“The KGB’s Most Wanted” is the captivating story of a young pastor named Joseph, who in a twist of fate lived a life mirroring his biblical predecessor. The book exposes the realities and truths of Soviet Oppression that was hid to the outside world behind the Iron Curtain of the 1960’s. Join readers around the world as they follow the story of Joseph, learning of what he faced during arrest, imprisonment, and loss of freedom for almost ten years in the merciless state of the communist driven society of the U.S.S.R. Inside the walls of the GULAG, Bondarenko faced near-starvation, beatings, torture and evil, seen and unseen, all because he boldly proclaimed the Gospel and refused to accept the ways of communism and the ways of the hammer and the sickle.
I appreciated this work very much. Joseph tells of his witness in the Soviet Union. He passed by numerous trials saw miracles saw KGB officers come to the Lord. A quick moving story of faith and endurance.
Phenomenal. Should Be Required Reading for The Church in the 21st Century
Wow, what an incredible book! I stumbled upon Joseph Bondarenko and his story when Sean Feucht made a Facebook post with this incredible man of God and mentioned his book. I am a better believer and person for reading it. Truly this book should be required reading for anyone professing faith in Christ anywhere in the world as both a reminder for the things that believers are sometimes called to endure as well as a steadfast reminder that no matter the circumstances, God is and will forever be faithful. One of the best books I read this year and was such an encouragement. Highly recommended!
The brutality and inhumanity of the Godless Russian authorities and their dunce thugs is writ large in these pages. The conscienceless, inexcusable disregard for human life was unleashed specifically on the followers of the God who is. The KGB’s and prison apparatus’ collective rage against the idea of God and against anyone with the hubris to stubbornly claim that God exists was seemingly inexhaustible. But Bondarenko’s allegiance to Jesus Christ was more tenacious than their rage and true faith could not be beaten out of him. Jesus Christ’s powerful, merciful and miraculous intervention reads like the book of Acts. Should anyone be ignorant of the Russian reign of terror against God and His followers, this book is a needed read. For those unaware that such hatred of God exists and that that hatred is being unleashed against true believers this account is a needed wake up call. Thank you Lord for your powerful persistence life within our brother a Joseph Bondarenko. Please make us equal to the Spiritual war that still rages.
This is a tremendous true story of Joseph Bondarenko's life as a committed Christian in Russia. Three times he was incarcerated for a total of over nine years, where he suffered extreme conditions. His crime was loving God and telling others about Him. He never wavered in his faith and passion to tell others of God's love and mercy. He and his family now live in California, where he remains active in spreading the Good News. What an encouraging book!
This book is a testament to the power that goodness and faith have over darkness. We're talking the darkness of KGB prisons by the way. How a trickle of light can have a multiplicative effect in the bleakness of our world, and how it can withstand any test. Bondarenko's life is like that of an Apostle, staying true to his faith regardless of the prosecution. Basically putting his faith over his life. If you're looking for a beautiful testimonial this book is pretty darn good.
Wow‼️ what a life story. I sat reading experiencing every possible emotion. I fear for America that we are on the road to identical religious persecution and yet if that ended in identical glorious revival I can only say come Lord Jesus. Have Your way with us too. For God is always good all the time!
An inspiring read of how the LORD uses everything to his glory. The trails and tribulations that Joseph went through and his faith held and grew stronger. Thank you for sharing.
God is good all the time. All the time God is good.
Great book!!! I love biographies and autobiographies. This is the God filled story of God's work through the author. READ IT! Be blessed and encouraged to follow the Lord with your all.
In the west Christians don't face the same persecution other believers face around the world. This book reminded me of that and inspired me to share my faith no matter what others think.
A pastor's story of life and ministry in the Soviet Union. Reminds me of the stories of close family friends in Ukraine. I pray if such a time comes to me I'll be as brave as they were!
Such an amazing story of God’s faithfulness in persecution
A must read! A story of God’s faithfulness and protection in the midst of horrible persecution. It is true that he is with us even in the darkest hours of our lives
