Purple's War

Being a dragon half breed Avoidable is hard work. One best friend has been kidnapped and the other is in the Perfect prison for bombing the compound. How could I rescue them both?

All my life I've believed that love was useless. I believed that I was useless. Until I became a warrior. The rebels are not what I thought they were. They're trying to unite with the Perfects as much as we are. They're just a bit better at making things happen. Going to their camp was a risk, but I had to find Hope. Not only did I find my best friend, I found a lot more. Friends, family, and could I finally believe in it...love?

{My Thoughts} – In this addition to the series, we get a chance to get to know more about Purple. It begins with him attempting to rescue Hope, but eventually he learns that isn’t needed. That she isn’t being treated poorly and that she is happy with where she is with the Rebel Camp. He also learns that she intends to stay with the Rebels and help them.

Purple seems to be going through an inner battle in this portion of the series. He isn’t sure who he really is on the inside. He isn’t sure what it is that he really wants. He also is learning that it is harder and harder to walk away from certain women because some have the power to put his sense in overdrive and cloud his thought process.

Hope on the other hand is dealing with her own inner battle when it comes to her love life. She isn’t sure who she wants to be with. She isn’t sure what she should believe. She isn’t sure if trusting her heart with the possibility of being hurt in the long run is a wise choice.

The main focus of this portion is to work up towards the trial for Sander. She is another avoidable. She is a member of the Rebel Camp and she apparently bombed a building in the Perfects side of town. It turns out that Purple and Hope are suppose to be on the Jury and it is up to them to sway the jury not to convict. Which considering they are going to be the only two avoidables on the jury. I do believe that they have their work cut out for them.

I can’t wait to read the third part to this story and see what happens!

this is the second book i have read by the author rachel medhurst and she hasnt disappointed. with a great imagination and way with words she weaves a story that is actually very believable to me in our time of prejudice towards those that are 'different'
the second book follows on where the first finished
this book follows purples life and connections and ties things in nicely
again i am left wanting and look forward to the next book
a must read for anyone who likes fantasy novels as well as adventure and something a bit different

I thought this was a great second installment. All he same characters we know were there plus a few new ones to keep it interesting. This one as all action all the time and I liked that. I am also a pretty big fan of Alia, kick ass aura reader.

I think the only thing that keeps this from being 5 star in my mind is how they treat the made up love story. As a overly romantic person, I was not a huge fan of the scorn for the plan to use love as an excuse. I'm sure that was the pint, but it kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

Either way, I'm still excited to read the third and fourth episodes!!

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange or an honest review **

I quite enjoyed this 2nd installment in this little series and cant wait for part 3! This is from Purple the handsome Dragon's point of view...he is Hope's best friend...Purple comes to rescue Hope from the rebels, but finds out she is ok, and runs into his brother Deep....now Deep and Purple are together...get it? lol I think its kinda funny! Anyways...Purple who has always had casual relationships with the ladies finds himself wanting more...and he finds it! Great story!!!

This is part two of a 5 part serial story. Into the rebel camp in the lower side, what is in store for Hope and Purple? Purple and Hope find love, but who can they really trust. How can life be so beautiful? Can the Avoidables and Perfects ever live in harmony? Answers will become clear at the series unfolds. Well written and thoroughly interesting and enjoyable story, leaves you hanging wanting more !

This series just keeps getting better. The story itself is fast paced and the characters are wonderfully engaging, I feel myself getting really pulled in with each of their individual stories as well as the bigger picture which surrounds them all. The world of the avoidables and perfects isn't unlike our own, I think it sends a message across that people judge others too quickly, cliche but the saying is true, "you can't judge a book by it's cover". Cannot wait for serial 3.

A great story of love overcoming differences that one might think could be insurmountable. Rachel is a consistently great author and I'm looking forward to reading Avoidables 3.

Disclaimer: I am the narrator for the Audible/iTunes/Amazon audiobooks for Avoidables 2 and 3 - that said, I mean what I say - great writing!

Yet another brilliantly written book. This is the follow on to Avoidables 1 and it follows on perfectly. It goes more in depth of being an Avoidable which makes you understand more with each paragraph whilst still telling the story.

Purple and Hope find love. There are a couple more characters Alia and Deep just to name two. Purple goes in to rescue Hope. This book mainly is about the trial of Sandor. Then it is about the love of the others. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed this book
