Personal, helpful, concise, direct, informative. Ferebee isn't afraid to go deep into some taboo topics: contemplating suicide, porn and masturbation, human mortality. Pick it up once you're out of crisis mode, done wallowing in self-pity, and ready to move forward.

However, some of the suggestions are almost laughable when your "breakup" is actually a sudden divorce after over a decade of marriage and you have several children together:
- Avoid seeing her for a certain amount of time? Impossible. I have to see her almost daily because of the kids.
- More money to spend on myself and not on her? Not with the terms of our divorce settlement, no.
- Remove her from social media? Ok, but even if I could ignore her completely, I still have to field frequent, painful questions from the kids, talk my friends and family into being civil, and diplomatically interact with the now ex-in-laws.

The Bottom line... Once you can actually listen to Joy Division again without breaking down and sobbing, pick up this and a copy of Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" for a much needed dose of real perspective. Stay calm, maintain a steady course, and remind yourself that everything is transitory.

While the book does have good tips and insights into the male and female brains. I couldn’t shake the feeling that the whole premise was more in line with “gaslighting” and helping men become more of a “womanizer” than truly working on bettering yourself.

I know what Andrew is Talking about in the whole book. I just read this book because I wanted to get a glimpse of how man recover from a breakup and to be honest it's pretty much similar for both men and women. So, the Breakup Manual is not for just men but women too, so it's the break up manual for humans overall. I pretty much agree with Andrew except the chapter i.e. Understanding the biology of breakup. That chapter to me is flawed. Else the suggestion and practical guide the book offered is something you should apply and that's how you are supposed to deal with breakup and you should. It's the healthy way. I swear the breakup is an opportunity for everyone to heal from all their past and trauma and everything. So that your future family won't suffer from your negative patterns. Because by healing yourself you leave those patterns and get yourself out of the loop ♾️.

It really is a manual

This was one of if not the best book on breakups I’ve read. It’s not a step by step, it truly is a manual— guide on how to respond to a break up and not forcing us one way or another, but showing us the paths that we will eventually cross. Because the author has already navigated the speed bumps and hurdles.. he is informing us of the same speed bumps and hurdles we’ll eventually meet on our own path. However… in whatever we choose to do after a break up… Live.

Perfect guide for breakup recovery as title suggest

I am at my last stages of breakup recovery and i wish i could have read this book earlier. As my progress happened since my BREAKUP it was all well said in book already. And if you are at starting stage of your breakup i suggest you you should read it once and please importantly apply it to your daily life. It all in your heads. So get out of there and make it place where you can live peacefully. Happy reading.

very good read

This was a good book that I decided to read. Men need to realize the true value of being a man in the relationship. This book gives you an abundance mindset vs scarcity mindset. Also tells you about finding the true value for wanting your ex back. It’s def a good read if your currently going thru a breakup. The best part of the book is when the author mentions your winning regardless of any decision your ex makes. Use this breakup as a chance to grow.

This book is a gem

This book will allow you to do 2 things at minimum:

1. Look at your ex differently
2. Look at yourself differently

You will get an understanding of her and her actions and how to handle the situation. The only thing you will need to do after reading this book is take action.

Listened to the audiobook twice, and I have to say everything in this book is so accurate, it is insane how you can't really see clear when you're going through a breakup, but once you pick yourself up, you can walk into a room and light it up and people notice you.

A book about break ups that every man should read before his next relationship.

A great book to understand all the things you shouldn’t do immediately following a break up. Read it before it’s too late.

It's a compilation of blog posts. I do find it helpful for someone desperate or deep into depression.

It is quite simple and straight to the point.

Helped me a lot.

I know many of the things in there but it’s a good reminder mixed with empathy needed from a man to a man.

More of a blog post than a book... Simple, motivating words but nothing mind blowing here, still helpful content if you feel stuck.

I wouldn’t say it’s all the pieces of the puzzle you might be trying to solve. There are usual perspectives, and analogies though.

I’m not gonna write a review now as I discovered this before I discovered good reads but on my book the title says”… and get your ex back (if you want). I think the “if you want” part is really important and this book is great for men who don’t want their wives back also I can’t say if the getting your ex back part works lol.
