he's very charming and roguish in a way that a lot of writers try but few succeed at

Maybe Morrison was trying to make Nikolai Dante a metaphor of life: there are some brilliant bits and then there are bits I gladly jumped over. There were bits with way too much words drowning the pictures, but then there were bits were I could enjoy the pictures.
