Rate this book
New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Cynthia Eden continues her sexy “Mine” romantic suspense series with…MINE TO HAVE.

Is he a hero…or the villain?

When Elizabeth Ward sees Saxon Black rushing into the backroom of The Blade—a low end bar in Miami—she isn’t sure if he’s there to save the day…or just to raise some hell. But she’s being held hostage, and he’s her best hope of survival. Within minutes, she’s away from the jerks with the guns and riding fast and hard on the back of Saxon’s motorcycle.

Death stalks them.

Saxon has been working undercover for far too long. When he finds sexy Elizabeth—with a gun to her head—he knows he will do anything to keep her safe. But once he gets her away from her abductors, the threat to her isn’t over. Someone has put a price on Elizabeth’s head, and if Saxon can’t keep her safe from the danger stalking her, then she’ll be dead.

Their lives are both on the line.

As their enemies close in, Elizabeth and Saxon must go on the run. And the longer they are together, the hotter their attraction for one another seems to burn. Saxon vows not to let anyone hurt her, no matter what he has to do, because he’s falling fast for Elizabeth. He’ll stop the killers on her trail, and then he’ll have her. Forever.

MINE TO HAVE.

You're in my blood, sweetheart, and I can't get out out. I want you, more that I've ever wanted anything."

No one writes a sexy, keep you on the edge of your seat and action filled romantic suspense quite like Cynthia Eden. She's become my go-to author when I want a sensual story with a possessive hero, a likeable heroine, and a plot that is guaranteed to suck me in from the very first page. I haven't read a book by hers I haven't loved yet, and this was no exception.

If you remember Jasmine Bennett's 2 highly over protective brothers that were first introduced in Mine to Crave, you get to know them both much better here...starting with the dark and mysterious Saxon Black.

Saxon has been deep undercover for so long, he almost struggles to remember himself who he is. Forced to work too long with the criminal dregs of society, all he wants is to be done with it and finally live the life that he's been dreaming about. But before he can do that, he accepts one small job as a favor to his brother, Victor. Little does he know that that job will change everything for him when he comes face to face with a green eyed beauty that's in a world of trouble.
She was the one thing he'd found that he would fight for. No matter what.

Elizabeth Ward has no idea why she was grabbed off the streets and is now facing the barrel of a gun, tied to a chair in a seedy Miami bar. So when a dangerous looking stranger suddenly kicks down the door and rescues her from her captors, she's not sure if he may be even more dangerous himself. One thing she does know is that his raw magnetism draws to her for a reason that she can't begin to understand. When she finds out that he's one of the good guys and her life is in even more danger than she originally thought, she has no other choice but to trust him with her life.

Saxon wants a lot more than her trust though...
You need to remember," he told her, staring straight into her eyes, "I'm not some safe guy you can play around with while you're biding your time until you get to return to your real life. When I said I wanted you more than breath, I meant it." His gaze glittered.
"Next time, I'll take you instead of that breath."

Know what I love the most about Cynthia Eden's writing? The unpredictability of it. Even when you know who the bad guy is somewhat early, she'll still manage to throw in a twist that you will never see coming...and keep them coming until the very end. Mine to Have will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing yet never knowing what's to come until the last page.

While the connection between Saxon and Elizabeth is fairly quick, there's no insta-anything here...not really. The sexual chemistry between them, like any other couple from Eden's writing, is palpable and explosive. Saxon is possessive and protective. Elizabeth is smart and caring with an understated core of strength that I really enjoyed. Saxon and Elizabeth together is just all sorts of hot.

The suspense and action is non-stop and made for one unputdownable read. If you're a fan of Eden's writing, you really don't want to miss this book. And if you've never read her before, I highly suggest you get acquainted. While this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone, but I'd strongly recommend reading all the books in the series simply because they're fantastic.

I'm really hoping we will get Victor's book next because the set up for that here has me itching to get my hands on his story. It's bound to be a verra interesting one.

If you loved the other books in the Mine series than I am 100% sure you will love this one. This is another series where I jumped in at the middle and started with book #3. I have to say it really doesn’t matter where you start this series because with each book Cynthia Eden does an amazing job with bringing you through the stories, giving you enough back history on the characters that you don’t feel lost at all. Now I just have to go back and read book #1 and #2. :)

In Mine to have we get Saxon and Elizabeth’s story. Ladies, Saxon fits the bill for your typical alpha, possessive HOT male. He had the growling going on too so you will LOVE him. But Elizabeth is no shrinking violet. She was sexy and sassy and when that light-bulb went off in her head that she WANTED Saxon, she was not afraid to go after him.

 photo MinetoHaveCollage_zps3b4a6b84.jpg

What I love about Cynthia Eden’s writing is she is able to give the reader so much in her stories without it being too much. Do you know what I mean? There was intrigue, twists & turns, hot sex, crazy characters, and a bit of angst too. Her stories always suck me in, gives me a bit of anxiety and has me turning the pages like crazy. Silly me I had thought I had parts of it figured out and then I’d find myself saying...…what the hell! I was definitely kept on my toes with this one.

There is something a bit mysterious about Saxon Black. His past has made him that way. He has been working undercover for the FBI for so long that even to himself he really isn’t sure he knows who the real Saxon is. He is done. He is ready to live the life he is dreaming about and all he has to do is finish this final job he is doing for his brother Victor. His plan would have worked but he wasn’t anticipating meeting the one person he would fight for. A green eye beauty Elizabeth. ❤

Elizabeth Ward is in the middle of a mess and has no idea why someone wants her dead. She has been taken and tied to a chair with a gun to her head at the hands of some crazy guy. One minute she is thinking this is the end and the next she connects with the eyes of a stranger that looks just as dangerous as the other guys. But when she realizes he is a good guy things get a little crazy. It becomes apparent that she is in more trouble than she can imagine and in more ways than one!!

I have to say that there was instant chemistry between Saxon and Elizabeth. Their relationship is anything but simple and they both go through a lot of crazy stuff. But I really enjoyed them as a couple because you get that craziness that is Saxon and the tenderness that is Elizabeth and when they collide you get a lot of HOT and FRENZIED sex! Cynthia Eden did not disappoint in that category.

I definitely recommend this to all Cynthia Eden fans and if you’re not then grab this one or any of the other books in the Mine series. She will give you that suspense, sexiness and lots of action you love in a romantic suspense book.

3.5 - "My balls are blue, so I'm not in the mood for your shit right now." Stars!

Another stellar installment in the Mine series, I have to admit that I was a little nervous about Cynthia’s continuation of this series, after the original boys had all gotten their books (and their women!).

”I’ve been undercover for so long, I’m not even sure I can remember who the hell I really am.”

Saxon Black has been working undercover for the FBI (as well as independently) for longer than he cares to remember. He has seen, carried out and watched numerous acts of violence as well as murder, and been involved with the lowest of the low for so long that he isn’t 100% sure that he isn’t just as bad as the people he hunts.

Elizabeth Ward is supposed to be his last job; a favour for his brother Victor and the FBI. He is getting out, getting away from the death and violence, and starting afresh.

New man. New name. New career. New life.

”Fucking missed you…” … “Missed… fucking… you…”

Elizabeth and Saxon together are hot, the adventure and suspense as you would expect with a Cynthia Eden book is fast paced, and well thought out. And although this is the first book in the series where I actually worked out what was going on and who was the Villain(s) prior to it actually being revealed, I still really enjoyed it.

”With me, I promise you’ll always be safe.”

The last 30% of the book gives the indication that Victor is likely to get a book of his own, and I am glad, I hope he gets his HEA as has his brother and sister before him. But if I am being honest, I think that is probably where I would like to see the Mine series come to a close.

”I’m a bleeder.”

I love Cynthia’s writing (if you don’t believe me feel free to check out all of my other reviews of her books), but sometimes you just know when something is dangerously close to moving from enjoyable and into the average.

4.5 Saxon Black Stars!

*arc provided per netgally in exchange for honest review*

I have to say that I am so happy that Saxon got a story...this completely made up for my disappointment in Drake Archer's tale! I wanted so much more from book 4 and I got everything I needed and then some in Mine to Have.

This book is fast, it is a bit furious, and it is chalk full of fun energy. Whether surviving hostage situations or running from a hail-storm of bullets...there is no better to have as your protector than Saxon Black!

This man is just about anything you need him to be...but perhaps his true self.

”I’ve been undercover for so long, I’m not even sure I can remember who the hell I really am.”

Saxon is one of the FBI's best. He has spent his life undercover...participating in the illegal, the dark, and the desperate. This last job is just one simple task until a new life. Elizabeth Ward. Save her, deliver her, and walk away. YEP...that isn't gonna happen, especially when your intended target turns out to be so much more than what was bargained for!

I love Cynthia Eden's ability to make instant attraction seem so "desperate" so intense. In the midst of survival, well there is no better time to find a place or time for a good hot romp!

Saxon and Elizabeth...whew...they are pretty scorching! If you are a fan of alpha man talk and action then you will fall hard for Saxon! He takes what he wants, and he claims what is his! As for Elizabeth, she is pretty tough herself! She stays strong in the face of danger and she makes no qualms about wanting every inch of Saxon Black!

Typically I do not like insta-love, so thankfully Eden did not give me that. She did however give a palpable attraction that rocked both characters that made the read a bit angsty! Not only did she keep it suspenseful, but she also kept the action up until the very end.

This read was totally enjoyable! If I had one complaint it would be that I could have read 100 more pages! I am really looking forward to Victor's tale.

I loved this from the first to last page it is a thrilling, fast-paced, suspense-filled ride with bodies dropping like flies, it is panty melting HOT in which Saxon and Elizabeth try to survive hit after hit.

The guys in this series get HOTTER with each book. Who should Saxon trust? Who wants Elizabeth dead and why? Who should Victor trust? I love the relationship between Saxon and Victor they would die for each other their bond is that strong. I really hope that Victor gets his own book PLEASE CYNTHIA.

Cynthia Eden has become my favourite suspense writer I have read all the Mine series and I can't wait to read her other suspense series, she never disappoints.

No, I haven't read the first four books, but this is a stand alone. There's enough back story given that I don't need to read the other books. But I want to.

Saxon walks in a saves Elizabeth from being killed from one bad guy. Then they escape another one, and another one. They fall into bed along the way and in love with each other. When they think they're safe and start moving on, in comes another bad guy or two.

“Couldn’t…let you go…” Another hard thrust. “Fucking…couldn’t…” And, if possible, he got even bigger inside of her. He’d stretched her so much that there should have been pain, but there was only pleasure.

Only Saxon.

He withdrew, plunged deep, and she opened her mouth to scream because the release was that violent.

“Bite me,” he ordered her. "Now.”

And instead of screaming, she found her cry muffled against his shoulder.

Then she felt him coming insider her. Hot jets that told her-

“Saxon?” Her head lifted.

His eyes were a burning darkness. So complete and total. “Mine,” he whispered…

Mine to Have is the 5th book in author Cynthia Eden’s Mine series. Although the book could probably be read as a stand-alone, the hero in the story, Saxon Black, was introduced in Mine to Crave, the fourth book in the Mine series. Also, the series is sequential, so readers that like to read books in order should start with book one, Mine to Take. My advice? Start with book one and enjoy them all!

At the end of Mine to Crave, readers were left with several questions surrounding Saxon, with the major question surrounding whether Saxon was one of the good guys or one of the bad guys. Mine to Have starts off in a similar way. While Saxon seems to save the damsel in distress, Elizabeth Ward, from certain demise… is he really saving her life or just saving her for himself? Elizabeth struggles with the same question as she tries to figure out who she can trust…

“We’re going out the back. You’re not going to scream. You’re not going to fight me. Because if you do either of those things, you’ll be dead.”

Her lips were full, plump, and currently trembling. “Y-you’ll kill me?”

He grabbed her arm and ran for the back door. “Have you realized it yet? I’m your hero...."

I have to confess, I’m a huge Cynthia Eden fan. I love her entire collection of contemporary romances and have especially enjoyed the Mine series. While Saxon wasn’t my favorite hero from this series (that award goes to Noah York, Mine to Hold book 3), he was definitely alphalicious and worthy of being included in this series that stars uber possessive and capable heros. My favorite! Mine to Crave had solid writing, a nice steam level, and a story I was excited to read. There’s not a lot of development in these books, nothing complex, but each book has rated high on the readability scale and I’ve looked forward to each and every one and Mine to Have was no exception. A solid 4.25+ STAR RATING!

I recommend this book/series to readers that enjoy romantic suspense-lite stories and alpha heros.

Mine to Have
3 Stars

A good mix of suspense and romance although the plot twists are predictable and the insta-lust trope is exceedingly far-fetched.

While Elizabeth and Saxon have intense chemistry and Eden certainly knows how to write a HOT sex scene, it is difficult to believe that a woman on the run from hitmen would agree to be intimate with a complete stranger who is more than a little bit dangerous.

On the plus side, the character development is pretty good, especially for Saxon although it would have been even better with less telling and more showing.

The witness on the run storyline has excellent potential with some well-written actions scenes and, thankfully, no TSTL moments. Nevertheless, the identities of the villains are so obvious as to border on the ridiculous, and this is a pity as Eden is usually so adept at writing gripping suspense.

In sum, while this is definitely not one of Eden's better romantic suspense series, it does have all of the elements for an entertaining read and her talent does shine through at times. The next and final book focuses on FBI Agent Victor Monroe and I'm looking forward to it as I adore a stoic, tortured hero.

*5 Saxon Stars*
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

This book was certainly not my first read by Cynthia Eden and it definitely isn’t gonna be last. I just love her books, be it her writing or the way she portrays each character.

I love how I get to read the story from each involved person’s point of view, it makes reading a thriller even more interesting for me.

We all got to know Saxon and Victor in Mine to Crave Mine 4. And I loved Saxon even then.

This book starts with Saxon doing Victor a last favor by rescuing Elizabeth, who was being held hostage by some goons. A hit has been placed on Elizabeth for reasons unknown to her or anyone. Though Saxon succeeded in helping her escape, the trouble was nowhere seems to be over.

Saxon wanted to leave undercover work far behind to start a new life without any more repercussions from his past life but this last favor brought him to Elizabeth and Yep,you guessed it right *Sparks Fly*. He just couldn’t leave her behind, so despite all his wishes and plans he was brought back into the criminal world to save her.

Amidst all lies, they couldn’t trust anyone except Victor. But as it was said you can never be too careful, Trouble always comes knocking on their door that too with a freaking gun.

What good a thriller is if there’s no fighting or shooting, right?
The best part I love about her books or specifically this series is I could feel the anticipation for the ending(yeah I know it’s always gonna be a HEA but still a minor part of mine always fears for what if?)

I like Elizabeth, her fiery and sarcastic comments and the way she stands up for herself or others she care about. And as I said above I just love Saxon.

This all makes this series so amazing for me, I always finish it in one sitting only and keep hoping for the next book to appear magically *sigh*

4 Cynthia Eden is amazing at suspense and sexy mixed into one big ball of awesome Stars!!

First things first- Mine to Have is book 5 in the series. While it is a stand alone per se, having read book four really makes you understand were the characters came from and some back story on them. The Mine Series is one of my favorites series of all time and probably my first real taste of Cynthia Eden's books. I have gone on to read a large number of her books now and have read the entire Mine series to date and trust me, she does not disappoint.

Mine to Have has Jazz's "brothers' from Mine to Crave back for their story, primarily Saxon's. Saxon is deep undercover we find out but Elizabeth Ward is never truly sure if he is friend or foe. Sax is doing his best to get this last mission complete so he can have his life back, whichever life that may be. You see, Sax has been undercover for so long he is not really sure who he is and he will do anything to find his true self- enter Elizabeth. Elizabeth locks eyes on Sax and knows something big is going to happen. A gun is trained to her head and is at the last possible minute of her life looking at this man who proceeds to take down her kidnappers.

Elizabeth and Sax's journey takes them through multiple locations while they are on the run and their chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS.

A little sad I got the bad guy so early in this one as other books by Eden have had me seriously guessing until the end, but never fear we have enough twists and turns in the story that you will not feel cheated or jaded at all. This book is smoking hot!

I don't know what all the praise for this book is about, as the proof is definitely NOT in the pudding (believe me I looked for it). This is an utterly boring book that just goes through the motions of the genre and is so overformulaic that you would be nostalgic for the days of formulaic. Neither hero nor heroine held my interest (they were flat, cut out figurines with words stuck on them) and there are moments where you'll roll your eyes at the stupidity of a scene. I simply hate it when writers don't know how to bring the villain and the hero/heroine together in a scene and resort to all sorts of nonsense. The first villain, the hero (FBI undercover for years), the hero's best friend and brother (FBI super trained agent), the heroine (your usual stupid RS heroine)come together in a scene of unbelievable incompetence. I'm a civilian without any law enforcement training, yet I would not have done what the hero and his friend did in that cabin. I would have been far more cautious. I was so taken out of the plot by the idiocy of it all that I had to force myself to read on for about 70% of the book, at which point I gave up to do something better like watch grass grow. It was more exciting.

So I gave this four stars almost 3 years ago. I don't remember a damn thing, so clearly it was time for a reread. But I lost interest at about 60%. Oddly enough, it's an appropriate place to end things. The Big Bad Threat isn't really resolved, but the immediate threat is - so I'm DNFing it the 2nd time around at a pretty satisfactory place. Not gonna change the rating or anything, but there you have it. I'm so good at this reviewing thing.

The fifth book in Cynthia Eden's Mine series. Elizabeth Ward is kidnapped and death is imminent when Saxon Black bursts in and saves the day. But Elizabeth isn't sure if her situation is any better at first. But soon it is revealed that he is undercover for the FBI or he was but now he is retiring. Saxon was worked for the FBI for years and ready for a change of pace. Now he's thinking that maybe he doesn't have to be alone.

Another spicy and exciting romantic suspense. Non-stop action! This series has been a joy to read. I am hoping she has at least one more in the works for this series...

In the fifth installment of the romantic suspense Series, Mine by Cynthia Eden we are given the story of Saxon & Elizabeth. For those that might not remember Saxon, we met him in Mine to Crave, he and Victor are Jasmine’s adopted brothers.

Saxon is ready to give up the life he’s been living. Being undercover, being someone else for so long has left him unsure of just who he really is. One last job and he can ride off into the sunset and put the darkness of his past behind him.

Elizabeth didn’t understand why she was taken, why there was a man holding a gun to her heard. And when the door to the room was kicked in she wasn’t certain if the man that was standing before her was there to save her or kill her. Getting out alive is all she can think about, so grabbing the mysterious stranger’s hand looks like the easiest escape, but once he gets her alone – she is bound and determined to escape from her new capture. Only Saxon isn’t there to harm her and explaining that to her and gaining her trust is the first thing he has to do. The second, well if his body has any say about it – it will be to take her.

Screenshot_7

As Saxon vows to keep her safe, the mystery of just who is after Elizabeth and why continues to grow and become more complex. What she originally thinks was a simple mistaken identity turns into a far bigger threat. But as he continues to protect her, the desire they feel continues to grow until it becomes too much to deny. But just as they think they are getting closer to being able to escape the threat, a new player is introduced and the body count grows.

Screenshot_6

Cynthia Eden’s Mine series is one of the best romantic suspense series I’ve read. Not only do you get edge of your seat action and swoon worthy heroes, but you get one amazing love story thrown into the mix. One of the most enjoyable things about this series is the revolving POV shifts. You get to see each piece unfold from every angle not just from the main characters.

Heroines that are strong willed, heroes that are all kinds of growly and hot and supporting characters that intrigue you to the point that you are salivating for their story to be told. Book six is not yet announced, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that Victor and Zoe will be up next for this series, the build up to this book is clearly evident and I am more than a little excited to know just what these two will have to face.

If you love action and suspense infused into your romances, this is a must read series. Cynthia Eden weaves a web that has you intrigued and guessing up until the very last second!

I love Cynthia Eden!
The woman has never once let me down with a book and somehow she just keeps coming up with outrageously hot alpha males who really know how to work it.
I don't know what's in the water where she is but I'd like to guzzle about a gallon!
Saxon Black, is he a good guy, bad guy? A bad guy who wants to go good? Or maybe he's a good guy who's really good at being bad?
By the third page I wasn't sure I even cared any longer... I just wanted to hop on his bike and go wherever he wanted to take me.
Elizabeth Ward, on the other hand, isn't so sure. When Saxon kicks his way into the room where she is being held at gunpoint and announces that she can't be killed because he wants 'an hour with her first' she's pretty sure she is going from the frying pan straight into the fire.
And is she ever right! Saxon is a man who is packing enough heat to make anyone go up in flames!
After taking on everyone Saxon drags a protesting Elizabeth out of there and off into the dark and dangerous unknown.
I'm not saying anything else except you should read this book.
The relationship that Saxon and Elizabeth build is great if a tiny bit unbelievable.
There may be a smattering of a kind of instalove on his part... or at least some intense instalust anyway... but it all works out well.
Saxon and Elizabeth are forced into difficult situations where they can trust no one.
Danger follows close behind as they try to figure out who wants Elizabeth dead and why and she soon realizes that Saxon is the only thing keeping her alive.
Frankly, I'm amazed that Elizabeth didn't fry to death in the supernova of Saxon's hotness and badass alpha ways.
But she doesn't and lucky us, that gives us a deliciously long book to tag along with the two of them in a cross country, double crossing, intense thrill ride with enough action and steam to keep you reading until the very last word.
Readers who enjoy Lisa Marie Rice's Dangerous series will probably dig this set of books as well.
Strong men, smart women, off the charts passion and enough danger to spice things up even more.

I have loved this series and this edition was no different.

Saxon is working undercover. This is his last mission and once it's finished he's free. No more undercover work and just living his own life. Of course when he busted through that door he didn't expect to find Elizabeth. Instantly he wants her. But nothing not even a woman like her will get in between him and his freedom. Until, she becomes his freedom....

Elizabeth does not understand why she has been kidnapped or the guy who just busted down the door is, but if it comes between staying here with a gun up to her head or going with the scary guy who claims he wants an hour with her, she knows what she's choosing. At least he just wants the hour and not to kill her, or at least she hopes.

As Saxon and Elizabeth are on the run, they both know they aren't completely sure if they trust the other, but they want each other no matter. Of course, at every turn someone else is out to get them.

This book was everything I love in a book. Suspense, danger, a hot alpha protector, and of course some steamy times. Saxon was one hot protector. I loved how once he knew how much he cared for her he put her before everything else even when in his POV he thought she deserved better. And Elizabeth was a great character too. Even though all of this running from bad guys was completely new to her, she didn't get all girlish and freak out much. Sure at first, but then she toughened up and was brave and would do anything to keep others safe, especially since she was the reason everyone was in danger in way.

I admit I was obsessed with the first part of the book, but there were a few parts that weren't as up to par. I don't know, I guess when they "went to California" I wasn't as into that. I get why they did, but I guess I'm used to these books being fast paced the entire way through, and that part just didn't compare. No points against the book for this, just was glad when the action started back up.

Great Series! With Great Character and, lol Great Storylines!! Can't wait for more!!!

Elizabeth Ward watches as a complete strangers saves her life but is he a hero or just another thug. Saxon has been working undercover for FBI far so long that he takes one more case so he can walk away a free man. That is until he met the beautiful Elizabeth Ward and his life changed forever.
With all Cynthia Eden books not everything is as it seems but this one had a lot less nail biting twist and turns that I have found in her other novels but still has it moments. My finger Nails are grateful. Mine to Have follows in the Mine Series where the men become in some way obsessed with keeping the women in their lives safe even risking their lives many times over. Saxon is no different and I am not sure how may time he was shot in this book but it added up quick. Vic and Saxon are family who will do anything to protect one another even if it means keeping a secret that could change Elizabeth life forever.
Mine to Have has sex and boy does it have sex which seem to follow with the rest of the Mine series. You will fine yourself rooting for Saxon to have a normal life with the women he loves. He might be all bad with a dark side but inside he is a marshmallow and readers will fall in love. This book has more romance than mystery but it still has its moments of whats going to happen next causing the reader to finish the book in a day and night. The book add more humor than I remember in the other Mines series giving it a light feel and I can't wait to read the next in the series.

If you like the Mine Series by Cynthia Eden you will love this book as well.

Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone story.

This book focuses on Saxon and offers lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing what is going to happen next and who are the baddies. It is also actioned packed from the first to the last page.

Elizabeth Ward is our love interest and she is a strong character that copes with all that is thrown at her, even if it leaves her a little wobbly.

We see a lot more of Victor in this book too, and it looks like he is being built up for the next book with another character that is introduced to us.

A great series that just keeps getting better.

This story is perfect for the series. I loved Saxon his the story before this one and I'm so glad he got his own book. He is so sexy and tough that you just want to sigh thinking of him. Now all we need is Vic's story!

4 Strong Stars:) Saxon and Elizabeth learn to trust each other while dodging potential killers from all sides. Eden twists a great plot and writes some of the best love scenes out there. It's romantic suspense with a nice balance of both elements. Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've read a Cynthia Eden book. Her," Mine" series just keeps getting better with each installment. Saxon and Elizabeth are really a good couple. The two meet when Saxon busts into a scene no one is meant to see. It's classic Eden with all the action that comes out throughout the story. The loyalty of family and past friends are there. You really feel the bond and respect they each share for the other.

It's more than a romance, more than just sex, more than just action. The twists keep coming over and over again and loved each one and in the end only one is still alone. Victor is the last I've yet to see find his other half. He is the secret keeper. In the end of this little gem he holds a secret of Elizabeth's and it makes me wonder if he will be forced to reveal that secret in the next book. It'll be okay because now she has Saxon to help her deal.

The only thing I will say is the love attachment came quick and it may bother some. For me I think it worked because it needed to happen fast as there is so much crammed in this story. So hold onto your seat and buckle up. If this is your first Eden book or not this book works as a standalone. Enjoy!

Another exciting romantic suspense from Cynthia Eden! Though loosely tied together with book four, Mine To Have can be read as a standalone very easily. Since I love them so much I highly recommend reading them all. Eden’s crisp writing style makes her alpha males jump right off the page and into your life. No one does alphas with quite so much demand than Cynthia.

In Mine To Have Saxon Black is trying everything he can to get out of the FBI undercover life. One last job and then he’s free to move on to the life he’s been secretly building in the wings. Save one girl then he’s done. Except from the moment he storms into the back room of a shady operation and locks sights with Elizabeth, he knows something is different. She’s different.

Elizabeth has no idea why she’s suddenly the target of bloodthirsty killers, but having Saxon near by makes her feel protected. The attraction she feels toward him confuses her and yet she can’t get enough of him. She may be safe from those hot on her trail but who is going to protect her from Saxon?

Typical of an Eden romance, the suspense continues to ratchet tighter as the book progresses both physically and emotionally. Elizabeth and Saxon work well together for two people who are seemingly in different worlds on paper. They shouldn’t work. Yet the attraction is palpable to the point of explosion. Elizabeth adapts well to the changing roles in her life with believable ease. I think having Saxon by her side constantly helped lessen her anxiety giving her a vocal point instead. With no family ties it made it easier for her to leave while also giving Eden the opportunity to further her back story on the car wreck that killed her parents.

I loved how Eden changes the game about half way through the book by killing off one character but in the process allowing another to gain momentum. It was definitely a clever twist on a story line that many romantic suspense books follow. This allowed the reader to see Saxon in two very different roles, though he never loses his protector status. The ruthless FBI agent and the elusive high end business owner. The worlds completely different with the central commonality being Elizabeth. Her ability to see him for who he truly is behind the many masks he’s had to wear makes her someone he’s unwilling to let disappear from any of his undercover lives.

The brotherly aspect between Saxon and Victor was well done and gave Eden a great opportunity to set the scene for the next book. Working together since they were street rats (along with our heroine from the last book, Jasmine) they have each others backs no matter what. Victor often plays the role of bad guy for the common good which makes him a character I’ve come to both enjoy and loathe. He shows moments of genuine gentleness which he quickly replaces with cold impassiveness. Everything he does has an endgame but he’s the only one privy to that information. He’s a maneuver-er working behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to the woman who is bound to shatter his world. Because I’m sadistic like that. :)

Mine To Have is a romantic suspense not to be missed! Eden delivers lightning fast action scenes and heart stopping eroticism that had me on edge the entire book! Full of twists and surprises from every angle, I whole-heartedly recommend this one!

I give Mine To Have by Cynthia Eden 4.75 stars!

Review

Ok I will be honest and say I have not read any other books in this series although I have read some of this authors paranormal stories which I recommend . I do not read a lot of romantic suspense but mixing things up gives me a fresh eye and certainly helps prevent this reader from falling into a slump so it was with great expectation that I sat down to read this book.
From the very first scene there is no doubt that Saxon is going to be a very strong alpha male who will stop at nothing to get what he wants . He is an undercover FBI agent doing what he hopes will be his last assignment. Saxon is beyond tired of all the subterfuge and downright filth that he deals with everyday but he has a plan. Just do this one more job and then that's it , he's out of there and off to start a new life. The only problem? Getting in and out with the hostage puts him not just in the firing line but in front of the most beautiful pair of green eyes that he has ever seen!
Elizabeth has absolutely no idea why she has been kidnapped and even less idea why there's a gun to her head! When the door is broken down by a behemoth of a man demanding to spend an hour with her should she be grateful or even more afraid? Elizabeth doesn't want to die but she's somehow caught between a rock and a hard place. This stranger seems as if he might just be able to save her but who will save her from him?
Saxon is such a dichotomy! Yes he is officially FBI and that should make him the hero but he has spent so long working in the seedy underbelly that he is no longer sure that he isn't one of the bad guys. He has seen and done things to make your grandmothers hair curl but meeting Elizabeth makes him want things he never thought possible. Elizabeth may be caught up in something beyond her control but that doesn't stop her from trying to escape . I loved that she's tough enough to stand up to Saxon and the chemistry between them is off the charts! There's just something about this growling male who itches to lay his hands (mouth and anything else!) on Elizabeth that had this reader turning the pages and not wanting to put this book down . The only thing I didn't like was the instant love/lust as I prefer more of a chase with build up. What really surprised me though was the actual story filled with greed and corruption. This was so much more than I expected with a really great storyline that's action packed and pulsates with passion . I'm only sad that I have finished it but will certainly read more from this author.

Whew more than a month later and I'm finally writing my review. Thank goodness I buddy read this with Brandee and have our conversation to look back at! I do remember very clearly that I LOVED this book. Every book in the series just gets better. It may be taking us forever to get through, but not because it's anything less than FANTASTIC!

Mine to Have got of to a running start! So much action and mystery right from the get go. I already knew I loved Sexton from the previous books but Elizabeth came out of no where and I was quite literally going "Who IS Elizabeth?" because so much of they myserty surrounded her and why she was a target. I was on my toes the whole time. At one point I was confused because it felt like we'd solved the mystery at like 40% in... which I knew couldn't be right. But I didn't even see the next whammy coming. So good!

Oh and the chemistry? It was electric. I think because Elizabeth - despite being technically the damsel in distress - was a very strong, determined, "I refuse to be the damsel" kind of character. Sexton didn't know what hit him lol!

I'm really excited for the next and final book in the series because Victor is probably one of the most interesting characters throughout the series and I think giving him his HEA will not only be interesting but challenging. Hopefully I'll get there very soon!
