4 1/2 stars, I have been obsessed with this series since I first read Damaged and the Beast and since then I have impatiently waited for every book that comes after and Ms. Hunter is shooting out great book after great book( and doing it pretty dang fast). After reading about Winnie from the previous book I couldn't wait to see who she really was and to see what she was hiding behind her all the quiet. I can't lie since I read about Dylan he has also been someone I have kept an eye on waiting and hoping for his own story so when I heard Dylan and Winnie would be together I was even more hooked.

Winnie had a horrible life she was abused in the worst way a child could be till The Knight's specifically Kirt came storming into save her and brought her to a family that would cherish her and nurture her but most importantly give her a place to be safe. Dylan didn't have the same types of problems as Winnie in fact he was never abused but he was ignored and his parents were anything but loving, Since than Dylan has searched for a place to be accepted and loved. When Dylan laid eyes on Winnie he knew she was what he had been waiting for, and even though Winnie was shy and quiet she was still around. Then Winnie and her sister were taken after that she shut everything out.

Dylan was more than happy to wait for Winnie and told her so but when Winnie see's him hug another girl Winnie realizes that it's too late. Stepping in to help one of the only people she loves Harlow, Winnie's sister talks to Dylan and makes it clear that Dylan should make his move. Winnie couldn't be happier to date Dylan and learn that he has in fact waited for her but she is also terrified, knowing Dylan is worth the risk Winnie agree's to a date.

As Dylan and Winnie start to date Winnie finds it hard at first to open up and to not think about her past or to remember her past when she is with Dylan. With the support of Dylan and her family Winnie starts to open up more each day and move passed the memories that have held her captive for years. But the passed doesn't stay gone forever, and it will take the help of not only Winnie's family but Dylan to pull her through. As they begin to build a life together Dylan will be put to the test, and together Winnie and Dylan will finally find what they both always dreamed of and some they never dreamed they could have.

Ok I love this series, each book is as good as the last if not better. Every time I think the next book can't be better or different Bijou Hunter goes and proves me wrong. Not only does Bijou Hunter know how to write a alpha but the woman knows how to write about sensitive subjects that most people would have no clue how to handle let alone pull off. Each book brings a new light to her writing skills and the sensitivity she is able to show to her characters, while giving them each their own story. I loved Dylan he was possessive, and strong but he was also so gentle with Winnie I couldn't have not fallen in love with him.

Winnie was a great heroine I can't imagine going through her past and even though she was shy and hurt she was unbelievably strong to survive and live her life while striving to have her happy ending. Winnie's family was amazing and Harlow brought me to tears with the love she showed to Winnie. And with all of Bijou Hunter's books the epilogues leave me in seventh heaven, me being a epilogue junkie Ms. Hunter's epilogues are always the perfect ending to every book. I can't wait to read Harlow's happy ending, we are given a great glimpse into Harlow and I just know her book will be the perfect ending to one great series. This is one of those series that I will be sad to see end because I have come to rely on this series as being one I can count on among a sea of mediocre books these books stand out as greatness .

Another great read in this series. As with the last one , it still wasn't as good as the first couple. It really could have used some action. I loved Dylan though and was glad to see he got over being an asshole!!

I am a big fan of the Damaged series and have read every book so far. Unfortunately, I noticed a pattern with Ms. Hunter that bothers me. This is the 3rd book in the Damaged series where the h has been gang-raped. The next book in this series also involves the h experiencing rape by one or more people. In every case, the h experiences the assault for a week to several months. I remember another book by this author, Gator, where the h has the mind of a child and is used as a prostitute by her father. So it is yet another case of a h being assaulted sexually. I do not understand Ms. Hunter's fascination with this type of crime. It disturbs me that it is used so frequently in her stories.

Anyway, back to the review. I could not warm up to Winnie; there was nothing that made her stand out. In fact, she seemed to be a combination of Farah (h from Damaged #1) and Mia (h from Gator). Her need for a doll at her age made her seem too childlike, especially when she brought it with her to Dylan's house. Plus, why would Winnie's parents let Dylan stay in bed with her when they just started dating? For such a religious family, they were really open about their daughter having sex. I thought going to church all the time would make Winnie have some kind of connection to God but she never mentions anything related to religion. She seemed to have no qualms about having and wanting sex with a man. She has sex with Dylan pretty quickly and even gave herself some medication to keep calm during the encounter. It was horribly unromantic. I wished the Dylan would have asked Winnie on a date instead of Harlow forcing the issue. Plus, Harlow was so annoying as a chaperone. I did not like Harlow either. She seemed like a combination of Raven and Bailey. Again, the character did not stand out. She is the third character in the series to fight at the arena and at this point that angle has dried up. It makes me think that Ms. Hunter has run out of ideas for the female leads in this series.

I like the glimpses we get of the past couples. Although I still don't like Tawny or Judd. My favorite is Cooper and Farah. I didn't like that some of the couples are seem tickling each other or staring into each others eyes lustfully. Those were not the glimpses I was hoping for.

In sum, I am on the fence about finishing this series or continuing with this author.

Damaged but amazing.

With the exception of 'Gator' which I just couldn't read no matter how many times I tried I've loved everything else Bijou has done and she's become one of my favourite authors and the 'Damaged' series has been incredible, in fact I can't believe that 'Damaged and the Saint' Harlow's book is going to be the last one I just hope at some point she fits Sawyers book in there somewhere because I simply love Sawyer.
As we know from previous books Winnie's life has not been easy, it's not until this book that we truly appreciate the living hell she's been through, all the girls in this series have been through a lot, some more than others but I have to say this book was for me the saddest that's not only due to what Winnie experienced but Winnie herself, you can't help but love her and I'm so happy that Dylan is just so perfect for her, they're made for each other and it's beautiful and sad at the same time.
I loved catching up with the crew, Bailey is just as awesome as always and Sawyer, as I've already said I really, really hope Sawyer gets her own book at some point.
It's a shame this series is drawing to a close since I could go on reading about these guys for ages yet but I suppose in reality there has to be an end to just how many truly damaged individuals can descend on one small town.
I'm now waiting for the next book and then after that I'll be looking out for other books from Bijou and hoping that they try to come close to this series.

3.5+ RATING-I liked Damaged and the Bulldog. It was a bit more of a NA read than I usually read but was typical Bijou Hunter all the same. Maybe it seemed like a younger read because of the personality and troubles related to the heroine.

I do feel like I was at a bit of a disadvantage since I skipped over the last book in the series, but I didn't think I had it in me to read a whole book for Bailey. I'll probably go back at some point and try to. Looking forward to reading the next book.

Dylan Campbell knew Winona Todd was the woman he was meant to spend his life with, call it love at first sight or fate, whatever it is he knew where his heart was. Winona feels safe with Dylan, she has not spent much time with him but she is drawn to him. Winona had a painful beginning in life and it wasn't until Kirk, the President of the Reapers MC, found her did she truly begin to live. Dylan has to use his patience and let Winona set the pace hoping that one day she will be all his.

Very good story. I did think Winona was a bit of a contradiction in a couple of the areas in the books. Dylan was an intriguing hero, he is rough but with Winona a gentle giant. I am anxious to see Harlow's story and all the favorite characters are back in this book.

I loved the premise, but I think it should have stayed in one POV. The switch in POVs distracted me from the story.
I was unable to connect even though there was nothing wrong with the characters.
Winnie suffered years of abuse when she was sold.

I don’t know what I was expecting from Damaged and the Bulldog but I know it wasn’t the sweet love story I got. Dylan and Winnie’s story was heartbreaking but also uplifting with the sheer number of “wow, that’s sweet” moments.

Years ago, when Winnie was a child, the Reapers MC found Winnie amid a nightmare, not just damaged but completely and utterly broken. Even knowing that she had wounds that were so deep they would never heal, they took her in, gave her a family, and decided to do everything they possibly could to give her the tools to heal as much as she possibly could.

I was leery of Dylan when we were first introduced to him in Lark and Aaron’s book. He was a jerk towards Lark, his step-sister, as he tried to please his complete asshole of a father. He redeemed himself when he protected her after his father and uncle viciously attacked her. Finding a new family and friends within the Reapers crew was all well and good, but what he wanted most of all was Winnie. He knew, especially after she had some setbacks, that he would have to wait until she was ready. He also needed to convince an entire uber-protective MC that he was worthy of her.

This wasn’t a hot and steamy romance, but a slow and steady love story about a man in love with a woman who had some serious issues. Dylan completely won me over with the hoops he was willing to jump through for Winnie. He knew she would never be “cured” and he would always have to tread carefully in some things. He knew to treat her with care and that he would be battling with her demons for the rest of his life if he went the distance with her.

As for Winnie, she was the most damaged yet of all the heroines of the series. As her history unfolded and the extent of her damage was made evident my heart just broke for her. I’m all about heroines who are badass and can take care of themselves yet Winnie was the complete opposite, but I loved her anyway. By herself she was not strong and never would be, but with her family and the MC behind her, she found what she needed to be able to battle her demons and to go after Dylan, the only man she ever could imagining touching her.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dylan and Winnie’s slow and sweet romance. I also loved the unexpectedness of the love and care that the usually rude, crude, and socially unacceptable MC showed towards a completely broken little girl who they saved from a nightmare.

When broken meets determined

Winnie has had a life of horror. Only good part is her adopted family. Then she meets Dylan. He is brave, handsome and everything she wants. Dylan feels things for the skittish little brunette he has never felt before and must help her battle the demons of her past to win her and through that he gains a family like he has never had.

Reading how Winnie has grown and all she went through was so heartbreaking but also monumental. The author has a way to interconnect everything and have you wanting more. I loved the growth and understanding of Dylan also.

Heart tearing, ugly crying emotions... that’s what this Author pulls out of me just in the first few chapters, no one does damaged broken people slowly gluing each other’s shattered pieces together as well as Bijou Hunter. And make me laugh in the midst of sobbing.

Facing Her Fears.

This is part of a continuing series revolving around an MC. You will definitely enjoy this book much more if you have read the previous books, as there is a large group of friends who all have shared history. There is no cliffhanger.

TRIGGER WARNING: This book covers subjects such as child abuse and sexual assault in the past and current mental health issues. If any of those subject matters cause you emotional difficulties it might be advisable to avoid this book. If you have read the rest of the series, the way these matters are handled in this book are similar to how they are handled in the rest of the series.

We met Winnie in previous books. She was rescued by the MC from a truly horrible situation with a rival MC who had kept her in a locker chest unless they wanted something from her, which was usually something that would brutalise her more. She’d been there since she was young. She has been badly damaged by her past and has anxiety and panic attacks, for which she takes medication, and has undergone significant amounts of therapy. She often retreats into herself to hide from her pain. She is incredibly shy and it’s only recently that she’s started talking to people other than her adoptive family. As well as being damaged she is sweet and supportive to her friends and family, is organised, hard-working and loyal.

Dylan was introduced in Lark’s book. He is Lark's step-brother but he had a crush on her and borderline stalked her, on his father’s orders. He did as his overbearing and controlling father told him to in an attempt to gain his approval, but he never did. He finally stopped being controlled when he saw the harm that his family was doing to Lark. Since then he has broken free of his family and has focused on his business and become part of the crew of friends that Lark is now part of.

Dylan and Winnie are very attracted to each other but Dylan doesn’t feel good enough for Winnie and vice versa. Eventually, Harlow, Winnie’s sister takes pity on them both and sets them up for a date, which she has to go on because of Winnie’s inability to speak to Dylan.

This is such a strange courtship but it makes sense in the context of the characters. Winnie is very damaged and needs her family to keep her safe but she still longs for Dylan. Dylan isn’t as undamaged as Winnie thinks and as they get to know each other more they see the truth of who each other is.

I’ve always been fond of Winnie’s character as she is so kind and sweet. She works so hard to overcome the obstacles that life has thrown in her path and keeps getting up in the morning and facing her fears. Dylan started out as a character I didn’t much like but has slowly redeemed himself throughout the series, to the point when I was glad to see him get his girl. The HEA is heartwarming for two people who care about each other so much, and have had to overcome a lot.

This book was fine, after reading Shane’s story I wanted to read his parents and I will say I did like this one better. It still could have been developed a bit more but I liked both Dylan and Winnie and their friends were great as well.

Amazing

Harlow has been through hell and back. I can't imagine the hell she went through. How could she not be damaged after being sold to an mc. Harlow has issues with touch.

Dylan's child wasn't a walk in the park either. How do you learn to love when your parents marry people the way people change socks. Dylan has lots of anger and rage.

But what happens when you crave the touch of someone when being touched scares you. Or when the person you meet quiets the anger and rage in you. You do anything you can to keep them including sleep in your car outside their house like a stalker.

Loved it! A breathtaking sweet love story that has angst. Winnie has survived a horrific and devastating childhood. Since being rescued she's only been half living until meeting Dylan. He is patient and understanding with Winnie and wants a future with her. Dylan has his own issues but nothing as dramatic as what Winnie has endured. Loved their characters and how they worked together. Loved how the author brings the other characters into the storyline. Would recommend. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Another entertaining story in this series. More on the sensitive end of the spectrum with this story between Winnie & Dylan. Winnie has had such horrible things happen to her in her past that you struggle right along with her in believing she will ever be able to find love and be able to.stomach the touch of a man. Very sad. BUT Dylan has the patience of steel and he knows Winnie is worth it. Very sweet story. 4 solid stars

This book in the series was okay for me - I couldn't warm up to Winnie and I totally get she was very damaged as a lot had happened to her but I kept thinking she was like 15 but she much older than that. I related more to Harlow than I did with Winnie. This was the sweetest book in the series - Dylan was sweet and I get why he had to be like that as Winnie needed to feel security.

I still love Bijou Hunter and I am looking forward to reading Harlow's book

A sweet love story about Winnie and Dylan (contenders for cutest couple in the series)

Dang, all these characters are too young to be so eager to pop out babies!

I love this series and there's only one book left to go (Harlow's Story). I'm thinking that Harlow may actually find love outside of Ellesberg.

Dylan's book should have been called Saint! He really is a sweetheart. Winnie was too f'ed up for me to connect to. Totally sad, not bad. But still way to odd to be a relationship I would be into. The book was good though and enjoyed reading it.

Boring, boring, boring and boring. Nothing happens. Weak characters. Read the first 2 in the series and found them enjoyable but not this one. 5 star reviewers obviously read a different book to me.
