Happily mated Tiger shifter, Fhina has the Purr-fect life with her no-longer-cursed Wolf shifter husband and their brand new babies. So, why is it that life suddenly took a turn for the weird for her favorite cousin Tessa? And why did Fhina’s Magician ex-boyfriend and his gaggle of pixies suddenly appear in Tessa’s bakery.
It will take a lot more than a curse book to solve this mystery. It’ll take the combined talents of an dysfunctional Enchantress, a first level Witch, and more than a little luck.
A short story featuring a witch, a shape shifter, a wizard, a handful of naughty pixies let loose in a bakery and a pair of cursed earrings makes for a fun light read. With an unexpected twist towards the end.
Humorous, sexy and filled with intrigue and mysterious characters, I really enjoyed meeting Fhina, Tessa and the others in this short story. Did I mention there's mischievous pixies too? Lots of fun. Would love to read more about this wonderful and fun world.
The first person present tense threw me off. It is an interesting story, and the world is kind of interesting, but the characters are also kind of flat. Especially the "villain" of the story who acts like a caricature of a teenage chauvinist pig rather than a fully developed person. But the actual plot is good. If you like first person present tense I would recommend it. If you don't like present tense stories maybe skip this.
