Everybody's After Love
Jules Rossi’s world is about to be turned upside down when her big brother, Paulie, announces his engagement. Having been raised by her brother after their parents died, she’s used to him being her knight in shining armor and isn’t ready to share him with anyone else.
Throughout all the wedding festivities, Jules’ path continues to cross with Paulie’s future brother-in-law, Bentley Ladner. I haven’t dated in almost a decade and the last time I was intimate with a woman was two years ago.
I’ve never been this forward with a woman before, but then again my ex and I had been together since high school.
Adam sits across from me smirking. “Guess you’re glad you didn’t bring Emmy?” My lips turn up and I laugh. “For sure.”
Smitty called me at the last minute to see if I wanted to hang out with him after work. He hates to sit at home on a Friday evening, especially since he dropped his girlfriend of two years.
Guilt burns my stomach but this feels right, her in my arms and not a care in the world. Besides, she just wants to be friends… for now.
Somehow “just friends” morphed into Bentley and I spending every free moment we have together.
“All the family is excited to see Bentley’s new girlfriend. You have big shoes to fill,” she comments and I narrow my eyebrows in question. Mrs. Ladner squeezes my shoulders.
“I’m sure Bentley will tell you about his past in due time. The family adored her and everyone was shocked when they broke up. But don’t worry dear, I’m sure they’ll all get to know and love you, too. You make my Bentley happy and that’s what’s most important.”
“Can you believe she’s his rebound girl? I thought Bentley had better taste, but then again look at Bri’s. Bad judgement must run in the family,” Nikki quips as she walks into the room with the other bridesmaids.
“He’s married, Jules…with a kid,” Paulie says, squeezing my hand apologetically.

Everybody's After Love by Lyssa Layne is a 2014 publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lyssa Layne has written a sweet and poignant novel that touches the heart and reminds us that sometimes loves finds us on it's own timetable and when we least expect it.
Julianna ( Jules) and her brother Paulie are exceptionally close due to the death of their parents and having only each other growing up. But, now Paulie is about to move forward with his life by getting married. Jules is not exactly thrilled with her brother's choice of a bride. When she meets the bride's brother though things get a little interesting, since he is not at all like any guy she has ever spent time with.
Bentley arrives to meets his future brother-in-law and his sister, Julianna. He has the idea Julianna may be giving his sister a hard time and he wants to see if he can soothe things over. He never thought in a million years that his life was about to be upended by Julianna and his unexpected feelings for her.
Jules character was damaged by tragedy and guilt and she never allowed a guy to get all that close to her. She never took her romantic relationships all that seriously, really. She was also suffering from a lack of confidence and must deal with a few phobias- mainly a fear of heights.
This story deals with a very realistic situation and while there is angst and misunderstandings, I could see how all of this could play out in real life. Often times we jump to conclusions about a situation, or judge people without all the facts, and in this case there were several times when a person had to find out the hard way that things are not always what they appear on the surface. I enjoyed the slow realization by Jules that she has been purposefully picking out losers to get involved with and it was time to stop and find a guy with depth, who took his feelings seriously and would offer her both respect and love.
Bentley is a nice guy through and through and I think everyone who reads this book will love him. Did he always do the right thing? No, but who does? Is he perfect for Jules? Absolutely!! Through Bentley, Jules begins to grow as a person, try new things, and face her fears, and embrace a real adult relationship, and moves out from behind her over dependence on her brother.
This is a pretty light romance with nothing too heavy or draining. I like a story like this one in which the characters grow and develop in real time. Things progressed at a natural pace and this method of writing created a feeling of being a part of the story as it unfolded and was quite absorbing as a result.
Overall I enjoyed the story and loved how things turned out in the end with everyone getting a much deserved happy ever after. 4.5 stars rounded to 5

If you want a quick, sweet, funny, heart felt book, than you need to read this book! I loved this story.
The leading female character, Jules has been dependent on her brother since she was a young teen, but with his news she feels she is losing him too. Jules has never had a serious relationship with anyone. She likes it that way, she can't get hurt by giving someone her heart. But when she meets Bentley, that may all change.
Bentley is a man who has had to work very hard. He now owns the family business and has other priorities eating in him. When he meets Julianna (Jules) she is like a breath of fresh air he didn't know he needed. She makes him feel again. He can't wait to spend time with her and wants to get to know her. But will his secret ruin what they both so desperately need and want.
This book was like a breath of fresh air to me. I have been in a book funk and this may have just brought me out of that.
The book has just enough of what I was looking for. It was light and easy. There were some parts that had me shedding a few tears but that is what made this book worth the read. This is a book about love in all kinds. The love that Jules and her brother have for each other was so touching. They have a bond that I know most wish to have with a sibling.
There were a few parts that I wish the author would have dove deeper into here and there. The detail was good but could have been just a little bit more for my liking. But all in all this was a good book and I would recommend this to other and I can't wait to read more from this author!

Wow!! Lyssa Layne has definitely become one of my favorite authors after loving each of the books I have read by her!!
Everybody's After Love is a story that revolves around Julianna Rossi (Jules) who was raised by her brother J.P. (Paulie) after their parents died when she was 12. When her brother gets engaged to Brianna (Bri) she knows that she will no longer be able to rely on her brother the way she always has.
Initially Jules is not a fan of "Barbie" Bri as she knows she is losing her brother but will time warm her heart when she knows her brother's happiness is on the line. Her brother has always put her first and now she knows she must return the favor to him.
Jules is known to always date loser guys but when Bri's brother Bentley shows up, maybe her life is about to change. The issue is that Bentley has secrets he is hiding from Jules and Paulie. When Paulie tells Jules to move forward with her relationship with Bentley she believes she has finally found true happiness! Then the secrets come out and Jules is shattered. Will Jules trust her heart again to Bentley or is it too late.
This book focuses a lot on forgiveness for yourself and for others. It touches on so many issues of guilt, trust and love!
I absolutely love Lyssa Layne's writing and I can't wait for her next book!

Lyssa Layne made me laugh, cry and believe in true love again. For a Big brother to take care of his little sister and then be scared that she would never love anybody or have somebody to take care of her. This story shows three different kinds of loves. You have the Brother/Siter love, the love between a man and a woman, and then the love that after getting to know somebody can lead to a great friendship like sister love. Paulie raised Julie after their parents died, but he has fallen in love and propsed to Bri who at the beginning Julie hates. Bri has a brother Bentley who Julie falls in love for. She starts to hang out with Bri more as her maid of Honor and begins to love her like a sister. Both Big brother will do anything to be there for their little sisters as well.Watch as these four plus the others on the side who care for them grow into a loving family who know matter what will be there for each other. Bentley does have a secret that needs to be told and he probably should have told Julie ahead of time but they learn from it. I honestly loved this story. It held me captive and Never was a dull part in the story that i wish wasnt part of this story. Everypart of the story has a purpose.

This was such a beautiful story! I enjoyed reading every minute of it, the story flowed perfectly the characters were awesome and I didn't want it to end! There was always something happening to keep me entertained!
We meet Julianna Rossi who has been brought up by her older brother Paulie, since they lost their parents when she was only a teen. Jules depends on Paulie for everything, as soon as she needs help she speed dials her brother! The love the siblings have for each other is moving, their all either one has ever had for such a long time. Jules has only ever had flings and been in un-meaningful relationships she's never needed anyone but her brother. But now Paulie breaks the news that he's getting married to Brianna, a squeaky voiced hyper Barbie type that Jules hates.
Now Jules has to learn to live with Bri for her brothers sake, and learn to stop being totally dependent on Paulie. This is where we meet Brianna's older brother Bentley a hunky Landscaper! Maybe he's just what Jules needs in her life!
There's Immediate chemistry between Jules and Bentley they are absolutely perfect for one another. All is not as it seems because Bentley is keeping a secret that could destroy their new relationship forever!
This book brought a number of emotions out of me, Lyssa Layne defiantly takes us on an emotional ride. I cried on more than one occasion and laughed a lot! Loved it! Five stars just doesn't seem enough! I will definitely be reading more of Lyssa's work!

This was a great book about starting over and believing that you deserve more than what you give yourself credit for. Julianna believed that love was not for her because of a tragic lost that she suffered and than her one remaining family member drops a bomb on her and her world id thrown upside down and she doesn't know what to do about it. She has always been a fighter and that is what she does at every turn until Bentley comes into her life and she slowly starts to realize that maybe love is meant for her. Bentley suffered the most tragic thing that he thought could ever happen to him and in Jules he sees a new beginning. I loved the way that Jules and Bentley were with each other and no matter how hard Jules tried to fight her feeling for Bentley he never let her. This book had the right amount of love and it wasn't over the top it was exactly what it should have been a great love story that left you feeling happy.

What a cute and adorable story. Jules and Bentley are trapped together as members of a wedding party between his sister and her brother. As the cute couple would have it, his sister is to be the maid of honor and her brother is the best man.
Only Jules and Bentley don't know each other, and are unsure if they're attracted or being nice. And Jules has a persistent ex boyfriend. But as part of the being nice to her brother's fiancee project, Jules agrees to get to know Bentley. She finds out he's fun and a very nice guy to boot.
Too bad he has a secret. Too bad for Jules everyone covered up for him, including her brother's fiancee. Too bad Jules has to find out at the wedding.
What follows is poignant and sweet as you wish they can solve their problems and get back on track. Warning: there's a ultra cute flower girl who threatens to steal the entire show. But at the end, everything's okay and everybody's after love. So sweet.

This a part of the Spring Into Love Box Set

Sweet,Sunshine! "Everybody's After Love" gave me the same feeling as basking in the sun....contented, blissful, and satisfied!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end, and from beginning to end, again. Yes, I confess, I read it twice!
The author's writing is intelligent, the plot, both interesting, and well-constructed, the romance, sweet without being syrupy. The characters are well-developed, and downright lovable. They actually make another appearance in Lyssa Layne's newest release, "My Favorite What If."
Favorite Quote ~( Bentley ) "From the depths of my soul to the tip of my fingers, Julianna, I will never be able to love you enough."
Make sure to add, "Everybody's After Love" to your MUST read pile. I give this book a big ole' smiley face stamp of approval.

Everybody's After Love is a cute, quick read. The story is sweet, Jules is a fun lead and Bentley a sweet and charming hero. I loved the way they met and the way their relationship progressed. The relationship between Jules and her brother was also enjoyable and I especially liked the relationship between Jules and her future sister-in-law and the way it changed and developed. The writing was a bit bland for my taste, just jumping from scene to scene too quickly with not a lot of emotion behind it but that helped make it an easy read. There were a few random aspects thrown in that felt somewhat unnecessary to the plot, but they didn't hold up the story any. For a nice Sunday afternoon read, this book was perfect.

Everybody’s After Love is a heartwarming, romantic love story. It had me crying during some parts without even realizing. The way Bentley cherished Julianna by the use of her name, the gentle caresses and taking his time with her. Really enjoyed their approach to taking each step of their relationship to each level.
I will definitely be picking up and reading more from Lyssa Layne in the next few weeks. Especially the follow up to this story…My Favorite What If.

Jules doesn't believe in love, settling down and having a life long partner. She is in the now moment. That is until she meets Bentley. Before she even realizes what is happening, she slowly morphs into the soulmate status of life. Unfortunately, when secrets are shared and revealed, things fall apart for both Jules and Bentley.
The instant attraction between Jules and Bentley is undeniably realistic. The issues that all couple deal with are present in this story. I lost myself in this book, and from time to time, resurfaced in a daze. When a character makes you forget about reality, you know you've found an incredible gem.

Jules is going to have to start learning how to take care of things for herself. Her brother just told her that he is getting married. He has raised her since their parents passed and she had always depended on him. While doing all the wedding preparations she meet and is put together with the best man which happens not to be any of the guys her brother has been friends with forever but the brother of the bride and he treats his sister just the way Jules brother does her, very protective. But things start to get a little heated between the two and he hasn't had a chance to tell her that he had been marred before and has a child. It could get things really heated.

This is such a sweet romantic story about falling in love and realizing it doesn't always come from whom you think it should be. Jules and Bentley met and because their siblings are getting married. After spending time together they both feel like this mighf be more. But when Jules finds out a secret Bentley has been keeping, he may just lose her forever. I absolutely love this book. I recommend this book especially if your looking for a sweet, quick read.

Ahhh I loved this book!
This is such a beautiful, heartwarming story. The characters are well rounded and I love how Lyssa portrays their strengths and weaknesses. The switching POV's work seamlessly with little overlapping giving the story a great flow. I have to say I love Jules.....God I want her to be my new bff lol.....An all round great read that will warm your heart. Excellent Lyssa......just excellent!!

I can't express how amazing this book is and what an amazing author lyssa is... I have fallen in love with Bentley and Jules and the entire crew... I can't wait for smitty's book however I honestly hope for more Bentley and Jules and what there future holds...I highly recommend this book to everyone it's just the right amount of everything

This is a sweet story with two interesting characters and some great side characters as well. Jules is funny with how she reacts to situations. Bentley is just the guy who knows how to make the best out of everything he does. There's also a good blindside to keep things interesting. Overall, it's a great, quick read that will leave you feeling giddy and happy.

This book was amazing. Jules is not happy about her brother getting married because he's raised her since their parents died. When his soon to be brother in law takes on helping Jules ... Neither of them are sure about Bentley. Will Jules give into love or will she shy away.

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!
This book was a great read! It had me laughing, crying, swooning, and everything in between. It was the perfect book for me to read at this moment. This is my first Lyssa Lane book and most defintely will not be my last.

Loved this author. I loved this story. It was a cute love affair for two couples. Loved Bently and the way he acted with Jules. They had their ups and downs but he always tried to get her back. Also loved Paulie and Bri. They were also awesome. The four of them just worked out right.

OMG - my favorite Lyssa Layne book yet!! Sweet, funny with just the right amount of steam made this totally adorable love story between Jules and Bentley a most enjoyable read :-)

I took this book without even knowing what it was about…yeah that is how I roll some days!! LOL I just saw that the author needed some reviews plus I had the time…sooooo….I sat down to read it.
I gotta say, The angst of this book……..OMG SOOO GOOD!! I mean Bentley (Love the name tbh) and Julianna are super hot…combustable hot. When Jules learns that her older brother/adoptive brother is getting married she is less than thrilled. She HATES this future Mrs. Rossi with a passion. The beginning of the story Jules is pretty self-centered in that she doesn’t realize how needy she is with her brother but given their history it’s an understandable need. She is trying, unsuccessfully, to be nice to the Barbie fiancée when she meets her brother….Bentley AKA Bent or much cuter Benny. The two have an instant chemistry.
Initially Bentley just wants to meet this woman who is causing his sister so much distress. He is curious about what makes her tick. When they end up spending time together, he can’t stop being drawn to her. Pretty soon their “friendship” is more than just friends. …but they can’t be more then friends can they??
When we see Jules letting her guard down, I was super excited but then I was tapping Bent asking him when he is gonna spill the beans about Emmy…..I mean I kinda figured one of the secrets and we knew another but it’s never a good idea to withhold the whole truth dude!!
When Bentley and Jules decide to step up this relationship and then the wedding happens, my heart was all over the place….Happy and then devastated!! I felt the hurt that Jules felt and I understood Bentley reasoning but but but…my heart was still a mess!!
I gotta say, for a book I had ZERO CLUE about I am super excited I took book. It was a great read and I kinda am curious about the 2nd book about one of the other “brothers” of Jules, Smitty!!!

I really enjoyed this book and quickly fell in love with the characters.I was given this book by the author in exchange for a review. I was impressed and look forward to reading more books by the author!
Jules grew up under the protective umbrella of her brother JP. JP had stepped in and raised Jules after a family tragedy. He has been her rock and go to person ever since. However, JP is in love with Bri and is getting married. Although JP would never abandon his sister, he pushes her to find a boyfriend that will be there for her when she needs someone.
In the beginning, Jules is not impressed with Bri but tries to get along for JP's sake. Once introduced to Bri's brother Bentley, sparks begin to fly. Bri and Bentley's relationship blossoms with friendship and love. However secrets that Bentley should have shared in the beginning of their relationship are revealed at the worse time possible. Bri withdraws and is scared of being hurt. She must learn with love there is forgiveness and to never assume.I won't say too much more as not to spoil the story.
