This is the third book I’m reading by Oliver Phipps, and here I am saying this: “Oliver Phipps just with 3 books became my new favourite author. As always Phipps does an amazing job creating a reality that just fascinates you. His style of writing and the descriptions make you feel not an observer but a part of the story. I have been a big fun of dystopian novels after I read Huxley and Orwell, I still believe that they are like gods to me of dystopian, now my gods increased by one person – and that’s Oliver Phipps.

In all the latest dystopian novels that I’ve read in the past year, the beginning is always so confusing, however this time the author gives us an insight right from the start, so we know where we are and what’s going on from the very beginning. The plot that Phipps conjures is something absolutely fabulous. Merge reality with virtual reality and you may have a rough idea what might be going on here. I loved the book for this uniqueness and even though the plot is set in the future, the situations that we see make us feel as if we are still in 21st century.

The main characters – Rizette and Oray are a young married couple, which work in the virtual reality and all the “fun”, if we can call if fun starts when Oray discovers a conspiracy. Now we are thrown in a reality with a little hope, and it’s up to us to understand the book. This book combines Sci-Fi with humor and makes us enjoy the book from the first page to the last one. There are many moments that might first sound fun, but at the same time make you think as to how the technology progresses too fast. I do not think that my kid brother will know what a cassette is when he will be 13. Yes, even if you were not a fan of Sci-Fi novels, you will become, right before even finishing “Diver Creed Station”.

Are you ready to dive into an adventure, which will make you laugh but will ask you to think too? Are you ready for a futuristic reality that might actually become our future? I mean, many people are starting to be more obsessed with virtual reality nowadays then the real one. I remember once I read somewhere that the reality is the one that we make ourselves. Get ready for the suspense that will leave you craving more, that’s what Oliver Phipps is amazing in. You still haven’t got your copy? What are you waiting for? Enjoy this amazing book to its fullest, and get addicted to Oliver Phipps as I did.

As a fan of dystopian sci-fi stories, I knew I would enjoy Diver Creed Station. It takes place in the 23rd century, after wars, radiation, sterility, and tribalism affected humanity and destroyed civilizations.

Diver Creed Station explores a future where people go back and forth between living in reality and in a virtual world. It shows what can happen when virtual technology falls on malicious hands. Instead of doom and gloom, Oliver Phipps' writing gives a practical take on how trusted, competent workers ("Divers") and public figures band together and combat conspirators.

Throughout the story, we see how tough situations can give people hope and resourcefulness. Unlike too many modern day stories, where characters are bitter, backstabbing, and antagonistic, here we have loyal characters always looking for each others' backs, even when they hardly know one another.

Oliver Phipps also does a good job at exploring different time periods in human history, how people from the past and future (the story's present) communicate, cultural barriers and all.

Would recommend! 5/5 stars

Drive Creed - an intricate commentary on post-modern society masquerading as a sci-fi drama. This is exactly why I fell in love with the genre, sci-fi not merely entertain us but force us to think, to go deep into the uncharted territories of morality and ethics.

The question that begs to be mulled over is are we going in the right way? Is being what we are today will turn us tomorrow into what is imagined in these sci-fi book ?

Wow, what a great story. I love this one.

There is wonderful mix of everything in this story. Relationships, danger and mystery. I have read some science fiction that just left me tired after I finish, too much action etc. The pace of this novel is good and when I finished I felt relaxed and satisfied.

a story of Oray and Rizette - and a story of hope and survival. The story of the two brilliant technicians against all odds. The two characters are well canvassed, and lend the humane depth to the sci-fi story.

This story is like, sci-fi and all kinda other stuff all mixed in to make something awesome. I don't normally read sci-fi but I like Oliver Phipps and this book is really great. I very highly recommend. If I like it and I'm not really a sci-fi girl then I think the sci-fi people will love.

Great book

This book takes place in the future when global war almost eliminated man kind. Millions of people died from weapons radiation, biological and chemical waste, and disease. This also caused sterility in a lot of what humans were left. Very few could actually have children. A breeding station was created to protect these people and children in effort to repopulate the earth. These people had as many children as they could in effort to save the human race.
Survival groups formed. Being in a group you were protected and more likely to survive than being alone. People did whatever they could do to survive. Of course their had to be a group of savages willing to kill people to survive. When the rest of the world was trying to repopulate it.
A virtual reality pod facility was discovered and offered people virtual reality life experiences. People could live in the pods for 7 days at a time to escape reality. Then they worked in the facility for 7 days. It was a really nice way to escape reality for a little while until someone took over the pod facility and people got trapped in the pods and in virtual reality.
You must read this book to find out what happens. I really enjoyed this book as well as a few other by this Author. His books are well written and easy to follow and understand. I recommend this book.

I loved everything about this book!

This is by far one of the best books I’ve ever read and I’m not a fantasy reader typically. This has the perfect amount of romance, fantasy, and a badass FMC!

Even if you aren’t usually into fantasy you should read this book because I promise it’ll blow you away!
