I really enjoyed reading this book. Cornelia has a very clear and simple way of walking the reader through questions and exercises that help you to realize how much we tolerate in life just because that's the way it's always been when we can make active decisions to design our lives differently. For instance, one of my favorite tips was to create clear criteria for saying no and yes to things. Make clear boundaries so it is very easy to see if a new project or activity will fit into your life the way you want it to. If you always want to spend evenings with our partner, then you default to no for anything that interferes with that unless it is truly urgent and important. Another tip that I really loved is to look at the things in your life that you are tolerating because you always have, but which you would really like to be different. We can go through our whole lives tolerating things that we could actually change. All it takes is someone like Cornelia to make us stop and recognize it.

Came across this book on my friend’s shelf last week. I found it easy and pleasant to read since it covers only 6 chapters (spoiler :D). I would say this book is an easy-to-navigate way to help its reader arrive at their purposes quickly. By demonstrating designed actions for every issue in the process of designing life, the author is successful in shifting her philosophy and mindset into a productive strategy which helps show step-by-step guidance for readers to become wise creators of their own life.
One last thing, though it is not time-consuming to finish the book, you may have to spend more of your time implementing your own design practices while reading.
