Then she meets a little dog that is friendly and may—or may not—be a stray. Her parents let her keep him until they find the owner, but Lucy, who calls him Trouble, begins to hope the owner is never found.

About the author

Jean Little (January 02, 1932 - April 06, 2020) was a Canadian author, born in Taiwan, but who lived most her life in Guelph, Ontario.

Little's work mainly consisted of children's literature, but she also wrote two autobiographies: Little by Little and Stars Come Out Within.

She is a Member of the Order of Canada and a recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Jean Little Public School, in Guelph, Ont. is named in her honour.

Little had been partially blind since birth as a result of scars on her cornea and was frequently accompanied by her guide dog. While her death occurred during the onset of the pandemic, it was not attributed to COVID-19.

I like how the title "Lost and Found" refers to how Trouble was lost and then found, but how it also refers to how Lucy and Missy lost hope and love, and how they found it again in each other.

Lucy, spending her first day in a new town, hasn't a friend. Then she finds a small pup wandering along the street, seemingly lost. she very much wants to keep him? Or does he have an owner that wants him back? A poignant tale about doing the right thing.

my favourite part was when trouble got a good home and also lucy got to adopt her own dog to take care of. the worst part was when trouble ran away from home. my favourite character was lucy because she helped two dogs, trouble and a sad dog who missed her owner.

Reread this book for the 3rd time because I wanted to catch up to my goodreads goal.
The book was cute and wholesome and I would most likely read it again.
