Rate this book
Good deeds never go out of style, and neither does a timeless character like Clifford!

This beautiful Audio CD Edition of 'Clifford's Good Deeds' is sure to inspire just as many good deeds—and laughs—as it did more than four decades ago.

Clifford has a big heart, but whenever he tries to do good deeds for others, his big size and personality always seem to get in the way. A sneeze sends just-raked leaves flying and a simple tail wag splatters paint all over the neighbor's house! But when a family is in danger, Clifford is the only one who can rescue them. This time, Clifford's BIG heart makes him a BIG hero.

Meet Clifford and Emily Elizabeth in an original Clifford book!
Clifford is big. Clifford is red. But most of all, Clifford knows how to be a good friend! In 1963, Norman Bridwell published his very first 'Clifford' book, and kids have loved him ever since. He's an adorable dog whose well-meaning bumbling's have great kid-appeal. Clifford is Emily Elizabeth's, & everyone's, favorite big red dog!

Clifford tries to help a neighbor boy do good deeds, but instead he simply spreads more chaos and destruction . . . like always. Once again, a convenient emergency causes everyone to consider this menace to society a hero. And this is the second fire, so I'm starting to wonder if Clifford is an arsonist, setting these fires on purpose to burnish his reputation.

This is J. Jonah Jameson reporting . . .

Emily Elizabeth and her faithful big red dog, Clifford, decide to help her friend Tim, a boy scout, do good deeds for those around them. But because he is such an enormous dog, everything Clifford does ends up going wrong. But Clifford uses his size to his advantage when he puts out a house fire and rescues two children. Naturally, he deserves the citation he receives. Who wouldn't love a dog like this or relate to his heroism? It's pretty amazing that these books have been around since the 1970s.

Pretty sure the Avengers should call Clifford up. That town doesn’t deserve a hero like that.

I absolutely love this book as it has a good thing its trying to teach my kids about doing good deeds for others. Also knowing that sometimes things just don't work out right and it's a-okay. I love the illustrations in this book and how it's the original and it's so very colorful. I love the text through out this book and how it's simple for the little ones but also has a good meaning. I recommend checking out this classic book.

Clifford tries hard to perform some good deeds--but for the Big Red Dog, some things are more difficult than they seem.

Very riveting. Read two times in one sitting. I am still wondering what happened to the heavily injured man that was lying in the middle of the road that Clifford chomped up in his mouth. Did he survive? Were the doctors able to save him? I had a sleepless night due to this being left unanswered.

Clifford is a giant red dog. His owner, Emily Elizabeth, is his best friend. When their friend Tim wants to do some good deeds for people, Emily and Clifford lend a hand. They help rake leaves, but Clifford's sneeze blew them all away again. They helped paint a fence, but Clifford's tail spilled paint on the house. They try to help a man with a flat tire, but Clifford blows too much air and pops the tire. Clifford feels bad because all of their good deeds turned bad. Then, someones calling for help! There's a fire! Clifford's tall back is perfect to save the people on the second floor, and he uses water from their pool to put out the fire! Maybe good deeds do pay off.

This is such a cute book, and I grew up loving Clifford the Big Red Dog. The stories are so cute and the pictures are too, I mean who doesn't love dogs? Generally, these stories are great for children to hear and teach good lessons. Great read!

I would love to have the Clifford series in my room, because I think children would enjoy them a lot. These books are great for young readers and great for teaching life lessons!

I love reading novels to my children, especially when they are ones that promote more reading to my kids, because they relate to something that they already know and enjoy- like a popular kid's TV show. However, I have found that the older my son gets, the more he's beginning to realize when they just don't make since.

The ending in each of these Clifford stories were abrupt and sudden, and some of the things that Emily E. and Clifford were doing just didn't make since (like playing with bear cub?). When my five year-old and point out to me that that was dangerous, I know that something just doesn't add up the way I expected it too. I love the show, they are thought out and well done; however, I felt like a few pages had been taken out each of the stories so they were all incomplete.

This book is a great read it has real meaning to what it means to try and never give up no matter if you fail or succeed. I love how Clifford did not give up helping people even though every time he helped it went wrong until he found a good deed that only he could help with at that moment. Loved his spirit and how he enjoyed helping others that is something all students should learn.

5 stars simply because I laughed so hard when he legit launched that cat just like the meme says! And the poor owner faints as the cat sails through the air! Comedic gold. I mean, my 4 year old laughed at most of the misdeeds, but all this time I thought the meme was completely made up...somehow it being true to the plot was even funnier!

As a child, I loved reading about Clifford. At age 19..I discovered that I still do! This story has a great lesson about helping others and doing the right thing, even when nobody is watching. Children will love this short, funny story about Clifford and his adventure.

Emily Elizabeth and her big red dog Clifford were helping their friend Tim do good deeds. With Clifford's participation, almost everything was worse after his help. The motto of this story is "Be Big, Be Responsible." Great story for children, and fun illustrations.

I've always liked to read the Clifford books to preschool age children because he makes them smile. It has been in my collection of preschool books that I have owned since the early 1990s and still is popular when I use it when I volunteer to read to preschooler.

In Clifford's Good Deed he tries so hard but as he tries to help his big size gets in the way until the last good deed of the day with Emily Elizabeth and Tim turns out just right as Clifford saves the day.

The Big Red Dog makes children happy to hear about his adventures again.

Poor Clifford tries to do a few good deeds and because he's Big Clifford, they don't quite work out that well. An old favorite. I will always adore the Clifford stories and illustrations.

Clifford tries to do good deeds, but messes up a lot of them because he's so big. Finally, he finds a good deed that really helps and gets an award.

I'm glad Clifford isn't perfect, and this book shows that despite that he's still a great character.

In "Clifford's Good Deeds", Clifford goes around the neighborhood with Emily and her friend on his back. And they help everybody who needs help. It made me feel happy.

I love Clifford. In this installment, he tries his best to do good deeds, but he keeps messing it up somehow. This book was on my school's pillars of character reading list for 'citizenship'.

Another cute story about Emily Elizabeth and her dog, Clifford, with cute old fashioned art. Doing good deeds sure is hard for a big red dog! My children and I enjoyed it very much!

Clifford tries to do good deeds but he's too big and clumsy. Eventually he find something he's useful at.
