each other over the course of only a few weeks. Very unrealistic.

I don’t think I come across a book very often where I can honestly say that there is just too much sex. Yes, the sex is hot but they are probably naked every few pages and it just got to the point where I was skimming the sex scenes. Less is more when it comes to heat…more buildup and less actual sex would have made for a better reading experience.

Overall, I liked the story behind Horizontal Analysis. International businessmen finding true love amongst jealous exes and embezzling schemes. It shows a lot of promise and the author’s writing style shows real promise. I would have made Zach slightly older and less wishy washy to really fit in with who his character was written to be. Killian seemed like a nice guy who really cared for Zach but he, too, didn’t really fit quite right with the CEO of a major company. Not quite professional and take charge enough, I don’t think, but I liked his character.

There are some unique secondary characters in this book and an enjoyable storyline, I would just recommend that there be more focus on the drama/relationship and less on the sex.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

For any readers out there who like their men sexy, intelligent and fun this is one for you. There is a major bout of insta-love in this story. For two men who don’t know each other they go from zero to sixty and end up joining the mile high club before you can blink!

Killian is flying home from the States when he spots the hot and much younger Zachary. Zach has never liked flying and when Killian offers him some comfort to get through a particularly bumpy bout of turbulence….it naturally leads to blowjobs! This happens very quickly, is probably very wrong but ironically is totally out of character for both of them.

Killian hasn’t been interested in dating since his last relationship ended badly. His lover of four years had cheated on him and Killian is definitely only interested in one man at a time. Zach put partying and dating on the back burner all through College, he has a career plan and is intent on sticking to it. His hard work has paid off; he now has the job of his dreams and is working way above his pay grade.

There is humour in the tale as we find out where Zach has been sent to work for the week but neither man will know until after they have spent the night together once they have landed in the UK. There is then the morning after misunderstanding leaving both men confused and hurt.

The first half of this book is sex, lots and lots of sex and dare I say it – there was actually too much sex for even me!! I know, I can hear some of you gasping already but honestly, this pair had the stamina of gods! They both tend to get side tracked with their own internal musings quite a lot too. The second half was better for me with more story and less sex.

There is a villain in the book and he takes on the form of Max, Killian’s ex, who still happens to work for him. He becomes a little more than jealous; in fact I think we could go as far as using the word psychopath! More often than not strong willed women don’t work for me when reading MM but I loved Killian’s mum. What a fantastic character she turned out to be – she totally steals the show!

This is a fun read with two great MC’s, a lunatic ex and as I mentioned earlier a lot of sex. It happens over a very short period of time but is explosive and life changing for most of the people of involved and leaves you with a happy ending.

I am becoming an E.M. Leya fan but have never read any books by Nicole. I could definitely tell a difference in the writing in this book when compared to the other E.M. books I’ve read however, the writing is still good. I did feel that some important parts of the story were a bit glossed over but other times I felt the story was a bit long.
If you are not a fan of the insta-attraction, this is not the book for you. These 2 meet in an airplane and pretty much from the word go they are attracted to each other (and sexually). In the little bit of time they spend together on the plane – the flight is long but most of it is spent sleeping – they feel a connection…there is something they must pursue.

Zach is young and doesn’t have a lot of experience with men. He has been a pretty serious person through high school and college and didn’t make time for personal relationships. He is instantly taken by Killian’s sex appeal and charisma. Zach lacks self-confidence and has a hard time believing someone as established as Killian would take an interest in him.

Killian feels ‘pulled’ to Zach from the moment he sees him. He feels an instant connection he didn’t feel with his ex whom he spent 4 years with and just broke up with. This connection is too intriguing to pass up.
Almost immediately, they meet a pretty major stumbling block but decide to power through it and pursue a long term relationship. In addition to this stumbling block, they live in different countries so they decide to make the most of the time Zach is in London deciding if they can take the relationship further once he goes back to the US.

There is quite a bit of angst throughout the book but their love seems to be strong. They encounter their last major issue with only about 20 pages left in the book and it’s a doozy.

Overall the book kept me pretty interested from the get-go and there is a lot of emotion in it. I’m interested to see who book 2 is about…whether it’s existing characters or new characters we’ve yet to meet.

Horizontal Analysis by authors E.M. Leya and Nicole Colville is a fast paced heat filled book. I liked how the authors made me really love and adore Killian. First off he is Irish that had me at hello, but he is kind, sweet, and a little bit naughty. I loved that combination. At work he is all stoic, workaholic, but give a cute guy on a plane and all that goes out the window. Killian joins the mile high club in style.
Zach is young, but he is dedicated to his job. He cannot be bribed or does he do substandard work. He is an auditor wanting to make a name for himself. He has no idea who Killian really is when he allows him to help with Zach’s fear of flying. But the connection is so strong they both cannot fight it. Though I am sure all the people in first class got a new definition of sex ed by those two. Zach is a responsible stand up kinda guy. Even shy and blushes which was adorably cute.
Over all I really loved this story both men are more than deserving of love, they are both ready for it. They are not going to let a little thing like living across the ocean from each other get in the way either. When you want a story that makes you believe in true love this is the book to pick up.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

This was a wonderful love-at-first-sight book. Two souls crossing paths in an airport, making that connection that neither wants to break. When the connection is broken, they both seek to find the other even if it is just for another night. Despite their age differences, there is some major chemistry going on between these two and the sex scenes will have you looking for a fan.

The characters in this book are well developed. Like all good fairy tales, this one comes complete with a villain, Killian’s ex-boyfriend, Max, who cheated on him and crushed his dreams of marriage and a family. Max wants Killian back. Though Killian isn’t interested, he and Max remain entwined as they are co-workers and still own an apartment together. And, like all good fairy tales, there is the fairy godmother who manages to save the day…or in this case Killian’s mom who steals the show.

Forty year old Killian and twenty one year old Zach have found love when neither one was looking or expecting. Killian heads up this multi million pound company in London and Zach has been sent over to do an independent audit of its finical books. First they meet on the same transatlantic plane, can’t keep their hands off each other, head to a hotel to finish what they started. Misunderstanding sends them in opposite’s directions only to meet again. The chemistry between these two is hot and they make out like bunnies throughout the whole book. And once they figure out that have to work together to save Killian’s company and the ex is behind everything, it’s on. It’s a good storyline, and the extra plot twist at the end is a nice touch but a little less sex would go a long way. We get it; Killian and Zach have great chemistry and can’t keep their hands off each other. Even when there is an ocean between them, and parents just down the hall, more story less steam.

Four stars!
This book is such a good read. Max is a first rate douche-canoe that you can’t help continue to wonder if the depths of his douche-canoeing were ever going to end. He made for a great bad guy where you loved to hate him. There were a handful of times where I truly thought Killian and Zach made dumb choices. But they were minor for the overall story. The love between Zach and Killian was quick but deep. You could feel their emotions coming through the pages. I loved Killian’s reactions to his mam. They’re hysterical! But you can’t help but love Eve, she’s a total spitfire. I was kept on the edge of my seat at times. The ending is perfect and I can’t wait to see these two again in the next book in the series.

This story can't be taken seriously

If you can overlook the ridiculous characterizations and excessive sex, it's almost a book. The characterizations were absurd. A 21 year old CPA? Possible. Solo overseas audit? Not likely! BJ's in a first-class sleeper seat without being arrested? Happened in this story. At least you knew right away there was no reality happening. Essentially PWP. The story actually improves slightly around 70% when they were on different continents and we meet families. Terrible editing, missing punctuation, missing/incorrect words, run on sentences. Not the worst book I've ever read, but barely.

From the get go, I loved both Zach and Killian. I'd think I'd like one more, but then the other would do something and he would win me over till I just decided they had both won my heart. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and ran through the rampet of emotions. I would recommend this book to everyone. If you love romance. If you love hot MM. If you love excellent writing. Then this is a must read to you!!
