The Comfort of Pain

Rate this book
Beth

No one is selling me.

At least, that's what I thought when I decided to run away.

I just couldn't spend one more second in that violent house. Especially not after finding out that my father planned to trade me to a neighboring pack. He said I was a burden and getting too old. So I gathered my pride and left in the middle of the night.

But now I'm locked in a cage anyway, waiting for a pack of vicious alphas to place their offer.

I simply didn't think the black market was real. But after being hunted and snatched, I'm going to be sold off anyway. I guess life really is cruel, but not as cruel as I plan on being to the alphas determined to take me as their mate. I'm not some overly trained wallflower waiting for my prince to sweep me off my feet.

I'm a Northern Omega, born and bred in violent lands, and I'm ready to do what it takes to win my freedom back.

------------

The Black Market Omega series centers around omegas that are captured and sold to the highest bidder. Each book tells the journey of an omega trying to find love and acceptance in a dangerous world.

NOTE:This book can be read as a standalone. MMMMF. HEA. Please heed the warnings before reading.

Someone get the heroine some brain cells to rub together. Being in her head was such a chore. I understand things were very grim for her and her choosing to runaway was her best option. The consequences to that were also far from good but she does eventually end up in a pack that wants to get to know her and treat her better. What eventually killed this book for me? Well you could say that the alpha guy raping her while she clearly says no because he thinks it will calm her and tie her permanently to his pack was a big reason. Also having the heroine consistently repeat to herself in her inner monologue that she would prefer to be in her so-called “home” where her mother and brothers are was an annoyance for me. Since she conveniently forgets to mention that the alphas her mother is with always beat her up and have sold her off to another pack. I’m sorry but wouldn’t it be better to try and make this work instead of trying to go back to where she came from? I understand the mentally of choosing the pain you know instead of the possibility of something good because you already know what to expect with the pain but please give it a rest!! Stop repeating it over and over and over again AHH!

These guys have warrents in three states, own a large property where they build their own large house - yet it's not mentioned once what they do for employment or how they have money. The FMC was all over the place emotionally and with what I guess passes for logic.

I also really hate the term She-Alpha.

one of the mate grapes the fmc & the author labeled it as "dub con", she was screaming no & saying it hurts + in a vulnerable state of mind so the author decided to write some bullshit that she needed sex to settle as an excuse for the grape. it took almost 70% into the book for her to realize that she had a choice in who she could sleep with. The first sex scene in this book was just disgusting, I have no idea what the author was thinking but for me it ruined the entire book

Beth, an omega brutalized by her alpha father, runs from one horror only to be dragged into a black-market omega ring. Her freedom is stolen, her body sold, but not to who she expects. Alphas Killian, Basil, and Tristan, a rough outlaw pack, take her in. They don’t demand obedience. They offer safety, patience, and a home, complete with Jeremy, a warmhearted beta, and a sense of safety and comfort. What starts as survival slowly becomes something else. Something real.

Beth doesn’t trust easily. Years of pain have taught her that life hides a price. But this pack doesn't push. Killian is intense and guarded, Basil is calm and nurturing, Tristan hides guilt behind anger, and Jeremy sees the person behind the fear. Each relationship is earned. Consent is driven by need, and connection unfolds slowly, sometimes violently, often painfully, but always with honesty. The bond that forms between them grows through quiet touches, shared space, and emotional cracks that let in light.

It’s not just about heat and mating, but also control, claiming, need, care, gentleness when needed, and roughness when it's not. Beth starts to laugh, to want, and eventually, to stay with her new pack. When her past comes for her again, full of threats and violence, Beth is ready to stand her ground, backed by the pack that refuses to let her face things alone.

Killian’s strength, Basil’s care, Tristan’s fire, and Jeremy’s loyalty don’t just protect her. They love her, each in their own way. And Beth, scarred and stubborn, loves them back with everything she has. What begins as a transaction turns into deep emotional connection built on trust, respect, and choice. Each member of the pack brings something different, offering Beth something she’s never had before: a place to belong and be herself.

A steamy, MMMMF, RH omegaverse romance, exploring found family, emotional healing, belonging, and rebuilding after being broken.

This was a great start to the series and wasn’t what I expected it to be.
I liked Beth as she wasn’t a beaten down omega, but rather a feisty one, who stood up for what she believed in. I thought that her pack was thoughtful, caring and big cuddly teddy bears! I liked how she was put first.
Each person in the story had a part to play and made it a thoroughly interesting story. I loved the emotion, the steam, the romance and the action. This was a great read from start to finish.

Beth is an Omega living in isolation, hidden in the shadow of a world that sees her kind as either highly protected or ruthlessly exploited. In this dark and dangerous society, Omegas like her are either cloistered away in Academies or trafficked through the brutal black market of Morder. When Beth discovers her abusive father plans to sell her off to a neighboring pack, she runs. But her bid for freedom is short-lived. Captured and thrust into the heart of Morder itself, she is soon sold to a trio of Alphas: Killian, Basil, and Tristan. Given Beth’s traumatic upbringing, it’s no wonder she meets their care with suspicion, mistaking kindness for manipulation. She braces for cruelty, unable to believe that these Alphas might be anything but another cage. And yet, despite everything, Beth never stops fighting. Her fierce determination to reclaim her freedom was one of the things I loved most about her. That said, I couldn’t help but wonder—what was she fighting so hard to return to? A life where she was already promised away, where she could do nothing to protect her mother or brothers anyway? In contrast, the Bava pack offered something entirely different: a place of warmth, protection, and surprising tenderness. Killian, Basil, Tristan—and their beta, Jeremy—were everything her own family wasn’t. They were a family built on love, loyalty, and a deep yearning to care for an Omega of their own. Their treatment of Beth blends protectiveness with desire, and though there was one moment that felt a bit jarring (and no doubt problematic by our standards), it seemed to reflect the norm in this fictional world more than a betrayal of the pack’s core values. Beth herself certainly didn’t emerge from it broken. Beth’s journey is one of painful growth, marked by confusion and mistrust, but also unexpected beauty. She’s blind to the devotion around her, but the pack remains patient, determined to show her she’s not a possession but a partner. Tristan was a particular standout for me. As much as he’s loved by his pack, there’s a quiet outsider quality to him that tugged at my heart. He sees himself as a monster, but Beth sees past that and her acceptance helps him find his place, not just in the pack, but in his own skin. Still, each member of the Bava pack stole a piece of my heart, especially in their efforts to make Beth feel safe, valued, and wanted. The ghosts of Beth’s past inevitably catch up with her, and the final confrontation delivers a satisfying twist—it’s not as one-sided as you might expect. But rest assured, you’ll know who triumphs in the end. While not as dark as I initially expected, this Omegaverse story is rich in angst, heat, and heart. It’s a beautifully layered tale of trauma, healing, and love that doesn’t come easy—but is all the more powerful for it in the end.

Solid.

**SPOILERS**

The world has been decimated and the omega population is low. Omegas are forced into “schools” than train and keep them “safe” until they find packs. It’s well known that an Omega is the best thing to stabilize a pack and keep them “healthy” but there just aren’t many omegas out there.

Beth lives in the wilderness with her fathers, her mom and five brothers. Her pack leader, her father, Burke is an awful and violent alpha that abuses Beth. One day after learning that her father intends to SELL HER to a pack of alphas she decides to run away. But she never makes it to freedom. Instead, she’s captured and brought to “the Mordar” a place (encampment) where Omegas that are “unwanted” are sold off to packs to pay the most to own them.

Pack Brava is desperate for an omega. They’ve traveled a long way to buy an omega. They’re late for the omega auction and when they ask the seller Angelica if there are any omegas left (omegas that were perhaps too “damaged” to make it to auction) they’re left with Beth. They instantly know they aren’t leaving the poor battered omega to her fate, so they purchase her.

Beth is initially terrified and distrustful. She wants to go home, not because she misses her abusive home life but because she misses her mother and brothers and feels as if she needs to go back to “protect them.” She tries to escape but she doesn’t know where she lives, and she has her new alpha “owners” on her ass 24/7. When they make it back to the pack house Beth is torn; these alphas, and their beta are nothing like the evil alphas she is used to. They are kind (dominant sure) but kind and thoughtful and very, very protective over Beth. They build her a nest, give her gifts, and woo her. She misses her mom and brothers but pack Brava is slowly but surely winning her over and making her feel like she’s HOME. When a neighboring rival pack and Beth’s evil alpha father threaten her newfound happiness it’s a race to the end to see if Beth will get her HEA.

**THOUGHTS**

This was a solid pseudo post apocalyptic omegaverse. It doesn’t delve into too much detail on the post apocalyptic front, but gives just enough info to give you the “feeling” of a war torn world with wilderness survivalist and oppressive alpha manned regimes. Beth is a solid FMC, and her alphas are likable and well described. The story is pretty straightforward and there is action and a little drama but it isn’t too “dark” or “angst filled.” It was nice to see Beth start to “bloom” under the care of her alphas and beta, and learn to trust them and herself. I would’ve enjoyed a bit more “drama” and I kind of wish the epilogue would’ve shown Beth either pregnant or giving birth to her first “pup.” But all-in-all this was a solid, entertaining and spicy read.

Not my favorite of hers.

Overall there is not enough background on any of the characters. What do the alphas even do? Obviously sketchy shit since they’re wanted in three cities but there’s no context to that.

Not a fan of any of the alphas. Quite frankly none of them even come off as alphas. The pack dynamic seems off. Jeremy is however a good pack beta. He was the only good character.

You can’t market these guys as good guys who simply want to take care of her and protect her while also having Killian force himself on her that first night home. The guys thoughts and actions come off as sweet alphas who want to spoil her. They rage at the thought of her being abused. They rage at the thought of the black market lying about how they obtain the omegas (how dumb are they if they’re criminals themselves btw? Makes no sense they were clueless). But then Killian doesn’t listen to her when she says no. She’s upset and scared and has been kidnapped and sold and told she’s never leaving what she sees as a prison. And your solution is to fuck her to calm her down and settle her. I get that within this Omegaverse that it’s fact that the omegas need to be tended to regularly but that doesn’t excuse this particular situation. Good sweet alphas try and listen to her and understand why she’s desperate to get out. After she tries to run away Killian seems so offended that she can’t see they just want to adore her. Like for real dude? You attempted to force her the second night as well btw, I wonder why she’s not happy? Her not being able to physically say no because her biology doesn’t allow it when she’s in a situation of arousal isn’t a free pass. Except in this world it is. And while this is considered a dark romance the pack is not presented as morally grey which doesn’t allow for it to work.

I didn’t completely hate Beth. I understand how her mind works. Victims of abuse often go back. They know no other way and she is scared for her mother. The pack did buy her from the black market so even if they’re nice it’s not exactly a good first impression. Neither is declaring that she’s not going anywhere because they own her, even after they find out she’s not some wild lone feral girl. She comes around once she really starts to understand she’s safe and that shows progress.

This is a new series from Kitt Lynn. I read her broken omegas series and couldn’t wait for her next one. She did not disappoint! Beth is raised in a world where omegas are rare and the government takes them from their families for “their own protection”. This of course leads to a world that only the rich and unscrupulous end up getting these highly sought after vulnerable people. Though it is illegal some families hide their omega children and Beth’s family is one of them. Raised off the grid she helps her omega mother raise a multitude of brothers without the help of her fathers. Her fathers (especially the head alpha) believe that because they have sacrificed so much to “protect” her they are allowed to abuse her in the sake of discipline. Knowing nothing else but this she finds small ways to be happy mainly with a beta boyfriend that comes to visit in the cloak of night. When she is caught by her head alpha father he punishes her severely and informs her that he is selling her to a pack she has never met. She takes her chance and runs away to avoid the life he has planned for her at all costs. Unfortunately because the world is so broken she ends up being kidnapped and sold at an underground omega auction. Desperate to get back to her family she fights hard against the alphas and bets that purchased her because she doesn’t want to be someone’s property. Even though they have irresistible scents and a beautiful house. They give her clothing and food anytime she wants but they must want something in return right? She is so conflicted and confused that she can’t see what is right in front of her but her pack is stubborn and will do what they need to help her understand they are there for her not to own her. It’s a great well paced story with flawed characters and a hard earned happy ending.

This is the first book in the Black Market Omega series, which is set in the same world as the author’s Broken Omegas series. You do not need to read that series first though. This new series centers around omegas that are captured and sold to the highest bidder and each book tells the story of one omega, which can be read as a standalone. As this is a dark series, please read the content warnings. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to Kitt for my eArc.

✨ Looking for acceptance
✨ Hurt/comfort
✨ Stabby FMC

The Lovely: I love how the author pushes so much emotion into characters’ relationships that you *feel* what is happening - from fear, to frustration, to worry, to love. In this book in particular we saw not only the dynamics between the alphas/beta and the omega, but between the alphas and beta as well. One of my favorite scenes was one of the alphas comforting (emotionally) another of the alphas.

Recommendation: When the author’s last series ended I was admittedly a little sad. But this new series is already filling that void with protective alphas and hurt/comfort vibes. This is a wonderful omegaverse story if you like something a little darker but filled with emotion and love. Book two in the series is expected to be released in July 2025.

ARC Review

I absolutely loved this story! Although I don't read many omegaverses, I feel like I'm getting more into them, and *The Comfort of Pain* has definitely solidified my appreciation for the genre. This is my second book by Kitt Lynn, and she has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her writing is so easy to read and deeply emotional—I found myself crying, laughing, and smiling throughout.

The characters in this book are truly memorable. Jeremy is such a sweetheart, and I adore how comforting he is to those around him. Killian, Basil, and Tristan are the intense and possessive alphas every omega dreams of having in their life. I was quite surprised by Tristan's moments of slight submission, but it made him all the more relatable and softened his otherwise cold demeanor.

Beth's journey from a violent household to the uncertain fate awaiting her at the hands of a group of alphas is both heartbreaking and inspiring. Kitt Lynn does a fantastic job of weaving together themes of courage, strength, and the struggle for freedom. Beth's determination to reclaim her power in such a harsh world resonates deeply, making her a character you can't help but root for.

I can't wait to read more of Kitt's work, as I will definitely be following her literary journey. If you're looking for an emotional rollercoaster filled with unforgettable characters in a captivating omegaverse setting, this book is a must-read!

I wanted to like this one because I've read the 3rd and the 4th book for this series. Which were great. This one though unfortunately did not meet that expectation. This book is labeled as dub-con, but it is definitely non-con. I don't have any triggers, but I do know that non-con can be very triggering especially because it is by the MMC to the FMC as well as the MMC who gas lights her just before he assaults her. It is very, very blatant that it is without consent as the FMC says no, it hurts and stop MULTIPLE TIMES EACH.

I get that it's alpha's that can't get an omega normally BUT that does not give an excuse to assault someone or because it's under the pretense that once they've had sex and are bonding it's for the omega's health and wellbeing. These are being described the 45% of the book as sweet guys. And then all of a sudden, the tune changes because she has an outburst at dinner about wanting to go home. I would also like to point out that she says she was kidnapped and then one of the guys says to her.... "But we're you really?" because she was taken after she ran away, he tells her no, she was not kidnapped you ran away. Yes, she did run away from home, but she was snatched, grabbed and so one. That is kidnapping. It does NOT matter that she wasn't at home or that someone may or may not be looking for her. She was taken against her will which is kidnapping.

A good start

I've read quite a bit from this author, I'm pretty sure I've read every book of hers, and I have enjoyed them. I absolutely love the omegaverse, and dark omegaverse is definitely my jam.
This story wasn't as dark as I thought it would be. It is the first book, so maybe that aspect will climb. I'm surprised that it has almost a 5 star rating only because I think the plot (and no, I don't recap blurbs) was soft. It wanted to be more. It left questions unanswered. Like, what's up with Tristan's room? Why was he acting so weird, not only after he connects with Beth but even before that. Not clear how they became a pack. I actually can't remember if that was even discussed. What happened to Beth's dads? Did they apologize for not doing anything to stop the abuse? And her bf, whom she "loved," but is OK to be friends with. All the relationships were at basic, almost generic level. Nothing deep. She has an "encounter" with alphas after she cones to the pack, but the situation only serves as the catapult to her being ok with the guys. I'm not sure how she gets taken. She just does.
Again, the layout for greatness was there. It just wasn't reached.

The Comfort of Pain takes the readers deeper into the world that began with her Broken Omegas series. Kitt’s stories always hit their mark. I am forever trying to tap my Kindle for pages that don’t exist!

Beth’s strength is laudable. Even if, as a reader, all we want is for the protagonists to get together as soon as possible, Beth’s conflict and the steady change in her outlook towards the Bava Pack and Alphas, in general, will make you smile in adoration at her child-like innocence.

Jeremy is definitely the one to look for. I loved the Alphas but I found myself leaning towards Jeremy the most. He is definitely a green flag and we all need to one of those in our real lives. Killian, Tristan and Basil are the template for ‘touch her and die’ but Tristan takes it step further with his ‘monster of the woods’ tendencies.

You will love reading the book if you like possessive, caring mates with Alphas willing to go Smash/Stab for their Omega. I am on the fan train for Kitt Lynn’s Omegaverse. You can count on that.

The comfort of pain is the first book in the black market omega series and it blew me away! I almost felt it was a bit lighter than some other series the author has written -those were amazing too, but if you’re looking for slightly less angst then this series will hit the spot for sure.

We start out with Beth. She’s in a rough spot. Her father is abusive and has promised her to a pack she’s never met, she decides to run and is picked up in the wild by omega snatchers and delivered to Morder to be sold at the omega auction. We meet our pack as they arrive late to the auction and they desperately hope to get an omega still.

Killian, Tristan, Basil and Jeremy (our sunshine beta of the pack) are awesome. I loved them, they were a lot more green flag than the usual alphas in the other series in this world. They were understanding and patient. They dealt with Beth’s fear and sometimes bratty ways with kindness and more patience than I would have had. I really liked this pack together, this was a definite must read book! I always recommend books by Kitt but this one was a bit easier on the angst, which can be a nice break if that’s what you’re feeling for the moment.

I received an advanced copy of this book in return for my honest review.

I found Kitt Lynn recently as she is an attending author at a book signing event I’m going to this summer and I quickly fell in love with her broken omegas series.

This is the newest book in the same world and start of a new series. I have been waiting not so patiently for this book and was not disappointed! If I had had the time I probably would have finished it in one go!

Beth is a strong and resilient omega who has grown up sheltered and abused. She decides to run away from home and is snatched and sold on the omega black market. Her journey of learning to trust and eventually love her new pack is sweet and at times funny as she encounters many things she has never seen before!

Killian, Tristan, and Basil are the alphas and such a good balance of dominant and loving. Jeremy the beta is so sweet and loving. I loved reading as they all loved on each other and taught Beth what a loving pack is supposed to look like.

I definitely can’t wait to read the next book in this new series!

If you are a fan of omegaverse I’d definitely give this one a read!

Comfort of Pain was a great story! I was hooked from beginning to end. Beth is an unattached omega who is abused, isolated, and treated poorly and has now been promised to a pack she doesn’t know. Of course she is going to run. But what she encounters when she runs, she could never imagine. The Mordor is a horrible experience and how she ended up there was worse. Her experiences with her alpha father and family who did nothing to help her make her fear all alphas. She assumes every wrong will be punished and everyone will want to control and abuse her. Let’s just say she had no idea what to expect from Killian, Tristan, and Basil. And of course Jeremy is an adorable and lovable beta. Overcoming fears ingrained from birth and enduring such horrors at the hands of her own family should have broken her but Beth is strong and will fight as long as she has breath in her. Amazing read and highly recommend!

Beth in an omega living in what would be considered "off-grid" in the woods with her mom, a few dads (one of whom is extremely abusive - the others just don't step in) and several brothers. She's never been off her property, they don't have electricity, and the only modern convenience they have is running water. One evening she takes off running and is captured by other alphas who bring her to an auction-type setting to be cleaned up and sold.

The Bava pack show up, really wanting an omega and decide SHE is the one. Of course she has NO clue about anything and fights them at every turn - which of course - they love her bit of spirit. Over time she struggles to learn to trust other alphas (and their beta) while they figure out how to have an omega. All while she desperately wants to go home to make sure her mom and siblings are safe.

I've read some of Kitt's books and tbh...there were others I liked better. But this isn't bad. It was a quick read.

Another great book from Kitt Lynn! I love the Omegaverse she’s created and having a series from those that have been through the Mordor is even cooler. Poor Beth has been raised by a family that does not deserve the amazing Omega that she is. Killian’s pack needs an Omega to be whole and they now it but can’t afford it and don’t have the means to procure one via the normal channels. Enter the Mordor. After Beth runs away one night and gets captured she’s luckily or unluckily found by scouts for the Mordor. Due to her injuries she’s not available for that auction but Killian is relentless and wants her regardless. She’s violent, having already unalived one Alpha. Kill and his pack are warned that she might try and do it again. The rollercoaster ride this pack takes you on is worth it. I can’t wait for the next installment to see what Kitt’s going to bring us!

We’ve heard of the illusive Mordor where omegas are sold to those who may not be able to go through official means to get one. This novel we get to follow an omega (Beth) who is caught and sold in the Mordor after running away from her abusive family.

Beth is not a meek and demure omega. She is strong & determined, even if she doesn’t think through her ideas in full.

I found it was a good pacing of Beth learning to trust her new pack. Although Beth’s new pack are not ‘the good guys’, they have a soft centre for their pack members. They adore her and work to build her attachment (and hopefully, trust).

This is more on the darker side of Kitt’s omegaverse.

Another enjoyable read from Kitt Lynn.

So this was the same universe as the broken omega series but this is a new series.

I enjoy the omegeverse world that the author has created and the different dynamics that she covers.

While this omega did have a different backstory to the others which I liked, there was a lot of similarities in the early parts of the book to others in the previous series (so much so that I actually had to check I was reading the right book) which felt a little strange but it wasn’t that way for long.

The dynamic within this pack was lovely and always like the way the author treats betas differently to others in this genre.

This was a quick and easy read. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Omegas are rare and the black market is real

This is the first in a new series by Kitt. I really enjoyed this book and am intrigued by what else we might see from this world.

FMC is a Northern Omega and it is believed that all of them are feral and have zero social and societal skills. However, that is not always the case. The FMC here come from a rough upbringing but she reads and knows of things.

When she runs one night she gets captured by the people with the black market and dubbed violent. She ends up sold to a desperate pack not afraid of her being a Northern Omega.

Her experiencing all the new things is fantastic. Plus each of the men offers her something she never experienced and expected. I absolutely love the sweet Beta as well.

So, we come back to The Morder which you learn about in The Broken Omega Series. You do not need to have read the other books to understand what is happening in this one, I just thought it was nice to have some familiarity with the place and Angelica who runs it. The Bava pack consisting of Killian, Basil, Tristan and Jeremy discover omega Beth there. With Beth knowing only abuse and violence her whole life she is convinced that no Alpha can be trusted, and she uses any means possible to escape her new pack. I enjoyed their hard-fought battle in convincing/proving to her that she was safe, wanted, and worthy. This is a book that draws you in, wraps you up and lets you forget all about those other things you should be doing.

The Comfort of Pain is the first instalment in the The Black Market Omega Series by Kitt Lynn.

Book three in this series was actually recommended to me, but I've been trying to get back into the Omegaverse genre so I figured I would start from book one. This one was solid to me and is my favourite out of the three released so far. I love angst in Omegaverse books and this delivered highly.

This didn't feel overly trope-y and was unique enough that I couldn't really put it down! I enjoy Kitt Lynn's characters and writing style and it really shines through in this one. I don't really have much else to say beyond this is a quick, easy, fun read and has everything you would want in an Omegaverse universe!

I loved Kitt Lynn's Broken Omega series and was excited to start her Black Market Omega Series, which is set in the same world. She did not disappoint. In a world where Omegas are rare and without rights, Beth is an omega that has been abused by her parents and grew up in the woods with her family leading a primitive life. She runs away and ends up in the Black Market and claimed by a pack. Beth is very distrustful and hides her feelings, but eventually, she realizes that through their actions, the pack is there to keep her safe and happy. The HEA is well earned. This is a dark book. Please read the content warnings. Do not go in blind if you have any triggers.

What a stunner of a read! ♥️💜 From the moment I began reading, I could not put it down. The story, plot and awesome characters had me sucked in. The Comfort of Pain is set in the same world as the Broken Omegas series which I absolutely love. It has the perfect balance of plot and spice. The spicy goodness is mouth-wateringly delicious. The characters are rich with personality. I love Beth's spunk. For all the shit life has thrown at her, she is one strong Omega. It was too hard to choose a favourite between the guys. Between Killian, Basil, Tristan and Jeremy, I could not pick a favourite.
Can't wait to see what Kitt Lynn delivers in the next book of the series.

Easy to read. Uses all the common omegaverse themes: virgin, traumatised omega sold to the black market, needs a pack for protection. It takes her a while to trust them then her heat kicks in and she's mated to them. Meanwhile her abuser (alpha father) attempts to kidnap her back and her pack has to save her.

Here, the omega, Beth, is supposed to be twenty five years old, but she comes across as much younger. The other characters could also do with some character development but I guess the busy plot puts constraints on that aspect. All in all an ok read, but Lynn has written better books.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

AHHHHH. i really really loved this book. this was really my first Omegaverse book, i have read shifter books where people deal with heat, but not the whole shebang of Omegaverse and because of Kitt Lynn, i think i am VERY much a fan and now need to be taken by some alphas 👀 please check out the trigger warnings for this book! it definitely deals with some heavy topics but it all works so well in this story. this books has the best mix of plot AND spice! i really loved this story so much and im so thankful it was my true introduction to Omegaverse!!!

I love an omegaverse story and Kitt Lynn delivers some of the best that I've had the opportunity to read.
Beth has to work through some deep rooted trauma before she can accept the love from her new pack. This touched me on a deep level as I am coming from my own abusive past.
The dynamic between Beth and the Alphas blooms into a beautiful connection as they show her that they will protect her at all times.
This was a 5⭐️ for me and the intimite erotic scenes scenes were perfectly placed 4🌶

I appreciate receiving this book as an ARC!

Loved!

This was such a good story! I really enjoyed it and wasn’t expecting it to be the way it is. The plot, characters had me intrigued from the beginning.

I really liked the FMC Beth and how feisty she is, she stood up for what she believes in and I absolutely love it! I love the pack she ends up with they are so sweet and they put her first which I love!

Overall, I enjoyed this story and recommend if you love omegaverse then you should read this beauty! I can’t want for more by this author!
