I begynnelsen var tegnet

Rate this book
Idyllen i Alfabeta-Nia slår sprekker.

I picked this up cause I read the second one at some point in my backstory, and I remember it being cool, and now I found the first one. And it is cool. I feel like the concept is cool enough to be four stars, but the writing was two stars (for me, this is a middle grade-ish (?) book so I won't say it was bad. Just a bit too simple and monologue-y for my tastes)

So what is this cool concept that would be four stars? The story is about a fantasy world, and it is about the author of that fantasy world (not Kapelrud, a fictional author of the fictional world), and the fictional author is a self-insert in the fictional fantasy world. I liked how the story of Alfabeta-Nia and the real fictional life of the author shape each other. The way he brought himself into the story as an almightyish? author/god? is headache-worthy. In a cool way. I think Shit Gets More Real in the second one though, so I'm looking forward to that.
