What a phenomenal short story. I will definitely be continuing this series.

Marco, a naive 25 year old with an adventurous heart, decided to finally break out of his comfort zone- way out- with a flight to Thailand. Needless to say, this is a bold choice for a young man traveling solo on his first trip outside the U.S.

Chris, a renowned culinary travel journalist, notices Marco in the customs line after his arrival at the Bangkok airport. He was immediately taken with the gorgeous young man and was vicariously enjoying the excitement that was rolling off of Marco in waves. He also couldn't help but notice Marco's anxiety, which was practically vibrating just beneath his brave veneer. He felt a wave of nostalgia as he remembered his own excitement the first time he traveled abroad.

After a few days in Bangkok, Marco is in a near-crippling state of culture shock. When approached by yet another vendor, many of the whom he had already learned approached American tourists with unsavory motives, a deep American voice interrejected into the exchange, deftly dismissing the vendor. The man introduced himself as Chris. He explained that he was a veteran traveler and offered to be a temporary tour guide for Marco for the short time he was in town. Marco was still suspicious about the motives of any stranger that approached him, but something about the gorgeous older man put him at ease. It didn't hurt that Chris was insanely attractive, so he want out on a limb and accepted the stranger's assistance.

The two spend an incredible day together, with their enjoyment only overshadowed by the knowledge that their time together was rapidly drawing to a close. When the time came to part ways, it was harder to let go than either man imagined, resulting in both men questioning their next move.

Fascinating, exotic and sexy, this is short story is easily one of my favorite reads of the year. Highly Recommended. I will be reading the next book in the series, a full length novel, in very short order.

I thought this would be a book that I would have to force myself to read through all the way, which is why I was pleasantly surprised at how much I actually really enjoyed this book. I liked how there were different elements and tidbits that were included in this story from both of the main characters that helped shape and develop the rest of the story from start to finish. Awesome read for this Bingo challenge.
