This was a very short book and pretty ridiculous as well. "Daisy" is completely naive in her relationships. She seems kind of lifeless and unnecessarily non-decisive. She cannot see what is happening to her and directly in front of her. She has a creepy, controlling boyfriend and an absolutely blind best friend. How can "Donna" not see that her bffs beau is possessive and controlling? She just tells her that she is lucky to have him, unlike any normal bestie that would tell her that HE is lucky to have HER. I guess I just wasn't impressed but I hate to leave even a bad book unfinished. And with the silly cliffhanger ending I know I will end up at least getting the second book just to see how it turns out.
I found this free e-book advertised on Facebook and it looked interesting so i thought i would give it a go.
I hate to give negative reviews but i really didn't enjoy this one it wasn't believable and felt like it was just too rushed and couldn't connect with the characters. It's sad because the story sounded really promising. I've recently gotten into reading New Adult romance and was really disappointed with this one i was hoping i was wrong and would have loved this book but had my doubts when i noticed it didn't have any reviews..
For what was a poorly executed start to a series. The plot had potential that just wasn't fulfilled, the main characters were dumber than a box of rocks and...just No all around, sorry
This book is lacking in many ways. It's very short, it lacks detail, and doesn't have a good story line. It never really captures the reader. I won't be purchasing the next book.
It was a decent read, but I didn't feel as connected to the characters. I felt like maybe it was too rushed. I get that it was a shorter book so she had to fit a lot in to only a few pages, but still it could use some more depth. Daisy got over the kidnapping thing way too quickly. I get that they had a connection but wouldn't she hold back for a while longer? Also she's almost engaged. There's clearly something up with Brain, but she loved him enough to think about marrying him, shouldn't she be torn or even feel a little guilty. I also would have liked more about descriptions on their feelings. They are supposed to be so connected that she feels fine accepting him after he kidnapped her, and she's ok cheating on her maybe fiancé. For that to work on any level, and for us to believe it, we need to see the deep level of love.
Also, wft Daisy? She wasn't even the least bit suspicious about Brain. How is that even possible he is totally up to stuff and yet nodda. She should at least think some suspicious thoughts, even if she talks herself out of them. That really annoyed me. All that time she spent with him and he was acting all jerky like and she didn't once ask herself why he was acting so weird?
I only read 4 chapters of this book. It is the cheesiest, most absurd book I've ever read, I couldn't read anymore.
While I understand books aren't supposed to mirror reality too much, this book was so far from anything closely resembling how people act, its ridiculous.
