Electric pulses of pleasure landscaped their bodies when they touched. Staring into each other's eyes they quietly appreciated the flux of emotions activating every synapse. Talia had been waiting her whole life to find the one, while Bodhi always knew she was. Their connection was divined and equally fated with the twists of challenge set to test their devotion to love one another. A warm embrace to them represented an unspoken promise of forever. Within each others hearts they were finally home.

I’m sad that I’ve finally finished the last book of this romantic trilogy, but I am very happy with how it ended. Although, I’m left quite speechless of all the new events that occur in this book, I wouldn’t change a thing! As we’ve read from the previous two books, Talia is on a spiritually journey of self discovery and now you get to witness her last steps. Her final journey gives her the key she needs to fight off the demons in order for her to be truly happy.
Since the start of this book, I was already swooning over Bodhi. His vulnerability towards Talia and the cheesy, yet loving things he tells her only make me fall more in love with his character. I am very happy that Talia finally reconnects with him after so long. She is a very smart, independent, caring woman who has dealt with too much pain in her past that you can’t help but want that ‘happily ever after’ for her. And, Bodhi just might be her ever after. She finally feels at home when she is with him, something she has always been craving. She has created an unintentional emotional barrier throughout her lifetime, she is too scared to open up fully and allow herself to be vulnerable towards him. After thirty-four years, I feel she has finally met her match. However, there’s no perfect relationship. When there's too many good things happening to Talia, you begin to wonder when it all just might come crashing down again. Bodhi seems to be all in for her, but is Talia for him? Their relationship certainly gets tested in this book - trouble in paradise. Yet, you can’t help but keep rooting for them.
Another relationship that gets tested is Brad and Talia’s. When he begins to see how much Bodhi is starting to mean to Talia, he begins to feel jealous. This certainly frustrated me as I was reading. He finally was able to fall in love with someone and have his happiness, all the while Talia had to accept it. Yet now when it seems Talia might find her happiness after all, he becomes distant. Can Brad finally accept that Talia was never really his in the first place? (You’ll have to read to find out)
This book certainly gave me more emotions than the previous two. I smiled more as I read, I cried in between and laughed at the chemistry between Talia and Bodhi. It’s quite evident there’s much more passion between this two characters now that they have finally reconnected and are fighting for their love. This new romantic trilogy is written so beautifully, you can clearly feel and see the character’s emotions. You can’t help but get emotionally invested when you begin to discover Talia, her journey before Bodhi, and now her journey with Bodhi. I’m glad with how it ended. I can clearly label Talia’s journey as an emotional roller coaster, but it’s one I’d gladly ride over and over again. These books are now being added to my favorites list, and I HIGHLY recommended them to all of those who believe that no matter the past, every one has someone out there for them. You just have to be ready in order to be found. :)
Eager to read Truth Devour’s, Sated, I found myself finishing this novel in just 1 ½ days. I could not wait to see what Devour had in store for the main character, Talia. Was Talia going to let down her guard? Was this guy really her soulmate? What new expeditions would she take; and what lives would she touch? However, Sated took a different path unlike Wantin and Unrequited. Talia is no longer the secure woman readers have grown to love. Instead, she has somehow morphed into this sappy, insecure, uncertain, love stricken woman that is so different from the Talia in books I and II. But why?
Why did Devour transform Talia into a typical love-craved, hormonal, indecisive woman when she was everything but typical? Was Devour’s intention to show us how true love changes a person? Was it because at some point, in order for Talia to obtain all that she was deserving of she had to open herself to love? I am not certain what Devour’s intention were, but if you’re thinking this book is going to be similar to the first two…let me tell you this, “It is everything but similar.”
I was somewhat disappointed with how the story evolved, but then again, when I allowed this book to stand alone without comparing it to the first two novels, I can honestly say, “This is a great love story.” To refrain from this review being a spoiler, I will only tell you that everything that Talia desired and everything she’d denied finally becomes her reality. I can also tell you that yet again I found myself weeping as the story evolved and was very upset with how the book ended. There were parts in this read that really pulled at my emotions and others that helped me to believe that true love does exist. This is another MUST READ!
Sated is book three of the trilogy by Truth Devour. As with book two, the story just keeps getting more complicated and exciting. You want to find out if Talia is ever going to find her “true love” or if that is even possible. Talia has finally been reunited with her childhood friend, Bodhi, or Billy He tells her he has been looking for her all his life. They met in Haiti when they were six and made a very quick and lasting connection. When he and his family moved back to the United States, he was almost inconsolable about leaving Talia. When his family tried to contact her, she and Marlee had moved. When he was old enough, he looked and looked for her and finally had the good luck to run into her on terms she ran. She takes him home to visit her family (her aunt and her childten, grandchildren, etc as Talia’s parents had died when Talia was six.) During this visit, Talia had to deal with her cousin, Brad. The connection between Brad and Talia was very deep Brad wanted to marry her; but it was not permitted for cousins to marry. He had left to forget her and ended up married to Suzanne, who Talia felt was his “true love” despite his continual assurance that he wanted to marry Talia. Suzanne accepted Talia as an extremely close relative of Brad’s and decided if she wanted Brad, she had to accept Talia. The two of them grew very close. After this home visit, Bodhi turns strange. He blames Talia for his losing two big deals for his business and tells her he wants to go back to his ex-fiance. Talia can do nothing to persuade him he was to be with her. He turns hard and cold. What happened to the warm loving man she knew him to be? Why the sudden change? Is there anything she can do or will it come to a head when the family gets together the next time?
I do believe that this third book is the best of the trilogy. The characters are well developed and the plot is complicated. Where will finding the answers take her?
Review for Sated by Truth Devour !!!!Spoiler Alert!!! (Once again I tried not to give too much away and feel that even if I did, it still wouldn’t compare to the experience of reading it all yourself.) As Truth Devour continues her story about Talia we are once again taken across continents on another wonderful emotional journey. Lessons are learned and truth is spoken once again in what seems to be the end of this delightful tale. Talia starts this book off having found and reunited with her one true love. A bit of fear and doubt still plague her at the start of the relationship. After finding a friend in an unlikely place she decides to go with the truth she already knows… that she loves Bodhi. As the two begin the relationship, passions rise. The sensuality of their connection in the bedroom is awesomely written. Returning home to introduce Bodhi to her family, Talia is once again solving problems and making things right for those that she loves. Just when it seems all is well, things take a complete turnaround. Balance needs to be restored in Talia’s life in more ways than one for all that had been predicted to be able to happen. As such we are once again plunged into the mystical imagination of Devour. Talia must now overcome many obstacles, one being her past. With this series, Devour has written a great tale full of love, loss, happiness, and every other emotion you can think of. Wonderful imagery, involved characters, and an insightful way of looking at human nature blend together to create a story full of magic, mystery, and universal balance. The journey I’ve been taken on through the life of Talia was excellent and I was happy to be along for the ride. (I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.)
This book was fantastic!!! I sincerely hope there is more for this series!! I would love to see where Talia's journey leads next. I laughed and cried so much in the same reading it completely wore me out, it was fantastic!! This book as with the last two was beautifully crafted from the characters to the storyline, the ups and downs Talia experienced with a bit of the mystical added in that is so much a part of who she is. The writing was beautiful and uniquely worded. Once again I absolutely loved the addition of the Australian words added in, they gave emphasis to the scenes and were so uniquely Talia that I was excited to hear them. After so long she has her soul mate and became happy after so many ups and downs. The ending was absolutely perfect and no less than I have to come to expect from this tremendously brilliant author! The scenes were perfect all the way through the book, just enough information to help the reader really visualize everything and yet, not too much as to be overdone. I am completely in love with Talia and Bohdi and their lives together. It has not been an easy road for them but it made them stronger, each setback or issue to be worked through or fought for, made them stronger. I do have to say I absolutely loved Mable and wish I had her in my life, she was such a beautiful angelic character and I instantly fell in love with her. I love how the relationship dynamics in the relationships Talia chose to keep close to her heart are still the same and yet different at the same time. It was all so very realistic. I truly hope this series becomes a series of movies or even a tv show, it would be perfect for it! Once again, thank you again to this wonderful author for sharing their talent with the world. You have a dedicated fan in me!!

5 fangs!
An awesome conclusion to the Wantin series. Talia is finally reunited with her childhood friend, who she learns is her soul mate in every way imaginable. She feels more at peace in his arms than she has ever felt before. She knows with all of her being that this is it for her. She decides to take Bodhi home to introduce him to her family and Brad flips his lid. Talia can't figure out what his deal is. He ends up taking it out on Suzanna. Talia feels she must correct the wrongs between them even if it means that she will no longer be welcome in their lives. Can she make them each understand her new relationship as well as how she truly felt for Brad? When she and Bodhi return she doesn't hear from him for days. He's completely ignoring her and will not return her calls. She finally gets annoyed and confronts him at his office. Bodhi tells her that everything between them was a mistake and it's over. Talia is so heartbroken that she completely disconnects from the world and flees to a Monastery in China. She's hoping that the Monks can help her heal her soul and mind. After two months she feels whole again, the Monks confirm that the mountains have helped ease the pain in her soul. She leaves the Monastery with plans to take in the sights, but she stumbles onto answers to questions that she never was going to ask out loud. Now her next choice is what to do with this information as it could change her life either way. Must read especially if you have been following the series. Follows the same ebb and flow of the previous two books, but it's still an emotional flood dealing with everything that Fate has decided that Talia needs to go through.
I received this book from the author direct and at her own expense.
The third book in a trilogy is where the story ends. I have a few mixed feelings about this book and the trilogy as a whole.
The writing style was always enjoyable, it flowed and was readable throughout the trilogy. The characters were real, the main ones were rounded out with back stories and they were not as unlikeable as the protagonist seemed in the first book.
She lived a life that could have been real and maybe was based on a few real people. The travel aspect of the three books took the reader to a lot of interesting places. She lived, loved and lost and tried to make a difference to the lives of others.
Overall, I enjoyed the trilogy and if the author ever publishes more works I would read them (about four months after getting them is about typical). The author has talent and a gift for writing.
So, why only three stars for the third book?
I'll be honest and say the sex and the repetitive nature of it stopped this book getting four stars. I don't mind reading about sex but it started to bore me in this book. I enjoyed some of the scenes in the book and did feel the main character did grow throughout the series.
As a series overall the books get three and a half stars. Book two was the best one in my opinion and the most enjoyable read. I would recommend the books to lovers of erotic fiction, those who like a supernatural element to their books and lovers of travel writing.
Again I thank the author for the opportunity of reading her trilogy and I hope she can take some positives from my reviews.
This is the third book in the trilogy by Truth Devour. It's important that you read the first two books, Wantin and Unrequited, as they add to Talia's character and show how she became the person she is in book 3.
The first book shows the obstacles she has to overcome, while the second book reveals how she finds herself and goes down the path of self discovery. All three books are full of romance and high emotions, which will throw the reader on a roller coaster of feelings. The third and final book, is wrapping up all the loose ends and bringing everything together. Her search for love is finally over, and I have to admit, the love she finds is pretty cheesy.
She's a smart and independent women who is deserving of a loving man, who she reunites with. Even when issues arise, they still find themselves together, and despite all the negativity you know they will find happiness with each other. The issues that do complicate their relationship make them appear to be realistic and ordinary. Books that have perfect romances seem implausible and unrealistic, which is the complete opposite of this tale.
It's beautifully written with a romance that is unforgettable. It was amazing to watch Talia grow into the person she is at the end of the trilogy. I'm sad for the series to end, but I enjoyed the road Truth Devour took me on, along side such a strong and giving person like Talia. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to read the series, and recommend it to all the romance junkies out there. Definitely a 5/5 for all three books.
Here's the last book of the trilogy. And I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.
The adventures with Talia is a roller coaster of emotions. Although on the first two books it seems like she doesn't have much emotions. But in this book, she found her 'the one' and promise to never let go again. I am so excited to read their journey together. They've been looking for each other their whole lives and now they're at each others' arms.
I love the way Suzanna feels. It's true and realistic. Because any wife would react like that if her husband is sulking for days and it's because of another woman.
There's still the Talia that I knew from book 1 that's perfect, always going with the flow, and doesn't have much problems to face. She keeps touching other lives like she's an angel or something. It's surreal.
"A week before I had been giving up hope of ever finding love, stating that I didn't believe in fairy tales, and then in a blink of an eye this had happened."
I really can't connect with Talia. Even with her heartbreaks. There isn't much to feel, you know? Like one minute she's hurt, the next thing she's traveling to escape her sorrows, then going back like nothing happened.
If she could just feel the way Suzanna feels when she's hurt, because that's more human than the way Talia reacts to certain things.
I will recommend this book to my friends who love to read paranormal romance. This book is great but maybe not for me.
In the third book by Truth Devour, Sated, heroine Talia Jacobs finds herself face to face with her childhood friend and seeming soul mate, Bodhi. He is the one she has unconsciously sought her whole life, and he is finally within arm’s reach. He seems to recognize their bond too, until he doesn’t. Will Talia fight for their love, or regress into herself, as is her nature? Will they be able to finally, really connect, or is Talia doomed to live a life as only half of a whole?
Sated picks up immediately where Unrequited left off at the masquerade. It is pretty clear that Talia’s life is about to take a drastic turn from her previous path, and I was disappointed to see her lose her internal monologue to some degree. One of the strengths of the writing was the ability to “see” Talia work through her emotions to find herself, and while there is still quite a bit of this in Sated it is diminished, somewhat, with a lot more description of what’s going on outside rather than inside. The external monologue felt rushed and a little flat, compared to the rich and emotional internal monologue. The addition of Bodhi, while necessary and welcome, seemed to present more of a writing challenge, as his character was not quite truly fleshed out, either with a vibrant internal monologue like Talia has, or through Talia’s discovery, which I think was the intent. However, just like the previous two books it was a good, sexy, new agey read, and I think it’s a logical path, if a little bumpy with the writing and tying up loose ends.
I was gifted Sated, by Truth Devour, by inkspand in exchange for an honest review. Thankfully Sated picks up where Unrequited left off and Talia is meeting and getting to know Bodhi. Bodhi has never forgotten Talia and the love he felt when he was 6 years old in Haiti. Talia had forgotten him in the aftermath of losing her parents, the move to Australia and the life she has made for herself after leaving Haiti. I love that Bodhi didn't rush Talia to remember and repeat her one-night-stand lifestyle she has had in her past. He makes himself and Talia wait until he knows she loves him before he makes his moves, although Talia has made attempts several times already. As I expected Brad has issues with Talia's growing love for Bodhi and becomes jealous. Talia continues to grow as a person who is instrumental in bettering the lives of others, such as Mabel who had the love of her life, Walter, for several decades of companionship. Mabel had a courtship similar to Talia in the fact that Walter knew he loved her and she would love him for always, much in the way Bodhi has loved Talia as long as he has and knows she will love him as well. I am sad this is the final installment in the trilogy. I will definitely recommend this book to friends and know I will be rereading the trilogy again and again. I'm sure there are story-lines and twists that I have missed! I am giving the book five stars. I have no other choice!
HER YING TO HIS YANG This was the best book of the Trilogy because Talia finally found her one and even though the road became hard it was the best of her life because Bodhi was everything to her and she to him her Ying to his Yang it was a beautiful love story an absolute connection between two people most people never experience what Talia and Bodhi felt for one another he had known since they were little kids that she was his true one and even though they didn't know it they were always in the vicinity of each other no matter what part of the world they were in she was just not ready for him even though he thought he was ready for her because no matter who he was with he always told them about Talia. Sometimes their is someone who doesn't want your happiness above their own and will do anything to make themselves happy or what they think is happy while taking something from another. Finally after finding out that someone was doing something evil to Bodhi preventing them from being together and that she could help him she went about doing so as soon as she left the Monastery with help of a Chinese woman she was able to clear his soul of the evil and they made it back together. Great Story. You will enjoy it.
When Talia returns to the US she attends her friend thirty birthday party and ends up at a club where an Irish band is playing. She ends up giving her cell number to one of the members of the band and nothing thinking twice when she did.
Next day she is texted for coffee thinking it is the band member and does not think twice and goes off to meet him. Instead of the band member she is greeted by Billy aka Bodhi whom she meet in Haiti when she was young and spent a few months before his parents and himself went back to US.
Their connection is overwhelming as well as fated. But as they struggle with their devotion to love each other things start to unravel with them. Are they really meant to be together?
When Talia brings him home, Brad realizes that she never felt that way about him as ends up fighting with his wife. Talia and Suzanna finally had their talk about Brad and make peace with each other as Suzanna realizes that Talia is not a threat and wants their marriage to work.
Will Bodhi be the one that Talia been looking for all her life? As they paths once cross paths again, will their circle be complete together. It comes down to timing and being ready for the moment
The final book in the series and I truly wasn't ready to say goodbye. The ending, while satisfying, still left me wanting more, not only from Talia and Bodhi, but Brad, Suzanna, Michael and everyone else. The book begins after Talia and Bodhi have been reunited, but the course ahead is not to be without it's problems. Once again this book takes you through many emotions, many continents and many cultures. It's a story of love, loss, joy and so much more. The descriptions that are written take me to the lands both here on earth and in the other world. It's a beautiful story and I was very pleased to go on this journey with Talia.
I had a few issues with the whole series which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. The writing was wonderful and there were only a handful of editing/typographical errors in each book. I realize that Talia, who is telling the story, was Australian so the language that she would use would be different than that of an American. A portion of the story takes place in America, but I still found those characters using words which weren't normal for our culture.
A much better book then the previous two - which in hindsight feel half notes on the characters and jottings.
I still have issues with the main character - she just steamrolls her way through situations and what little dramatic tension is mustered is soon dissipated by her heavy handed treatment of everyone. At no stage did I not think Talia will get her own way, because that's what she always gets....even the dramatic situation with Bodhi fizzled....because Talia gets, what Talia wants.
The writing is much improved, and though Talia swans through the book in her usual immaculate way, I did think this book was more cohesive than the previous two.
I'll be interested to see how Devour progresses with her writing.
The final book in the trilogy. It wasn't quite what I expected. I know some things were gonna have to go down when I saw Talia was with Bodhi and I wasn't even halfway through the book. It wasn't a bad story, but I do wish we could have seen exactly what Lex did to get Bodhi under control. Was it voodoo, or some other form of magic? exploring that would have been a nice option. I also found the ending a little off. It was a bit rushed, and seemed weird that she was going to die, but didn't. No explanation was given. Other than that, it was enjoyable. I liked the progression of the story once again, and it was another quick read. It's nice to have some closure to the story. Not a series I would typically read, but it I'm glad I did.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Kudos to the author. Book three of the series left off right from book two. I actually enjoyed the way this book started and kept my attention and didn't leave me wondering what I had missed out on like I did when I started the second book. A great many questions are answered through out but I can see where another book will come from this one. This one has more voodoo mentioned than the others but there is still the betrayal, mistrust, and love that are present across all three books.
Sated brings some closure and realizations that only maturity and experience can bring. This series isn't a coming of age but more a growing up type of story line.
All I have to say is that this adventure was simply beautiful, full of wisdom and had an eventful quest towards love and happiness. Talia's story will forever remain in my heart. I'm so sad that this had to end but really the story never ends and the characters will never disappear as I carry them in my mind and my heart. I usually don't like happy endings because they're predictable and not very realistic. But this one was very well deserved and was fought for throughout the entire series. I really wish to have a short novel or novella in the near future about what happens afterwards with all the characters because I miss them already terribly and I can't help to envisage their future...
Sated (Book 3) by Truth Devour is the final book in the Trilogy. By now you've read the two previous books in this trilogy. If you haven't they this book may not make sense to you. With this book you will need some tissue. It will have you cry some and laugh some so just be prepared. I went through a box. Talia has finally found her soul mate ... Bodhi. This book tells their story of love and their struggle. This is such a great ending of a trilogy. It was such a good romantic read. I loved reading all three books. I recommend it to everyone. I look for more from Truth Devour.
The author sent me this trilogy for review. I felt the third book was just okay for me. It became a little strange with Bodhi and his ex. I mean you know something has to happen because they cannot just be happily together throughout the whole book. This is not the kind of trilogy I would normally read. It is all about a woman on a journey to find herself and her soul mate. It takes some strange twists and turns. Overall it was interesting, but like I said, strange at times. I guess for me I just never related with Talia because we are complete opposites but that is why I wanted to read something different. Overall a good trilogy.
A fantastic conclusin to a brilliant triliogy, Talia is a great character, but until this book you never feel you get the whole of her, but this last book wraps up all of the loose ends and ties a fantastic bow on top!
everyone feels relief at the end knowing talia got the right man, shes happy and gets her brilliant ending, although it is still open to another book or 2 (maybe im hoping for too much...)
i really really enjoyed reading these books and will definately keep an eye on truth devour for future reads!
I was completely and utterly immersed in the final part of this trilogy. the whole way through i became more and more involved and found myself connecting to the character more each line i read! The only down side to a unique novel such as this is the fact that the story has to end ..... All i wanted to do was keep reading but there weren't any more pages to read. Over all it was an epic adventure that i will soon be going through again :) .... Review by Skye Hillier, (daughter of Dawn)
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the third book in the series. Talia and Bodhi have finally found each other. This is their story of love and struggle. This book is a great ending to the series; I really enjoyed most parts of it. There are even some funny parts in this book that had me laughing out loud. If you read the other two books in this series, then this is a must read.
Sated is the final book in the Wantin series. This book picks up after Talia has finally found her soul mate Bodhi. I enjoyed the third book, but parts felt rushed and could have been lengthier to give a better ending to the book. Overall, I have really enjoyed the series and would recommend it to those who like a good read. I can't wait to read what the author writes next!
This stunning conclusion really changed how I think about books and life in general. My usual style of reviewing won't do for this book because there would be too many spoilers involved. I applaud the author for this unique approach. It's made me reconsider how I approach my own writing and reading skills. I highly recommend this series. I look forward to more from this author in the future.
I read this trilogy in 2 days couldn't put it down now I'm waiting on the next book so I can finish the ride we all took for her to get her life in order with what makes her happy instead of her making everyone else happy....please tell me that there will be another to come..
The final book in the trilogy and in my opinion the best. I really liked the plot, and especially the added amounts of paranormal aspects to the story. Great writing, and the plot flow was a lot smoother. I was given this trilogy in exchange for my honest review.
loved that she finally.found love...didn't like certain things that happened but loved what came of them happening. this series was really.good and id love to.see.one more with the kids etc..very very good
THIS IS THE THIRD BOOK IN THE SERIES. I REALLY ENJOYED THE WHOLE SERIES. THIS BOOK BRINGS IT ALL TOGETHER AND GIVES IT A VERY GOOD ENDING TO THE BOOK. THIS SERIES WAS VERY HARD TO PUT DOWN
