Nothing makes my little dark and twisted heart go pitter-patter more than reading a Lily White book. Her Master’s Teacher is a stunning combination of a student/teacher premise with taboo and captivity themes that lends itself to some serious introspection for all readers. As much as I loved the chilling and brutal mindfuck this book had to offer, sadly it is not a book that everyone is suited to read so my warning: those looking for a progressive romance within this dark read are going to be disappointed.

********************************

Level-headed thirty-five year old Claire Elliot is a psychology professor. She maintains professional boundaries with all her students and colleagues but can’t deny that one particular student – twenty-one year old Holland Strong – piques her curiosity with his dangerously good looks and pensive stares. Unknown to her, Holland is the youngest Master-in-training within an influential society of men and targets her as his next Courtesan to be trained – her beauty only adds to her appeal. But most importantly, it is Claire’s intellect and wisdom that intrigues Holland and as a lover of challenges, he sees Claire as the greatest challenge of all.

description

As his plan unfolds without a hitch, Holland soon realizes that Claire is every much of a player in his game of seduction, domination, and control as he is, and with unforgettable and ruthless side characters like Aiden from book 1 playing an active role, the book is filled with twists and turns, making it impossible to figure out what happens next in this mind-bending story.

********************************

First, this book was very, very different from book one but I loved them equally. Aiden & Rebecca’s story left no room for romance or soft-hearted feelings, nor did any of the characters feel remorse and regret over their actions. This book had just a tinge of emotion mixed in with the dark stuff, enough that it satisfied the romantic in me but I still have to say, always expect the worst when reading a Lily White book.

description

It’s important to remember that Lily will always stay true to her characters no matter what happens and is consistent with their behaviors – it’s a quality that many dark books lack as usually the anti-hero suddenly goes soft or the heroine is described as tough but acts like a baby. And just like the first book, this second one tapped deep into my own psyche and made me question my sanity...

Her Master’s Teacher is book 2 in the Masters series and while it focuses on the dynamic between Holland and Claire, I am strongly emphasizing that this is not a standalone. The backstory along with the heavy presence of previous characters from book 1 can only be fully understood if you’ve read Her Master’s Courtesan.

I beta read an advanced copy of the book.

Okay so I haven't actually finished writing my review for this book yet. It's not an easy book to review, not because it was bad but because it was so complex and had so many dimensions to it. Whenever you read a book by Lily White, you can always expect something completely different and she did it again with Her Master's Teacher.

It's Dark Erotica, but it's not as simple as that. It's so much more than just dark, the dark genre has grown so much and as a reader I've started taking how dark a book can be for granted. The more gruesome the more shocking has always been what gets me going. But after reading a great deal of books from this genre, it started becoming mundane. The story would become lost behind a bunch of shock factor tactics and by the end of it you don't have a story you have a bunch of shocking scenes.

Now don't get me wrong, this is not for the faint of heart, trust me. Her Master's Teacher is a dark book but Lily took Dark fiction, erotica, angst, drama , romance and mystery and gave us what every reader is looking for when they choose a book to read. Entertainment. It's all here people.

Are you looking for a Dark read? Well then, here you go!
But you'd better prepare yourself for way more than that!

*************************************************

Let me say that this book this book is vastly different from Her Master's Courtesan, apart from the fact that it brings two new characters, Holland and Claire, there's so much more. The scenario itself is a taboo and dark lovers wet dream. We have a younger lead male character and an older lead female character, this made for a very interesting read.

Holland, is a man's man, he's arrogant, a charmer, intelligent and he has the looks to go with it. But right under that outer shell is a man who is much more sinister, more seductive, he isn't afraid to use the same things that has every woman swooning to trap and ensnare the one woman who has caught his particular interest, Claire, who also happens to be his psychology professor.

Physically, Holland Strong was built for seduction. Mentally, however, he was without morality or humanity. He was a monster disguised by pretty wrapping. A man who would take what he wanted and cause you to love him while doing so.

I honestly wish I could give you a cheat sheet for this book lol! But that would take away from your enjoyment, so all I can say is pay very close attention to everything that happens in this book!

Does that help?
No?
I didn't think it would! *grins*

Now apart from the fact that Claire is a college professor, she's also a psychologist... It's a completely different dynamic, like I said! I'd tell you to forget about Her Master's Courtesan when you started reading this book, but no don't do that but don't expect a repeat performance. Claire and Hollands's relationship was so different to what you'd expect of a captive and her captor... I can't explain it.

In the comfort I felt being held by him. I realized right then that I hadn't been careful. I'd allowed myself to forget his part in this. I'd let down my guard and found peace in a man who'd hurt me.

How do you review a book like this without spoiling?

You know what that's all you're gonna get from me, because quite honestly I have no idea what to say aside from.
1. If you read Her Master's Courtesan, then you have to read this book.
2. If you haven't read this series then get to it!
3. If you're a lover of great writing and an amazing plot that keeps you guessing right till the end then read this series!

But.

4.Do proceed with caution. If you've heard people talk about how dark Lily White's work is, believe the hype. The awesomeness is pretty potent with this one!

5++ MY BRAIN IS CRYING STARS!! ★★★★★++

"She believes she knows everything about how the mind works and I believe I can prove her wrong."

I can't remember the last time I hyperventilated like a crazy woman, let alone acting this way over a book. But ladies, I swear over my dead hamster's body that THIS BOOK IS FUCKING BRILLIANT ON SO MANY LEVELS.

I couldn't stop shaking once I put it down and then I questioned my sanity for a good 5 minutes before I started running to Lily White herself and spazzed all over her (God she was so freakin humble!!). The first thing I asked her was if she secretly had a PhD in psychology which she humbly said no. BUT HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?! Well, lemme tell you Lily:

Okay I'll try my best to sound as coherent as I can possibly be in my review as I have a plane to catch in a few hours time and I just can't leave GR without posting a review on this one! So please bear with me ;)

*******

This time around, Her Master's Teacher centers around Holland Strong. At 21 years old, he's one of the youngest Master in-training within their society of wealthy and influential men. The target of his choice is his psychology professor who is the 31-year old Claire Elliot. Having both beauty and brains, Holland sees Claire as one of his greatest challenge yet.

In a game of seduction and domination that pushes all boundaries in terms of psychically, sexually and emotionally; the question is ultimately who is the student and who is the teacher.

*******

If you've ever read Lily White's writing before, then you should be well prepared that her books are NOT for the faint-hearted. I expected nothing less from this brilliant woman after putting down Her Master's Courtesan and I thought just MAYBE that this one will leave the same effect on me as it did for HMC.

But how terribly wrong I was. So SO wrong.

This book blew everything I thought I expected out of the freakin water. I feel like it's important to tell you that this one was so VERY different than the first book.

Yes, the darkness is still there which will make you cringe & squirm.
Yes, the erotica is still off-the-charts hot.
Yes, Aiden is still a fucking crazy bastard.

But Book 2 brought the psychological element to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL; whatnot with Claire being an expert on the subject itself. The mindfuck we're dealing with throughout isn't the usual "explosive wtf just happened" mindfuck but it's more of a literal "I am thoroughly fucking your mind right now with my words and actions" mindfuck.

Who am I kidding though right? Put a bunch of psycho-experts under the same roof, of course it's gonna be an ultimate mindfuck.

*******

I would love to say more about this book but doing so might spoil the experience for you. And trust me, this is another book that you just have to go in blindly and take it for what it is. I'm not gonna lie that I struggled a little at the beginning because honestly I had NO IDEA what I was getting into. It really brought on a different set of feels than what I felt during Book 1 & that threw me off a little.

But you know what? That was exactly what made the book worked for me. To expect the unexpected is an understatement here. Lily White will throw you into an intricate web of thoughts which made this read so brilliantly complex that definitely questioned my sanity by the end of it all.

Before I leave, take my word for it. READ THIS BOOK. In fact if you haven't read the first one, READ IT LIKE YOU NEED TO. JUST READ IT PEOPLE. But this goes without saying that PLEASE ENTER WITH CAUTION.

Genre: Dark Erotic Suspense
Type: Book 3 of Masters series
POV: First Person – Dual
Rating:

To everyone else Holland Strong was just a popular student. But to those in the know, he was an underground prodigy. As the youngest Master in training under the tutelage of the best Master, he had a reputation to uphold especially that he chose someone that proved to be difficult to train.

Claire Elliot was a psychology professor. Having knowledge of human behavior, she thought she was prepared to survive when she was taken. But when she's thrown into the situation, theoretical knowledge didn't hold value and she must learn to submit in order to get out alive.

I love the first book and was hoping this one would deliver. Even though it wasn't as dark, I was pleasantly surprised by some of the elements in the book.

She believes she knows everything about how the mind works and I believe I can prove her wrong.

Being young, Holland had that playful cocky persona that I like. But when it came to business, he knew to perform with what's expected of him.

Claire was in a unique position. Her knowledge of human psyche could actually make her situation more difficult because she had to fight with her instinct.

He was breaking me as much as he was breaking her and he knew it.

This book is certainly not what I expected, and that is a good thing. The most interesting element in the story is the dynamics between the characters. I like how both of them were in training, so both of them were in transition, still learning their limits and what works best.

The gasps that echoed in the room were quickly followed by a confused silence as we all attempted to realize what it was we saw.

The story was more psychologically dark compared to previous book, but there were still some cringe worthy moments. One of my favorite scenes was the one with the male courtesan. Very interesting... lol!

But it was my life’s mission to understand the thoughts and actions of the worst types of people in our society.

Her Master's Teacher is a story of adaptation and manipulation. It would appeal to readers looking for unconventional dark story.

* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
I read Her Master's Courtesan in February of this year. I clearly declared I was not a dark reader but was compelled to read it due to all of my pals singing the praises of the book and author, Lily White. The read was strong, well written, and captivating.

Well, I still do not gravitate to dark, sex slave, Stockholm Syndrome stories but when I found out this second part in this twisted series was out... I pulled up my big girl panties and dove in.
This did not have the same sense of shock for me; once you have learned of this society and experienced the first book, it would be very hard to top. This took a different approach and it still held my interest and attention.

It is important to note, you must read the first book to understand and receive all the essence of this. We are dealing with the original characters from the first book plus the focus of a new Master in training, Holland.

Holland is young, in college, and in training with the infamous Master Aiden. He has been with him for about 3 years and is almost done... ready to be considered a Master. As he sits in his Psychology class only interested in the way the body of his beautiful professor moves across the floor... his ears pick up with the new assignment she tells the class is going to do... research of the Stockholm Syndrome and its' use in abductions and captive sex slaves. She spouts some of her theories of how the victims may not have had the right mental tools to fight it, etc.

Holland is amused... he throws some odd questions to his professor, Claire... causing her to be on guard... hyper-aware of him...

Claire, who focused on her career and life, has had no time for relationships or anything, really. Holland, a student, is off limits... but she can still look knowing not to touch.

Holland is told by Aiden a request has come in for a beautiful Redhead with a womanly figure. Holland takes a beat and then suggests his teacher... Aiden...questions him... but allows it to pass... They scheme; find out all about Claire and pick their time to take her.... and then do.

Lily While takes the psychology, Stockholm Syndrome arguments and research to weave this tale. She took the obvious, planted it out there, and then used it against the reader keeping them on edge. She worked her magic as an illusionist does with her tricks.... causing readers to look over here while making the foundation for other actions over there.... this is a tricky process and for the majority of the book, I felt she was on course.

She also did a lovely turn on causing us to wonder about Holland. We were directed all over the place so she accomplished her goals. As to Claire, she was primarily strong and fought the process trying to maintain who she was.

We were left with curiosity about another Master.... which means, I will continue to dip my toe in the dark supplied by Lily White.

I would be remiss in not stating this is a book that has a serious warning. It is well deserved and should be heeded. If you are not open to rough sexual actions; violence; capture etc., then this is so not for you and do not pick this series. However, if you are open to experience a psychological, sexual, captive read... then this series is the way to go.

She caught my attention the first day I was seated in her class.

I'd admired her from a distance, never speaking or doing anything to draw attention to myself.

Each day that I spent watching her in this room, I noticed how her eyes would flick up to me. She was weary of me - frightened - and she had reason to be.

Allow me to introduce myself…

My name is Holland Strong and at 21 years old, I'm the youngest Master within a society of wealthy and influential men.

Claire Elliot is my psychology professor in college - that is, at least, until I make her my first courtesan.

She believes she knows everything about how the mind works…

…and I believe I can prove her wrong

My Thoughts
Where do I start?

First of all in my opinion you do need to read Her Masters Courtesan as characters from the first book play a major role in this story,

I honestly loved Holland we try and delve into his mind to see what makes him tick, what he's really about, who he is... Don't be taken in by his smile, his boyish charm...

“Fuck. You are everything I fucking imagined.”

Yes Holland oozes sex appeal...he may only be 21 but he left me flustered at times..

Claire is fantastic, maybe this time the Masters have bitten off more than they can chew...

As most of us who have read or know of Lily Whites books, they are dark.... engrossing and with this particular one I felt apprehensive and intrigued at the same time. They don't always end with a HEA this one certainly blew me away....

I just hope there are more still to come from this series and we get to meet more Masters sometime in the future..

4.5 Totally wiped out and gripping stars

Wow I'm speechless with this book lets just say this story was EVERYTHING and more. I starting reading dark because I read HMC I was gripped to my very core when reading that and have been in anticipation concerning this really I wondered how Lily was going to make this any better or enjoyable as HMC but she did this is a different read for me that maybe because I've come accustomed to Lilys writing but all in all this to me I loved the more nurturing Master that Master Holland is rather than the 'Sadist' Master Aiden IS.

 photo 68562E7F-F1A8-4C86-A58F-1D6877252A2E_zpst79ql39m.jpg

So what's it about

Holland strong is 21 years of age and is being taught how to be a Master by our one and only Master Aiden Ollier, Holland is although being taught how to be a Master within the group that live this lifestyle he has to continue to get his education and in that he's being taught by a striking, sexy, red headed Teacher. This teacher knows everything about behaviour, about psychology and about the mind and that is another charactistic that Holland is attracted to Claire is Hollands Teacher and Claire will become his first Courtessan.

 photo A040A758-E37D-4E11-8E9C-B5798F01AF08_zpsax3gmlni.jpg

Claire is a strong person, a very likeable character and all in all I really enjoyed her strength and her ability to continue to be herself. She is captured like Rebecca was and its Hollands time to Break Claires spirit down to become a sexual courtesan to be used which every way her Master chooses, saying all this Holland methods in my opinion are not as barbaric and gruesome as Aidens are, I found myself actually liking Holland yes at first I wanted to be cross with him from ripping Claires identity away from her butttt I will say he became a much more nurturing Master a more maybe D/s relationship where he wanted to love her and yes he continued to be taught by Aiden in every way but underneath Holland had a caring nature I truly felt that throughout the book.

 photo FF911497-632E-46E7-9D09-BCCDCF6F7330_zpsp4u4ccb4.jpg

I don't really want to give much more away about the plot lets just say this is much more of a MindFuck I believed something and then events occurred and Lily has a way to allure you into that path that's it, I true puzzle. On a side note Aiden and Rebecca have a big part in this story this is as much about them as it is about Holland and Claire and Aidens Sadist ways will continue to come forth but there is always hope isn't there??

All in All this is a fantastic series I really have enjoyed being through the emotions with all of them but this was definitely a great ending bringing it at full circle in a way.

This is part of a series although this is a different couple Aiden and Rebecca are very much in this story so please read Her Masters Courtessan to understand what is happening here.. Here is my review for book 1: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

A recommended read to all dark lovers, BDSM lovers and anyone who loves to read out of the box gripping, thrilling capturing stories.

That is all

OK, so I know that it’s all kinds of wrong and morally objectionable but these Masters series books from Lily White are like literary crack for me. When it comes to dark erotica, these books simply just push all the right buttons – she really does seem to have the combination of taboo erotica and abject horror down to a perfect balance. I definitely don’t agree with sex trafficking, rape or any of the subject matter in the book and, for sure, I wouldn’t want to be abducted from my life at the whim of some rich man to lose all freedom of choice and to serve that man sexually but, heck, does it make for some incredibly compelling reading.

Lily has followed up the highly controversial Her Master’s Courtesan with what can only be described as a darkly twisted and wickedly erotic novel in Her Master’s Teacher. It’s a far more complex novel than it’s predecessor with a plot that will keep you guessing right until the very end. Lily really did a number on me with this one – I constantly thought I had things straight in my head, knew who was controlling who but Lily was regularly turning the plot around when I least expected it. I was getting more and more intrigued and by the time I hit the 60% point, I was quite literally GLUED to my Kindle. It didn’t matter that the clock on my nightstand had slipped past the witching hour, I was going to finish this whatever. I think it’s the hallmark of a perfect match of a book for a reader when you just can’t put the damn thing down and never was that more true for me than when I was finishing this book. The darkened world around me simply melted away – all that remained were the words on the page and the story, living vividly in my imagination.

If you’ve read Her Master’s Courtesan, you’ll be familiar with Aiden – quite possibly the devil incarnate himself. He’s a fully fledged, highly respected Master within the secret society and he is also training Holland Strong, the youngest Master of the group at only 21 and the book begins with a certain amount of familiarity as Holland abducts his psychology college Professor, some 10 years his senior, and takes her to Aiden’s house to begin her ‘training’. Make no mistake – this is ‘training’ in the loosest sense of the word so please heed the warnings that come with this book. This is brutal and controversial but, as I mentioned before, so incredibly compelling.

Clare is the latest ‘Courtesan’ to be procured and we follow, at least at first, a now familiar path with Claire awakening from a drug-induced slumber, bound in Aiden’s freezing cold training room to begin her transformation from free-thinking, independent woman to subservient and obedient Courtesan. BUT, she’s quite possibly going to be the most challenging woman they have ever chosen for the role. As a psychology professor, she’s researched Stockholm Syndrome extensively and is determined to use her knowledge to keep her sanity and integrity – to prevent herself from being broken down. She’s mentally very strong and able to calm herself, think rationally about her situation and is determined not to let these men win – this will be a Battle Royale between Master and reluctant Courtesan.

As Holland learns the ropes. he takes a softer approach than Aiden but just wait for Aiden to step in and dish out his brutal punishments. This man is every bit as dark as he was in the first book and then some! I am actually quite afraid of Aiden – I shudder when I think of him and I think this is what makes Lily white’s Masters books into perfect dark erotica. I’m at once terrified and turned on by what I’m reading – this is exactly what dark erotica should do to the reader.

I don’t want to give too many plot details away, as I said, I was never really sure right until the end of the book quite what was really going down here but you should expect an onslaught of sexual violence, a distinct lack of consent and plenty of mental torture but also one woman, finding strength in the awful situation she finds herself in and choosing to fight. There’s a lot to admire in Claire as she goes head to head with the men who have taken her freedom and a lot to fear in both Aiden and Holland and other equally terrifying Masters that we meet. Rebecca, the Courtesan from the first book, features heavily in this one and it’s fascinating to see how her life is now. If you’ve read that one, this is a must read for sure.

As always the writing is super tight – Lily’s beautiful style always sucks me in and keeps me captivated. If you enjoy a walk on the darker, no possibly darkest, side of erotica and the explicit violence and mental cruelty that goes with it and are looking for an intelligently written yet very taboo piece of erotica, then look no further than this series. As I said earlier, Her Master’s Courtesan was very controversial and subsequently banned by Amazon but it is still available for sale at Smashwords.. I sincerely hope she carries on with this series – can’t wait for more from these devilishly dark Masters.

Dark, twisted and intense, this book left me more than one time with my mouth open. This is without a doubt one of the best dark romance I’ve read so far!

Holland Strong is a 21 years old Master-in-training within an influential society of men. He’s the youngest, but he had the “pleasure” to not only witnessing, but participating too in the systematic breakdown of a human being.

“Physically, Holland Strong was built for seduction. Mentally, however, he was without morality or humanity. He was a monster disguised by pretty wrapping. A man who would take what he wanted and cause you to love him while doing so.”

Claire Elliot is a psychology professor, Holland’s college professor. Claire is attracted to Holland, but she has a strange feeling about him. What she doesn’t know is that she’s so right to feel that way, because Holland’s next target to "create" a courtesan is her. Holland is intrigued by Claire, she’s smart, beautiful and she teaches psychology. He knows she will not be easy to break, but he loves a good challenge.

description

As Holland stoles Claire’s freedom they develop a complex relationship and not only Master-Courtesan relationship.

“I’ll give you one more chance, Claire. Tell me the truth, or suffer the consequences. The choice is yours.”

description

“Her Master’s Teacher” was very different from book 1. If book 1 was more a dark read, this one was more a dark romance. The premise was new for me in this subgenre, dark romance, and I really like it.

I absolutely loved how the author developed the psychological aspect. She’s the best!

I loved both the main characters and I found them really well developed. Holland is handsome, smart, polished, confident, arrogant and despite his age, he is mature and calculated. I really felt for Claire and I really admired her strength!

One of the side characters is Master Aiden. He’s the same crude, manipulative bastard. He can teach the art of manipulation anytime! He will play an important role here, but if you want to know more, you have to read the book.

The last two chapters and the epilogue are amazing! I didn’t know what’s happening next and all the suspense and mystery are so well done. Loved the fact that this book wasn’t predictable at all. I also didn’t expect the twist in the end. WOW, just wow! I liked the ending, I’m happy with it, but I wish the epilogue was a little longer. Can't blame me for wanting more!

Lily is a great storyteller, her writing is captivating and her choice of words to create the mystery is fantastic.

Overall, an amazing read! Loved it!

Highly recommended!

I don't know if I feel upset or relieved that this book was not as dark as Her Master's Courtesan.

description

Anyway, I loved it, it was thrilling, erotic, heartbreaking and most of all addictive, because I just could not put it down. Again, I have to applaud Lily White for writing something so fantastic that seriously messed with my head!

description

It is a dark romance so you must take the warning seriously, because it does include violence.
"Looking at him was like looking into the beautiful face of temptation."

Before you start reading this book, you don't need to know much. Holland Strong is a Master within a secret society of the wealthy man. Claire is a psychology professor in college where Holland is a student. Holland is very much interested in her, and Claire's fear of him makes him want her even more. Claire has studied a lot of minds and she believes she knows how every mind works especially the mind of a criminal, because of that Holland sees her as a challenge and he wants to make her his first courtesan.
"She was like fire and ice, a symbol of innocence torn apart by the streak of wild and reckless heart."

I think this book was a lot more different from the other kidnapping romances I have read, because the heroine theoretically knew what is going to happen and what each action means. It didn't help much, but it was still very interesting to read about. I liked both, Holland and Claire, and how their relationships developed. It was believable and understandable within the situation they were in. But lets face it the star of the book was still Aiden as always. I think I have more highlights about him than anything else. I loved that he did not find his heart suddenly!
"The end goal was his reward and he couldn't care less what he had to do, or who he to do it to, in order to achieve it."

It was fantastic story, and in the end it left me speechless with a huge smile on my face, because that epilogue was epic ♥

To conclude, the writing was terrific, the story was unsettling, characters were great, and ending... Lily White is a genius! I can only hope there will be more books in this series, would love to have one for Master Anthony ♥

This book can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading book 1 first, because the characters from book 1 are very present in this one.

”I am a Master. I manipulate every person, every situation and every thing.”

Lily White delivered a sequel that was as strong as the first book of this series. This was an exciting and mysterious story that was at times disgusting and at times very steamy.

Job well done Lily White, I may have guessed the twists on this one but it still packed a punch.

On a silly note, funny title and cover if Edward ever gets a book…

6 Fucked with my psyche stars!

 photo imagejpg1_zpsf3079516.jpg
"From this moment forward, I will be your teacher."

Under the tutelage of Aiden Oliver, Master of a secret society, 21 year old Holland Strong is learning the ropes on how to break a woman to become the perfect courtesan. When a request comes along to find a woman with red hair and blue eyes, Holland cannot believe his luck. His college teacher fits the description perfectly. But this task may not be as easy as some of the other women who have been trained. She is different. Although he has an attraction to the beautiful woman, he is going to take and mold her.

 photo imagejpg3_zps178517f4.jpg

As a psychology teacher, 31 year old Claire Elliot, knows all about the ins and outs of the human mind. She has a sixth sense to be able to read people. She gets strange vibes from the cocky and sophisticated student in her class. Even though he is attractive, she has a eery feeling about the young Holland.

Needless to say, Holland has the perfect opportunity to capture Claire as Spring Break has arrived. This job will be a new experience for him. Aiden is passing over the reins, and is giving him complete control to train Claire. Even though he respects Aiden, Holland is going to change up the normal process of breaking a courtesan, as he is not as cruel. This woman is stronger than all of the other women, and will take special talent to crush her mind.

"When I agreed to train as a Master, it never occurred to me that I'd have to give up my sympathy and morality in the process."

 photo imagejpg2_zps74fbe221.jpg

"Regardless of everything that he'd done, he was still beautiful. Now, that beauty was made even more striking by the pain I saw in him."

Unfortunately, Holland was wrong, his methods are not working and Aiden needs to step in. He has a hard time witnessing the cruelty from the hands of the seasoned Master. Feelings are forming for this beautiful teacher, and he has other plans to get her to be his.

"I liked when she was angry. I loved the hint of rebellion she showed me while also doing every fucking thing I told her to do. It excited me in ways that no other woman had excited me before."

Wow! Let's be honest here, I am speechless! This was brilliant, and I absolutely adored it. The last 40% of the book gave me heart palpitations, I was so anxious. Her Master's Courtesan had the same affect on me, and I could not put it down. I have no idea where to start, as I was not expecting a lot of the things that occurred, and my mind is still working overtime.

I knew Aiden and Rebecca would be back, but I had no idea the pivotal role that they would play. So yes, if you were expecting just to get just a small taste of Aiden, let me tell you that there's plenty of that sadistic (and sexy as fuck) bastard to get your fill.

How hot is that? Damn!

I loved the direction this one had taken, and was completely surprised. I had some theories while reading this about what was going on, but I honestly had no clue to what was actually taking place. The ending left me in a daze.

I think it's because I've read a lot of crazy books lately that the term "mind fuck" is being used a lot, but there is no other word to describe this. This "brain screw" was such an amazing tale, that I want to shout from the rooftops!

I loved every character, and felt all of the things that they were going through. Yes, as much as Aiden was even more evil in this, I still loved his confidence and asshole ways. Holland was a great complex character as well. At first he had this aura of being an arrogant and fiendish man, but he turned out to have a big heart. A really great hero.

The ending would normally have frustrated me a little, just because I wanted a little more. But I really liked how it ended. I will admit though, I have pretty much NEVER done this while reading a book: I had my suspicions about something that had happened, but I shamelessly had to page through to make sure I was right. Bad reader! I literally could not help myself! ;)

In conclusion, this was the perfect read. If you enjoyed Her Master's Courtesan, I highly recommend this. Lily White does a fantastic job of telling a beautiful, heart pumping, dark, erotic, thrilling, and totally messed up story. I am now a true devoted fan.

4.5 Stars

Claire Elliot is a psychologist and college professor. Upon assigning a research paper on the subject of Stockholm syndrome, Claire sets to take her Spring break vacation in the sun but a certain student has his own method of conducting research for his homework.

“I believe, and this is just my theory, that if a person is able to understand the mechanics of how Stockholm works, a person can take steps to prevent it from occurring within them if they find themselves in an abusive or captive situation.”

Holland Strong is a psychology major but college isn’t his only education, as he is training to be a Master under an ultra secret society of men who are engaged human sex slavery. Upon receiving a new order for a courtesan, Holland sets his sights on his teacher, Ms. Elliot, knowing she will be a challenge to train.

“She was mine to play with for the next month, at least, and I swore to myself that I’d have her in every way possible.”

Upon being abducted, Claire is thrust into a world where submission and service is her only priority. Relying on her experience and knowledge, Claire tries to forge a connection with her captors in the hopes that she can escape their cruelty only to be punished for her tactics. Trying to retain her sense of self becomes difficult with the constant physical and psychological pain and degradation.

“I wanted to be the man who eventually tamed her, but most of all; I wanted the feeling of power that came with owning a woman as beautiful, intelligent and strong as her.”

Though Claire is Holland’s courtesan in training, he is not a full-fledged Master and must adhere to the rules and methods employed by his trainer, Aiden Oliver - the most revered Master within the society. Under Aiden’s tutelage, Holland feels compelled to please his teacher but his naivety leads to further unexpected complications compounded by his feelings for Claire. With Aiden’s ominous and far-reaching control, Claire’s training takes to new levels of manipulation with broad sweeping consequences.

“To me, he was the epitome of evil. In that regard, however, he was the example of what a Master strives to become: no morality, no pity and no empathy for the people he trained, both Courtesans and other Masters.”

As this story unfolds, it is tense and grim from the beginning because Claire’s fate is so bleak and at times it becomes a question of how bad it’s going to get rather than wondering if she is going to escape. Reading how Claire’s psyche is eroded is disturbing but also darkly intriguing how she chooses to combat her circumstance. I admired Claire’s strength during such abuse and her emotions were palpable. Plus, her relationship with Holland provided for an interesting dynamic with their teaching roles reversing at times.

“This wasn’t a life that I would have expected for myself, but like any living creature that was intent on survival, I learned to adapt.”

Getting back to Aiden. He is sadistic, arrogant, predatory and quite the antagonist. His role in His Master’s Teacher is critical and his character in this series remains uncompromised. Upon realizing Aiden’s role in this book, I knew my limits would be tested again and this time I was able to appreciate his unwavering evilness as a true villain.

In Her Master’s Teacher, Lily White successfully writes about a world where immorality and corruption rule and she isn’t afraid to make her readers cringe at times. Told in dual POV, the narrative enables the reader to feel a spectrum of emotions and really understand the psychological and corporeal components these characters endure.

For those who do not have any triggers and thrive in the unknown elements of the darkside, I highly recommend Her Master’s Teacher!

*This was a (F)BR with Twinsie Hawkey! I feel differently about our friend, Aiden. ;P

★★★★4 Stars★★★★

Not going to lie, I wasn't too sure if I was going to like this one due to the unconventional ending of book 1, but I ended up loving it.

Claire Elliot is a 31 year old psychology professor and from the word go, 21 year old Holland Strong knows that he wants to own her. He is one of the Society's Masters in training, a very prestigious role within his dark and disturbing world. He is being taught by Aiden who is the lead in Book 1.

I don't want to go into the storyline but let me just say that it's just as hard to stomach as the first one, but with moments of pure hope and I really, really liked Holland. If you like a dark read, Lily White tells an amazing story that you don't want to put down, even though the content is horrific.

Highly recommended :D

Omg. What a ride! I'd give the book 4.5 stars but because that ending completely blew my mind, I'll happily round up!

Her Master's Teacher, second installment in the Master's series, is the story of Claire and Holland.

Claire Elliott is an expert at all things 'the mind,' but something about Holland throws her off in class. His intensity...his ability to make her on edge. When he starts to question her extensive knowledge in all things Stockholm Syndrome, she's really unsettled, yet still attracted to this student ten years her junior.

 photo DA1CE47E-22C0-499F-A141-44A891FB14B6_zpsevalytfv.jpg

It doesn't take much planning to arrange her abduction. He is, after all, a trained Master. Holland prefers a softer approach to that of which Aiden inflicts on his Pets. But will she break? She's educated, knows the human mind...how much will it take to officially break her into his slave?

*****************
First of all, try to go into this book somewhat blind. I read two reviews...Christine and Elaine...both, thankfully spoiler-free. Don't spoil the ride.

When I noticed Lily White had a new installment to the Master's series, I was seriously giddy. Then I read those two reviews and knew a dark challenge was ahead. Shit! More Aiden. More torture from a sick society of men that train, torture, and own courtesans...innocent women plucked from this lives as they know it. Will Holland measure up to the brutal, sadistic training Aiden inflicted on Rebecca in his book?

 photo 72B0C9AB-1A85-4C7D-B844-70A95C87A500_zpsktqbdjs7.gif

Let me say, this series is NOT for many erotica readers. It's a whole different level...extremely graphic, torturously descriptive, brutal, erotic, and a total complete MINDFUCK. OMG. Lily White, three words--- HOOK, LINE, SINKER.... I didn't see it coming. At all. You totally screwed with my head and I have to say, not a lot gets past me. For that, you deserve five stars.

Holy shit was Aiden a monster in this book. I put him down in my casting art simply because he plays a decent size role in this book. He is quick to step in and assist in Claire's training. I forgot how much I hated him. Even his current treatment of Rebecca appalled me. Sadist is too mild a word for him.

I LOVED Holland (which makes me a bit...weird). This book is different from My Masters Courtesan. I actually found Holland like-able..and lick-able. I felt like he was as much the victim as anyone in the story. Maybe I've got a bit of Stockholm Syndrome where he's concerned...

 photo 0CB224BE-40E6-4511-A82B-8EFA490776B6_zpsd1ilwmsp.jpg

If you're a fan of the darker side of erotica, give Lily White a try. I was scared at first but quickly found, no matter how graphic the subject matter, she sucks you in, has you turning the pages at record speed, and always leaves you with an ending you did not see coming. Not by a long shot.

Looking forward to more Masters! I want Anthony's book. How he can be brutal will be the question since he seems like a really nice...Master.

And I thank you!

Review to come....need to process this first... :) This is my first Lily White book and I am several books deep into the Dark Romances.....I was shocked, I was horrified, I was angry, I was confused, I was repulsed, and the whole time extremely on edge. I LOVED THIS BOOK. It is a twisted story both in content and plot and I was always trying to guess what was next. The writing is excellent, the descriptions of acts were both graphic and very intense and very arousing. I have not read the first book in this series but reading previous reviews I found it wasn't necessary. This goes in the highly recommended, I loved it category. I will be reading more by this author. Now I have to go read something lighter :) oh and take a shower Edward was so fucking gross!!!

*****5 Heart stoppingly sadistic stars!*****

"She used her natural talents to adorn the success, wealth and status he'd attained. She was not just a slave to his desires, but and acquisition that was adored. Once the courtesan learned that fact, she was set free in her sexuality."

I need to catch my breath after this one!

*takes several deep breaths*

Okay. I'm fine.

Ummm... wait. Maybe not.

This book is just one giant mindfuck!

Just when I thought I had every thing figured out, nope, not even close. This book has more twists and turns than a... twisty turny thing!

Claire

"Life was a cruel thing and no matter what you plan, it doesn't always turn out the way you expected in he end. I'd been careful in life. Almost too careful and it felt like I'd wasted so much time working towards something that would eventually have no meaning. I should have been out with friends. I should have been falling in love. I should have been doing the things I would never have the opportunity to do since I'd been thrown into this room, left to wither away like a dying flower."

Claire is a psychology professor. I liked her, felt a connection to her, and I sympathized with her. Truly. I felt her fear and hopelessness. I didn't like the cocky little snot that sat in her classroom day after day. But... then as time and story moved on, I started looking for him, wanting him to look at her, pay attention to her. Then in the worst way possible.. he did. He takes her from her life.

Holland

"My name is Holland Strong and at 21 years old, I'm the youngest man training to be a Master within a scoiety of wealthy and influential men. My training began early and I'm considered a potential savant within the society."

It was a particular lecture that Claire gives in her class, in which Holland is a student, that gets his attention. A lecture on Stockholm Syndrome.

Claire particularly gets Holland's attention when she gives her theory of Stockholm Syndrome.

"If a person is able to understand the mechanics of how Stockholm works, a person can take steps to prevent it from occurring within them if they find themselves in an abusive or captive situation."

This definitely gets Holland's attention!

Ahhh... and we have Aiden

Aiden hasn't lost any of his bite from the first book. And I love that about him. He is definitely a character I love to hate! Aiden is Holland's Mentor. The man responsible for teaching Holland how to become, and be, a Master in the exclusive society.

Aiden was true to form in this book to be sure. And I was happy that he was (also) a main character in this book. A driving force.

While i loved Her Master's Teacher, i still think Her Master's Courtesan, was my favorite of the two. This one was just awesome in a different way. I think i enjoyed the first one more because there was more Aiden in it.. yes, i admit it.. i'm a little Stockholmy for Aiden. Don't judge me! :D

The "pear of anguish" that Aiden used on Claire.. The description made me shudder and i could actually picture it being used. I love that about Lily White's writing in this series!

Rebecca makes an appearance in this book too, but she's basically just in and out of the room, under the desk, eating out of her dog bowl. She does play an important part in the story, but we just don't see as much of her as we do Aiden. But we do still see the love she has for her Master... and the care that her Master gives to her in the only way that Aiden is capable of.

This book was a complete and total mindfuck. From page one right until the last page. Every time I thought I had something figured it out it took a hard left and proved me wrong, and things I didn't see coming caused me to re-read a part just to be sure I'd just read what I thought I'd read! The way Ms. White took everything you thought you'd read, cut it up in tiny little pieces and tossed it in the wind, that's the kind of things i love and what took this book to a complete and solid 5 star read for me!

I'm really hoping we'll see more of the Master's Series in the future.. and I hope that Aiden is still the teacher of the Masters!

ARC Received for an Honest Review ~

I have been waiting a very long time for the second book in the Master's Series, and Lily has not disappointed me.

Her Master's Teacher ~ We get to see more of Rebecca & Master Aiden along with Master Holland, a young charming sweet Master in training.

Master Holland picks his first Courtesan to train but chooses his psychology professor who believes she understands all the tricks they use to break her down and believes she can out smart them, however they are The Master's and will not be beaten at their own game.

This second book had me gripped until the very last page, I thought the story was going one way and then bang it turned 180 degrees to a place I never saw coming.

Her Master's Teacher was very well written, flowed brilliantly, contain the right amount of erotica and the perfect level of darkness and despair.

Like most of Lily White's book Her Master's Teacher comes with a warning, please take note of this and only read if you are prepared to enter the tunnel of darkness.

Allegedly Holland Strong is the youngest master-in-training. His training started at 18. At 21 he is going through the process of learning how to procure orders, research targets, obtaining women and training them to be courtesans. The story tells us that not every person in the business is like him - each of them have their own style, their own flair of power and prestige. Holland Strong uses his youthful looks and dimpled smiles to lure, and enrapture but we shouldn't let him fool us because his personality is anything but.

So, before you get into this book don’t be fooled into thinking that this is a typical student/professor romance. It's not.

From the minute Claire lays eyes on Holland she knows and feels something is off. She is attracted to him and he is very attracted to her. She is intelligent, good looking and knows a thing or two about the brain (yep she is a Professor of Psychology) and the human psyche and he is Master Aiden's protege (remember that sadistic bastard from book 1/)

He is Master Aiden’s protégé (remember that sadistic bastard from book 1?)

His target is of course Claire Elliot who is his psychology professor and ten years his senior.

His challenge? To suck her in and train her as his first Courtesan for the “Society”.

Lily White states that his journey would be a test of intellectual superiority and his Professor is his ultimate challenge……and this is where I began to question the plot.

As a professor of psychology, she believes that (her theory) Stockholm Syndrome is a defence mechanism - a way for the victim of abuse to protect their own ego against the wrong they have suffered and if that person is able to understand the mechanics of how Stockholm works they can take steps to prevent it happening when they find them in an abusive captive situation. Of course, to understand it you have to put yourself in the situation but Claire didn’t count on Master Aiden.

Aiden and Rebecca (his “Courtesan”) are featured also in this book. If like me, you absooooooluuuuuutely despised Aiden in the first book well you will despise him even more in this one. Nope could not feel one iota of love for that sadist bast**d and what he continues to do Rebecca well no words to describe that on here!

Holland now that was a different matter. I actually felt something for him.

In true Lily White fashion, she has produced yet another story about manipulation but take heed of her warning, there is rape, degradation, violence and murder and scenes that some of you will find disturbing.

There are a lot of twists and turns and you will end us asking who was teaching who? The Epilogue will spell it out.

For me, just another story and a just another theme that has been overdone and I have become bored with. I get nothing different.

ARC received for an Honest Review

I have read Her Master's Courtesan more than five times.......I loved it that much. I didn't think I could love a second book in a series more....but Lily has outdone herself. You never know what you will get when characters in a first book are continued into a second, but Master Aiden and Rebecca blended in seamlessly. They weren't bystanders, but helped integrate Master Holland and Claire into Her Master's Teacher.

Master Holland is a young, arrogant and self absorbed protege of Master Aiden. An order has come in for a new courtesan and it is up to Holland to train her. He already has his sights on his college psychology professor Claire and will stop at nothing to get her. What you expect is a story line similar to Aiden's and Rebecca's. What you don't expect is the story you get. What you get is a story filled with erotic sex, darkness, pain, love, twists, turns and a WTF just happened ending! It is unbelievable! I could not put it down once I started and didn't put it down until I read the last word. I loved Aiden in the first book, starting hating him in this one and I won't spoil it by telling you how I feel about him now. Having Claire be a psychology professor is a twist within itself as she tries to analyze what has happened to her and how she can get out. Brilliant characterization!

Would I recommend Her Master's Teacher? Absolutely! Is it for everyone? Maybe not due to some of the dark content. But if you are already a Lily White fan, you will fall in love with it immediately and will not be disappointed. Will I read it more than five times? Pfttt....of course!

“‘And when you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you.’” – Friedrich Nietzsche

Here we go again with a visit to dark depraved world of the Master training a Courtesan who has been ordered according to type by a wealthy patron of the super-secret Society. In our story Master Aiden is not only training a new Courtesan, but also a Master-in-training, Holland. Holland knows of the woman made to order for this wealthy patron…his older but very sexy…psychology professor at school, Claire.

Master Aiden recognizes her training will need to be different because of her knowledge of the human psyche. Holland is given Claire to train as a Courtesan with Aiden always in the background observing and stepping in most cruelly if he does not think that Holland is achieving results.

And so, begins the flourishing of an actual love story…a love story between an older woman and younger man…Claire and Holland. As their story develops through the brutal training of a Courtesan and even the brutality in the training of this apprentice Master, there are unexpected twists and turns that leave the reader breathless and guessing at the outcome.

There are games afoot and old scores to settle. As aware and intelligent as Claire is, she falls in love with Holland and wants to save him. Holland is remorseful for having taken her and wishes to get her out of the clutches of the society.

“Holland’s body was like a drug: the way he looked, his smell, his taste.”

”Even in my anger, I still found everything about her to be absolutely breathtaking.”

This is another story that is not for the timid or squeamish. It is a dark story set in a dark reality but so masterfully written. Be prepared for that ever unexpected ending.

Jeez, these are hours in my life I'll never get back! What a waste of time.
IMO it's not even dark, it's just smut. I really, really love dark twisted books and this one did nothing for me.

It's about Holland, 25 and a master in training, who kidnaps his 31 years old college psychology professor, Claire. Holland is being trained by Aiden, a really crazy bastard. Claire is held captive, severely beaten, abused, humiliated and brutally raped by both Aiden and Holland, with the sole purpose to turn her into a object. To become a sex slave. Although it seems Holland is developing deep feelings for her.
But than again, “This isn’t human trafficking…not in the classical sense in which most people understand it at least. Yes, women are bought and sold, but they are a commodity to own”
Of course it's not human trafficking, nah.

I think I would have rated it higher and appreciated it more if it was called what it is: a book about a human trafficking ring selling women as sex slave to depraved men.

Every time I turned a page I was hoping that I finally would come to the part where the book would become this awesome thing, evident to the high ratings it received. But no, let's let's call to stage *drumroll, spotlight* the man with two penises!!! What is this, a freaking circus??? Come on!

After the circus act Claire is given or sold (not clear, probably given since it was part of the training??) to her new considerate owner, Anthony. He treats her kindly but, yeah demands sex, so this kind owner also rapes her.

Anthony was a good Master to choose for the next part of her training. His soft hand and gentle mannerisms were enough to gain her trust while at the same time rebuilding her into exactly who she needed to be. A woman’s psyche is a fragile thing and needs to be handled with care in order to keep from shattering it completely. His home served as a refuge of sorts, a place where she could recover from the trauma I’d inflicted and accept her new life without being broken apart completely.

What a disappointing book! I rated it 1* star extra for author effort!

WoWWW....What I just read?!It was hell lot different from the first book! I thought it might have little same procedure....BUT NO! Lily shocked me again with this book. I have to admit first book is little close to my heart because I loved Aiden and Rebecca and really enjoyed their part n the book. I hope to see them in more next books! As for Holland...I had no idea...I felt for him but oh no ...don't get fooled. The story takes a turn you won't expect. It really is a twisted ,dark raw book which will make you think but you won't find the answer til the end. Loved this book for the great suspense, everything was new and I was never bored. When the supposed courtesan is a psychology teacher who knows abuser's mind...this is what It made it more engaging. I wanted to know how could they break this woman. tell you it didn't disappoint me :)

Review for Her Master’s Teacher by Lily White (ARC provided for HONEST review)

What. The. Hell.
Ohmgee.
Mind Effingly amazing.

I could pretty much leave the review with those few words because it pretty much sums up every last thought in my head in regards to the insanity that is Her Master’s Teacher. Lily White, you my Dark Queen, never cease to turn me into a ball of anxiety. You have perfected the craft of dark mind fuckery in a way that has never been done before. I was one of the lucky few that got to read this before it hits the public and you should all die from jealousy. Seriously.

If you haven’t read Her Master’s Courtesan yet I would suggest you go to Smashwords and grab your copy of this BANNED book so that you can meet Master Aiden and Rebecca as they play a big part of this book. I do firmly believe that you can read Her Master’s Teacher as a stand-alone and not be disappointed in the least, but the first book is ah-mazing and if you love the dark and twisty you shouldn’t miss out.

Holland is in training. He’s going to be a Society Master. He will acquire and train courtesans to be sold. Aiden is his teacher and task master. When the order comes in for a voluptuous red head Holland knows exactly who he wants — Claire.

Claire is a psychologist and his college professor. She is beautiful, intelligent, and everything Holland could ever hope to find in his very own Courtesan. Too bad she’s been bought by another already. Hopefully the training time will be enough to slake his desire to own every piece of the fiery redhead. His professor will prove to be one stubborn courtesan and when Holland’s softer hand seems to fail in breaking her Aiden steps in as her Master.

I have to admit, while I had a bit of the end predicted there were still a few surprises that left me reeling when all was said and done. Aiden is just as sadistic as he was in HMC and the insanity that he put Claire through will haunt my thoughts for a good long while. Holland, while still a deliciously sadistic Master, he had a softer side too. I found myself quickly infatuated with him. His life wasn’t his own to live as he pleased, it was more of a gilded cage in some ways. My heart absolutely broke open for him despite the fact that he enslaved Claire with malevolent intent.

I’m almost embarrassed to admit how freaking hot this book is, when you read it you’ll fully understand why I feel that way, but I love the dark and twisty and this is one of the darkest I’ve read.

Her Master’s Teacher will take you to places you never imagined, it will mind fuck you until you are left raw and bleeding, begging for mercy… there will be none. FIVE hauntingly dark stars and FIVE drenched panties! A certified Mommy’s a Book Whore MUST read now!!

****Given ARC for an honest review****

Please read warning before reading this book so you know what you are in for. If you've read Her Master's Courtesan then get ready for even more of a thrill.

I didn't think anything could win over my love more than Her Master's Courtesan did but WOW!!! Her writing just keeps getting better (if that's even possible). You just don't know how things are going to turn out and anything can happen. There is no safe haven for anyone!
Here we get more of Aiden and Rebecca which I was very excited about and then we get to meet Holland and Claire and I could't have pictured better characters for this book. Even all the other characters she brings to the table each have a unique personality and I want to know more about them. Aiden is still the same, cruel bastard from the first book, if not worse but yet I still can't help but love him. There were times I was so mad at him for his actions that my poor kindle almost needed a new screen! Holland quickly hit my list as a favorite too (in a different way than Aiden) because he is arrogant in trying to make his first Courtesan yet goes a different path with how he is doing things. I'm just gonna stop here because I don't want to give anything away. Just go grab this and get ready for the dark, twisted ride that I'm more than sure everyone will be talking about!!!

4.5 ornamental stars

Holland Strong was a 21 year old psychology student, who had been admiring his professor from the day he set eyes on her. He was also training to be the youngest Master amongst a debauched age old society, who trained and celebrated the use of courtesans, for their beauty and deep pleasure.

Claire Elliott was looking forward to her college break from being a psychology professor. A week at a relaxing retreat…bliss.

But was Claire about to encounter a completely different break, and become a challenge as Holland prepares to mould her as his first trainee?

"He wasn't forced to take me. He'd chosen to do so."

Having lapped up Lily White’s dark, disturbing craftsmanship in the first of this series, I was eager to unroll this one. Given the teacher/student aspect, was a double asset.

Master Aiden, from #1, is at the forefront of this story, having taken on Holland at his stepfather’s request. He is calculated and cold, and is devoid of any morality that we may have peeked at previously.

This is a hard read, no hearts and flowers, but a story I couldn’t put down all the same.
