From the New York Times bestselling author of Rinnavation and The Big Fun Sexy Sex Book comes the first memoir from beloved actress, Housewife, and pop culture icon, Lisa Rinna. From her career, to her personal life, to spilling all the tea. If she’s experienced it... you better believe she’s gonna talk about it!

“This mouth has gotten me in so much trouble.” —Lisa Rinna

For decades, Lisa Rinna has been captivating audiences—whether as a soap opera icon, reality TV powerhouse, fearless social media provocateur or slaying in haute couture down the catwalks of Paris. But even though she’s always said it like she means it, there’s still so much more to the woman whose lips launched a thousand memes.

In You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Lisa peels back the curtain on her rollercoaster career and her unapologetic approach to life, dishing on the highs, the lows, and the “did-she-really-just-say-that?” moments that made her a household name. Yes, she’s spilling all the tea from the soundstages of Days of Our Lives to the drama of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she’s also opening up about what it means to grow older in an industry obsessed with youth, the lessons she’s learned about reinvention, parenting a daughter with a chronic illness, keeping her well-documented marriage alive and healthy, and being forced to grieve in public after the loss of her mother and beloved Beverly Hills fan favorite, Lois.

Bold, brash, refreshingly honest, and told with her signature wit and candor, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It is the story of a woman who understands that you go the furthest by playing by your own rules. It’s the story of a woman who realizes aging is just a chance at a new chapter. It’s the story of a Hollywood icon who refuses to let the world script her story for her. And she’s owning every bit of it, baby!

Barnes and Noble had a copy out early and they sold it to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Easily my favorite Housewife to ever be on the show and the book just proves to me why. Rinna was self-aware enough to give the people exactly what they wanted and to treat it like any other acting gig she ever had. I still to this day miss her and wish Bravo fans hadn’t run her off.

One of the more open celebrity memoirs I’ve ever read, not just about the traumas in her life like others, but she names names and about the juicy BTS stuff that’s always lacking in these things.

I loved this. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is one of my comfort shows. The amount of times I've watched it start to finish is remarkable (some might think concerning) and I was able to picture every scene she described perfectly. It's chaotic and disturbing and fun and cozy.

Lisa Rinna was one of my favorites to watch in the early days but towards her end on the show she became hard to watch at times, however I see that time completely differently now. Learning how much grief she was going through and the utter lack of empathy or care from most of the people she interacted with on the show was heartbreaking. Unless you've gone through that grief, you don't know how debilitating and destructive it is. The rage you can feel for the people close to you is especially isolating and traumatic at times. She was doing the best with what she had in the situation she was in.

The behind the scenes moments shed a big spotlight on iconic episodes and I loved every minute of reading about them. Although when I watch them back and know what exactly is fabricated, I will try and put it out of my mind to act as shocked as possible still. In classic Rinna fashion I did admire her for holding nothing back when it comes to her opinions on former housewives, but the body shaming did not need to be said and was definitely a low blow. Sadly, I think the incredibly interesting stories Rinna shared will be overshadowed by the public due to that comment.

I wasn't expecting to be as inspired as I was by her personal growth after leaving the show but I was filled with inspiration - I could not stop highlighting passages that made me happy to read. She blossomed and found her light after making a terrifying decision for change, I think that is beautiful.

I loved reading all about her authenticity, recklessness, vulnerability, joyfulness and cattiness. Although I think the show needs her most of all right now, she was clear in stating she isn't coming back to RHOBH. I will continue to enjoy listening to her podcast with Harry which is where I truly started to really love and enjoy her.
___________

Your lowest moments really are what change everything.

I believe that once I removed myself of my own volition, my vibration was able to rise again.

Nope, I'm going to do it because I want to see how far I've come.

You attract who you are.

For years, we were kind of in a fog, but lately it seems like we're all coming into the light, and joy has returned to our lives.

A lot of people are more comfortable in conflict because it's the only thing they know.

It's what you do after that, how you continue to move forward.

What other people think about you is none of your business.

Expectation is resentment waiting to happen.

When things are really meant to be, you don't have to force them and you don't have to make them happen.

When nothing seems like it's going right, you never know why in the moment, but the universe will provide the reason in due time.

Change is so scary but I'm living proof that change is good. Very good.

It's such a gratifying thing to move on and not look back.

Yes, I've lived a thousand lives, but I have a thousand ahead of me.

Even when we are wronged, even if life or someone was seemingly unfair to us, we can choose to create strong boundaries or not. We can choose to remove ourselves from the environment or not. But there will always be an extra layer of suffering that comes solely from our minds and our reactions that others are no longer in charge of. Only we, by managing more wisely our own inner worlds, can become free of that suffering.

Lisa Rinna, I will defend you til the end. Shoutout to her ghostwriter - there were some extra cheesy phrases, but for the most part, this felt like Lisa was telling me her story in her own candor. I appreciated how much she talked about aging, women’s health, and menopause - something I don’t think the elite & famous acknowledge enough to the average woman. Happy to see her career flourishing at this stage in her life.

When my dad died nine years ago, my mom told me that how we deal with horrible events in our life is the true measure of our character. I’ve kept that in mind, and it has been very useful to me since to see who people truly are.

When Lisa Rinna’s mom died, she went into what seems like an uncontrollable rage that cost her a place on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While I can sympathize with the grief she experienced and feel bad for her at that, how she handled herself and treated others around her was absolutely horrific. She has no remorse - in fact, she thinks people should’ve allowed her to go on her rampage and not react negatively to her because of it.

This woman absolutely refuses to take any accountability for all the things that go wrong in her life - it’s someone else’s fault, people are nasty and mean to her for no reason, etc. A bunch of “Karens” got her QVC contract cancelled. She thinks she’s a “threat” to people (particularly women) in the business world and that’s why they refuse to work with her. She takes pride in being an “asshole” (her words), but doesn’t seem to understand that assholes are not well liked.

It’s infuriating to read this garbage. She needs to ask for a refund from her ghostwriter because the book itself is poorly written.

Side note: a group of my girlfriends and I are into “trash” TV. Whenever a book like this comes out, we take turns for one of us to actually buy the thing and then pass it around. Unfortunately, it was my turn to buy and be the first to read this absolute disaster of a book.

I really liked this book because it wasn’t just about RHOBH. I was a little sad to hear Lisa hated Boston and doesn’t mesh with Virgos (personal ouch), but in general, it was a good narrative.

In particular, I liked the chapter on her relationship with Harry. She’s always made her own money and maintained a healthy relationship with her own career and life as well as their joint life. It was also hard to hear about how she lost her mom. I lost a parent while they were in hospice care, so I understood what she meant by it being a blessing to say goodbye to that parent but also heartbreaking to live through it.

Even though I liked that this book went beyond RHOBH, who am I kidding? I also loved the RHOBH tea. Anytime a bravo celebrity breaks the fourth wall, I cheer a little bit inside.

The chapter on clothes is pretty cringey. Complaining about not getting a clothing allowance for a reality tv show? Cry me a river. Her editor should have cut that one. And the plastic surgery one… appreciate the honestly but I also felt like that went on for a bit long.

As a fan of Lisa Rinna and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there weren’t many shocking revelations in You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It. Still, it was fascinating to hear just how much the show is shaped, scripted, and manipulated to fit the producers’ narrative.

What stands out most is Rinna’s signature honesty and no-filter “real talk.” She leans heavily into name-dropping, but honestly, that’s part of her brand and not surprising if you’re familiar with her world.

It’s a quick, entertaining read — though I actually listened to the audiobook and highly recommend that format. Hearing her stories in her own voice makes the experience feel more personal and engaging.

If you’re already a Rinna fan or enjoy RHOBH behind-the-scenes insight, it’s a fun and worthwhile listen.

This was… pretty good, but very much what I expected from Lisa Rinna.

There is a lot of name-dropping (like, a lot a lot) and some mildly juicy gossip that definitely kept things interesting. I wouldn’t say I was ever bored — it’s an easy, fast celebrity memoir read — but nothing in here really surprised me or made my jaw drop.

If you already know Rinna’s vibe, you pretty much know what you’re getting: bold, chatty, a little messy, and very Hollywood. Fun in spots, but not exactly groundbreaking tea.

Worth picking up if you enjoy celebrity memoirs and want something light and gossipy — just don’t expect any earth-shattering revelation

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I love Lisa but if I didn’t know or love her, this would’ve been a very boring book. She has other books, so I’m sure we hear even more about her upbringing in those but this entire book was really just about her time in the industry and how it’s affected her family, which is great to hear, but a little boring. She didn’t really spill any tea or say things we couldn’t infer

I absolutely love Lisa Rinna - I’ve loved following her from RHOBH to Traitors and everything in between. I really enjoyed learning more about her very sweet and loving relationship with her mother, how her and Harry have evolved as a couple, and how unashamed she is to be herself. I did feel at times the book was slightly disjointed and through in Housewives details at random times. Overall, I enjoyed the book and look forward to seeing what comes next for Lisa

I loved this book! Listened to the audiobook to get the full Rinna experience, and it was so funny. From the epilogue she starts dishing RHOBH. Her unfiltered stories and opinions of Sutton, Andy, Garcelle, Kim had me cackling. Nothing super crazy, but I forgot a lot that happened and it’s so refreshing to hear such unfiltered thoughts. Love her

Such a fun audiobook for any RHOBH fans! It was so Rinna. The woman is an entertainer and this book kept me as entertained as ever. Even if I don’t believe *everything* that comes out of her famous lips, I appreciate her boldness, confidence, and tenacity. I finished the book feeling strangely empowered - that it’s never too late to start something new.
