Rate this book
After being seriously injured in an explosion, Will Jones is sent home from Afghanistan—alone. Struggling with the physical and psychological effects of his injuries is hard enough without worrying about the other two-thirds of his threesome, Isaac Andrews and Ade Drew, who are are still on assignment. When Will hears that their unit is being recalled to the US early, it should be good news, but Will knows how quickly things can go wrong. He's not willing to trust until he can lay eyes— and hands—on the men he loves.

I'm with other reviewers, the story was way too short. Other than that? I loved it.

3.5 star review by The Blogger Girls.

I really liked the blurb on this one. Sucked me in right away. Will is home recovering from his combat injuries, both physically and mentally. Unfortunately, he is having to do it on his own, as his two lovers are still deployed. Much of this story is about Will’s struggles with this, with his being alone while his lovers are together in potential danger with the threesome reuniting at the end.

What I read, I really liked. However, this was just so short that we really didn’t have the time needed to really get an understanding of the characters or their relationship, other than what we are told by Will. I felt horrible for Will having to go through his recovery on his own, in addition to dealing with having his lovers remaining in the combat zone. Their reunion was wonderful and sweet, but again, we only got a tiny tidbit.

Emily is certainly on the right path here, and I hope she will continue to expand and grow her stories. I am definitely interested in seeing something more involved from her in the future.

This is a definite read-with-a-cup-of-coffee story– by the time the coffee is finished, the story will have come to its conclusion so a perfect story to read when you only have a little time.

It's a gentle exploration of love in a three-way relationship although the bulk of the story is spent with Will who is a military man recovering from injuries at home, while his two partners are still in the war zone. It finishes with a sweet, sexy welcome home scene.

There is so much scope to tell more of the story of these three men so maybe a sequel would be the way to go!

In a short, snapshot like style, this peek into Will's life tells the story of his return home after an explosion that seriously wounded him. As the only member of a loving threesome to make it home early, with the other two still in the war zone they served in together, Will has an extremely hard time of it. Flashbacks bother him, of course, the physical recovery is taking longer than he wants, and the pain of missing his two lovers does the rest. Honestly - I have no idea how he even manages!

Even the good news that both lovers will be home soon seems unreal to him, and the waiting is almost impossible. I liked how the slightly disjointed style matches what Will goes through and would love to hear more about these three men. Isaac and Ade definitely sound interesting but don't get enough air time - at least as far as I am concerned.

If you like short impressions of people's lives, if reading about military men dealing with injuries sounds interesting, and if you're looking for a read that ends much better than it begins, then you might like this short story.

This story caught my attention as soon as I saw it was not just menage, but a military story. I will almost always gravitate towards a menage and the combination with the military angle is one that I haven’t seen often and I was curious to see how it would be explored. Moreton does a nice job showing us Will’s pain, both physical and mental. He has numerous injuries and is plagued by dreams and flashbacks of the accident that almost killed him and his partners. We can also feel how anxious and scared Will is for his men, as he is home safe while they are still in harm’s way. It is especially clear in those final days as Ade and Isaac’s return is imminent and time seems to stand still for Will as he waits.

This short story introduces us to Will, Isaac and Ade. Three men, all serving soldiers in Afghanistan and all in a relationship together.

Recently injured, Will is at home recovering from his injuries and dealing with his memories. He also has to deal with the fact that Ade and Isaac are still in Afghanistan. What he really needs is his men home safe and holding him. When he learns that they are due back earlier than planned he is both slightly panicked and overjoyed.

I liked this one but with I could have really loved it had I been able to know about the men involved. Although I feel like I got to know Will a little as the story is based mostly around him, I didn’t really feel involved with Ade and Isaac.

I LOVE m/m/m stories, I love hurt-comfort and this one had both of those things.
It's told totally from Will's POV, Will who is coping and recovering from his injuries and waiting for his lovers to return from the war zone.
I would have loved loved loved this book if it had been longer. I wanted to know how they became a threesome, what they are going to do now, how is Will's PTSD going, I wanted to know more about Will's lovers.
I guess I just wanted more!

It could have been a 4-star-read - had all the signs - but it was so short that I just got a feel for it when it was already over. So instead it is only a 3 and if I hadn't been so captivated from the start, it would have been less, 'cause the story ended, where there was so much more to tell and so little was actually revealed. But well, even that little - to me - said very much - definitely enough to enjoy this little interlude.

This could definitely use a great deal more length. Too short for this story line.
