This was probably a compilation of her newsletters perhaps. Many of the tips are outdated or those interested in organization already know. Tons of paper tips but since we are mostly paperless, no longer applies. But tips on every little thing about a house and life, so I still grabbed a few tips. BEST PART of this book? This book was written in 1990. Considering that, there are parts that are useful and parts that are humorous since it is almost 30 years old. I'm not sure when I bought it, but I picked it off my shelf to just get it read. I'm sure there are more up-to-date books that you could purchase if you were really looking to organize yourself. Actually just go to www.flylady.net and pull yourself out of CHAOS with her systems.
I found this to be a book in which a naturally organized person creates a lot of systems to "save" the naturally disorganized. The author has a few good tips, but otherwise offers chapter after chapter of simliar advice without accounting for different personalities.
Naturally organized folks are not likely to reach for this book. Readers looking for an organization book are more likely to identify with Carol Barnier's book: "If I'm Diapering the Watermelon, Then Where'd I Leave The Baby--Help for The Highly Distractable Mom." Barnier recognizes the strengths of this person, and offers tips that help her own distractable personality keep order.
