PLUS two bonus scenes AND the original ending to OUT OF TIME!

OUT OF LINE

I always follow orders. My job, my life, depends on it. I thought this job would be easy, all the rules were made crystal clear, but when I met Carrie Wallington, everything got muddy. She's a rule I know I shouldn't break, but damn if I don't inch closer to the breaking point each time I see her. I'm ready to step out of line. And even worse? I'm living a lie. They say the truth will set you free, but in my case...

The truth will cost me everything.

OUT OF TIME

Being Carrie's bodyguard was one thing. Being her boyfriend is another. Every day she's mine is a day the sun shines in my life. Yet our time together is running out. Her father will never think a tattooed Marine will be good enough, so I'll do whatever it takes to be worthy of her love. But the road will take me away from the girl who makes me feel alive--the girl I can't live without.

Time only gets us so far...

OUT OF MIND

All I wanted was to be worthy of Carrie. One mission, just one, and I’d be able to give her the future she deserved. Then everything went wrong, leaving me tainted and broken. Carrie wants me to be who I was, but all that’s left is what they made of me. I’m no good for her. No good for anyone like this. I have to figure out how to move forward. Alone.

Sometimes love isn’t enough…

I absolutely recommend this boxed set! It and the author are amazingly fabulous!
Here are a few snippets of my review of each book....

*OUT OF LINE: "First and foremost....I loved this book. Like Love Loved it!! It had everything I wanted in a good book. It had the characters I love, a storyline that screamed trouble, and the romance I crave. Lots of steamy, forbidden, pent up romance. This author definitely has me hooked on this series and I am impatiently waiting for more."

*OUT OF TIME: "I am so happy with where McLaughlin took this story. At the end, I predicted how parts of it would go down, and even though I was right, I was still very pleased and even a bit surprised. I gladly recommend this book to those who not only love Finn and Carrie, but love New Adult reads as well. "

*OUT OF MIND: "This book absolutely tore me up and wreaked havoc on my heart and emotions. There were times I was hurting and crying over Finn and the hell he went through, only to turn right back around and loathe his very presence. As a reader you will feel every emotion available: pain, heartbreak, happiness, sadness, anger…everything. McLaughlin did such an amazing job writing this story and getting the emotion behind it out there for us to feel. To believe. To experience."

To say that I loved this series would be a complete understatement!! The Out Of Line series will take you on an amazing roller-coaster ride of emotions. This series will have you feeling angst, happiness, heartache, sadness, anger & frustration and of course, love :) The characters are realistic and easy to connect with .From the moment I picked up Out Of Line, I was hooked. I fell more and more in love with Finn and Carrie with each book. And even though I am sad that Carrie and Finn's story had to end, I was given the best possible ending!

This series took me on the best possible journey. I am so glad I took a chance and read this series. The sun is finally shining and I will forever be a fan of Carrie and Finn. I look forward to reading more from Jen McLaughlin in the future!

decent enough **SPOILERS AHEAD**

This series was decent enough but it didn't do much for me. Carrie is beautiful young woman with a magnificent heart. Finn is a good man who just wants to be the best he can for Carrie. I was all good with the series until book 3. Fin is going through issues recovering from his injuries, nightmares & survivors guilt from the ambush. His dad is sick & dies on,y making things worse. The writing was in the wall that Finn & Carrie's relationship would suffer. I began to skip thru the book as I didn't really want to delve into that or the attempt by Carrie to move on with her life. While I figured the two would get their HEA, once my MCs have hooked up I don't condone ANY attempts to start up other relationships.

4.5 Stars!
(average for first three books in series)

I read the individual stories within this box set back-to-back and enjoyed each and every one, but the third book (Out of Mind) was my absolute favorite. It blew me away with all the feels and one big UGLY CRY! It ends on a beautiful note, but readers can continue Finn and Carrie's story with a fourth book (Fractured Lines.)

Finn and Carrie

Finn and Carrie

This is one of the best books I have read. This is like a true story. I didn't get annoyed with the caricatures. I felt so bad Finn and Carrie in the last book. It's a must read........

A good read, I loved Finn and Carrie, their relationship seemed doomed from the start and there were some emotional scenes which made your heart ache for all concerned. There is a 4th book but after all they've been through in the first 3 I don't think I can take any more angst.

I recommend this box set especially because once you start, you won't want to set it down. Which is why I love it so much, I had no interruptions and was able to just keep on reading.
