The Author touches on a lot of valid truths. And I am in agreement with the fact that we (who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus through faith), have responsibilities, assigned by God, in the spirit realm. However, there are gray areas and lines that clearly leads you to "Works and Exchanges", and you really have to beware of when you are being guided to performing "Works", because Grace from God is a free, unmerited gift and being Justified by Faith has nothing, any longer to do with "Works"...and I don't mean, irresponsibility. The Court of Heaven and God's Courts mean different things to the "Redeemed Believer" vs. the "Non-redeemed, Non-Believer" and there needs to be clarification of "Legalism" for the Non-Believer vs. "Justification" OF the Believer (those who are already JUSTIFIED and does not have to jump through hoops of legalism anymore). Yes, satan went and brought some accusation against Peter in the court of Heaven...and Jesus told Peter what satan wanted do. But, that was before Jesus sacrificed himself to Death as Wages for our sins and then was raised to life, by God, to "JUSTIFY" us, who by FAITH believe Him as Savior. Yes, blood testifies in the court of Heaven...so the Blood of Jesus testifies of the righteousness of Jesus Christ in those who are Redeemed by faith. So, the redeemed don't have to call out family curses and possible accusations that satan may have tried to bring to the court of heaven, because that has no power on the redeemed, who are covered by the blood of Jesus! If you are a redeemed believer and satan try to bring accusation against you in the court of heaven, the Blood of Jesus cries out on your behalf and the seal which you have been sealed with by the Holy Spirit, bears witness with the Blood of Jesus, that you are ALREADY JUSTIFIED and NO LONGER CONDEMNED (there's your attorney and your witness...BAMM OF THE GRAVEL...YOU'RE ACQUITTED!). There are many personal opinions about certain things to justify his writings, and that's how non-fiction becomes fiction (when you stretch the truths). Again, there are truths that I agree with and then, there are areas that can hinder those who do not know the truth. I don't recommend this book, unless you know the Truth and know how to take what you can apply as an Apostle. You know how there are books that anyone can read and others have age group recommendations? Like how a Dr. Seuss book is recommended for young Children? But it's not recommended that a child reads, The Purpose Driven Life? This book should not be found in the hands of a non-believer nor a Babe in Christ, because it will only bring confusing.

This book (and CDs) was highly recommended by a source I trust, therefore it’s all the more disappointing. And a disappointment it is.
The title suggests the problem. Henderson has some helpful insights into prayer, but he presents it as a “secret” formula of “can’t” and “always” and “actually means” which runs contrary to the plain Biblical representation of God as a loving approachable father. (Applying the word “counsel” as if it means “council” also undercuts his exegesis.)
“We must not just do the right thing; we must do the right thing for the right reason.” Our motives are important. More important than devising arcane procedures only by means of which God is “freed” to do what he wants to do. Heaven is not limited by earthly rules of evidence. It’s like the guy with a hammer to whom every problem looks like a nail.
The Bible is full of imaginary from life. Jesus taught in metaphors and parables. To take his references to judges and courts as literal and to impose that image on the rest of scripture misleads readers. To impose saying the right words, making the right moves, genuflecting--no, he doesn’t recommend that. It’s been tried before, and it clearly is not the right approach.
Henderson has fifty or sixty pages of good material. Even padding it, he runs out of stuff halfway through. Nice cover art.

I REALLY dislike this book. I met up with a few other leaders and we discussed the book. We each were assigned a chapter to read. We were supposed to summarize it and present it to one another. One thing we all agreed was that the book was very confusing, the author kept jumping around, most things did not make sense, even though he had evidence from the Bible it was VERY LITTLE evidence. I DO NOT recommend this book. Yes there are a few things the author is right about but most of it just doesn’t really seem to come from God. I was bothered my whole week just by reading this book. My spirit does not agree with this book. God bless all

I find this a fascinating subject.
I have been hearing about this subject lately. I think Robert Henderson did a good job of explaining what it is and how it works. He uses scripture to prove his point of view, not just expecting his readers to blindly believe him. I liked that. I think it has a lot of meat. I will re-read this book the concept is new for me and I hurried through to get the idea,now I need to slowly consider this subject.

Victory!
First I’d like to thank my Heavenly Father for getting me through this book and brother Henderson I’ve thank you for your testimonies. For 2-3 years I’ve had this book on my Kindle and have been oppressed on every side from finishing it. But this year 2021, the favor and love of the Jesus has gotten me through! I have clearer understanding and revelation of my position and roll. Glory to God!!!

This book summarizes and expands on spiritual proceedings the Lord has been teaching me over many years. There is much to learn from this study. At some points I was prayerfully hesitant about some uses of Scripture where the original Greek or Hebrew could have several meanings.

I use to think that it was better if I prayed harder and/or longer for God to hear me. However based on this book, God's throne is set up as a courtroom and Jesus is there as our mediator speaking on our behalf. I now have a different view of how I personally pray.

I am NOT a new disciple, by any stretch…
… but let me tell you, hardly anyone is teaching this. Virtually no one was teaching this 50+yrs ago when I was a new believer!
This, is “end times HolySpirit revelation revival” essentials. My husband, myself and a good friend have been USING this - just the last week or two - and oh my goodness‼️
Two of us had horrendous childhood trauma issues and the other is mostly just “normal screwed up by life.” 😆 All 3 have been obeyers in excess of 45yrs, been in trauma recovery over 35yrs to one degree or another, EFFECTIVELY worked w/other trauma survivors almost as long, are familiar w/implemented and practiced multiple methods of trauma recovery… yet have continued to feel spiritually robbed and struggle w/areas we have been unable to identify, never mind experience real healing and freedom in certain aspects.
At the same time, we each have strong relationship and companionship with AbbaFather and YeshuaJesus, know The Word well, all of us have taught and ministered over the years, etc, etc.
Truth be told, although we each have known HolySpirit and each baptized and HolySpirit filled, we feel like that part of our walk has been significantly expanding and strengthening just in the past 5-6yrs. We each are of the opinion, based on our experience, that HolySpirit is being poured out in a new way for these exceedingly difficult times and a Harvesting is in the works. There is just something new and different happening in the Kingdom Spirit Realm.
We personally are experiencing personal HolySpirit revival because of the Courts of Heaven teaching and implementation into our prayer life, both together ministering to each other as well as in our private time w/our LORD.
My husband and I were introduced to Courts of Heaven by Praying Medic Dave Hayes w/his 2 books on the Courts of Heaven. My husband embraced this teaching and began using it immediately with good results. Our friend was more familiar with Robert Henderson’s teaching and has used it in counseling ministry for some time.
I just “discovered” this teaching the end of Jan 2024. I HAVE almost every Robert Henderson book now and both Praying Medic books. I have only READ “Unlocking Destinies From the Courts of Heaven: Dissolving Curses That Delay and Deny Our Futures” (which I bought 4yrs ago) and
“Unlocking Destinies From the Courts of Heaven: Dissolving Curses That Delay and Deny Our Futures” (revised/expanded edition)… but will be reading EVERYTHING by R. Henderson on this subject.
For reasons I cannot explain, I was resistant to this material, by both authors. Only reason I can suspect was my enemy was interfering. Very “accomplished” in spirit warfare - my history made that a necessity - but felt like I was going in circles in some ways because many strongholds just did not seem to submit.
Now I understand WHY. I was missing a key tool, putting “cart before horse”! With this understanding, entering into His Courts and APPLYING what YeshuaJesus did on my behalf in the most effective way I have EVER experienced, that enemy has been rendered defenseless as I address each thing HolySpirit reveals and brings to my attention. Things I ”took care of” MANY times before but had not gotten to the “root and seed” of yet so “layers” remained.
I have not gone on to other books yet because I find this new concept to be a “new kingdom” of understanding for me. My soul and mind frankly struggle to “get my arms around this” but my SPIRIT IS SOAKING IT UP‼️ I suspect I am having more trouble “getting it” than my husband and friend have because of my specific issues and strongholds - that NOTHING ELSE has broken through.
I am GETTING to areas “under lock down” I have not been able to get to before‼️
If you identify with any of this, consider starting with “Unlocking Destinies From the Courts of Heaven: Dissolving Curses That Delay and Deny Our Futures”… it gets to the heart of serious strongholds in terms of teaching but you will need this book to carry forward understanding the process. Yes, this book DOES cover some of the same material but serves as a good INTRODUCTION, is smaller, more compact, condensed, focused on a smaller area & fairly quick to read.
When that whets your appetite, consider this one to move forward with a fuller understanding of the PROCESS of coming into His Courts and addressing that in which you remain “stuck,” captive, unsuccessful, “repeating,” whatever.
Useful also when your family and/or relationships are a mess. Many prodigals that need to come home these days, lots of spiritual fracturing in lots of families these days. Our enemy has been unusually busy.
If you are tired of “going in circles,”
I STRONGLY encourage learning about and practicing what Robert Henderson teaches. Frankly, start with his newer material - HolySpirit has corrected some misunderstanding he had in earlier work, which frankly, comforts me. Humility is a powerful gift‼️

The subtitle is misleading and I quote ' Granting God the legal right to fulfill His passion and answer our prayers'. If you are a born again child of God you have not only granted God his 'right' to you. Have the author forgotten what is written in Romans 8:33 & 34 and I quote:
Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is GOD who justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? IT IS CHRIST that died, yea rather, that is risen again who is EVEN AT the right hand of God, Who also maketh INTERCESSION for us."
Jesus Christ is already making intercession for us. This whole verse sums it up for me.
The book makes it too complicated for new believers. The Bible is pure and simple. Lets keep it that way.

The moment I took up this book, I have not been able to lay it down. Every word is powerful, thought-provoking, revealing of the power we can have through prayer, to breakdown strongholds, to reclaim that which we have lost through sin. I go away feeling empowered, having a better understanding of how to go into the spiritual battlefield by first presenting the cases before the Courts of Heaven. A must read for those who desire to see breakthroughs in their prayer life.

Great book

I avoided reading this book for a long time out of a fear that it would go too far. But when I read it I was delighted. Henderson reveals important kingdom keys here. We all need to be operating more proficiently in the courts of heaven in these last days.

Opening up the way forward.
I have heard a lot about the Courts of Heaven but was advised that the book is by Robe Henderson would give some clarity on this subject, they were right. This book explains in easy to follow stages with no duming down the workings and processes of establishing GOD's order on earth as it is in Heaven. Scripture based as is the only way Robert takes you through the reasons and then the process that will give your prayer life a new edge because it is following the ways of Heaven and reveals the simple way to defeat the enemy. I have read a number of other book is Ann's heard messages from various speakers all Godly men but I have to say they have gone in at such a level that the first steps are not explain the ABC if you like but this is a book that I found helpful and productive and if you want a better understanding of the Courts of Heaven this could be the book for you.

Mostly, I feel challenged by the thesis of this book to take a different approach to my prayers. Henderson asserts that all prayer (and perhaps all of life) operate as legal transactions that take us before the throne of God. The Father wants to grant our desires that align with His but may be prevented from the legal side if we have unaddressed sin issues--either in our own lives or possibly in the lives of our bloodline. Satan can and does use these against us as legitimate claims for his right to bring negative circumstances upon us or to prevent God's goodness toward us.
I am not sure I fully understand the spiritual ramifications of Henderson's principles; thus, I don't know if I can believe all of them. However, I am intrigued and motivated to discover the plethora of court and legal terminology Scripture employs to emphasize God's holiness and the Righteousness we have in Christ that allows us full access to His presence.

what a read
I read this book on a fast. The book made clear to me why certain things I am dealing with seems as if prayer alone does not fix it. Robert goes In on agreements and covenants that needs to be broken and iniquities the devil accuses you of stemming from your 3rd and 4th generation. The court of Heaven makes you very tactical in prayer because it is a battle. It reminds you that if your going to war you must know the rules and the tactics to have a gods fighting chance. This was such an awesome read. I know my life will be transformed after practicing these methods. I’ve already found myself walking in the courts of heaven in prayer one night. I thank God for this teaching.

Wow wow wow!
Every Christian on earth should read, ponder, meditate, and re-read this book. I read the original years ago, but somehow it didn't stick with me. But the Lord brought me back around to reread this revised and upgraded version, and I am completely blown away and transformed by it.
I have wept through much of it. I've walked with the Lord for 53 years and been an overseas missionary for eighteen years, and there is so much of the word that I've been completely blind to!
Thank you, Robert Henderson for bringing this message from heaven to earth. Maybe now we will begin to see our prayer manifesting around the world: "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done!"

This book was recommended to me in 2017 before my dad passed by a friend. I got a soft copy and left it in my cloud storage until January of this year, 2025. I wish I had listened to him because honestly my eyes opened up to some spiritual secrets. As a Christian, one of the greatest challenges is praying and getting that feeling that God is not answering you. There were some helpful insights but only in regards to revelation God had already been showing me. Nothing actually pertaining to The Courts of Heaven. I had a really hard time connecting with this book and overall very disappointed. Something is off and I’m not so sure the author has the right revelation on this topic.

I will continue books in this series
I came back to reading this book after a fast & during a season in my life of spiritual growth. I have never thought of the Kingdom of Heaven as a courtroom of paid attention to how many words in the Bible are legal words used in courtrooms. On earth as it is in Heaven. Wonderful read!
