I want to live on Eveiller Drive with these wonderful couples. Kara and Dave are a young couple with 4 month old twin girls. Kara is feeling insecure about her body after giving birth to twins. She is busy taking care of the babies, house and husband. She wants to go back to writing and is being picked on by an evil monster in law. She and her hubby haven't been together since she was pregnant and she is always tired. With the support of her friends on Eveiller Drive she feels she can reconnect with her husband and go away for the weekend. When she finally tells Dave what she needs he is more than ready to support her. He is so excited to reconnect with his wife he plans the romantic weekend. He puts his mother in her place too. A fun sexy read I couldn't put down! I love these couples!

Loved this story .

This is book 2 and its Kara and Dave’s turn to try to rekindle the passion in their marriage.
Kara’s friends help her and plan everything.

Kara has been through the ringer with her monster inlaw Victoria. From the very first start of dating Dave and even years later after the birth of their twin girls her mother inlaw is still a nightmare.

Kara has lost a big piece of her self esteem after having the twins and hasn’t had any passionate nights or days with her husband Dave. She feels guilty but is afraid of many things.

Dave misses the intimacy with his wife but is not sure how to approach the issue.

Well after much planning Kara has surprised Dave by announcing she has a sitter for the twins and they can spend some quality time together. Well Dave being superbly over joyed by this news sets up a weekend getaway his wife will never forget.

Can these 2 bring passion back to their marriage?
Can Dave help his wife over come her self esteem issues?

Grab your copy and find out..

This was a cute and sexy short story. I enjoyed it very much and can’t wait for the next one !!

Kara & Dave
Éveiller Drive, Book 2
By: Melanie James
Narrated by: Hollie Jackson

I am loving this series! Melanie James has her own soap opera on Eveiller Drive, and each story has something that is easy to relate to. These couples are so true to life, she could be writing about any of us! This story features Kara who recently had twins. She is struggling with being a new mom, her new figure and that feeling of losing her identity. With this slump, her confidence is low and she doesn't feel desirable. Dave, her husband sees her in completely different eyes. When Kara and Dave get the chance to have a weekend away, will they find their new normal? These nuggets are the perfect listen for my walks. I am completely invested in the story, love the friendships these women on the street have and the way Melanie James solves their problems. It's steam and real life all melded together!

Holly Jackson brings it all to life with a fabulous narration. She is wonderful and her storytelling is spot on. I love her voices and she is perfectly cast.

Kara & Dave is a sweet story about and married couple reconnecting after having their twins. Kara & Davis is sweet and steamy and I loved the themes of asking for help and loving yourself after childbirth. I love how loving and supportive Dave is and the beauty of friendship.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This second short story in the Eveiller Drive series wasn't as strong as the first. The circumstances were interesting, but the development lacked. I felt like the mother-in-law was randomly thrown in without any real rhyme or reason. I still like that these stories focus on the realistic conditions that can stifle romantic love within a marriage.

What makes this so darn sexy? When Dave stands up for his wife! I really enjoyed that snippet. That mother in law is vicious! This is a shorter story but still packs all the punches! I did listen to this on audio.

Take that Mother in Law

I found this story really cute and I loved to see the husband stand up to his mother to defend his wife. I also loved their time just the two of them, sometimes a husband and wife need to get away to be just a couple.

Until Next Time.... Tabi

This is a short story, book number two in the Éveiller Drive Series. This can be read as a stand alone, but it is a continuance of book number one Ava and Will. This is a romantic book about rekindling a strained relationship, meant for adults only. This is Kara's story, I feel she represents every woman after child birth. She is insecure with her new body, and the stress of everyday life of a new mom and wife. She has a group of best friends whom she adores and can depend on. Dave is a hard working husband whom tries to make his wife happy, anyway he can. He is restless from their non existent sex life but tries to understand as best as he can.

This is Kara and Dave's story, they are new parents to four month old twin girls. Life is very hectic, and life doesn't slow down well except at bedtime, where all they both want to do it sleep. Kara is a stay at home mom, whom put her writing on hold, she just can not devote the time needed. She is torn between working and being a full time mother. She doesn't want to give up either, and she feels she is a failure to ask for help. Not to mention her evil mother in law doesn't help matters at all. Kara is insecure with her post pregnancy body and she is unsure of her husband reaction to her fuller curves. So she is slowly secluding herself from his advances, and he is at a loss of what to do. With the help of her closest friends she is determined to get her sexy back.

Dave is a devoted husband and new father, he works outside of the home, but he knows that Kara is wore out from the daily chores of staying at home with the twins. He has offered repeatedly to hire some help with the girls, but Kara is hard headed and wants to manage it alone. He feels that Kara is receding back into herself and he is determined to help her come back to him.

Favorite passages:
"He said he loved her curves and judging by the passionate way he loved her, he honestly meant it."
"Plus, my monster-in-law is coming over tomorrow and I have no idea what the beast wants."
"Who would have ever thought her best friends were such perverts."
"They seemed to dance in the light."
"Hanging from the word Love were two tiny identical charms."
"The kiss was filled with the love she had for him."

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a short story, the second book in the Éveiller Drive series about 6 women from different backgrounds living on Éveiller Drive, not only are they neighbors but they become steadfast friends. They meet together once a week for coffee and to vent about whatever issues they are experiencing in their marriage. Like so many couples now days, they've set their needs aside only to concentrate on their children, jobs, and bills. However, they all have one common problem, how do they bring spice back to their marriage? The women come up with a game plan. They will each take turns to watch each other’s children so the couple will have some “Adult” time alone to spice things up.
This is Kara and Dave’s story. Kara is struggling trying to juggle being a new mother their 4 month old twin daughters, her writing career which is currently put on hold and her self esteem issues. She is torn between working and being a full time mother. She doesn't want to give up either but can’t seem to find the time needed to do both. Then there is the non-existent sex life because of her insecurity with her post pregnancy body.
Dave is a devoted husband and new father; he works outside of the home, and can’t help out with the twins. He sees that Kara is exhausted and offers repeatedly to hire help, but Kara is stubborn and wants to manage it alone. Throw a meddling MONSTOR-IN-LAW to make things more complicated and you have a recipe for disaster.
Will Dave stand up for his wife against his mother? Will Kara decide she needs help or give up career? Will their marriage be saved? Pick up this book to find out. I love this series because it deals with real life situations between married couples and how they deal with it. Although it was a short story, it was fast paced and included a lot of hot steamy sex scenes that had your blood pumping! I highly recommend reading this story! I can’t wait to read about Laura and Alan’s story! Awesome job Melanie James!

Kara and Dave story comes second. Kara and Dave have a few months old twin daughters and as a new mom, Kara is having a hard time with her new mom body. Being a new mom had made her self conscious and she feels ashamed showing her body to her husband. So as one of the six friends, she will get to go on her own Romantic Getaway with her husband Dave.

Dave is the sweetest husband, but he has to figure out how to be a better husband. Having Dave’s mom for a visit even just for a few hours was a nightmare. Poor Kara for having to deal with such a monster-in-law, but having Dave around help out a lot. Dave is such a sweet and understanding husband handled his mom the best he knew how.

Soon the Romantic Getaway was on the way. Kara didn’t feel right being naked around her husband, but that changed soon enough. Dave made her feel as beautiful as she always has been and Kara relaxed right away. Just like the first book, this book is sexy as heck. Love this series, I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

I really enjoy these visits to Eveiller drive and all the banter that goes on at the women's weekly coffee circle. They are the perfect example of what sisterhood means. This week Kara received the help she needed to realize that she doesn't need to go it alone with house, twin babies, the mother in law from hell and work. Time alone with Dave is long overdue. With the help of her Eveiller Sisters, along with her husband Dave, mommy dearest is at last put in her place, and she has the best weekend ever as they show each other how deep their love goes and promise to make time for each other from now on. ....I have to say that this series should be read by husbands as well as wives. This stuff is far better than any marriage councillor.....Way Hotter Too!!! I can't wait to visit again to see what's in store for Laura and Allan..Laura has given some great feedback to the group, let's see if she will accept some of the same when she gets the call for action!

This is the second story of the series of the six couples that live on Eveiller Drive. This is Kara & Dave's story.

Kara and Dave have been married for 6 years and have 4 month old twin girls. Kara has been overwhelmed between being a mother and housewife. She also misses her writing job and has gotten into such a funk! She misses the intimacy of her marriage because she's just too tired at night. Dave also misses having the great sex he used to have with his wife. Kara gets help from her friends of the Eveiller coffee klatch group. She approaches Dave about the idea of a weekend getaway. After all, look what it did for Ava & Will!! Dave loves the idea and makes all the arrangements at a posh Resort in the honeymoon suite. He even takes care of the situation with his witch of a mother, who isn't fond of Kara.

Even though this is the second book in the Eveiller Drive series it can be read as a stand alone. Kara is struggling trying to juggle being a new mother to 4 month old twins, her career and her self esteem. Dave feels his wife slipping away. Throw a meddling monster-in-law to make things more complicated. Will Dave stand up for his mother or his wife? Will their marriage be saved? Pick up this book to find out.

I love that this series deals with real life situations of a couple and how they deal with it. The characters are just like the couple next door. Everyone might learn a thing of two from these books on how to bring the romance back to a marriage.

I have read all of Melanie's books and she packs a punch in her novella's. They contain such a great storyline in a short amount of time. Kudos to another great series.

I am giving this review for author Melanie James. This is part 2 of the Eveiller series by the author and it is best to read the books in order because where part 1 ends part 2 starts.

Kara and Dave have been married for a few years and after the birth of their twins Kara was feeling the pressure of having twins and her lack of a sex drive was causing her concerns for her marriage. Dave was almost always working and the pressure was building because he thought he was not being a good husband or father to the girls.

These characters are great because they are a normal next door couple with new babies in the house. I loved the smooth flow of the story and I really expected nothing less from author Melanie James and her writing.

Because of the sexual content in this book and in this series this is for mature romance readers. I can't wait to read part 3 of this series.

This is the 2nd book in the Eveiller Drive series. This is Dave and Kara's story. After giving birth to twin girls, Kara was feeling very down about herself, as well as her love life with her husband. Lucky for Kara, she has some amazing friends who helped her not only feel more secure with herself, but helped her rekindle the love with her husband dave. I love how these books are so true to life and it is easy to relate to them. i cannot wait to read book three!

I just finished reading the second book in the Éveiller Series. I can't tell you how much I enjoy these books. I love how Melanie James shows that if a love is strong enough even after kids it can stay just as strong. A woman's body changes after kids and this story hit close to home for me. Kara has a low self-esteem after her kids are born and starts to neglect Dave in the bedroom. But after a talk with her neighbors decides it's time for adult time. I love this series so far and am excited to see what's next!

This second installment of Eveiller Drive is as amazing as the first! Kara has serious after baby issues wither her body, yet Dave sees nothing wrong with his wife. After Kara realizes its all normal she is ready to move forward and Dave is happily waiting for his beautiful wife. There is one other obstacle in their life though, its Dave's negative mother. I love how Dave handles her and comes to Kara's rescue. (Keep in mind she can handle it herself, but sometimes its nice to have a knight in shining armor to rescue the damsel) I cant wait to start on book 3!!

This is the second story in this series. The stories are about six couples
that live on Eveiller Drive. The women have a coffee club and decide to watch
each others kids to help put a spark back in their marriages.

This book is about Dave and Kara. They have twin girls and have been married for
six years. They have also had to deal with his mother being horrible to Kara.
Check out what happens and see if they can light that spark. This is another
great read from Melanie James.

Another fabulous book in the Eveiller Drive Series. Kara was feeling a little down in the dumps after giving birth to twin girls. Not wanting to give up on her motherly duties her work , house and sex with her husband has been out on the back burner. Having wonderful girlfriends is always a plus they chip in and help her out but..... Her evil mother-in-law Victoria likes to push her buttons... Finally Dave realizes this and puts her in her place. Loved this so much....

Kara is self conscious of her post pregnancy body. Who wouldn't be after having twins!! A sweet sensual story of a couple's journey reconnecting sexually. In a loving relationship a woman had to learn to trust and open herself up to the live of her husband and know that he loves and adores her no matter what. This is the lesson Kara learns in the second novella of the Eveiller series. Greatly entertaining! !

Apart from the grammatical typos I was totally into this story.
I understand how having children can affect a woman's body image, especially if it was never particularly great to begin with and how keeping the peace with in-laws can be tenuous at best at times. This couple had me laughing at their solution.
