Marvel Comics picks up where Star Trek – The Motion Picture left off with Star Trek: The Further Adventures of the Starship Enterprise. This 3 issue comic collection includes reprints of “Tomorrow or Yesterday,” “... Like a Woman Scorned!,” and “Eclipse of Reason.” Unfortunately the writers don’t really have a good grasp on what Star Trek is, delivering rather generic sci-fi stories. Also, the artwork isn’t very faithful to the cinematic vision of the film and a couple of the characters are off model (McCoy and Rand especially). However, given that the film had re-designed the ship, costumes, and aliens; it’s understandable that the artists took the liberties that they did. While it’s an interesting curiosity, Star Trek: The Further Adventures of the Starship Enterprise is a horrible bastardization of the series that will leave fans dumbfounded.

Gods this is terrible. But damn its pretty fun. If I could, I'd give this 2.5 Stars but since I can't, hence the 3. The authors have little to no idea the characters they are writing and pretty much everyone except Spock is off. But because it's so bad, because the artwork ends up being so generic, and the stories being something that would probably never fly if written for the screen, it becomes really campy and fun in a terrible oh gods kinda way. Worth it really only for fans who know Trek well enough to laugh at the terrible depictions of some great characters.
