As Dante and I investigate the demonic force that’s threatening Seattle, a new case lands in our lap when Tilly, one of Dante’s aunts starts talking about Jet, the young, honey-tongued coyote shifter who wants to marry her. Dante's aunt is vulnerable, elderly, and rich, and doesn’t want to believe Jet’s out to fleece her.
When Dante insists we investigate, we fall into the greedy world of grifters, and to a darker scheme far more dangerous than just stealing money. Can we prevent the scammer from not only stealing Tilly’s money, but Tilly’s very life force?

This book kinda felt like it was split into 2 parts, one being the whole crew, plus Penn working on the case of the awful house and then Kyann and Dante looking after Dante's aunt Tilly, who seems like she's in over her head.
The house case was interesting with what they found out about the history of the house. It's a wonder that anyone could have lived there at all. While they managed to clear the threat, it was a big fight for everyone and they had to work together in usual ways.
The thing with Tilly was a bit sad in a way. You know Tilly just wanted to find love and like many older women was scammed. I'm glad that Kyann and Dante could deal with the POS and now things will be better for Tilly.

Another great book by Yasmine! I have been a fan of hers for years and have read every book of hers. I preorder all her books and read it pretty much the day they come out. I love her writing and her stories. This one is no different. It is the second book in the series and follows Kyann and her friends as they work to solve some mysteries. This is set in the present world and has demons, ghosts, vampires, shifters, witches, etc…I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.
Yet another exciting excursion into a world I'm in love with. Everyone is so amazing and unique in their own way. I can't wait for both of Kyann's "sides" to integrate. Action packed with such endearing friendships, I miss them already! Can't wait for the next one.
Loved this book by Yasmine Galenorn ! It's book 2 in the Shadow Blade series. If you like supernatural urban fantasy, you'll love this series ! What happens when a half demon and a wolf shifter co-own a private investigation office ? Read it and see... There's no end to the adventure !
What a ride we get into when there is not one, but two new investigations going on at once, and a maybe closed one resurfacing!
All of this, along with Kyann’s emerging powers, make it another difficult to put down book, especially when we add the friends, the crew, and the cats to it!
I just finished Shadow Scorching. I really liked it. It kept my attention from start to finish. I have been a fan of your books for years now. I like that your storylines are easy to read and engaging.
Yasmine has been my favorite author for many years and th his book is ano th her example of why. I just hope she keeps his services going as I need much, much more Kryann, Dante and Penn in n my life. And don't forget Murdoch!

First off, I give this book a 10. We’re all born into family, But some know a family that we were raised in. I thank both families for their love. This book showed me both. Thank you for reminding me of lifelong friendships of both. G.
