Rivard's werewolves live closer to nature than shifters in other popular series. Their dens are comprised of caves in an Appalachian wilderness area. They don't use a lot of technology, nor do they seem to have an abundance of money. The various species of shifters avoid contact with humans because of human hunters who seek to annihilate all shifters.
Sarah Harper is in serious trouble when she is stranded on foot and without her glasses after an accident that totaled her car on an icy and remote mountain road. Werewolf alpha Cain rescues Sarah and brings her to his pack with plans of returning her to civilization as soon as it is practical. Sarah and Cain find themselves attracted to one another, and (as you would predict) are not successful at fighting the attraction!
Sarah's training as a nursing student equips her to assist with Snow, a pack pup who suffers with severe asthma. Snow quickly attaches to Sarah, and Sarah grows more and more attached to the pack, as well as to Cain. There are some mysteries regarding Snow's father, why he is not involved with Snow, and what exactly happened to Cain's previous human mate, Dawn.
I don't usually read serial stories, but Bound to the Alpha has drawn me in. The plot and characters are engaging. The downside is waiting for the next part to be released (Part Three to be released July 22nd, 2014, per a note at the end of Part Two). This episode was $0.99 to purchase--while still likely to add up to more than what one would pay for a complete book, the price is at a level I am willing to purchase when the story is good.
I will continue with this series, but may delay until it is finished since I despise waiting between episodes!

I really like this series. In book two we get a chance to see how Sarah is treated by Cain's pack. Not everyone in the pack is happy to see Sarah. Both Cain and Sarah both know that she has to go back to her human life neither of them are looking forward to her leaving so he decides to stay a couple of weeks. Cain likes having Sarah there, but he has a lot on his plate with his pack his family his son and Snow who is his late mates daughter by his brother. This book was very well written like the first book. Although I must say I wish the wolves would move into 2014 I mean leaving in caves. I really loved how Sarah got along with almost all of the females in the pack and how she was willing to pitch in and help. I also liked how Cain was trying to keep his distance from Sarah to protect his heart and how she solved that problem. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
The cover is totally sexy and I love it :) Gets my attention :)
I bought this today and devoured it :) I really like this series, but it ends much too quickly. Viola ends her serials in good places, but this one is frustrating. I want to know what happens….like NOW lol! Thankfully Part Three will be out in less than 2 weeks….the torture of having to wait (pouts a little…ok a lot)!
I really really love Sarah now. She is just awesome :) She is strong and loving towards the pack :) Cain was not in this one quite as much as the last one. He shares the spotlight with all the new characters from the pack. I think some of Sarah’s nagging questions are mine too…lol There is not as much action in this novella as the last, but it still definitely held my attention and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Viola creates a cool world that I want to learn more about, and I get sucked right into her stories. Her writing style is easy to read and become involved with the story. I can’t wait to read the Claimed by the Alpha series next while I wait for Part Three.
I highly recommend the series to my shifter loving friends who like serial novella series, but some may want to wait until Part Three is out (July 9thish) which I think is the last part, but I could be wrong.

Part II of III in this basic, "lost and mated by the werewolf" story, introducing a bit more of a (werewolf family/pack) setting and story. Again, worth it when the mood strikes for a simple, diverting, and semi-heated shifter read.

Sarah gets to know Cain's pack and gets to find out about Cain's son as well as whom Snow is and who her father is .. as well as gets a shock as well at the end of this book to find this out and more well buy , read and review must say love reading love werewolves and mating and packs and love this book and others by Viola Rivard ... there is much to be said plus Sarah wants to stay but she feels she must go since Cain is to take her back but deep inside these two they desire and long for each other will they both stay within the pack or will Cain let Sarah go if so will Sarah survive the loss of the one man she desires most in this world and how will Meadow deal with the fact her brother wants Sarah and don't want her to leave so question is will Sarah stay or will she leave and since these two have mated or coupled will Sarah be pregnant or will she not have to worry on that .. find this and more out by reading this and read the third part to see what the final conclusion is ..

Very well paced. Strong writing. Nice character development. Great Maury Povich moment! If I put my critiquers hat on I would say that I wish the book had hooked out around that issue. That was the most gasp-worthy moment of the book for me. Sarah showed herself as a consummate maternal figure so when the book ended where it did, it did not leave me gasping. It left me scratching my head as our heroine felt she was in a predicament. I didn't view it as a predicament because she was exactly where she wanted to be with a 'problem' that she'd proven she was the best person to handle.

I am really interested in this story now that i know for certain it's the story of Ciam's upbringing . which obviously takes place while he is a child ,before the claimed by the Alpha's series starts.
The story involves his father cain, and his new mate sarah, as well as most of the pack, just as kids or teenagers.It is actually hilarious to read them as kids ,because their attitudes and mannerisms haven't changed to much in adulthood .
I am anxiously awaiting part 3 in a few weeks .I'm sure to devour it as soon as it appears on my nook.

Great Great Reading
I'm in love love love,Viola Rivard has captured my heart with this book.The story has me addicted I'm excited to be reading this series, it's just so great that you will want to ignore everything around and just be into the characters of this series. I recommend this book to anyone who is a Fan of shifter romance because this is a great one. I curl up in my favourite chair and I did not move until I finished this part of the series. I'm so excited to read the next part of this series.

Another wonderful book by Viola Rivard. I just loved Part Two of Bound to the Alpha. We get to see Sarah interacting with the other members of the pact. There is an interesting mix of personalities in the pact and I am looking forward to learning more about them as the series progresses. Sarah and Cain are delightful characters. At the end of the book, I just wanted more. Looking forward to Part Three coming out in July!

This latest instalment moved along at a great pace and we finally get to meet the pack along with baby Caim (he's not changed much).
Things progressed naturally but with more of a focus on wider relationships this time rather than Sarah and Cain specifically, we're also introduced to some potentially mysterious group dynamics between the alpha and his brothers, or rather one particular brother, humm.

Could it get any better
viola did it again this is a great book. didn't know there were going to be others but that's ok I can wait til July for book 3. this is a good story now Sarah is getting to know the family and Cains son Caim. Snow has a great secret but trying to guess won't work maybe we will find out in book 3. keep reading it only can get better and boy book 1 & 2 are fantastic I am sure book 3 will be amazing.

Loved it! Storyline continues to be well written fast paced and entertaining. It's a little different than most shifter books I've read since the wolf shifters live more primitive, in the wild and hardly ever associate with humans. Sarah is adjusting to pack life and Cain wants to keep her. Enjoyed all the characters and their interactions. Can't wait to read more in this series. Would recommend.

Looked for this story right after finishing the first book. The story continues, and suddenly we discover the heroine may not be as scatty as she first appears. The wolf clan has loads of interesting secrets and I was drawn into the daily life once more by the writer's story telling technique. Like the way Cain falls silently in love with the heroine. It seems too that the feeling is mutual. Wanted the next story right away.

I like reading serial novellas because they are fast paced and get into the story quickly. The first one did a good job of introducing us to the story but I didn't feel enough was happening in this one. It was nice to get a glimpse into the lives of Cain's pack but I would've liked to have seen more process in the storyline.

Hot wolf shifter series - cliffhanger. Part of Kindle Unlimited. Hot Alpha and timid woman meet under dire circumstances. He doesn't want her but can't help himself. When he brings her back to his den he thinks he will send her back, but things keep happening. What will happen when he does something that she does not think she can forgive him for?

liked this one too. again wish that authors would get back in the habbit of just having one long book instead of a bunch of serials that are under 100 pages in each section. But would probably read the next one.

I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as the first one, but was I ever wrong. Sarah is taken into the pack and learns that there is one thing she can't live without. Cain develops feelings that he thought were lost to him. Full of emotion, kindness, and lust. Looking forward to more!

There's not a lot of depth to the characters and the dialogue is fairly basic, but the story and characters are interesting. I'll definitely continue following this series and author.
