C.G. Cooper

C. G. Cooper is the USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLING author of the CORPS JUSTICE novels, several spinoffs and a growing number of stand-alone novels.

One of his novels, CHAIN OF COMMAND, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Cooper doesn't chase awards, but this one was special.

Cooper grew up on a steady diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family.

Upon graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, Cooper was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years as an infantry officer. C. G. Cooper's final Marine duty station was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle of Music City.

His first published novel, BACK TO WAR, came out of a desire to link back to his time in the Marine Corps. That novel, written as a side project, spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and catapulted Cooper's career.

Cooper lives just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who's become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels.

Moral Brilliance!!

Another superb book from, who is fast becoming, one of my favourite authors. Absolutely fantastic. Again, no shortage of action but it’s all in the right places. Cal and ‘a newly extended team’ perform brilliantly once more against the globes enemy. A must read worthy of five stars.

Moral Imperative is the final published novel in The Corps Justice Series and I'm sorry that the next book in the series isn't already available, leaving me at the edge of the cliff for months to find out what's up with Andy!

These last two books had me hooked from the beginning - forcing me to finish each story in single setting - real page turners! In this story, Cal and his band of Merry Men - a combined team of elite forces from countries around the world - complete an arduous schedule of training in order to take on ISIS - a few good men against the many! Their raids also include the tracking and elimination of recruits, who had joined ISIS from other countries around the world and are now returning home to visit families. The terrorist group and individuals of ISIS will soon learn that there is no sanctuary.

The team faces scrutiny when one of the new members reveals a secret that has the potential to destroy Cal's group of warriors and trust can only go so far! How do they handle this? I'm also thinking that the great success of this book is due to the author writing about real life issues of today. ISIS is real, dangerous and expanding...Mr. Cooper has offered a solution for their elimination!

Great job Mr. Cooper - I look forward to your continuing stories!

WOW !!.! , Cooper nocks this one out of the park !

Holy crap ! ! , This is the kind of writing that a young Tom Clancy would've been proud too have written. Cooper gives a good understanding of the kind of silent respect that warrior's have between each other that only develops from depending on each others for survival . Which is something that many people couldn't understand unless you depend on your co workers to save your life on a daily basis .
It's refreshing that the author hasn't been afraid to show the true side of the war on terrorism.
The only fault with the writer is that he proclaims President Zimmerman as a not a Democrat and not his true nature as a Republican.( joking of course) Maybe as he runs for reelection he changes tickets . overall this is a really good military novel. Great read

'Moral Imperative' was a very intense and thought provoking read. The storyline was well written and well thought out. Full of action, intensity, unlikely allies and issues plaguing the world today. From Zimmer to Cal to the foreigners there was intense scenarios and an almost beautiful dance of retribution. And no, mass murder, death and betrayal are not beautiful. But the way this book brought countries together to rid the worst evil of all from the face of this earth was justified and the realism behind it is all too evident. President Zimmer has come a long way since he was first introduced into the 'Corps Justice Series' and it's pretty awesome. Cal and his team are just as deadly as ever. I can't wait to read more. A great series to add to your tbr list. Recommended read.

Ravages of War

At first I wasn't quite sure about reading of war, but as I forced myself and was quite surprised by Cooper's writing. I'm glad this one! found myself realizing how much his studies had to offer in regard to war and to the very human side of those who fight to keep our country safe. Yes you guessed it I am a wife a mother and grew up during the Viet Nam war and lost people who were close to me and remember how our warriors were treated when they arrived back home. One in particular who was only 17 when he left and came back only to struggle for years after and eventually committed suicide. To you C.G I commend you for your excellent stories and I will continue to read on.

Awesome read as always!!!

CG Cooper has a nack for writing that entrances a person. I love his characters and all the detail he puts into each one. I always hate for the book to end, but know there is new one waiting for me. If you like action/thrillers, these books are for you. Keep up the great work Mr. Cooper.

Moral Imperative. C.G. Cooper

Isis has stepped up its terrorist attacks on innocents. One two many times. The sleeping giant, America has awakened. President Zimmer, isn't backing down. Isis and all Isalmic terrorists are on the run. Their day has ended. This is a fantastic read! My highest recommendation.

Good

When the water ran out he glanced at the soldier’s sidearm. To take it would be to re-enter the fight, to forget the next life for the moment and take up arms again in this world. He stared at the weapon for several long moments and then looked at the hole that had been blown in the wall. He knew the will of Allah.

Continued excellence

Cal and his Jefferson group are tasked with harming the middle east bullies of the time ISIS. To that end they are united with an international group of warriors. While preparations are going on Cal meets a woman he is comfortable with but can not tell what is going on because the old military saying applies "loose lips sink ships."

This series is getting interesting.

Cal and his friends are taking on ISIS. The way they train and plan to make a difference in a world gone crazy. The only question I have was why leave SSI, only to be doing the same thing for the President of the United States. Either way they will get found out.

If only it could be. This book mirrors what is now going on

This is the second time reading this book, not something I often do. I still couldn't put it down. I love this series and the characters. It is certainly thought provoking.

A lie confusing introducing Arabs who we need heard of, was sure what was going on. I didn’t like this method of putting characters in the story. It took longer than usual for me to get really interested so I don’t think it was anything near his best work.

Morals

I didn't want the Bulgarian to die, but he had to. What the team did was awesome! I can't wait to see what they do next. Cal can't go without Daniel, so I hope they find out what happened to Andy! Can't wait to read the next one.

Yes,it is.

Following the series leaves little to be desired. The characters continue to ring true and event are believeable. I will, if possible, read the series as my interest is firmly established. The better way is to read the books.

I have a hard time reading books about the wars in the Middle East... I guess it’s because they are a real part of my life. But, after deciding to read this particular book I was glad I did. It has a good storyline and introduces some real good new characters.

Short

The author seems to write more about the feelings of the characters and what they are thinking then to the real plot of the book,or maybe I 'm wrong and that is the plot of the book. Overall not great, but just alright.

C. G. Coopered up in this sequel.

C. G. Coopered up in this sequel, ratcheting up the tension and conflict. Full of twists and convoluted turns-of-events. An exciting ride.
