This was a sweet compilation of epilogue stories from the initial Zodiac Wolves series. Some of the stories were better than others. I thought Jordan/Stella had the strongest story, followed by Ethan/Larkin (although there were parts of that story that gave me the ick). Madison/Killian and Wesley/Mira definitely had weaker stories. In particular, the character of Madison seemed to come out of thin air, and I didn't really care much about her.
In the end, it wasn't fully necessary for the original series, but it was enjoyable to see this extended happily ever after, even if the dialogue and forced friendships were sometimes a bit cringey.
Loved this series and the the characters.Thank you for this book and tying up the rest of the characters and their mates. Thank you for using Kindle Unlimited. Get this author’s books and leave your reviews.
My favourite read by far was Air Kissed, perhaps because I felt it had the most emotional build-up. I'd have loved the full novel of it. But I completely understand why the author chose to write the books as novellas in order to finish the series.
This was a really good wrap up\collection of short stories to close out my Zodiac Wolves obsession. I mainly read this for Ethan but enjoyed most of the stories. Was maybe just a tad bit cheesy but idec. Love my wolves, love my spicy shifters, and love this happy ending.
𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥: Stella had suspected for a while that Jordan was her mate, but her deep-seated hatred of everything Leo had coloured her view of him.
I really felt sorry for Jordan because - apart from his foolish plan at the convergence - none of what had happened previously was his fault. He was a victim too, maybe even more so.
Their plan to trap Roxandra was…misguided to put it politely.
This was the longest of the stories in this compendium and although I liked how it ended it was just far too quick because novella.
𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥: Mira had a crush on Wesley her whole life, but then she was (fake) mated to Aidan.
She faced a difficult task wanting to be with her true mate, but Pisces not wanting her to take her daughter away from them. I loved her solution though!
𝘈𝘪𝘳 𝘒𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥: Larkin had been in love with Ethan from the start. But she was a 40 year old woman in a 14 year old body. Ethan cared about her but a cradle-snatcher he was not. But when she made a wish on the moon, it was granted. With conditions.
This was my favourite of the stories! It didn’t feel like a novella and I loved their build up and the tension, the angst, and ALL the spice!
𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘉𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥: Madison, the only solo female - and half human - alpha discovered that her mate was Killian…the beautiful vampire that had been mayor of Lunatera.
This was the final pairing to really showcase how much things had changed by breaking the Sunwitch curse and what a lovely full circle it was.
I understand why all of these stories became novellas in one omnibus, but sadly I feel they lost a lot of the heart, character development, and substance that made the rest of the series so great.
I did enjoy it on the whole and we got our closure from the series.
All the love and healing vibes to Elizabeth Briggs, what an inspiration ❤️
FIRE MATED, Stella & Jordan This story picks up right where book 4 left off, and I was so excited to dive back into this world. Stella was absolutely devastated and enraged once she realized that Jordan--the Leo pack alpha--was her mate. She had so much residual anger and trepidation towards the Leo pack after the deaths of her parents, but she agreed to travel with Jordan when young shifters began disappearing. As Stella and Jordan worked to keep his pack safe, she slowly began to see him in a different light--as a protector of his pack, as an alpha who wants to improve the Leo identity, and as a contrite mate who loved her. Their story was steamy, action-packed, and witty. 5 stars, Tropes: rejected mates, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, slow burn, STEAMY🔥
WATER FATED, Mira & Wesley This was a sweet story of love, healing, and acceptance. We've all known that Wesley and Mira were fated to end up together, but wrong timing and multiple obstacles stood in their way to happiness. Even though the romance between Mira and Wesley had a softer nature, the love and bond between them was just as intense and beautiful, especially Wesley's adoration of Adriana. There was some minor drama towards the end, but I'm happy Wesley and Mira finally got their HEA🖤 4 stars, Tropes: second chance, widowed single mom, cinnamon roll hero, stranded together, mutual pining, steamy🔥
AIR KISSED, Larkin & Ethan I've been waiting for Larkin and Ethan's HEA for sooo long, and I'm so excited to finally witness them together. Larkin is a fellow romance book girly, and I loved listening to her talk about books, tropes, and love. Ethan had a secret sexy side that I loved seeing, and they were so adorable together. I wish we could have gotten more scenes of them just living together and getting to know each other, but they had some seriously steamy moments. I loved seeing all of the previous couples in love so far, and I'm excited for the last story! 4.5 stars, Tropes: friends-to-lovers, unrequited love, no-strings attached, virgin heroine, dirty-talking hero, STEAMY🔥
EARTH BLESSED, Madison & Killian I'll be honest, I didn't really know what to expect from Madison and Killian's story, but theirs ended up being one of my favorites! Madison and Killian were shocked to discover they are mates during Madison's trip to heal Eventide's citizens after a vampire attack. The tensions between vampires and shifters were still high despite efforts to coexist peacefully, which made Madison and Killian's mating even more delicate. Despite their reservations, both were willing to give their mating a chance, but Killian's volatile past works to keep them apart. I loved the drama, action, and romance of this novella, and the ending was perfect for Madison and Killian. 4.5 stars, Tropes: unlikely mates, healer heroine, immortal vampire hero, hidden past, found family, steamy🔥
FATES ENTWINED, Ayla & Kaden To finally have the end of this brilliant series was definitely bittersweet! We've been able to see Ayla grow into herself and her confidence and fight for the happy ending she and Kaden deserved. It has been such a tumultuous yet amazing ride with all of these characters, and I loved getting to see them happy and as doting parents one last time. I'm so thankful that Elizabeth was abel to give us these fantastic stories, and I wish her a life of health and happiness. 5 stars, Tropes: fated mates, found family, HEA novella
2.5⭐️ This was 4 novellas into one book and told the quick stories of Stella and Jordan, Wesley and Mira, Larkin and Ethan and Madison and Killian. My favorite was Larkin and Ethan’s Air Kissed followed by Stella and Jordan’s Fire Mated. This was probably not needed but a nice little conclusion to the series. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it and felt indifferent towards it.
Thank you Elizabeth. This was a beautiful fifth volume and a super satisfying end to the story and characters. I came across this series after a post about your losing battle against cancer. My thoughts are with you and your talent and stories are an amazing legacy. I hope your journey to the stars is blessed. Thank you for making the world that little bit brighter with your amazing talent.
Cute stories, but they lacked build up and chemistry. I liked Larkin and Ethan's the most because of the pining and I'm 100% glad she was not a kid when they got together though I would have liked there to have been a time jump instead of instant age up magic.
What a lovely end to the Zodiac Wolves series.....It was so good to have stories of the characters that you met in the first four books and seeing them all get their HEA's 🐺🧛♀️🐦⬛
actually yeah that was fun as hell. i still HATE jordan and kaden, get that shit straight. but a book full of all the side characters i enjoyed from 1-4? slay.
Such a wonderful ending to a great series! I was so happy to see the love stories of some of the other characters in more detail and everything aligned so nicely. Loved the ending!
Nejlepší díl, Ethan&Larkin byli samozřejmě nejvíc cool, ostatní povídky ale také nezklamaly. Celkově asi poprvé, kdy se mi příběhy vedlejších postav líbily více než hlavní dvojice původní série. 😅
Fates Entwined is the fifth and final book in Elizabeth Briggs’ Zodiac Wolves series, and it serves as a collection of four novellas that wrap up the journeys of several beloved side characters. In her author’s note, Briggs shares that these stories were originally meant to be full-length novels. However, during her cancer journey she worried she might not have the time to complete them all, so she chose to release shorter versions rather than risk never sharing them at all. I’m incredibly grateful she made that decision. While I’m sad we didn’t get the full versions of these stories, having these glimpses into the couples’ futures is far better than nothing, especially now that she has passed. That context also explains why the Fire Wolves storyline featuring Jordan and Stella feels the most developed: it began as a half-written full-length book before Briggs decided to shift the remaining couples into novella format.
Because each story is novella-length, the faster pacing works well. All four are told from the female protagonist’s single POV, which highlights Briggs’ ability to give each heroine a distinct voice. That said, I still found myself wishing the series had experimented with dual POV at some point.
Overall, Fates Entwined is a cozy, satisfying conclusion to the Zodiac Wolves world. Yes, everything ties together neatly (maybe even a little cheesy at times) but for a finale centered on beloved side characters, that tidy resolution felt comforting. I’ve always loved wolf shifter stories, and this series built a world I truly enjoyed spending time in.
I’ve seen some reviewers mention a lack of chemistry or buildup in the romances, but I didn’t feel that way at all. With the exception of the final pairing, the relationships in these novellas were foreshadowed throughout the main series. Their development simply unfolded in the background while the larger conflicts took center stage. Given the novella format, the romances move quickly, but the groundwork was already there.
♌️ Fire Mated — Jordan & Stella
Jordan and Stella’s story picks up immediately after the events of book four, beginning with the first convergence under the new Zodiac Wolves peace agreements. This pairing felt inevitable from the start, and as a fellow fire sign I appreciated the volatile, passionate dynamic between them.
Jordan initially handles the mate bond terribly by cornering Stella into accepting it in a way that echoes his earlier mistakes. His desperation makes sense given the disaster of the false bond with his sister Ayla, but it still lands badly. Thankfully, once he realizes how scared and serious Stella truly is, he steps up: cue the groveling, banter, and cooking his way back into her good graces.
Watching the group react to their bond (especially Kaden and Ayla) was delightful, and Jordan finally getting revenge on Roxandra and shutting down her Sun Witch schemes brought satisfying closure. I also loved the smaller character moments, like Stella bonding with the local bookstore owner and helping Jordan's younger brother with his wolf. As the longest novella, this one felt the most fleshed out and emotionally grounded.
Spice 2.5 🌶
Rejected mates | Second chances | Healing old wounds | Slow burn | Forced proximity | Acceptance
♋️ Water Fated — Wesley & Mira
Wesley and Mira’s story is easily the softest and sweetest of the four, with the lowest “heat” level, but that suits their personalities perfectly.
Mira has held a crush on Wesley for years, yet she had been placed in a false mate bond with another wolf who died during the final battle, leaving her widowed and pregnant. Her journey focuses on grief, single motherhood, and learning whether it’s okay to embrace happiness again after loss.
Wesley is the ultimate green flag. From the moment the packs began converging again, he knew Mira was his mate, but he was prepared to wait as long as she needed. He also embraces both Mira and her daughter wholeheartedly.
The conflict surrounding her in-laws’ custody claim, arguing her daughter should belong to the “correct” pack based on birth, felt messy but realistic. I loved how the resolution pushed toward unity instead of division, allowing the Pisces and Cancer packs to form a deeper alliance and opening the door for wolves to choose their pack rather than being defined solely by birth. Wesley’s determination to be the father he (and especially Ayla) never had was incredibly swoon-worthy.
Spice 🌶
Childhood crush | Best friend's older brother | Snowed in | Widowed single mom | Found family | Loss/grief
♎️ Air Kissed — Ethan & Larkin
This was the story I had been most excited for. From the moment Ethan appeared in the series, it was clear Larkin had a huge crush on him, but since she was so *young* at the time, the feelings were entirely one-sided.
Ethan has always been a standout side character: thoughtful, attentive, and deeply respected for his leadership. Those traits carry over beautifully into the romance. It also doesn't hurt that he's a beautifully tattooed beast of a man who can rock business attire.
My one disappointment was the timeline for this novella. The story takes place less than a year after book four, and I had hoped for a larger time jump so Larkin could grow fully into adult body before the romance began. The magical workaround was clever, but I still would have loved more time for her to pine from afar and for the tension to build through closer collaboration with Ethan. Still, once the mate bond begins pushing Ethan out of his usual calm control, watching him struggle with those feelings is wonderfully entertaining.
What I loved most is that Ethan ultimately accepts Larkin for who she is, not because of the mate bond, but because he genuinely values her. Their relationship also becomes the first open shifter–moon witch mating, which feels like a meaningful step forward for the world.
As a romance reader myself, I loved the detail of Larkin accidentally sending Ethan her personal spicy scene draft, which finally pushes their relationship forward. Ethan proves to be a passionate and attentive partner, delighting in introducing her to experiences she’s only ever read about. It even leads to Larkin recommending her favorite romance novels so they can recreate some of the scenes together. Truly every book lover’s dream.
Spice 🌶🌶🌶
Shifter x moon witch | Secret crush | Magical glow up | Friends to lovers | He loves eating her out | Virgin FMC | He reads her favorite books | Book club
♍️ Earth Blessed — Killian & Madison
This pairing was the biggest surprise, since it’s the only one without prior foreshadowing in the main series. Still, it makes sense from an astrological perspective: Madison leads the Virgo pack, making her the natural Earth counterpart.
This novella finally introduces a time jump (about three years after the main series) which was refreshing. Madison travels to the supernatural town of Eventide to help heal victims of a rogue vampire attack, where she unexpectedly runs into Killian and their mate bond ignites. By this point in the series, relationships between shifters, moon witches, and humans are slowly becoming more common, but a vampire bond is completely new territory. The plot takes a darker turn when Madison is kidnapped by vampires connected to Killian’s past.
During her captivity she discovers two captured shifter children, and after an intense rescue led by Killian and the elite alpha squad (which was an awesome battle scene), the story reveals that neither Madison nor Killian can have children of their own. Their instant connection with the rescued kids leads to a touching found-family ending that felt both emotional and fitting.
Spice: 🌶 Vampire x shifter | ages 30/300 | Biting | Found family | Adopting kids | Healing
⛎️ Bonus Epilogue — Ayla & Kaden
The final bonus chapter jumps six years ahead (from the final events of book 4) to the Ophiuchus pack’s first hosted convergence.
Seeing every couple thriving , with two children each and fully settled into both parenthood and alpha leadership, was such a joy. Jordan as an enthusiastic girl dad was particularly delightful, and watching the next generation grow up in a world built on peace and cooperation felt like the perfect closing note.
Sometimes the best kind of ending is simply seeing everyone happy years later, and Fates Entwined delivers exactly that. It’s a warm, heartfelt farewell to a world I loved spending time in, and a reminder of Elizabeth Briggs’ talent for creating characters worth rooting for long after the final page.
i love that fire mated starts off with a bang. but ooooh boy jordan really didnt learn from the past did he? i cant believe he thought cornering stella & tricking her would work. stella’s conflict though is very understandable, with all the trauma the leos put her through throughout her whole life basically. seeing roxandra again isnt too much of a surprise. given how the zodiac wolves story ended concerning her, i had a feeling she’d be a plot point in jordan & stella’s story. she really is messed up and delusional….. seeing the upgrade jordan got though was a fun surprise. makes me wonder if all wolves with witch blood could do magic in wolf form that is basically a fire or ice breath attack. wicked cool. the s-xual tension between jordan & stella really starts to ramp up after that too. also the scene with debra & stella was really nice, some closure there for sure. and stella with griffin was cute! THE SIBLING BANTER WHEN KADEN FINDS OUT IS GREAT. yes that needed all caps. it was a beautiful moment seeing when stella finally accepted jordan as her fated mate, and seeing him own up to making poor choices in the begining concerning how he tricked her into activating the mate bond originally. and seeing roxandra's end was extremely well excuted and beautiful. also so fun getting a peak at the sun witch releam too! i loved how the ending of fire mated gave a little hint for the next 3 stories.
water fated was so emotionally sweet. i was curious what would occur in their story besides being snowed in. but to find mira & wesley’s story was about loss and grieving, and the divide in families between packs, specially after the curse was lifted & true mate bonds surfaced while fake ones broke. while i dont agree with how the grandparents handled things, i do get they were overwhelmed with grief and thought mira was taking their granddaughter away forever. i did like how it opened the discussion about this issue in general to all the alphas of the packs and allowed them to find the perfect solution for everyone. also im glad wesley’s first kid isnt his biologically, it both really shows how different he is from his mother and shows how great of a dad he will be.
starting air kissed, i empathized with larkin a good bit. similar to her, while i am an adult, physically i look like a young teenager. and its often been a thing im self conscious about due to being thrown in my face a lot. specially with potential romance or there lack of… most see me & presume im like 15-16 but then act shocked/in disbelief or creepy af when i mention im 28…. so i can relate to larkin a LOT. even her wish to selene hits home, i cant count how many times ive made similar wishes at night to the stars & moon to be able to at least look physically a little bit older, closer to my actual age. as things progress between them its kinda interesting to see ethan do some out of character things, like not thinking things through before acting upon them. for example the make out scene right after larkin’s basical confession. normally he’d bring up that it could only be temporary before the make out session. the more their 'friends with benefits' relationship goes on for, the more it seems like ethan is feeling the pull of a mating bond. at least if previous couples are anything to go by for that, but at the same time it doesnt seem like he's putting 2 and 2 together concerning it. almost as if it doesnt come to mind that his fated mate might not be a shifter. also seeing pack politics be brought up concerning half-shifters was super nice, the bit with Killian bringing up vampires who also want to move there to have a community again, and even more to make the new moon witch home a place for any supernatural who has no place to call home. oh larkin's anguish when her heart was broken makes me wanna hug her. its also painful how relatable she is to me siudfhs. i really do feel for her though, even if ethan didnt do it on purpose, in a way he did play with her heart. intentional or not. his actions made her believe they could be more but he still used the possible fated mate chance as an excuse to stay in limbo. god the girls all rallying around larkin and being slight bullies to ethan was a good bit funny, i do like that they encouraged larkin to go to the convergence and that ethan finally came to his senses. macy wasn't kidding though, libra wolves do be indecisive. that makes me wonder if that was also part of why the mate bond didnt activate between larkin & ethan at first, because both of them were indecisive in a sense. ethan due to his libra nature, and presuming his alpha female / fated mate would be a shifter. and larkin due to being both sure and unsure that they could be mates after all. i'm glad it worked out in the end for both of them. now can larkin hook me up with selene so i can get my own upgrade???? pls- earth blessed is surprisingly more fast paced than i presumed it would be, not an unwelcome surprise though. i just figured itd take a bit of push & pull cause shifter / vampire. i was curious what direction their story would take and the turn it did was rather interesting. between the conflict between killian & his brother and then those two kids. AH i love how this ends with an adoption story!! i love it when adopted kids get added to books for couples, more adoption positivity is always welcome! now finally the bonus epilogue for the whole series!! i love the smoothness of how much time has passed between the original epilouge and the novella stories all to way to here. the chaoticness of ayla stressing out about it being their turn to host the convergence to her & kaden looking for the kids after an out of season snow storm starts, them rallying the others to look for everyones missing kids. then the sibling banter between ayla & her brothers as they search, i love it. SO MANY KIDS AAAAA. i had a feeling at least one or two of the kids were the cause of the snow storm lol so cute for the reason of causing snow in june. pfff killian calling everyone out on the fact barely anyone knows how to say Ophiuchus. (i just pronounce it ‘or-fee-us’ and i doubt thats right). this was a wonderful ending to this series. i can’t wait to see what world you bring us next! also just saying- would love a book of novellas like this for some of the side characters in the world of seraphim academy/claimed by lucifer. like damien, olivia’s brother, and aurora!
Primer parte: Stella y Jordan.
Segunda pareja: Mira y Wesley.

So this book contains three mini love stories and a short epilogue. The first story is Jordan and Stella. This one is the longest. I was super excited for this story because Jordan became one of my favorite characters and it was pretty obvious that Stella was going to be his mate. However, this story was a little bit of a let down. It is supposed to be an enemies to lovers situation but it's one sided. Stella thinks Jordan is her enemy but he's just trying his best to good to her. I get why she would have reservations because of the history but she should know that enemy #1 were Sun Witches. If anything she should have sympathy for Jordan since he had been mind controlled the longest and also raped. So I felt like she was pretty rash for not even giving him a conversation. Then straight up rude for reading him the way she did. I enjoyed the book once they get together. Jordan and Stella are a great couple. I would have liked more of that and less of Stella fighting it.
The second story is Larkin and Ethan. I was worried about how this would go. They age her up physically, thank gawd. But still, I didn't really care for this story. I think it's all a mind eff for me since she's actually a 40 something year old women stuck in the body of a child, yet the way she is written is like a teenager. It wasn't especially bad but hard to wrap my mind around I guess. Larkin is a nice side character but not so much a main character for me.
The third sorry is Madison and Killian. I had no expectations for this couple and was pleasantly surprised by the story. This one was the shortest, yet had the most intriguing story. I think this story could have been a spin off novella or one off book or even a series. There was a lot of interesting stuff going on with the vampires. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't go into detail on what I loved, but I really liked it and wish there was more!
Lastly, epilogue is two chapters and I loved them. It was such a nice little peak into family this whole group built together. I loved it. It was my favorite part of the whole book. I would love more of this.
The collection I didn't fully know I needed! I read the Zodiac Wolves series months and months ago and picking this up and remembering all the characters was SO EASY because I loved them so much.
FIRE MATED Stella & Jordan. Sigh. I love them. These are the siblings to Kaden and Ayla. This is the longest of the stories in this collection and for good reason. Their story is almost a full length book. There is an actual plot as well as the romance. I assumed all of these little stories would just be about them getting together but this one has us fighting the Sun Witches again. The rejected mate plot line was heartbreaking. Stella was so stubborn and I wanted to shake her!!! In the end, she realized that Jordan was literally made for her.
WATER FATED Mira & Wesley. Best friends brother and single mom. So good. We know from the original series that Mira was fake mated to the Pisces pack and had a daughter. She lost her fake mate and now that the Sun Witches curse was removed, so is being pulled toward her best friends brother who is now the Alpha of the Cancer pack.
AIR KISSED Larkin & Ethan. The Moon Witch trapped in a child's body and the alpha of the Libra pack. I was nervous about this one because despite Larkin being in her 40's, so is visually only 15/16 years old. I think the author did a great job with playing with her world building to solve her issue.
Earth Blessed Madison & Killian. Didn't love this one. I was pretty bored. After thinking about it more, this felt like an obligation rather than writing for pleasure on behalf of the author. I feel like she started plotting this book and gave us the Fire, Water and Air books that fans were ravenous for and then realized "oh shit, I don't really have a plan for Earth... better sneak in a random character from the Virgo pack and throw her with the only other male character that readers are familiar with: Killian the vampire". Everything in this little short felt so different from the original series and the vibe of these short stories. I would have preferred the effort go into beefing up Mira and Larkin's stories to match Stellas. I don't know. Just didn't vibe with it at all. Skimmed the second half so I could get back to Ayla and Kaden in Fates Entwined.
5 stars isn't enough !!! This book is Fabulous !!!!
This is a truly amazing wrap up to an absolutely brilliant story !!!! I fell in love with Ayla and Kaden' s story , and so of COURSE , I was very excited to find out that more books were in the way !!! Then came the news, that the books would be contained in one huge collection . And then we found out why. This author has had so very much thrown at her in the last few years, and for he to out thus hook out as she dud , was a very brave labor of love !!! 😍❤💋❤💋 In this book we find out what happens to the Zodiac Wolves, Moon, and Sun witches, and the other supernaturals that were in the previous books. I loved the way this story kept moving forward , and the altogether different pairings now that nature is able to take its true course. Each and every couple are different, and have a multitude of hurdles that must be overcome. Each and every couple are very well represented, and it absolutely helps to have read the previous books in order to understand the underlying animosity and mistrust , but I think you would still be able to follow all of the angst without reading the first 3 or 4 books. Ayla and Kaden feature through out. And the span of years answers some questions. Very well written. The characters change as the story moves along, and even though I am sad that there will not be anymore from this fabulous world, I am extremely satisfied and happy with this wonderful work of art !! These characters will always hold a special place in my heart . The author as well !! ❤❤❤ I would give it more stars if I could !!!
I really enjoyed this series. Characters, storyline and world building all drew me in, although the first 4 books centered around our main couple, Ayla and Kaden, and I did get a bit irritated with Ayla from time to time. There was a pretty long wait between the 3rd and 4th books, unfortunately it was due to some health issues of the author. I wish her a speedy recovery because, as she said, she still has a lot more stories to tell. And I want to read every one of them.
Ms. Briggs original intention was to write a book about each of the 4 couples that appear in this book, but as mentioned above, her health didn't allow that. So she reduced each of these stories to a novella length and combined them all into this final book of the series, which wrapped everything up in a nice tidy bow. I loved becoming reacquainted with the characters. There was so much cross over between a lot of characters in all of the books in this series, but particularly this one.
Yes, everyone got their HEA. There was a bit of several tropes here; enemies to lovers, slow burn, instalove etc. and I loved every one. Although I have to admit, Larkin was the lucky woman IMO. I thought that Alpha Ethan of the Libra Pack was panty melting hot from his first entrance in the series. . . and I feel that even more so after reading their story. Yes, there was a lot of steam in that one, but I would expect nothing less from my wouldbe boyfriend, Ethan.
I do recommend the series. I had a nice feeling of satisfaction when I turned the final page of this book.
I just finished Fates Entwined, the fifth book in Elizabeth Briggs’ Zodiac Wolves series, and I’m feeling a lot of emotions.
When I finished the fourth book, I remember feeling sad that the story was ending. I had grown so attached not just to the main characters, but to all the side characters too. I kept hoping that somehow they would all get the happy endings they deserved.
Then I discovered that Elizabeth Briggs had written a fifth book before she passed away from stage four colon cancer. Reading it felt incredibly bittersweet. Knowing she took the time to give those side characters their own moments of happiness and closure made the story feel even more meaningful.
The books are written in a novella style short and sweet, but I’m so grateful for that because it meant we were able to get this final story and see those characters get the endings they deserved.
It’s rare to find an author whose characters feel so alive that you genuinely care about what happens to every single one of them. This final book felt like a gift…to the characters, to the readers, and to the world she created.
I’m so grateful I got to experience this series and the stories Elizabeth Briggs shared with us. Finishing this book felt like saying goodbye not only to the characters, but to an author whose imagination and heart touched so many readers.
She may be gone, but the worlds and characters she created will continue to live on in her books.
Since that this story is a collection of four short stories of the aftermath of the Zodiac Wolves, I will review each of the stories one at a time.
First up is Fire Mated(Jordan x Stella): I really loved this short story of enemies to lovers. Their growing respect for each other and their teamwork against what remained of the corrupt Sun Witches was intense. Easily a 9/10! Water Fated(Wesley x Mira): This one was a pretty quick read but I really enjoyed the story of Mira finding love again after her first husband passed away in the war, her dynamic with Wesley was sweet and interesting while getting stuck in a cabin during a snowstorm. 8/10! Air Kissed(Larkin x Ethan): Larkins story had the friends to lovers dynamic, and I was honestly surprised with how her wish to have a grown up body had been granted. Her relationship with Ethan was pretty sweet and considerate. I will give them a 8/10 as well. Earth Blessed (Madison and Killian): Madison and Killians story took an interesting turn for the Zodiac Wolves, showing not only being a half wolf and vampire romance but shows a little bit of Killians history of the vampires in the Zodiac Wolves universe. Good action in this short story. I will give this one a 8/10 as well. Fates Entwined(Ayla x Kaden): We finish with the last two chapters with the main couple who started the series and they finish things off with having a snowball fight with their children. This in turn is a fantastic conclusion to the series.
