As the wolf senior enforcer, Torin Fisher’s job is to protect the pack and each of its members. That includes the beautiful submissive wolf, Cora Rivers. He’s known for a while she belongs to him, but he decided to wait for her to come to him willingly. Since her brother’s death, he’s watched her withdraw from the Pack little by little. Tired of sitting by watching her suffocate her wolf, he decides the time has come to claim her.
Cora Rivers is no stranger to pain. Just as she comes out of her mourning over her parents’ brutal murder, her brother—and best friend—suffers the same horrifying death. Grief cripples her and in attempt to learn to be independent, she inadvertently stifles her wolf by not letting her out to run on a regular basis. When Torin Fisher, begins the mating dance, her only choice is to run.
Together they have a chance to not only release her wolf, but find the connection and future they both deserve.

A very sweet enjoyable and entertaining short story. My only issue was that I wasn't expecting it to be so short. But I did like them as a couple it was sweet and they had great chemistry. Overall a good read. Look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Torin is an enforcer for the pack he is a strong wolf who knows the submissive Cora his deceased friend's sister is his mate. He must tread lightly as she has lost both parents and her brother to the rogues and in her grief and fear she has also lost touch with her wolf, but Cora's wolf does respond to her mate. This is their story how Keegan builds her up by giving her a job in the field she has trained for while telling Torin to go softly.

I loved how this story unfolded and bringing someone exceedingly dominant with soeone very submissive just shows how opposites attract.

I voluntarily chose to read a complimentary copy and have not been compensated in any way for tthis opinion.

This is book seven of the Shifters of Ashwood Falls series and the fated mates in this story are senior enforcer and wolf shifter, Torin Fisher, and submissive wolf shifter Cora Rivers. Cora has withdrawn from the pack somewhat after her parents were killed a few years ago, and her wolf decided to hide away. She hasn’t shifter since her parents died and her only brother Jason being killed defending the pack just a few months ago, has put her over the edge. Torin knew that she was his mate years ago, but had left her to grieve over her parents and then her brother. He can sense that her wolf is being suffocated and that she would let her die, something he isn’t willing to allow. The techy guys in the pack are trying to set up better wards and security around the pack, to keep everyone safe and know when any enemies are on the edges of their lands, or coming for them. Cora has a degree in project management and software development and she started spouting out some ideas on how they could improve things and Torin sees this as a perfect opportunity to get her involved in something and feel worthy. Torin even manages to get her to shift and they start the mating dance, but their mating bond doesn’t click into place like they both expected. It will take a few others talking about their mating bonds and even the difficulties they had at the start of this journey, to even make sense of it all and to understand that each mating bond kicks in when it needs to and not before. This is only a short filler story about their bond and not much more, but still gets their feelings across. I received an ARC copy of this book and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Touch of Desire is the seventh book in The Ashwood Falls series. This book follows the story of Cora and Torin. Cora has listed not only her parents, but her brother Jason. These losses has her wolf retreating to the point where Cora couldn’t shift. Rodin has known since Cora turned 18, that she’s his mate. However, he doesn’t tell her this because she is still dealing with the grief of her biological family being gone. This is all the details I’m going to give because I don’t want to spoil the story further. I would highly recommend this book to other readers.

This is Cora and Torin's book. We were just introduced to Cora in the last book. They both knew that they were mates but Cora wasn't ready because at first she was too young. Then she lost family members. But she is a submissive and her wolf is dying unless she gets help.
Torin's is willing to do anything it takes to heal Cora and make her his.
Again this is a short story and this one didn't suck me in like the others. I couldn't connect with the main characters as well as I have the others.

Cora has dealt with much loss. She's scared to live and love, but Torin has other plans.

Torin knew Cora was his mate since she was 18, but the timing was awful. She lost her parents then recently her brother to those horrible mutants. Torin was a strong dominant, he didn't want to scare her. She knew they were !want to be together. Her wolf was scared and withdrew deep in her mind, but liked when Torin was around. Cora just needed the inner strength to meet him halfway.

Torin knew that Cora was his mate since she was eighteen but didn’t know that she knew it too. Her family had just been killed by mutants and wasn’t ready then her brother was killed too so her wolf decided it had nothing to live for then. But Keegan her old alpha got her a job working with Torin to see if he could get her wolf back. Good book!.

Cora has had a lot of loss in her life and her wolf has been quiet ever since. Her parents were killed by mutants and she recently lost her brother too. Torin has known Cora was his mate for a while but he's waiting for her to come to him when she's ready. This novella is a quick read but it's a sweet fated mates romance with likable characters, heartbreak, a mating dance, and a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A touching story about a young woman who feels she has lost everything learning to trust in her pack family and her mate. Clara has known she’s Torin’s mate but is scared to commit, while Torin is willing to wait until she’s ready.

Cora’s story was heartbreaking. She has lost her parents to rogue attacks and her brother. That was the only family she had and now she can’t connect to her wolf. Torin is her mate, and a dominant wolf to her submissive. Can Torin bring Cora‘s wolf back from the brink of despair with his love?

Torin Fisher, an enforcer for the wolf pack is taking his protective literally to heart when it comes to a certain beautiful submissive she-wolf named Cora Rivers. Knowing the tough, sexy handsome wolf is her mate doesn't make it any easier for Cora. Having lost her entire family to rogues has caused her wolf to hide away. Can Torin bring her wolf back from the brink of despair and help her to find love, happiness and trust back into her life?

I so love this awesome series!

I love the Ashwood Falls series and I loved this added glimpse.

Cora is suffering from nightmares of being chased by and caught by Mutants (half human/half shifter beings), in the same way her parents and more recently her brother had ultimately met their deaths. On top of all this her wolf has withdrawn and she cannot shift.

With the help of her former Alpha she gets a job, designing the new security that would encompass the Ashwood Falls and MoonRiver dens.

In her new position she must work with Torin, a dominant male who knows she is his mate. He has been very patient so she can work through her grief but knows he must make a move.

A favorite passage in this book is when Cora is getting ready for a date with Torin.
Cora picked at her water bottle. “I can stay….”

“No way. You’re not getting out of it that easy. It’s about time you gave into Torin. I mean, the male has been chasing you for the last few months.” Jasmine tried to hide her smile behind the bottle. She failed terribly when it came to teasing Cora about Torin.

“Well he isn’t leaving much room for me to run anymore. Working on the security system means also working with him.” She sighed and leaned against the counter. “I don’t know how to handle him. He’s so much male and dominant.”

Jasmine laughed. “You don’t handle a male like Torin. You tease, love, and bite him.”

This book is well written with laughter, angst, tears and fear. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I so dearly love each and every one that is added to this series. Meeting and learning more about the characters and how they fit into the pack is interesting and a joy to read. This pack has its share of troubles but it also strengthens and makes for a closer tight nit pack. In this novella you get to indulge into the relationship that will grow between Torin and Cora. Torin has always know she was his but past events have had to test his patience. Cora is no stranger to tragedy but she is letting it take her over per say and also damage her wolf. When she is brought into the loop on needing a new security layout she is given the job with her own team. That means also working closely with Torin. That will also be how the start of her mending and them finding their path together. This author gives a clear, vivid journey with them that is also filled with passion that you actually would want to find in any relationship. So as the reader goes with them on this journey you will find out if as they also get to know one another better and intimately will it be enough for them. Can't take away all the joy of reading so that will have answers will have to be found by diving in.

The mating dance has begun, but Torin must wait for Cora to heal from her losses before he can claim her in this captivating Ashwood Falls romance.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot captures the heart and reaffirms that love can heal all wounds. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and the strong charming characters grab the reader’s attention and draw them deeper into the story.

The mating heat has definitely began between Torin and Cora but her wolf’s is having some issues and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the hot and steamy mating dance between these two as Torin’s will have to use patience and his dominance to coax her to come out and play.

This short and enjoyable romance grips the heart, has some spine tingling excitement and of course the loveable Ashwood Falls shifter to keep the reader well entertained. I only wish it had been longer I hate when the story is over…oh well I’ll just have to impatiently wait for the next one.

I was lucky enough to get an A.R.C. of this ,but that does not colour my review in any way.

This story stands alone well but definitely tempts me to get the rest of the series. Ashwood and Moonriver packs are pulling their lives back together after a destructive attack. The Jaguars and Wolves working hard to put defenses in place and re-build. Cora has lost her whole family and her wolf is terrified and hiding deep inside her. As a submissive Cora finds it hard to cope, or ask for help. She has known for ages that Torin is her Mate, but he is a strong dominant enforcer. He deserves better than a broken wolf. Torin needs Cora as his Mate but knows how scared she is. He has to make her strong enough to take her place by his side. The pack still face danger from outside. A very emotional and beautiful love story. The characters are fabulous. Sexy shifters are always fun. I will be getting the series.

Overall Impression

4*/2*- Ok don’t be mad. I reserve the right to change this once I read the rest of the series, which is why they’re two rankings. I never give out spoilers so i’ll explain my ranking. First this book definitely deserves a 4*. It is a great book filled with many emotions you get to experience along with the characters. It also makes me kick myself for not reading the previos books. That brings me to the two stars. I definitely feel to get the full experience you need to read the other books in the series first to completely understand what has previously happened. With that being said. This book in itself was amazingly written and I loved it and has me panting to go read the rest of the series

This was a short novella about Cora and Torin's mating. Cora's known a lot of tragedy and her wolf's dying. Torin's her mate and they've both known since she turned 18 but he gave her space with everything he's going through with losing her brother recently. Cora's let it go on too long considering she's not shifted since her parents were killed a few years back. She finally came to the realization that Torin can help her wolf because she does respond to him a little. Torin gets things going with the mating dance without really pushing her too hard. It indeed worked. So, this isn't the last in the series but just enough for a snip it here and there with whats happening after book 3. So, I'll get book 5 read soon. I can tell things are going to get pretty serious soon and with trying to rebuild and at the loss of many of their packs its gonna be a wild ride!

Can he stop her desire to run?

Quick novella in the Ashwood series. This story helps build confidence and deal with past tragedy. Nothing like Spring to help everyone start over. And now a bit about the story...

We've met Cora and Torin before and know they are mates, but so far Cora is timid and keeps running from him. Even though Keegan is no longer alpha, he knows his pack. While calming Cora he hopes to give her a job that will bring her back to the pack. Will it be enough or will her desire to run win?

Favorite passage: She needs to heal and become independent. If you push her, she'll run.

(ARC given for an honest review)
I really enjoyed the latest novella in the Ashwood Falls series. Cora is a submissive wolf trying to come to terms with her parents death a few years ago and recently, her brothers death. She is so mired in her grief she starts to lose her wolf. Torin is a very alpha Senior Enforcer who knows Cora is his mate but doesn't want to pressure her. How these two get together and work out Cora's issues makes for a very enjoyable story.

I can't wait until the next book in this series.
