Eyrth Online is the adventures of Lawrence Wrath. Just your everyday average stoner, who gets to play the most amazing virtual reality massively multiplayer role playing game (VRMMORPG) of all time;

EYRTH ONLINE

If you enjoy stoner comedies and escapism then this books for you. I have created a Spotify playlist that I was listening to when I wrote these novellas. Each song is the title of the chapter and is the musical theme for that chapter.

I originally intended for you the reader to imbibe some marijuana, start the playlist, and jump into my world. If you don’t smoke that is fine, if you can’t read and listen to music that is fine too. Just read the way you normally do and enjoy the story

But, if you like to smoke some herb and jam out to tunes while you are reading a great book, then I think you will love Eyrth Online. You will need a Spotify account to access the play list, if you don’t have one you will have to gather the songs on your own. Sorry about that.

All characters and events in this series…
Even those based on real people…
Are entirely fictional…
All celebrity likenesses and voices are impersonated… poorly…
All music is not mine, none of it, at all…
The following episode contains coarse language, gratuitous sex, violence, and due to its content…
it should not be read or listened to by anyone.

Eyrth Online: The Green Album – Volume 1

400 pages of Stoner LitRPG goodness, plus 81 different songs on the playlist to tantalize your sound tubes! Could you ask for more?

Praise about this book…

“While I don’t usually endorse forced sodomy… this book is funny as hell!” Me.

“I think I laughed once… Wait, no I definitely laughed one time… I think… did I read your book babe?” My Girlfriend

“I literally pooped myself… but I’ve been sick so… it could have been that.” Some Guy

“What’s a VRMMORPG?” My Dad

“I do believe you have a dangling participle sir.” Tim curry.

It contains episodes 1-4 of EO. It’s FREE on Kindle Unlimited and $3.99 for an Ebook. The playlist has been updated and is on Spotify, The Youtube link is on the bottom! Thanks Matt Westgate! I didn’t even think about it!

Oh, I am going to Thailand for 1 month! I won’t be back till the middle of August. So, I am going to try to push out episode 5, but I can’t promise anything. Thanks ya’ll, enjoy the novellas and stuff.

way too simple ….

It’s a very familiar trope, which isn’t a bad thing, but the books are way too short… Kindle said this one was 596 pages but it felt like a lot less and it was filled with all sorts of filler… People, reminiscing, etc.… I would recommend that book 3 focus more on the main character and his development, rather than just being an exposition… It almost feels like parts were written by an AI

If this is meant to be a slice of life book it is rather boring.

If not, then it is failing. The characters are nowhere near strong enough to support the slow style. All the effort spent on exposition needs to be spent on developing storyline. The fact is that it starts and stops at the same place with nothing of any real consequence occurring in the middle.

This book is more of a 3.5 stars, than 4 but I will give it the benefit of the doubt.
While the first book in the series was sort of engaging with its change of point of view, this one was purely told from Ryo's POV and it is worse for that.
Every second (in a series) book will usually present a challenge to the author about how to approach it. Should they go into a bit of world building, with the added risk of the story treading water. Or should they go all guns blazing in the action of the story, leaving the wrold building for the imagination of the reader. I have seen both approaches succeed, and both approaches fail. And here, I am afraid, is more on the latter, than the former.
So, the author takes us on the journey of the MC while building the story world around him. World, that has quite a potential and yet, for the most part, it is bland and unimaginative - I mean, even the MC wonders how is it that so many skilled people are gathered in the middle of nowhere (the island where the story happens), and yet the explanation and the back stories are rather insufficient and bland. Then, we have very unusual events happening (not going in details so no spoilers) and yet, they are left unacknowledged for the reminder of the story. And finally, this book is serious need of editor. I am no native English speaker, and even I can see how much repetitive language this book has. The first one had it too, but it had pace of the story so one can live with the repetitive language. This one is slower, and it really ticks me off. After the fifth time reading about the MC wondering how crafty the natives are, or using the same analogy he used like 10 pages ago, one kind of feel annoyed ;)

Anyway, I still care about the story, and I am still curious where the main character journey will take him. So it is more good, than negative. But still, ot is not as good as the first book.

Good book, slow pace

I liked what the main character was accomplishing during this book, this book. I can see how bringing up the tech base would be essential to defense of the island. I can appreciate the overall world building that went on in this book. What I didn't like was pace of the book, it was rather slow. I thought the title was a little misleading after finishing the book. I initially thought he was going to learn a new craft, not essentially become the island's head of all crafts. I did like how some characters' background were explored more. I hope for a faster pace
Or a longer book in the third installment. I like this author and look forward to more from him.

Nice enough book, though I seriously dislike the way the book is written like a flashback. While I can understand that flashbacks are often needed for the plot, this author overdoes it for me. After the prologue it starts with "One year earlier". Ok, fine but this flashback is 80% of the book....not so fine. If it's that long, please write the book as is or something. What also happens is that the author uses multiple other flashbacks during this 80%. Part of it is ok and supports the plot, though they could be way shorter and still convey the information or history.

A different and interesting take on travelling back in time, but to a slightly changed timeline.

The new timeline contains Kubla Khan, Marco Polo a
s secondary characters, with the future hero from our future with an AI in his head. This hero lands on a Japanese island and sets out to modernize and save from the mongol invasion.
This second book is interesting easy to read and follow. Looking forward to the next.

Intriguing

How does a Master Chief Chef of the space force handle being thrown through time and dimensions? Can he adapt and survive? With the aid of an AI ported to his nanite implants he has the history of earth and all of technology to draw on to attempt surviving an upcoming Mongol invasion of feudal Japan.

I am fascinated. Add in the cooking lessons, humor, strong character building and I can't seem to put these books down.

A bit branching out

From time to time (it's a time travel book) the Author tend to meander far away from the main story to tell a background story that most of the time act like filler story in anime (Goku learning to drive car? Check). If you can tolerate that, you are in a great ride!

Entertaining Read

Parallel plot lines finally converge. Ryo still is Lord So's chef. Additionally he has become the architect of the island's defense. Modernization of infrastructure, defensive systems, and offensive weaponry ensue. I like the action, humor, intrigue, and romance. I look forward to the next book.

History of the Japanese islands

Like the book Shogun this one creates characters that are relatable, intimate personalities and threats create a tense atmosphere.

Jealousy and fear make for a defensive group. But we have confidence in our heroes so on with the conflict in the next book.

loved it!

Solid book 2. After about 85% of the book it feels like we just wrapped up showing all the new inventions but the end of the book was very well done setting up things for book 3. So I’m hoping we get more of the political hoopla and a couple battles in the next book

Alternative history done well

Come on book 3. I’m more than ready. Alternative history involving Japan right before the invasion by Mongol forces from China. The time traveling Chef with a computer in his brain makes the what ifs even more fun.

Wish there was more

Love the book and the progression. Love seeing what the MC and his AI come up with to help the people. I do feel like the flashbacks from other characters are a bit filler though as the feel needlessly long.

A good read

It is a good book series but oftentimes randomly going into the past to hear some secondary or tertiary characters story was slightly annoying when I am much more interested in the main storyline. I will continue the series

more issues

Time was a little more disjointed in this book, and the motives of the pirates even more unclear. At one point we are told a year has passed, but that implies a certain summit has already taken place, since it was to be in a year.

A well written excellent story of a build up to I hope a lot of action in the next book. Or I will take back two stars. Great characters and you just want to keep reading.

Interesting Series Continues

More crafting and defensive construction occurs in this book, but the story continues to be interesting. The main character is very intelligent and resourceful and is fun to follow.

Too much repetition. Not only was the entire first book repeated but the same stories and parts were regurgitated throughout the story. Sometimes more than once. Disappointing
