Thirty and single? Well, getcha butt to the Gathering! Wait… what?
Paisley Twynham is over the whole werewolf thing. It’d been a shock to be magically kidnapped and plopped in the middle of a werewolf gathering. Then she got kidnapped a second time, had the crap beat out of her, escaped, and then met two men who are supposed to be her mates. Yup, all kinds of “over” the Gathering. Her only salvations are her sisters and… the two men she can’t help but drool over. Tall, muscular, sexy as hell, and for some reason, they want her fluffy ass. Maybe she doesn’t hate werewolves as much as she thought…
Chance and Hawkins don’t quite have a solid Warden bond. Hawkins is holding back while Chance is slowly reaching the end of his patience after ten years of partnership. The only woman who might save them is Paisley. Seductive, curvaceous, vivacious Paisley Twynham. She’s their Warden Born mate and Chance refuses to let Hawkins’ past stand in the way of their future.
But something else hides in their path that threatens to end their mating before it begins. Or rather, someone.
Part of the "Alpha Marked" Series: The Wickhams Scarlet Gabriella Whitney --Alpha Marked Boxed Set (Scarlet, Gabriella, Whitney)-- The Twynhams Rebecca Lorelei Paisley
If you every find yourself pulled though a magical vertex and you see people change into werewolves just make sure to stay strong and don’t take s**t from any horny werewolves.

Paisley is book six in the Alpha Marked series. This series is best read in order so you can get the full scope of the characters and plot. Each story is quick and easy to read.
This is by far the best book in the series. I loved it! I feel that each book gets a little better as the series moves on. I throughly enjoy how this book starts. The text messages we receive from the ruling alphas mate Scarlet added humor and make you feel like you are part of the Gathering. Exp: “My cousin Paisley has been taken hostage by a total asshat. Find her. Bring that YOLO juice back and hunt her down. You only live once, right? Violence is encouraged, drawing the dickhead’s blood is celebrated. I want a wolf skin rug here, people.”
Even after everything Paisley goes through she is a strong women. I like that she questioned what was going on and did not trust until she had the answers she wanted. She takes those answers and understands the fact that she has magic, that werewolves exist, and that she has mates not one, but two. Her mates are different then what we have been use too. They have not fully bonded. One is dealing with a very traumatic past and does not want to be vulnerable again. I liked how Ms. Kyle brought the characters together and grew their relationship and built the trust between them.
This series has a great premise with the Alpha Marked and Warden Born. It has been fun, sexy, and enjoyable to read. I am looking froward to reading more.
Great read if...you like PNR, short reads, sexy reads, MFM (as in no man on man touching), humor, insta love and an HEA.
Side Note: Hm...in ways I really loved this book and in other ways it was my least favorite. The group definitely had the most realistic time frame for building something outside of sex before hopping to the good dirty dirty, but there didn't feel like there was the same LOVE there that was in the others until close to the end. Also, there was a moment in the big fight scene where plot wise it didn't make sense to me. How was that possible if where they were the safest place for werewolves like ever? Just a few moments that made frown, but all in all it did a great job wrapping up the series.
Another hit for Celia Kyle. Loved that Paisley was just as fiesty as her sisters and cousins. Really love the whole Alpha Marked and Warden Born premise. Want more of these stories. Don't they have more cousins to torment? Please
The series gets better as it goes and the story line along with characters develop more depth. Cheesy erotica with a sci-fi twist. A nice guilty pleasure
Excellent addition to this series and it is just very entertaining all the way to the last words. Exciting twists and turns that you will not want to stop reading it . Sexy, hot and full of interesting men and women.
This series is additive , this is the story of the youngest sister paisley and her two Hunks , yes it will make you cry but I promise you will be smiling and laughing at the end .
Paisley is Rebecca and Lorelei' s sister and a Warden Born. She was brought to the Gathering and then kidnapped by bad wolves. Her mates rescue her after she escapes. Then the Ruling Alphas & Warden Alphas take them to safety. However the bad wolf finds her again, but they save each other. Awesome paranormal series.
Well, I did not think that Celia Kyle could top Scarlet or Whitney’s books. I was wrong. So wrong. I absolutely loved this book. Like could not put it down until I finished it. It is my favorite by far in the Alpha Marked Series.
Celia added so much depth to this plotline and I loved the twists and turns. Everyone knows I love the sexy alpha’s Celia creates, but these two were not just sexy. They had fantastic back stories and were emotionally disconnected. Watching Paisley breakdown their walls and work her way into Chance and Hawkins hearts had me glued to the pages. I literally could not put this book down.
Paisley Twynham has been through hell when Chance and Hawkins finally find her. She doesn’t want to listen to them, but after what she went through she realizes that they are probably telling the truth. She instantly becomes protective of them even if she doesn’t realize they are her mates.
In this book we get to see the trio really connect. The guys have serious issues to move past and Paisley is not sure if they ever will.
Chance instantly connected with Paisley. I loved watching how he was with d her. He loved her from the moment he realized she was his. He had made up his mind no matter what she would be in his life.
“Hush they don’t know everything. If I’m not hurting you, then I’d like to hold you. We’ve fucked up, sweetheart. Lemme make it better.” Chance
Hawkins on the other hand had suffered a loss and was not sure he would ever recover. He is older than Paisley and isn’t as secure as he wants everyone to believe. Paisley was perfect in his eyes he just wasn’t sure he could let her or is partner in fully.
Celia gave us a few surprises I will not mention throughout this book. I am hoping they are not just fun additions and that maybe just maybe this means we will be receiving a few more alpha marked books in the future. {Gives Celia huge puppy dog eyes}
Overall: Paisley is in the clutches of a bad man, who is determined to hurt her and her sisters. When his man are successful, Maxim ( the bad guy ) tries to kill her, but her magic comes out and burns him and she is able to escape. Chance and Hawkins are out searching for Paisley, when all of a sudden Hawkins magic starts going haywire and pulls him in the direction of these maze alleyways. Chance gets a whiff of starfruit and sugar cookies and follows the smell until her reaches a woman that is crouched into a ball on the grimy ground. Before she is willing to go with them, she asks them a lot of questions and when they take her to the hotel, she still doesn't trust what's going on and only wants to be around them. The Ruling Alphas decide that the only safe place for all of them is at their compound and Paisley will only go if Chance and Hawkins can go with her. She feels the connection with them, but Hawkins is so closed off from Chance and Paisley that he pushes them away because of his past. After this point in the story it's a battle of wills between Chance & Paisley to get Hawkins to get over his past and see what is in front of him. There is a nasty fight at the end and Paisley has to use all her womanly power to pull them out of the abyss and into her arms. They get their HEA and the author kind of hints to either a new series or a new book.
Pros: I really like Paisley and how tough she was in an known situation and how she questioned what was going on and didn't trust anyone until she had the answered she wanted. No dismal in distress here! I also really liked the family tradition of how you felt after having sex with two hot werewolves.
Cons: I liked that this story had more details, but a lot of sexy time was left out! Other than that I didn't have any cons with this story.
The sixth book of the Alpha Marked series features Paisley, Hawkins and Chance. Paisley was kidnapped by the evil weres who hate the human Warden borns. It’s a whole thing….and then, romance.
The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between
It’s a quick, easy read: at roughly 120 pages or so, it’s not a big time investment.
So, by the sixth book, you should know what you’re getting: I could break down the usual, but really...it’s a MFM menage featuring a BBW heroine and two weres who are usually going through their own issues before they all give into their feelings and tada! The final big DP scene. The End. That’s the formula. It either works for you, or it doesn’t. Ms. Kyle’s humor and the overall setup for the universe works for me.
A little twist on things: Here, it’s a little different because Hawkins is older and the guys haven’t fully bonded because Hawkins is still traumatized from his last partner dying on him. I would have liked to see more at the end where Hawkins deals with his strong protective issues, and his floundering bond with Chance.
The big climax (and I don’t mean the DP scene): It felt a little disjointed and as if we didn’t get the full story there. Or perhaps it was underdeveloped. I did want more from that. Also, the big bad Maxim’s kidnapping happened mostly over the last few books, but even so I felt like there could have been more. Since the plan seems to be to extend this series, I guess we’ll see if anything else happens, but I was just left with more questions than a sense of completion.
The Bottom Line If you don’t mind the formula (BBW heroine+two weres=menage fun!) then you may enjoy this. I liked the twist and the humor, and I’ll admit it - if more books come out, I’ll read them.
Paisley by Celia Kyle is the sixth story in the Alpha Marked series. This story is best read in chronological order. Paisley has been kidnapped and introduced to the world of “other” in such a way that she is ready to click her heels and return home, but alas there is no going back for her. She just needs to preserver and Chance and Hawkins are her life lines. I loved that Paisley just needed a moment to catch her breath and then she was ready to kick butt and take names. She finds comfort in Hawkins and Chance’s presence and she is holding on to them for all she is worth. She will fight the devil himself for them and she makes it clear to her family both new and old. I loved that she was strong enough to keep it real even as one of her mates fought to keep his distance. I loved both Hawkins and Chance. Chance for all that he was lighthearted he was strong enough to know when to let go. He has had a weak connection to Hawkins but when Hawkins’ fear threatened their future, he knows he could no longer allow Hawkins time to accept his loss. And poor Hawkins, he has had an important connection severed not only by death but by deed. He is so afraid of allowing others into his heart. Chance has been willing to accept the lukewarm connection but Paisley changes that and Hawkins isn’t ready. I loved that Ms. Kyle made their issues clear. I loved that she then found a way to make the connection both new and old a source of renewed strength for Chance, Hawkins and Paisley. I really enjoyed this story and seeing how the characters grew into trust. This story was a wonderful addition to this series and I am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Kyle.
Paisley's story picks up where Lorelei's story ends while her sister's are meeting their mates at the Gathering, Paisley is kidnapped not knowing anything about werewolves and the magic she carries inside. Just when she thinks she's about to come to a disturbing end something blows up and when she realizes it was her own doing that is just the beginning of the story.
Coming to her rescue after she knocks out her captor are two hot looking werewolves, Hawkins and Chance. They have quite a story to tell her and while she is reunited with her sisters Paisley must come to terms with a whole world she doesn't know anything about and figure out why she was kidnapped in the first place.
I purchased this book a while back, but didn't get a chance to read it until just this week. First of all if you have missed the Alpha Marked series I would recommend you read it in order to keep up with who all the characters are and why these sisters and cousins find themselves in the middle of a werewolf war.
Once you get to Paisley's story you are in for a treat. So far my favorite, Paisley's story digs deeper in the personalities between the three chosen mates and pulls in a little more emotion than the other stories. Paisley comes to terms rather quickly with what is going on and I wish with the rest of what is going on she would have held off a bit longer, but otherwise the connection to the rest of the storyline works well.
Now that Celia Kyle has finished with the second set of sisters it will be interesting to see if she decides to go on with a new group of characters.
Paisley Twynham is the sat down in the middle of the Gathering not knowing anything about werewolfs...she gets snached by one group....then another!! She gets beat, cut and shoved in a dirty dank room with a crazed wolf intent on killing her and her sisters!! Paisley gets fed up....angry boils as she wishes she had taken kickboxing instead of freaking yoga so she could help herself. Unbeknownst to her her mates are close by and as her anger boils when the crazy wolf puts a knife to her throat to kill her....she's had enough!!! The magic, brought on by her mates, gets so hot she knocks the crazy on his butt and nearly fries him!!! She seems to be the brightest and most magical of all the Warden Born!! So when Chance and Hawkins find her she listens to them and goes with them. Chance and Hawkins are an unlikely pair but so be it...they have their own problems to get past. Celia really outdoes herself with this one...I loved every page and couldn't put it down till I finished it!! I didn't think she could outdo Scarlet but I think she has!!! This book was given to me by the author who asked for an honest review.....which was very brave of her cause she knows me...lolol.
This book is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. Paisley is book six in the alpha marked series. I liked that Paisley is related to the Wickham sisters and is Rebecca and Lorelei’s sister. I liked Paisley’s attitude and mood. I liked that Paisley was able to escape Maxim on her own. Her power’s helped her protect herself. I liked that although she was scared and feared them, she wasn’t willing to separate from Chance and Hawke.
Celiac Kyle is brilliant. She's funny and her characters are engaging and did I say she's funny. There's all you need wrapped in a series of books. So... Like werewolves? Like hot men? Like having curves worshipped? Like sexy time? Like some action/drama? Say yes to any of these and this is your series
3 stars this was a light & quick read. I suspect I would have enjoyed it more if i read the series in order. As it stands this is the first & only book in the series I've read to date. Will I try another? I think so.
This series was well written and I loved how strong the females were. I would loved to be able to read even more about the characters because of how quickly I was able to relate to them. So seriously my only complaint is the it ended too quickly. ;)
Except for the Ridgeview series this series are some of my favorite stories. All parts go together without lover running the last story. I've read many of your other books. But these are my go to books when I need the best.
DNF @ 23%. I just couldn't do it. Four stars is probably being a little generous, but it was a good book. It was just me that didn't have to patience to get into it. I'll return to it at a later date and try again.
WOW super story I hope that Celia continues this series to see if they find a better way to match people. If you enjoy reading shapeshifter menage and romance then this is the author for you
This is the final book in the Alpha Marked series. It wasn’t quite as good as the last book, but the 3 Twynham sisters books were much much better than the 3 Wickham sisters books. I swear, Scarlet ruins every scene she is in. This is Paisley’s story. She was kidnapped from the gathering on the first day and wasn’t found until the third day. In that time, she was beaten and terrorized. There are still wolves out there that do not like some of the changes that the ruling alphas have instituted; such as allowing warden pairs to find their mates. The bulk of the story here is the relationship between Paisley and her mates, Wardens Chance and Hawkins.
This was actually a pretty sad story for most of the book. Hawkins has a pretty traumatic experience in his past, and that has him emotionally guarded. So much so, that he won’t allow his partner, Chance, to mind link with him. To be honest, I’m not sure how they were paired or how they’ve lasted as partners this long. Their partnership is so fractured, that they can’t have been effective in the field. And I’m surprised that some alpha pair didn’t take note or do something about it. Even Paisley won’t mate with them until they figure their shit out.” There were really a lot of heartbreaking scenes between these three. My heart was actually shredded in a few spots.
I do still recommend this series, but admit that the first 3 books aren’t that great. They get better because I really liked the lat three books. Out of the 6 books, there were 2 that took an unexpected turn by having issues between the bonded warden pairs. It was a nice departure from typical similar books. I can’t really tell a reader to just skip the first three book, however, because the overarching storyline is advanced between all the books.
This novella is an Erotic Paranormal Romance containing a M/F/M love story. With Paisley’s story the Alpha Marked series has come to an end. I’ve enjoyed each installment of this series but I’m left with questions. I was hoping that this story would answer them but unfortunately it didn’t. That’s left me feeling a bit disappointed despite the fact that I certainly was entertained by the author’s tale.
Dana Lane is a skilled actress. I’ve been delighted with the amount of emotion that she’s able to portray in her performances. In my opinion though I believe she needs to work on using different voices with her characters. The convincing emotion that she’s able give to the words of the story aren’t always enough to differentiate the different people.
