Fated Mates #4

Loving Amir

Rate this book
In a world where love defies time and destiny, can a quiet artist embrace her fate with a supernatural king?
In my quiet life of painting and solitude, my only companion is my elderly neighbor, Sarah. She encourages me to seek love, but I feel as though I'm waiting for someone special. My dreams are filled with a striking man—Amir—who unexpectedly walks into my diner, enchanting me with his charm and supernatural presence. He’s a powerful blend of vampire, shifter, and warlock, making him one of the mightiest beings alive.

As my feelings for him grow, I realize that loving him comes with complications, especially with a hidden threat looming over me. Amir insists that I’m his fated mate, and while I’m irresistibly drawn to him, I must face the challenges of loving a monster. Can I accept this destiny, or will it lead to my downfall?
I've found her—my precious Anora. She has no idea how long I've waited. After many visits from her future self, hope faded when I lost the Great War, leaving my children cursed and unable to find their mates. Four centuries later, I fell into madness and a six-hundred-year slumber. Now, the curse is broken, and I awaken in Anora's time.
She’s young and naive, unaware of the curse binding her bloodline. My first goal is to win her heart; then, I’ll claim her as my mate and make her the queen of Wintermoon. I must also break the curse so she can embrace her true identity as a witch.

However, enemies from my past want to stop me. Our love sparks a prophecy for a second Great War, and they believe taking Anora is the only way to rid themselves of me. I refuse to live without her, and I’ll do anything to protect her.

Finally! The book we've been waiting for. King Amir's story. I've been intrigued by him since he first showed. Now that the book is out, my feelings are...torn. On one hand there were interesting things happening, new things being discovered and plenty of action. On the other hand, this book had a lot of filler chapters. There were a lot of chapters where nothing was happening or was important to the story. A lot of space was taken up. I also felt like Amir was neutered in this book. In the past stories, the little we got of him, he was badass. In his book, he came off as passive a lot.

He didn't reveal himself to Anora til a 100+ pages in because he was afraid of her rejecting him even though everytime he visited her when she slept, she always whispered his name. He was reluctant to kill Aya, even after all she did because he was still holding on to hope she could be saved. According to his logic, it wasn't really her but the dark magic, even though she was the one to start dabbling in it in the first place. He put a lot of things off that should've been handled immediately. Amir was sometimes badass and passive a lot of the time in this book. The same Amir from previous books, he was not.

While I loved him and Anora, who I think complements him well together, I also was not a fan of how long it took for them to have sex. Tessa's books are normally filled with lots of sex scenes to go along with the plot. Amir and Anora didn't have sex for the first time until page 305. Chapter 33. 70% into the book. The book is 433 pages. We didn't have to wait this long in the previous books, I don't know why Amir's book had to be different. There also wasn't a lot of sex this book period. It was heavy on the plot and action more.

The final showdown with Aya was lackluster imo. Like that's it? That's the battle. If that was going to be it, she should've been dealt with last book or earlier. It was disappointing. Not going to lie, I was kind of disappointed in this book. Amir didn't live up to the hype I had for him. The book as a whole was ok. It wasn't terrible. I haven't read a bad book by Tessa yet but compared to the rest of the series, it fell short for me by a lot. With that being said, I will be reading Hazel's book when it drops. I've been wanting her to have a book since she very first showed up. I love the fact that her mate is going to be a dragon shifter. A Bailey witch and a Ash Clan dragon. Two outcasts together. I can't wait. Hopefully, that book will be better.

A.R.C READ

This book had me clucking my pearls and holding, holding my breath, and fanning myself 😂

The author details about Amir, his sisters, and how he came to be the king of Wintermoon brought the entire series together.

My favorite part in the book was the end when Amirs sisters showed up!!! Let’s just say that it was a full circle moment and I wept.

10/10 recommend

Minor Spoilers but Heavens to Fate

I love how Amir is written. I can almost hear the ancient tone in his voice and that he’s centuries old. There’s such an amazing transition between him and Anora and the language difference used. They are so distinctly 2 people.

The way Amir speaks about society today sends chills down my spine that make me forget it’s a story because he speaks truths to where and who the world is in 2025.

Amir is strong and caring but also terrifying and demented and I feel that in almost every page.

Poor Hazel. I feel for her.

Tessa put her SOUL in this. “Because she’s Black” almost broke me.

I’m really enjoying seeing more of Andrew. He brings a different vibe. I like seeing more of the vampires. A vampire shifter fated mate would be great!

The meeting!! Oh my gosh my heart can’t take it! The best first meeting ever. There’s a really good combination of slow build & insta love that I didn’t realize I appreciate in a book.

Andrew’s story. Oh man Tessa - this book is so much darker than the others. Can Andrew find a mate too?!

That darn lion’s tail every time haha!

This book is haunting. Beautiful but sad but sensual. I felt every emotion possible.

It’s an unexpected ending of all things perfection that ties Fated Mates 1-3 into a gift.

Tessa hit it out of the park again.

5 star read.

I enjoyed getting to learn the history of wintermoon through Anora's eyes. I was disappointed that they couldn't start a family of their own, I know the curse and fate and all that but still.
I also loved the dialogue between Anthony and amir and hazel, you could really feel the love through the sometimes hard exteriors. I'm glad this isn't the end, I wanna hear about the baby shifters when they get older.

I really expected alot more from this book which is saying alot because it's been 50/50 with this series since I started it. First for Amir to have waited for Anora for centuries he sure as fuck takes his time opening up to her and telling her a damn thing. Then the way he describes her is so freaking repetitive throughout the story its the same wording over and over and over again and with her as well. Also when Amir finds the 9 men who raped Hazel. He has them in the basement and then a few chapters later he's telling Andrew he still has to find them. Then when they get to slaughtering them it says Kade and Andrew are in the basement with blood all over their faces but Andrew is also in the kitchen at the same time making Anora something to eat. These mishaps could of been avoided with a proof reader. As well as Amir acted more like a little bitch than the supposed ancient being he's supposed to be. These stories get so tiring and boring and bogged down with useless fillers it makes me not want to finish this series which is saying alot because I've never not finished a series even when I disliked it. And the sexy scenes are damn near nonexistent which is weird considering the other books they were fucking like jack rabbits. Not that it made any difference. Reading them was like watching paint dry. This book didn't make me understand or care for Amir at all. And for someone who was tasked by Fate to save House of Zorah he sure betrayed them awful quick for his psychotic devil of a sister. His sister threw him out of the coven and yet he's still willing to go against those he created selfishly for his own wants and needs for his sister. Knowing he killed all those women and children makes me wish Id never read this story. I can't ever look at Amir the same way again. And Olivia chastising Kane when his mate almost died is bullshit. This series should stop with Jacob.

Good book, paced a little slower than I anticipated. Have more background and foretold a horrible future if things weren't handled correctly.
It would've been nice to see more of Anora's powers. They are unlocked during a fit of rage, then she teleports, but we don't see much else of powers.
Asma & Alina sacrificing themselves at the last minute worked.
Damon finds his mate, an assassin, but we don't even get her name. Be nice to get more info on her and why she was guarding one of the books.
Overall, nice story 4 out of 5 stars. (I received an ARC copy of the book. However, this is my honest opinion)

I almost DNF'd it

But I wanted to see how it ends. It hurts to give this book 2 stars, because the series started so good. Please stick to the formula, I think this was supposed to be a slow burn, Amir & Anora don't even talk to each other till after 20% of the book. I also didn't like the constant retelling of the same history, we know what happened during the first great war, no need to tell it all over again including twice in this book. But my biggest grip is how Hazel's trauma was handled, this big of an issue can't be handled with a dress and let me kill them. The last two books in the series weren't for me I recommend sticking with the first 2 books and the 2 novellas.

The King and Queen

Finally getting their story although we always knew who they were and now I understand why. I never realized Anora had been visiting Amir in the past, through time. This was intense and good. What happens now that Dark magic is gone now?

What the heck happened?

All the other books of this series had me wrapped up. This one had me skipping whole chunks.
I would have given up if I didn't want the conclusion.

Loving Amir is a very emotional book. I really wasn’t expecting to feel so drawn to Amir. He is this all powerful supernatural, but at the heart of him he just wants to be loved unconditionally. Wanting to be loved unconditionally, is an emotion that every reader can understand. His character journey was wonderfully displayed and understood throughout the book. I would definitely recommend this book and the book series. 10/10

For this to have been the fourth book of the series, and originally the last, it was extremely lackluster, bordering disappointing. So many things were stuffed into the story that the main formula that made readers love the stories in the first place, were skimmed over or completely missed.

This book had multiple errors, which again was very disappointing. The first two books and two novellas were so beautifully written you could tell real time and effort was put into it while this felt rushed and thrown together. I know the author has been in high demand as of late and unfortunately the work is starting to suffer.

Lastly, the story was very disjointed, some parts were frustratingly slow while other aspects were over too quick. Like the final showdown scene, in Saving Jacob it felt significant, here it felt like a copy and paste.

I had such high expectations, meeting Amir in other books I just knew he was gonna be hell in his book. Instead he was bashful, apprehensive, and unsure when it came to getting his mate and opening up and it was so not King like.

That being said I will continue the series, I’m too invested now, I just hope that the next book brings back what we love so much about this series the unrelenting love between a shifter and his fated mate.

Anticlimactic

As a devoted fan of this series, I was really anticipating “Loving Amir.” Unfortunately, this installment fell short of expectations, making it a challenging read that took me weeks to complete, quite unusual, as I typically finish books within days. The portrayal of Amir as fearful and isolated for centuries, hesitating to approach his destined partner, felt inconsistent and dragged on for the first 30% of the book. Aya, was not addressed until the very end, despite the apparent ease with which Amir could have resolved the issue earlier. And while I appreciate a good slow burn romance, this story lacked the burn part of it, resulting in a sluggish pace. Also, the book contained excessive repetition and over-explanation of details already established in previous books, making the reading experience difficult. Despite these disappointments, I remain a fan of Tessa Stone’s work and will continue to read her future projects. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism to enhance her storytelling in upcoming books.

3.5 ⭐⭐⭐

I've always said this about this series there are pieces missing and as the author builds up the series she leaves even more missing pieces in her wake. Its like she started telling a story in the middle and we are getting flashes of the past that build up to what we know. But overall seems disjointed and like we are getting pieces of the full picture. She started at the curse being broken, then later go on into the details of how it was broken, then later into more details of what lead to Aya cursing them to begin with. Such a disjointed way to tell a story.

We didn't get everyone's mating story Levi & Nia, Micah and Sara as examples. So many other examples we saw with the other groups, we got one bear shifter and two dragon story, but others in their group were mated. It feels like the original story of Amir and his sister's is missing. What lead Aya to be so horrible? What really happened with Hazel's dad? Why did the other two sister never stand up to Aya? What hold did she have on them? What issues does Nia have that made her so insufferable? How did Kade and Leah meet? Damon came back with a mate but we got no detail, and seems the upcoming stories wont be able him. Also we keep reading about unity of Wintermoon, but when will we actually see it still so much division.

All that being said, I did like that in this story we did get some closure the end of black magic. I wonder how this will affect the Witching Glen and the witches who moved to the away because they didnt use black magic. Will we get a book talking about how they are rebuilding and making amends, now that black magic is gone. We keep seeing witches mating with other species like Angie and Jacob they choose to stay with the pack. I think I would like to see more inter species mingling and some of them actually mixing with the other groups. Want to see the witches and wizards rebuild and integrate.

Amir
I hated that he was such a hypocrite with his sister, didnt want to kill but them took the black magic and let her be killed. Kind of makes you think why not just let Angie kill her. Anyone who hurt his mate he killed but didnt let Kane do the same. I'm glad he took over and is actually going to try to fix the mess he made. I was frustrating how he made the mess and then try to give Kade the responsibility of fixing it, by creating Wintermoon and unifying everyone. He said he took accountability for what he did but also wanted to disappear and not do anything to fix it. Kade has so much responsibility barely had time with Leah with everything they worked on.

Anora
I can't wait to see how she adjust to Wintermoon and being the queen. I want to see her work on learning to be a witch, maybe lessons with Angie and Leah and becoming more confident in being a Blackwood witch. She is Angie's cousin so that means they are her family, will she bond with them? She's suppose to be the rule Wintermoon and Amir executes, I want to see how this dynamic plays out in future books.

Hazel
I love how Hazel gives her mother to the dragon's so she could reply her debt. I love how in this book they set clear boundary Amir and Anora will take care of Wintermoon. While Hazel, the mayor, Ash Clan and Andrew will take care of things in Detroit with all the radicals.

I really hope at some point we see Andrew's story, would hate for it to go like Damon where in one book they just mention he found his mate and that's it.

Neutered King

I'm huge fan of the series. My only gripe was Jacob's book but I was pumped for Amir's story.

Trouble in Paradise

The pacing of the story was weird. As if one story was built up, but since more books are coming, there was a reversal to allow space for more storylines but it feels greatly disjointed. I felt like the time traveling scenes were a way to mend that but instead it just hampered the story. And Hazel actually is a great character but how Amir was handled was very infuriating and counterproductive.

No Action is Action

Amir and Anora nap a lot instead of having smex or sharing critical info or fighting the good fight. Eventually, they do lots of foreplay type stuff but get your britches together because this is a slow burn romance, slow burn smex, and slow burn action.

It's all in the length

I have a theory. This series works best in novella form. The longer books all suffer from too much filler. Some more than others. But this one, definitely. This book could have easily been 100-150 pages shorter. We have a lot that stretches out the plot. We have a lot of rehash from previous books. This one should be a pulsing, dominating beat with high heat and action, but there isn’t.

Gotta Let it 🔥

Instead, here we have Amir doing a lot of waiting. And it's a slow burn:
•He knew where his mate was, but nah, let's stay in the shadows for months.
•Then, he reveals himself, but nah, time for courtship.
•Then, he's courting her, and she's down for more, but nah, we can't have sex yet.

Everyone made a better choice than Amir. Unfortunately.

And the same rules that applied to the slow burn are applied to the storyline:
•Tracking down the magic book needed to defeat the baddie? Off page.
•Torture & murking of enemies? Kinda slow to get to & some off page (with the exception of one gnarly scene).
•Revealing the truth to Anora? Very slow, unnecessarily and painfully slow reveals.

Final Questions

Baffling:
🙃 why isn't Jacob with Hazel? They have better chemistry
🙃 some of these timelines
🙃 how can you go months not smexing and claiming his mate when others couldn't go days
🙃 irrational dislike towards Hazel
🙃 Kane's reactions these last 2 books
🙃 anticlimactic ending
🙃infertility in this context

I was really looking forward to this story. King Amir was a mystery, and I loved who Fate picked for him. This is a book of redemption. King Amir is being forced to face his wrongdoing and make it all right with his children and his siblings. However, to much and nothing was happening all at the same time. This take slow burn to another level feel this book was drawn out. Don’t get me wrong I loved how he was trying to think about all his actions and how he handled situations. But, come on you’re a Vampire, witch, lion and dragon along with a bunch of others. Why not get to the point and do what needs to be done and go to your shifters you have done wrong and get the updates needed in order to fix what’s broken how he is pushing everyone else to confront what they are not ready to confront. On top of that why are you stalking your Fated mate? Your wasting time sir shit is really happening around you and your playing games. Anora was the sweetest and I was so happy for them to come to terms with everything. That girl was dreaming of you and would have gone at the 1st sight of you. The two of them together complemented each other perfectly. Someone so badass and someone so caring help bring balance. King Amir just took way to long for my liking. Now the whole him and his niece and his sister. Amri was to passive and knew what needed to be done but my goodness. His niece was more of the badass through out the book know what all she was doing for their people even when everyone hated her. On top of Amir could have been paying attention and used his wisdom could have let everyone know ahead of time. This one was very emotional I wanted and need some more from Anthony as he just keeps being a safe space but playing a huge role in getting to see all the behind the scenes an helping do more in the human world than they give him credit. I’m ready for Hazel’s story and want to see and know Anora’s relationship with Angie and how all of it will tie together.

A.R.C. Review
After reading all of the other Wintermoon books and shorts, I have been eagerly waiting to read Amir’s story and it did not disappoint. Tessa Stone did some of her best work with Loving Amir, ensuring she answered the lingering questions from the previous books and didn’t leave any loose ends.

The themes of healing, redemption, unconditional love and justice brought so much depth to the story as well as Hazel, Amir, and Andrew’s characters. My favorite quote in the book, “Justice isn’t always swift or clean; sometimes it needs to be slow, methodical, and absolutely devastating.” Yes!!!!! I’m glad everyone got what was coming to them.

I had mixed feelings about Amir after reading Saving Jacob and throughout a few parts of this book. Amir’s desire and search for unconditional love is beautiful and heart wrenching all at the same time but it was also his strength and weakness. His refusal to kill Aya grated on my nerves and wanting to sacrifice himself for her, seriously?! After finding the love he had been waiting for over a thousand years, sacrificing himself for a sister that has done nothing but cause chaos seemed completely illogical. The build up to the final confrontation was written so well. It was the perfect ending to Aya’s tortuous reign.

Amir and Anora’s love story was definitely a slow burn but it was worth it in the end. Their love brought peace, forgiveness and protection to both of them but it also unlocked another level of madness that was ironic but so good.

I’ve been holding out on reading about Amir, in fear that it wouldn’t do him justice, I’m so glad I was wrong!! I loved how his story was structured, so happy to get all the history behind his being and journey.

My girl Anora, a time traveler and a Blackwood witch🤗 From the beginning Anora’s story and heart had me! Everyday she made sure her elderly neighbor was good everyday even if it was her last, even when she came up on money “randomly” she made sure to pay for hospital bills and get her groceries before tending to herself and her space. Anora and Amir were truly made for each other and I feel like if they would’ve met sooner than they did that sadly the effects from Aya and her turn to dark magic would have consumed her with the same anger, grief and guilt as Amir.

I can’t wait to see my babygirl Hazel reclaim her happiness now that her “mother” is finally gone. Her portion within the storyline broke my heart, the fact that her “mother” did nothing but the second Amir sensed it on her he jumped for the chance to handle them all for her is wild.

Asma and Alina came through for their brother in the end and I love that! I kind of wish I could get their point of view of the journey they went on with being along side Aya and their reasons for staying with her through all the corruption.

Oh, What A Feeling To Be Loved

“Someone to care, someone to share...lonely hours and moments of despair,” are Amir's sentiments. From the beginning of time, Amir desired love and connection. He is a complex supernatural—compassionate when his instincts should be savage, particularly when it comes to his sister Aya, and violent when restraint is needed.

Witnessing dark magic consume Aya, Alina and Asma’s seemingly complicit nature, and the House of Zorah finding mates leaves Amir riddled with longing and sorrow. His heart aches as he chases fleeting glimpses of Anora, knowing she belongs to another time, centuries away from the moment their true connection can take place.

Now, in a time where King Amir can finally find and be with his queen, Anora, nothing and no one will stop him. Flashbacks and time-traveling dreams shed light on events before and after the Great War. The shocking twist revealing that it was a future Anora who set in motion Amir’s 600-year slumber left me speechless.

Amir appears poised and regal. But don't come after Anora or his family. Pure savagery. Anora's love for Amir is unconditional; she adores him. She is everything he's needed and more. Amir worships Anora. We also witness the unwavering devotion of Kade, Hazel, and Andrew for Amir. He's finally experiencing the love that he longed for.

But trouble looms. Aya must be stopped. Amir knows what must be done. Anora protective of Amir unlocks new powers within herself. When things seem darkest, Alina and Asma make the ultimate sacrifice, proving that love can be the driving force behind the most incredible acts of courage.

Loving Amir blends revenge, redemption, and unconditional love, while also highlighting real-world issues of women’s rights and discrimination—issues that are just as pressing in fantasy as they are in our own lives.

Great way to almost end this series!

This series has been truly amazing. Yes, I love the love and the paranormal nature; however, the way Tessa mixes in biblical history with the experiences of the supernaturals who have been around since the beginning of time in these tales along with moern day political and social climates (racisms, sexism, LGBTQIA rights, etc) is brilliant and relevant! Now to the plot, I love how Amir's quest for love finally manifested. He spent so much time trying to create love and family for himself and seemed to be punished for it at every turn, but things clearly happen for a reason and in the end, he finally experienced the love he desired. I was able to guess Asma and Alina's fates so that twist was not surprising and I to say I'm happy to finally be rid of Aya's ass is an understatement. I'm excied to read more about Hazel's healing and love journey in the next book!

Honestly, I Didn’t See the Ending Coming

Book 4, and I still love the writing. There were a few issues here and there, but I really enjoyed this story. I was wondering why Anora was all in on Wintermoon when she never visited. Meanwhile, Amir-all-powerful was avoiding it at all costs. What a great story. Amir the ruthless killer was actually a gentle giant (but be ware, he bites… literally). This was another book about a Black woman being loved correctly. And OMG, the special love and attention and appreciation for Black hair!

I actually think I was more invested in the side characters than Anora. That was okay, but I really locked in on Anora when we got to bear country. Then I was like MORE! There’s one detail in the whole book that makes me sad for those two, but I don’t think it was that big of a deal.

I didn’t love this one as much as I loved book 1, but I need to know what happens next regardless.

Amir waited centuries to find his fated mate, and when he finally gets her within his reach he’s afraid that she won’t love him the way he loves her. Amir is patient with Anora, he pampers her, and provides her every need. Anora’s character embodies the real definition of someone loving you unconditionally. Despite all the bad things that Amir has done over his lifetime, it does not sway or alter the love that Anora possesses for him.

This book is written very well. The complexity behind creating a fantasy world was shown within the pages of this book. Tessa has a way with creating alternate realities without confusing the reader. The character development is good, and I loved the way the previous books are all tied together.

Loving Amir was so special and I love how Tessa intertwined real world issues like sexism, colorism, and political ideas throughout the text.

Loved Anora and Amir’s Story

I REALLY enjoyed this book, and I loved how everything was tied together. Amir and Anora’s stories were so well-done, and I honestly loved Hazel’s story, too. Between being rejected by her mother and what happened to her on campus, Hazel has been through a lot. I can’t wait until we get to see her happy ending. Hell, even Damon finally found his mate.

The three things that I want to see hopefully get addressed in the future is what happened to the Witching Glen — did all the dark magic witches die or did they just lose their powers? Do Kane and Amir make amends? Also, what is going to happen with Nia, because honestly, I feel bad for her.

Either way, this was a great story. Tessa has created such a unique multi-verse, full of interesting characrters and plots twists. A solid 4 1/2 stars!

This was a good read. I’ve been waiting on Amir to get his mate and I’m happy that both of us are waiting no longer. Amir has been alone for centuries not only without his mate, but also a family. He took actions into his own hands by making a family of his own. But the pressure of being king, while wanting to be loved and loving posed a great challenge for him. He’s been judge and jury as well as bound by duty in his decision making. He’s also made many mistakes by choosing the madness, choosing his love ones, and choosing what is right over fairness at times. Anora is his saving grace - literally. Her unconditional and unwavering love for him is a balm to his lonely heart and soul. They were meant to be and cannot be apart or catastrophic things happen. I was very happy with the way things turned out in the end.

Conflicted

I wrestled with myself about what I was going to rate this book and how I was going to review it for quite some time because although I've been highly anticipating this book, I didn't love it as much as I thought I would, and that saddens me. And while I did love Amir and Anora as a couple, and I love being back in Wintermoon, I thought the pacing of this book was off. It felt too long, and many of the scenes as far as the Great War repeated unnecessarily. I also didn't care for how Hazel's trauma was handled, but I will reserve judgment on that because I know she's getting her own novella, and I'm interested in reading more about her story when the focus is truly on her. Overall, I love this series and truly enjoy Tessa's writing; I just didn't enjoy this one as much, but I will definitely continue reading the shorts, which are truly my favorite.

The end?

I'm sure we'll see more from our fave characters cause I would definitely love to see a dew more people meet their fated mates.
I enjoyed Amir and Anora story, dark and sensual with more revelations as the series comes together in this book. It is sad that this is the only couple that will not produce children but he is part vampire so I understand.
I do wish we saw more of Anora learning her powers and her being a witch especially when her lineage is revealed, I would have liked that explained but it wasn't.
I will say this book had a lot of errors that should have been caught in editing. Like a scene where Kade and Andrew slaughters and then next moment Andrew is with Anora, or paragraphs repeating and mentioning the incorrect character during conversations. It would take me out of the book and started to frustrate me because it was one too many.

💙A.R.C💙 Review

I don’t know how Tessa does it? I give this book 5 stars because I absolutely love this series. Although to be fair I’m pretty sure to the average reader this is a 4 star read which is still good. I loved the complexity that was added to Amir within this story, also the side characters had more depth added to them as well. The loved story of Anora and Amir was actually really sweet and endearing and I loved it. Overall this series is probably the most cohesive series I’ve read ever and it all makes sense. (The wintermoon shorts fill in the blanks) This was suppose to be the last book of the series but I’m glad it isn’t ending just yet. I can’t wait to see where Tessa Stone takes us next in this amazing universe she has created.

I don’t know what to say about this book. It was highly anticipated for me because I’ve loved the series since day one and have been really enjoying all the other books and novellas that built up to this moment. But I feel like this one was lackluster compared to the rest of the books in the series. Don’t get me wrong the spicy scenes are still amazing and the overall plot is great but it’s all the in between parts that have me wanting more and not in a good way. It also took a while to get into the book and then felt like everything happened in the last 100 pages of the book (it’s 434 pages long). I will still recommend this book and be reading the rest of Tessa’s books as she still writes amazingly.

Bitter Sweet Ending

This is the final book of a series that I enjoyed with each couple bringing their own spunk to the series. I found the way they picked a Luna and Alpha interesting, it wasnt how we typically see the dynamic of Alpha and Luna in most shifter books. I will say my favorite couple still remains Tami and Kane.
While I enjoy seeing everything come to a close, the book still seems a little slow at the beginning and repetitive at parts, and some parts seem out of order.
Overall, I liked how the book ended and was glad to see Amir and Anora get their HEA. I was glad to see that Hazel will be getting a book, and I hope we get to see more of Andrew because he needs an HEA, too.

Amir….goodness gracious… AMIR?!?!?

This installment is BY FAR the best in the series and it’s all thanks to King GODAMN Amir. When i first read about him in Claiming Gabriel, I knew he was going to be big pressure. I even said aloud, “I fear my type has just entered the chat.”

You can tell Ms. Stone took her sweet time with him and it PAID OFF! Not that the other characters were bad, they just fit into the same formula shares across the series, but tha Amir…he is something special.

I was also impressed with the magic system and how it has transformed since the first book. This installment was well thought out and Ms. Stone came to write in this one! The prose was definitely prosing.

A good edit and this would have been PERFECT! However, I loved it down!
