A refreshing change up to most non-fiction children's books about the natural world, featuring some traditionally less glamorous animals such as moths and wasps. Filled with lots of explanatory photos and specific animal-related words that make for a pleasant learning experience for (perhaps) older readers, as well as young ones.
This is an exceptionally great little book for young readers, either for reading by themselves under guidance, or reading along with a spoken narrative. The accompanying pictures on each page add interest and each creature shown is identified. Recommended starter for kids to learn about the animals around them.
Once again this is an awesome self read for third and forth graders. I love the simple read but the great pictures that go along to support the text. It had me looking at each page for a long time just to soak in some of the awesome images. Great photography.
I like how the pictures are realistic and the book explains all kinds of different animals and the way they live in their home. The pictures fill the pages and this could be great for a science lesson on habitat and animals. I would read this to a lass ages k-2.
