I had the joy of reading this for an hour while I was locked out of my house. It was the only book in my garage and I found myself rather entertained to read about all the different superheroes. At least it helped pass the time.

Good book for getting basic information on the main Marvel heroes as well as a few obscure ones. I thought the heroes included were pretty good. Works well for young super hero fans who are looking for information on various Marvel heroes. The information given was good. There is usually a little about backstory as well as powers, alliances, and what group each hero was part of.

I did like the illustrations. Nice visuals to go along with the text. The female characters pretty much all have the standard female superhero build (skinny, big chests, ridiculously long legs), but that is less the illustration's fault and more in the original creation and design.

I did like seeing that there were many females included. From the well-known (Invisible Woman, Black Widow, Lady Sif) to the lesser known (Namorita, Magik, Firestar). Going along with the female representation, some reviews complained that Spider Gwen wasn't included. I don't think this is a fair jab since Spider Gwen first appeared in 2014 and this book was published in 2013. But whatever. There's also a complaint that Captain Mar-Vell was included but not Captain Marvel. Again the timeline is a little fuzzy here since Ms. Marvel took on the name Captain Marvel in 2012. Ms. Marvel was included in the book. Another complaint was that Squirrel Girl wasn't included. Not sure if there are multiple editions of this book, but the one I read definitely had Squirrel Girl in it. Not sure what that was all about.

Anyway, overall I liked the book. It was interesting to learn about some super heroes I wasn't familiar with. Very good read.

A good list of superheroes. A little paragraph for each as just a little summary, about what you'd give to someone who'd ask something like, "Who's Captain Mar-vell?"

However a very specific niche, a little outdated by current standards, like Mar-vell not Captain Marvel. No squirrel girl, no spidergwen

Fun quick read if you are into comics or the marvel series . It touches on the quicksilver mix up in Wanda vision ( I don’t think it was intentional but it makes sense why the directors went that route )

Some of the information was kind of silly or seemed incomplete. It seemed like most of the heroes were very similar; there wasn't anything that made one seem much different than the others. They started to kind of run together; I couldn't keep one straight from the others.

The cover of the Marvel Character Encyclopedia is an absolute stunner. It’s simply amazing how all our favourite Marvel characters have been included in the design.

Also, the quality of the whole book is really great. It has been produced with quality paper and I love how the cover has been embossed.

This book is - as the name already suggests - an overview of all the amazing Marvel characters. You can find some general information such as their measurements as well as information about their abilities and how they came to be the character they are now.

The ᴍᴀʀᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ ᴇɴᴄʏᴄʟᴏᴘᴇᴅɪᴀ is a wonderful addition to every Marvel fan’s collection. We highly treasure this book and always have a great time flicking through it to learn more about our favourite characters. I can highly recommend this stunning edition.

Aimed at kids this is a fine introduction to the wide and wonderful world of Marvel Heroes. Featuring fine vivid illustrations and short summaries of characters ranging from the iconic (Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, Storm etc) to the obscure (Squirrel Girl anyone ?). Not surprisingly, following the success of the film all of The Guardians Of The Galaxy are in there which is fine because that film was FRICKIN' AWESOME :) Even seasoned Marvel fans may find this fine and I found myself coming away from this curious about exploring some of the characters I hadn't heard of before (Cloak, Quasar and Polaris sound very interesting to say nothing of Squirrel Girl).

A good introductory book about some of Marvel's superheroes. It's written for a younger audience, with very basic information about each character. It was a quick, easy read, and I found some of the illustrations to be pretty cool (loved the one of Nightcrawler... but that just might be my biased because I love Nightcrawler so much!)

Cute and simple pen pictures of a swath of Marvel heroes that'll keep the kids happy. It was a little lightweight for an old timer like myself but it'll definitely appeal to the young coves, at whom it is most definitely aimed.

Esta bien como punto de referencia y de partida. Pero si conoces las andanzas de los superheroes marvel, es mas bien escaso.

I really liked this. I haven't heard of half these heroes so it was good to get a little info on them.

I wish there was more of a back story on some of them though.
