The Mystery: A Tale of Two Wars by Ray Comfort is a fiction book with a great message. While I have read many of the author's other books, this is the first book of fiction I've read of his and think he did quite well with it. The book is well written and fast moving. As some other reviewers have stated, the story line jumps ahead in some places, but not in an annoying sort of way.

While I am not a speed reader, I was able to read the entire book in three days. The story includes some adult themes, and for that reason I suggest it for anyone age 16 and older. A good book with a great message!

This was a very interesting story about a Jewish-American boy becoming a man and finding the true meaning and mystery of life. I thought it had a wonderful Gospel presentation, and I found it hard to put down. It takes you through the horrors of Hitler's reign and the Holocaust, and all over war-torn Europe and the United States. Thank you for the free book, Ray, it was a very good fiction novel that had a lot of historical facts!

This is an awesome book, in my opinion. It isn't just an exciting read, but it is also filled with faith & information to help you find faith in God. This helped to strengthen my own faith, and gave me a new zeal to live for the Lord each day. I believe it would be a great book for anyone to read, and if you are honest with yourself - I feel that it could open up a whole new understanding of God & what He has done for us.

I thought this book is a great quick read. It's based on historical events of Nazi Germany. This book also gives the Gospel message very clearly. I would recommend this book to everyone to read.

My equivalent of DFN is skimming through pages of this book. It was slap in the face preachy with sermons going over a spread of pages about three times. It was written like a biography except hat it was fictional so the story lost most of its power. and I really did not care about the characters. I thought it was aimed at younger readers at first but though noting went into detail there was talk of torture, rape, unfaithfulness, and a few chapters randomly thrown in about a character who was not the main character and was doing drugs deep. It felt like one of those Christian books that because they are so preachy coupled with an uninteresting story that make Christian look bad, I doubt anyone who was not a Christian would even finish it simply because it was so in your face.

When I read a historical fiction book it want a good story and not just every fact crammed in.

And if I want to read about life changing conversions then I will read a real biography, because those stories can be amazing!

I can see what the writer was trying to do but it just does not work for me and probably not for a lot of others too. He could probably write a good theological book or non-fiction, but this book is not one I will be keeping, and I hardly ever get rind of books... I usually just get another bookshelf.

The book is a bit choppy, it doesn't "flow" together. But overall the message it a great one.
