A Family Saga with humor, heat and heart--not to mention beer, bourbon and basketball!
Every family has one—the black sheep, the problem child, the prodigal. But Dominic Sean Love could teach all of those guys a lesson or two. Stuck in the middle of a boisterous group of siblings, he’s given “acting out” a new meaning from day one.
While he’s the one son who follows his strict father’s footsteps into the Love family business, he’s also the one who butts heads with him the hardest. Their epic clashes are the stuff of family legend. But they have made peace and work side by side to take Love Brewing to the next level of success.
Until Dominic does the one thing his father can never forgive.
Diana Brantley has been Dominic’s friend, girlfriend and ex-girlfriend so many times she’s lost count. When he shows up at the farm she’s slowly transforming into a wildly popular farm-to-table resource for restaurants all over the U.S. her first impulse is to shoot first and ask questions later. But she doesn’t. And their lives entwine once more, for good, bad and ugly.

Love Brewing is the third book in the Love Brothers series from Liz Crowe. I knew I wanted to read this book after I read the blurb. There is just something about the black sheep of the family, and I am a sucker for second chance romance stories. (Though to be fair, this was more than just a second chance!) But I have to say that this book was nothing like the blurb at all, and I had a lot of issues with this story. I did feel as though I wanted to see this one through though, and I did finish so that I could find out what happened. But if I'm honest, this was not the book I had been expecting or hoping for at all.
Dominic Love and Diana Brantley have been a part of each others lives for years. They grew up together, and everyone always thought that it was a matter of time before they got together. But Dom hurt and betrayed Diana more than once, and she has finally started to move on with her life. With the help of her sister, Diana has begun to turn their family farm into a successful business taking the vegetables they grow and the meat they hunt, and turning it into five star quality restaurant food. When Dom suddenly reappears asking for a place to stay, Diana reluctantly agrees to let him stay for a short time to get himself together. But the longer he stays, the more they start to fall back into familiar patterns. Will Dom and Diana be able to figure things out between them once and for all, or will Diana be left heartbroken yet again?
I will admit that I did not like the characters in this story, and I found it impossible to connect with them. I really don't want to spoil this story for those interested in reading, so if you don't want any details you might want to stop reading now. I think it would be unfair to criticize without giving a few examples of what didn't work for me. The biggest problem I had with these characters was all the cheating. Dom cheated on Diana more than once. Diana cheated on Lee with Dom. It was not okay to me, and I thought that these two were toxic together. I could tell that they genuinely had feelings for one another, but neither one of them could ever get their act together. Diana would feel betrayed by Dom, and yet the next second she is falling back into his arms. Dom betrayed Diana more than once, and as far as I could really tell his only excuse was because he was a guy. There were some mental issues going on with Dom, and other characters frequently mentioned his needing to take his pills. But to me, it was never an excuse for his actions and didn't explain why he continued to do the things he did knowing how he was hurting Diana. Because Diana kept going back for more, I had no respect for her. I thought she was just as bad as Dom if not worse, since she didn't have any kind of issues going on. I didn't understand the reasons behind either of their actions, and I just wanted them to figure things out once and for all.
I also had an issue with the fact that there was so much drama in this book, and it got to the point where it was just over the top. I didn't think that it was believable just how much seemed to constantly happen to these two. There was just too much, and it made it pretty unrealistic. Between all the ex-lovers, family issues and current lovers it was hard to keep everything straight. I think part of the problem was the fact that the story jumped around in time so much. The changes were drastic and would jump back in time to present, then suddenly we are years down the road. It was just too much to try and keep everything straight or really even care at that point. While I wish that I could have liked these characters, I found myself not liking them a bit. I couldn't find any redeeming qualities in any of them, and the secondary characters were just as bad as the main characters. I never felt invested in their story and honestly by the time I got to the end I just wanted it to be over. I will say that Liz Crowe had things so up in the air for the entire story though that I had to keep reading just to see how things would end. I needed to see what would play out for all these characters, and I can absolutely say that I never would have been able to figure it out had I not kept reading. I never knew what would happen next or what turn the story would take. So while this book didn't work for me personally, I think that it will for other readers. If you like a lot of drama and angst and don't mind the constant will they or won't they, I think you might want to give this one a shot.
I listened to this story via audibles. The narrator is the same as the first book and I really like his voice, tone, etc.
Love Brewing is a very complicated story that sucked me in right away. I actually, in error skipped book 2, and didn't have any issue with keeping up. I didn't realize until I was like 60% or something into the book.
Dom is a complicated character and at times I just wanted to hit up side the head and other times just give him a hug. This book is really good. I love these characters and said it before that they really feel real. I can picture them and their situations.
Diana is Dom's on again/off again; on again/off again girlfriend and I was so happy when she finally told him the what for. He totally needed to get his shit together and several circumstances that occur in the book make him do just that.
Liz Crowe does an amazing job to make you want to go hang out with everyone in the Love family. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.
Dominic Love, Oh my Dom! I think I've found my favorite Love Brother, well OK its really a tie between Antony and Dom, I'll reread the series later and maybe be able to make a firm decision on that.
I'm not going to go through the book information, you can get all of that from the synopsis. Instead I'm just going to share with you my thoughts on this amazing book.
Dom Love is one messed up Love Brother, and to me that just made him more endearing, there were times I wanted to take a 2x4 to his head, and times I just wanted to hug him. The same goes for Diana I loved her but wanted to smack her sometimes as well.
This whole series and this book in particular are not just stories, they are journeys, ones that are filled with situations that can be found in our everyday lives. Dom's journey to become the man he ultimately does is a long one, filled with missteps, mistakes, and regrets but there are also laughs, loves, and fun times and learning, lots of learning.
I think its clear if you look at my book list that I'm a sucker for family drama's and The Love Brothers is now cemented in my top family drama reads. If you like books that pull emotions right out of you, and I mean ALL emotions, the good, the bad and the ugly then don't pass up The Love Brothers.
** ARE given on behalf of obsessed by books for an honest review ** we finally get to see what all the fuss is about with Dominic Sean Love "Dom". he is my favorite he a bad boy with a lot love to give. he is the only one out of the love brother following his fathers footsteps but they don't see eye to eye. Dom suffers mental issues such as depression and just has a hard time dealing with his life he has chosen to keep hush til he falls in love with a man and that just isn't going to go over well with his father, so much so his father disowns him to say. so to help deal with all this he goes running to the one person who always welcomes him back his on/off again girlfriend Dana. which is really a shame seeing how she a has a pretty great guy in her life but she cant seem to tell him no. my emotions where all over the place with this book. I loved dom but hated him too. He is real sweet and loving but his ways and actions piss me off but I can relate to the depression issues. really enjoyed this book.
Dominic Love. Oh Dominic. So much love to give so many hearts to break. Dominic shows up on his ex-girlfriend Diana's front step after breaking up a wedding of two friends. He is confused, angry, hurt and basically messed up in the head. Diana can NEVER deny Dominic even though she KNOWS she should with every power of her being. Add to the Dom/Diana dynamic a strong family of Love siblings and parents pushing Dom in the right direction and Diana's boyfriend Lee who you cannot help but adore, this story will stick with you for a very long time. I don't want to give spoilers but there are so many twists and turns to the story that your heart aches for Dom one minute and the next you want to pummel the hell out of him.
This Liz Crow book is the quintessential Liz story telling I adore. There is love, hate, angst and such beautifully written characters. This is one book I will read again or listen to on Audible.
Wow, I knew this Love brother would be a handful but I was unprepared for how much. Dominic Love is a chemically unbalanced, bi-sexual, hot headed mess. After dramatically stopping his male ex-lover's wedding, he is promptly disowned by his father causing a family split I wasn't sure could be healed. Dom then runs to the place he has always felt safe, his ex-girlfriend's farm. Although she is engaged, she takes him in and a different kind of trouble begins. I love this series because it's different. You eventually get to a HEA but the ride can be fucked up. If you want something different pick up this series.
I received a preview copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback.
Another home run! Love Brewing is typical Liz - lots of realistic (but entertaining to read) family drama, yummy men, and hot sex. There were several scenes where I literally laughed out loud, and my heart went out to Dom as he navigated his way through the curveballs life threw at him. The other brothers and his parents are in the book as well. You could read this as a stand-alone, but I'd definitely recommend reading in order.
Oh my God, I knew that this book would be a doozie and Liz didn't disappoint. Dominic Love is a very troubled young man and he has been from when he was a child. Diana Brantley, his best friend and on/off lover, has always believed in him and given him love and support, so it is no surprise who he turns to when he finds himself in trouble again. This story tells of Dominic's internal struggles and his relationships with not only his family but with Diana and his son. It is a wonderfully moving story, one not to be missed.
this book was epic in the LOVE Brothers saga... you knew it was going to be a battle of emotions... it's about Dom.. the most broken, misunderstood swoon worthy brother of the clan...
Liz did not disappoint! I feel like I have been beaten up and struck by Cupid's bow at the same time. The intense level of frustration and pain you feel while at the same time complete and utter love you just can't contain for Dom and his family, it blows your mind!
As always, Liz Crowe NEVER disappoints! Dominic's story is another true roller coaster ride that I never want to get off of! Emotions run from love to hate (with redeeming qualities)to laughter and tears. Another wonderful read from Liz. I was fortunate enough to get an advanced read copy and cannot wait for the release of this book in the series, as well as all the others!
I loved this book!! There is really nothing else to say. REALLY!! I love how Liz writes. Life is real and real things happen. It's dirty and sad then you get hearts and roses sometimes. But no matter what it's real. Dom is a great character. He will stick with you for a very long time. I get book hangover a lot. But he has taken the cake thus far.
Whew, what an incredible and intense story! I am left speechless after reading Dominic Sean Love's story! He had the hardest time just being him and finding his comfort zone. It was such a rush to read about him and all the struggles and all the good things that happen. You're in for a crazy ride!
I had mixed feelings as I read through this book. I said from the start that Dominic was going to be my favorite brother, BUT as I read along I fell in love with the vet, he stole my heart and I didn’t like Dominic too much. He might be a bad boy and I do love my bad boys so much but I didn’t like him at all. I loved him in the other two books but in this one I didn’t. With that said I have to admit about half way through the book he became my hero and I fell for him all over again. It is easy to see how Diana fell so hard for him and could never turn him down or walk away. That man is one heartbreak walking, he knows how to break’em and tear them down, he is a walking disaster. He can destroy just about anything, but the one thing he won’t be able to destroy is the love of his family and the women he loves. They have some trying times, they might walk away from each other but when it really counts they are one.
I would have to say out of all the love brothers this is my favorite story. There is so much pain, love and heartbreak that it leaves you saying WOW. You think you have got to be kidding! Just when you think it cannot get any worse the author shows you it can. Just when you think it can’t get any better the author shows you how her great mind works and pulls you in so you want so much to be a part of this family at the same time you are so thankful you are not.
I could have been happy with the whole gay scene but the author had a wild story to tell that has many twist and turns. This is so close to real life you say OH MY, as you say poor Diana. Will these two ever make it work? Then we find they move on, life hurts and we grow. Let’s just say the author will take you on many paths before she let you find the true road. Dominic has many lessons to learn, he must learn them over and over again. He has to fall on his face many times until he gets to where he needs to be.
There are so many wonderful characters in this book. Lee you are going to fall in love with as he breaks your heart. Life takes many turns and many life’s will be lost as this family fines its way to become one. I felt so bad for Lee and Diana. Lee you will always have my heart, he was truly a wonderful character. You will have as many tears as you will laughs as the family brings you to your knees. You are going to shake your head as you say a few curse words as the author tells the Love Brothers story. At one point I thought nothing good is going to come out of this book, Liz pulled me in and I thought ok that is the way you are going to go, this can work. Then I am dang if she didn’t change the route and again I though nothing good will come of this. This is the way the book went all the way through, until the whole dang thing fell apart and we take a different path where we find the best part of the story waiting for us.
Liz you pulled it off to make this the best read to date. I totally loved this love brother who had such a hard time fitting in and his lady Diana who stood by his side even from afar at times through it all. I so enjoy watching Dominic grow as a man and a father to become the best of them all. If you haven’t pick up any of the Love Brother Series you do not know what you are missing. Just do not expect to find your normal read, Liz isn’t interested in the HEA but in the WHA as she takes you on the ride of your life through broken homes, people who are and live like us. Her stories are ones that will stick with you way after you start your next read.
I knew since the first book, Love Garage, that Dominic Love would be my favorite Love brother. He sure is the most broken one of them. I knew he had his issues, but until I read Love Brewing I had no idea how deep they went.
I don't recommend you to read any spoilers, because some information could be misunderstood. I warn you though, this is not a MM book.
The story is about Dominic Love and also about Diana Brantley. They've had a on -and -off "relationship" for years. Diana was Dominic's girlfriend three times, all of which he cheated on her (one with her sister, which I got MAD about!!)!! I liked the story because it went back and forth until some time. Then it was only in the present. But what I really liked about Dom and Diana's story is that they had separate stories and separate lives. They've had issues to fix, specially Dominic!
I could really relate to them, specially to Dominic, which was a suprise because it's more difficult for me to relate to male characters. I felt like I was in Dom's shoes most of the book and I got him.
I also was in Diana's shoes most of the book, specially when I got revolted about how Dom treated her. I actually wanted to smack young Diana for always going back to a man who treated her like shit. I get that Dom loved her and he had his issues, most of them he couldn't control, but well, he was jerk. A real class jerk.
Another thing I like about this series is that, although the characters aren't old, they all had had lives before they got together. Either because they had children, or went to college to study or got married (almost every one of them were married before). So we don't get too much drama and instead we get real life problems.
I love a little drama, don't get me wrong (just a little though, I hate overdramatized stories), but sometimes is good not to have it mixed in a story!
Dom managed to make me hate him a little, but then he broke my heart more than a little. He really came a long way, he had to accept he needed help, he needed his medication. He had a lot of issues to accept about himself, most instilled to him by his father. Anton, the Love patriarc was a character I hate for most of the book. I really wish it was shown more about him, and how he dealt with his family's issues.
Diana also went a long way from the puppy-loving girl that always followed Dom around and accepted his bullshit. Yes, she still couldn't manage to resist him (but then who would lol), but she finally matured at some point and I give her brownie points for stepping out for herself and realising that everyone was so used to cuddle Dom and that was one of the reasons he got aways with the shitty things he did.
Diana is a strong heroine, she has an addiction to her first love, but she isn't a push-over. Even when she can't resist him (she actually initiates a lot of their hot moments LOL). She is a hardworker and she also works hard to find a direction to her life. Her boyfriend Lee is an example of that. I loved that she gave herself the opportunity to love and be loved by someone who treated her good. Because Dom...well, he wasn't a good man. Most of the time.
Differently from Love Garage I liked that the big climax and resolution was left to the end, because Love Brewing's story was built in a way that we feel we lived everything with them, so in the end I don't feel left behind or that the story reached an end before we get to see everything.
So far Love Brewing is my favorite book in the series!!
Book 3 in the awesome Love Brothers series - This is Dominic Love's story.
I have looked forward to this book from the minute I met Dominic in book 1, Love Garage. Who doesn't love a bad boy, a tortured soul, a man who lives his life saying a big fuck you to the rules. I knew this man was trouble and let me say before I go any further, Liz Crowe did not let me down.
Dominic love is the 3rd of 5 siblings. He has always been the handful, the black sheep and has always been the one to cause both Lindsay and Anton Love the most concern. Having fled the conflict that he caused in the conclusion of Coach Love, and having reached rock bottom he turns to the only person that he knows will always be there for him; his on/off childhood sweetheart Diana Brantly. His life is in turmoil and at somewhat of a crossroads but will the love of his past become his future? or will it just cause him more heartache and confusion?
Having divorced her cheating husband, Diana is back in Kentucky trying to forge a business out of her parents failing farm. What she doesn't need is Dominic Love showing up. Their history is tainted with his selfishness and after the final rejection and resulting blow out, she finally put their relationship to bed for good; or so she thought. She has always been the person he runs to in times of pain or when the legendary Love family fallouts took place, but she has a new life now and one that she is not going to let Dom disrupt; if only her head could convince her heart of that.
This is a story of friendship, loyalty and unconditional love. It's a story of a man who feels let down by the people that should offer their support at the hardest of times. A journey in finding himself and loving the person he is regardless of the low regard people hold him in. Finally it is about moving forward and becoming the responsible person that the past has prevented him from becoming and finding a happy place that everyone deserves to have. It will at times bring tears to your eyes.
I freaking loved this book! Every journey Liz takes you on is a emotional juggernaut but she really has cranked it right up in this book.
We are taken back into the past to look at the relationship between Dom and Diana and how that has shaped them into the people they are today. The present shows us the dreadfully low place Dom has fallen into and the friction that he has with his family; in particular his father Anton. We read about the emerging relationship he has with his own child, who after being estranged suddenly reappears in his life. Dom really does face a plethora of real life issues in this book and at times you wonder whether he can make it out to the other side and finally find the happiness that has always been just out of reach for him.
This book however doesn't just tell Dom's story, this book also takes you on a journey with Diana, the person who has been Dom's rock for so long. He has loved and broken the heart of this woman so many times but they have this connection that tethers them together; even when they try so hard to pull apart. The question is, will Diana allow Dom to spoil her life once again when so many things are going in the right direction for her at last. Well I am saying no more, you will just have to read it yourself to find out.
This book is the epitome of real life storytelling and is a fine example of Liz's unique style of romance. A 5 Crown (I need more crowns) Liz Crowe masterpiece.
Warning: this book contains a lot of emotional triggers that could cause readers to exhibit signs of a mental disorder. Reader discretion is advised.
After he halted a wedding and severed tenuous Love family ties, Dominic Love seeks solace with the one person who he knows he can count on no matter what: longtime friend, lover, girlfriend, ex…whatever…Diana Brantley. Diana knows better than to let the volatile Love sibling back in her life again, but she can't turn down his plea for help, not when she can see the fear and stricken look on his face. Beyond the mental illnesses that plague him and his propensity to self-unmedicate, nobody ever knows which Dom they're going to get when he enters their life.
A complete and unashamed manwhore, Dom has slept with anyone that shows interest, but most recently it was a man who he fell in love with, and when his homophobic father found out, Dom was pretty much disowned and kicked out of the Love family fold. Despite her engagement to another man, Diana can't pull herself away from the hold Dom has on her, setting all the players up for an explosive fall. Join the Love family as they continue their heartbreaking saga.
LOVE BREWING is the third book in the ongoing Love family saga featuring a family of Italian/Irish-Americans who would be the very definition of dysfunctional. Since he was a child old enough to understand that his brain didn't work the same as his siblings, Dom has been coddled and catered to and enabled in a way that encourages his rebellious and destructive behaviors. Knowing people with mental illnesses, I can relate to his highs and lows and extreme narcissism that makes up his daily life. Ms. Crowe's "Romance for Real Life" certainly rang true in LOVE BREWING, almost to the point that it was disturbing. Too many drugs and alcohol and bad choices and sex and lies and horrid behavior went past the real life sexy romance feel and into the disturbing.
And I had a hard time feeling for Diana since the idiot kept taking him back in her life over and over, despite his repeated heart crushing actions. Saying too much about this particular book would be giving too much away, but I will say that even as a huge fan of Ms. Crowe, this story was so over the top disturbing that I almost didn't like it at all. The big saving grace, for me, was the fact that she tackled an illness that isn't often explored in women's fiction genre, which I found brave.
*For those of you that don’t know: cheating/love triangles are a very heavy theme in this series.*
When reviewing a book I look at a couple different things: the writing style, character development, story flow & content, and the overall way it made me feel. With that being said I must admit that I seriously struggled with this one. How do you rate a book when the writing itself is good but you hate the characters? I want to be fair but I just can’t overlook my issues. I was so frustrated at times that I just wanted to stop reading, but I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review and I felt compelled to follow through.
These characters just infuriated me beyond belief from beginning to end. They have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Dominic Love is a womanizing, unapologetic man-whore who even when he hits rock bottom time and time again learns absolutely nothing from it and continues to be self-destructive and irresponsible. Diana Brantley is a spineless door mat, who even after Dom sleeps with her sister forgives him and lets him take her virginity the very next day. Seriously?! Dom screws up, cheats, embarrasses Diana, and basically causes pain wherever he goes yet everybody enables him, and Diana takes him back each and every time. There is just nothing likeable about either of them. Even the whole family dynamics factor that I love so much about this series couldn’t save this one for me.
I honestly couldn’t imagine how Dominic could possibly have a HEA, I actually wished he wouldn’t because he didn’t deserve it! And neither did Diana for all the stupid decisions she made. Can you tell how frustrated I am with this one?! It’s a shame that the characters ruined it for me because this review could have been completely different otherwise. Also, I wasn't a fan of the time jumping. It happens in the other books in the series too, but usually towards the end when all the loose ends are being tied up. This one was just constantly time jumping and it makes it hard to stay connected.
I will say that I did like the dual POV. Ms. Crowe has a fun catchy way of writing that will draw you into the story, and even though I didn’t enjoy this particular book I will be looking into her Stewart Realty Series, which I’ve heard is good.
Oh my gosh....definitely not what I was expecting after...
wait. ..you have read Coach Love right???
Um...okay I'll wait here while you go handle that real quick before I say some spoilers...
...
...
no seriously, I'll wait...
...
...
done?
Okay good!
So after that massive blow out at Cara and Kent's wedding...I was expecting a gay romance....I was expecting to see Dom and Kent both come to terms with their relationship and watch their love grow. .
when the first part of the book was from some chick's POV. ..needless to say I was baffled! I honestly sat the boom down and said..."nope, nu uh...I don't want to read about some selfish rednecks forcing people to believe they have something wrong with them because they are gay or bi. Nope...not reading it..."
Well that lasted all of ten minutes and I just had to know what happens damn it!
Anyways...I won't toss in spoilers of this book...just know that it was a damn emotionally draining read that kept me wanting more...wanting everyone to get their HEA and for Anton to get his redneck head out of his ass...sorry even as a southern girl I can deal well with people like that...even fictional characters!
Okay so...yeah...just go buy it! It is an awesome story that does AL good job of wrapping up a lot of loss ends. My only issue with Love Brewing (besides the damn cheating that is apparently a family trait...) was how the story jumped around time wise. we get random flashbacks to childhood...then current life...then 4 years down the road...just seemed like a lot of skipping around that muddled things up for me.
Oh and I didn't think that Jace's character flowed with the time jumps. He behaves much younger than he should. ..I think lol
Anyways...go give the series a read! Next book, Family Love, comes out soon and I for one can't wait!!
I was provided an early reader copy of this book and the book is still being edited. I have now read the first and second books, ‘Love Garage’ and ‘Coach Love’, and now this third book of the Love Brothers series.
I love everything Liz Crowe writes and, prior to this series, have read approximately 15+ of her books so far. She is incredibly talented in making the reader feel the emotions of the characters and the storyline lingers in your mind long after you have finished reading. Liz takes this series into a slightly different direction from some of her other stories, and has a hit on her hands!
This series is a contemporary family-type saga, which includes a large loving family, family disagreements, a love triangle, engaging secondary characters, and a mother who doesn’t take any crap from her family! I highlighted so many parts of this story, and also laughed a lot in various scenes.
I felt the intensity of Dom’s issues and his struggles, and his strained relationship with his father. I don’t want to give away any specific details since the story is still being edited, but this was an emotional story from beginning to end. Even with all of Dom’s faults, I love him the most of the brothers, even while disliking some of his actions. His story was heartbreaking at times and it brought me to tears.
There are some secondary characters that you can’t help but care for and I just sobbed with some of the details, interactions, and events.
This story is expected to be published in early 2015 and, if you haven’t read any of Liz’s work yet, give this series a try. This series includes compelling characters, an engaging story, and a HEA, even though it might not be the one you expect.
Dominic Love has always been the lose cannon of his family.
During his high school years he was diagnosed with mental illness and put on a cocktail of medication to help regulate his brain's chemistry. While his mother has always been understanding of his medical condition, his father has been in somewhat of a denial ever since they found out.
Dominic's life has been a long and painful roller coaster ride that included the women and men he had relationships with, the son his ex moved away from him, and his family, who more times than not enable his behavior instead of helping him face his problems head on. The only constant in his life for better or worse was Diana and on and off girlfriend since high school, who he hurt time and time again but who loved him with all she had, even when he clearly didn't deserve it.
Like is usually the case, it took Dominic to reach rock bottom ten times over to start straightening his life and make up for all the wrong he did along the way.
This is by far my favorite book of this series. I loved Dominic from the very beginning and my heart went out to him many times, even those when I really wanted to smack him and told him to get a grip and grow the hell up. This is Dominic's journey, his path, not only to finding himself, but to forgive and accept himself and the people around him.
Liz did a fantastic job developing Dominic's character, it truly was a superb characterization of a man dealing with his demons and overcoming them.
The author's writing is very compelling and she will drag you along with Dominic throughout his experiences.
Side Note: This book deals with mental illness, the use of alcohol and drugs which could be triggers for some people.
OMG has LIZ CROWE done it again with with LOVE BREWING!! I rec'd an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest opinion of her book. This is the mouse very honest opinion of LOVE BREWING. I must say after reading and following the the Love family in Love Garage-Love Coach and now Love Brewing!! The Love family has been through a lot of ups and downs. ANd boy does Loz Crowe bring it on with all of her delicious descriptions and exploits and troubles thats the brothers seem to get themselves into. Ms Crowe writing style is so very different-she brings the everyday life issues that you would face daily. And make them feel they effect this family only. Love Brewing deals with Dom the most brother that is so alike there father. He is stubborn-knowns how to make run the brewery- yet he is loveable. Dom gives the family the most trouble in the family. He is always going back to the girl that he keeps breaking up with. In Loves Brewing he goes to her farm looking for a place to hide and get his act together- his family has disowned him. According to his father he is dead. But according to his ex she is getting married - she allows his to stay in her barn and work around the farm. Lots of things happen in this in story. And you have to read book 3 of the LOve Brothers. !! I recommend this book for all. And I have to say this -LOVE BREWING WAS JUST RELEASED MARCH 1ST 2015!!! This is a brand new book and you Have to get it now. Make sure you follow the Love Brothers !! Mousey gives this book a firm 45 out of 5 stars.. NOW WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ?? Dominic is known as the black sheep of the family. His father is so strict with him, and yet he is the only one of brothers who has followed his father into the family business of brewing. He has grown to love the business and he has a knack for it... but his main intent has always been to somehow garnish his father's approval. He is the middle child in this boisterous family, and he is still struggling to succeed. It definitely seems like no matter how much he tries he can never do anything right. It always just blows up on him.
This story, to me, is more than the struggle for approval and success. It is also the story of surviving with a disability few understand or recognize. Bi-polar disorder - we hear about it, we don't understand it. Dominic struggles with the medications, the side effects, his desire to be normal, and the impulses that forever get him in trouble. In all of this, he still is struggling with his feelings for Diana Brantley. She is his safe haven. She has always been there for him when no one else would lend him a hand. Their story of love and loss is one that will grip your heart and make you think about the meaning of love.
This heartbreaking and uplifting story is one I will not soon forget. In the end, it all boils down to being true to yourself; learning to accept who you are; and most of all, you must love yourself before you can commit to another human being. If you cannot accept yourself, how can you possibly extend loving feelings and acceptance to others?
I spent the last week getting to know the Love Family by devouring all four books in this series. They're little brash and rough around the edges but they are a cohesive unit that demands your attention. With Liz Crowe's latest addition to this series, Love Brewing, we finally get to find out what makes Dominic so angry and removed from the rest of the family. This boy has got some secrets
I thought Love Brewing was emotionally complicated. The author does not the use the typical romance book plot formula. Diana and Dominic spend years circling around one another. Loving and hurting each other in ways that made my heart ache. It's an great story and I had a hard time putting it down to deal with my daily responsibilities. You're waiting and anticipating their happily ever after but you honestly just don't know if they're ever going to find it
I truly enjoyed this book and I think of all the brothers, I like Dominic the best. I wasn't sure if I wanted to give him a hug and try to comfort him or if I wanted to rip off all his clothes and discover more about his piercings and tattoos. He's charming and seductive but he is also a bit of a rascal. I didn't blame Diana for being in love with him for the majority of her life - Dominic tugs at your heart strings as well as your panties.
Liz Crowe's books always feel like you're getting a glimpse into someone's private family moments. Her characters and their world feel real - it's easy to connect. I would definitely recommend you check out her Love Brothers Series - it is a great read.
Dominic caught my heart in Book One Love Garage where he is introduced as the black sheep bad boy. I knew deep down that there was more to his story.
In Book Two Coach Love, where he spent his time causing all kinds of drama he continued to peak my interest. But it was the ending when Dominic causes a shocking event that affects the whole family that made me sit up and go "Oh no…now what!". I couldn’t wait to read this book to see what would happen next.
This book was written in a spectacular manner that hit a home run for me. It took me out of my comfort zone and caused me to open myself to other possibilities of love and what happens if someone you love suffers with manic-depression.
This book is not all nice, cute and pretty. It is a lovely sort of messy in the sense that Dominic continues to make a mess of his life and those around him even as he tries desperately to do the right thing and be normal. It’s about loving your family even when they don’t love you and loving two people at the same time outside of what society thinks is right.
This book made me cry and made me wish desperately for a happy ending for Dominic and Diana. It is a HEA but there are lots of twists and turns to get to the surprising ending.
I give this book 5 STARS. It is not for the faint of heart but it is well worth the read.

Once again Liz Crowe has created a fictional story that rings true in so many different ways. Dom, the bad boy of all The Love Brothers ambles through his young years as a guy who just can't get enough sex to satisfy his needs.
Eventually he grows up though and takes on the business his father built. Although Dom and his father have issues they do begin an acceptable relationship through the family business. That is until Dom does the one thing his father will never forgive him for. Things fall apart after that and Dom ends up going back to his old stand-by girlfriend, Diana.
Diana has always love Dom but she also knew he was, at one time, a liar and cheater. He has devastated her and she has finally moved on with her life when he reappears. Her mistake? Letting Dom stay there with her. Things begin to get out of control again and Diana finds herself needing to decide between the man she is engaged to marry or risk her heart once again on the man she's loved for many years.
Want to know what happens? You will have to read it to find out!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. In fact, it was so good, that I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Then came the end of the book hangover. Liz Crowe has an amazing talent for sucking in her readers and keeping them until the end of the story and/or series is at an end. As she did in The Stewart Realty Series, she has created yet another series worth taking the time to read.
I wasn't sure what to expect from the series about the Love brothers. They definitely are not easy men to live with and love and the women in their lives also deal in lies and betrayal.
I would expect the sons of a religious family with committed parents to have more respect for themselves and the women in their lives but they tend to cheat and lie pretty easily.
I would have preferred less interactions with others when they are saying how much they love and care for someone else. They don't have much quilt over their actions either which would have been appropriate.
In this third book, Dominic is in a very bad place. He has major psychiatric issues and now has had a bad break with his family. He turns to his ex who is always goes back to when he needs someone. Diana has forgiven him again and again but is trying to protect her new relationship with a great guy. She can't seem to help herself. Dominic is the biggest mess of all the brothers and you would think most women would keep their distance.
You really have to keep a scorecard with these brothers to keep track of all their lovers and their bad behaviors.
It definitely packs heat but in the end it is hard for me to like the characters. The story does keep your attention.
In this third book in the Love Family saga, we get to hear Dominic’s story….As usual, Liz Crowe has written an emotionally complicted story, with characters who are full of passion and heartaches, and who face difficult real-life issues.
Have you ever known someone who, no matter how hard they tried, just couldn’t get it right, or catch a break? Yeah, that is Dominic Love.
Dominic, ah Dominic – my favorite Love brother! He is so complex and has had so many issues to deal with in his life, it’s a wonder he made it at all. Dom was diagnosed with mental issues in high school; he had to deal with that plus his bisexuality without familial support except for his mother. Throw in Diana, his off and on girlfriend who loves him completely, the out-of wedlock child with his ex that he hasn’t ever seen, and Kent – the true love of his life – leaving him,,,,, well, it’s no wonder Dom couldn’t cope.
Dom is a long-haired, tattooed, hard-drinking, womanizing bad boy… and you can’t help but adore him, and hope he’ll make it in the end. I urge you to see this story through to the compelling end… you won’t be sorry!
I was privileged to receive an early reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.
This was very different from the books I've read. Typically the format is guy meets girl. Instalove ignites.
Liz Crowe gives us a story where the characters are much more involved and so much more broken. When I say broken, I don't mean the abused past or running from the mob. This form of broken is very simple but so much more involved in the characters' personalities.
First off, we have Diana Brantley. A farm girl who loves to hunt and rides her horse and cooks amazing food for her sister's deli/catering business. And for as long as she can remember, she's been in love with Dominic Love.
Dominic Love is the black sheep of the Love family. He's always been the one to jump without looking, making rash decisions and never thinking about the consequences. This fault leads him to make a mess of his life. And a lot of his mistakes were with Diana.
Years of pain and constant broken hearts fill the pages of this story. Giving an emotionally heart felt story of two people learning to love, let go, move on, and grow up. While reading Love Brewing, I shed tears of sadness and tears of joy for the characters in the story.
A brand new, real life series by Ms. Crowe! Ordinary, every day life's trials and triumphs. With it's rural setting, it could take place anywhere. It is easy to imagine Dominic Love, the Love family black sheep and the clashes he endures with his father. He has real life demons he's still coming to terms with. Dom's a hot mess, complicated and yet charming. Dominic's a bad boy with one story his father cannot accept. Diana's his friend, his girlfriend. She's never been able to get him completely out of her system...no matter how hard she tries. The twists and turns of these two make you wonder if these two will ever get their acts together and get together! The book is full of drama, but isn't real life? An excellent book, be ready for a bumpy ride...just like real life. Well worth the read. Great characters, plots and as has been said. . .real life.
This book is Dominic Love's story, the troubled Love, as a kid he acted out and as an adult, he is full of tats and piercings-grown-up acting out! He did follow into the family brewing business. A rebel bad-boy who wanted his father's approval until his father found out he had a romantic relationship with a man( Cara's fiancee). This is when Liz's twists, turns and surprises come into play. He says he's not gay, maybe bisexual, maybe straight. Who knows? Read the book to find out!! This is way to complex to explain without rewriting the book and with many spoilers. We meet Diana, Dominic's on/off girlfriend/playmate growing up. How does she fit in to the mix? Will he end up with the guy or the girl?I was given given a copy of this book for an honest review from DRC's Promotions review team.
