Q and Tess are one of my all-time favorite couples. I love that they have overcome so much to be together, embracing their kinky darkness. If you've followed the 'Monsters in the Dark' series, you know that theirs was a long and harrowing journey.
At the end of 'Twisted Together', it seemed that Tess and Q were finally getting their happily ever after. Of course, this isn't a couple that anything comes easy to. It was no surprise that the fairytale ending would take a little work.
While their love for one another is absolute, Tess and Q struggle with settling down. In many ways, they've wholeheartedly embraced their new, slower-paced, domesticated lifestyle. However, they find their lives to still be lacking in many regards.
When Tess plans a birthday getaway for Q, it becomes clear that the two need to address some issues that are causing a rift between them. Q, in particular, continues to struggle with his darker urges. When he reveals a secret that he was keeping from Tess, he also confesses thoughts that had been plaguing him. He begins to question his sexual relationship with Tess again, turning their world upside down.
In the end, things work out beautifully. There isn't anything that can stand between Tess and Q for long, even themselves. It was great to have a little more time with two of my favorite characters, especially during a time with less danger when they've finally settled down. I really enjoyed the closure and warm-fuzzy feelings that this book left me with.
As an added bonus, Ms. Peppers provides a sneak peek into her upcoming book. Based upon the teaser provided, I'm already dying to get my hands on a copy. It is bound to be another great one.

I remember just like it was yesterday... When I first read "Tears of Tess" I was speechless. That book was my first dark romance and it was my first Pepper Winters book I ever read. After I read Q & Tess's story I was blown away with the story and also with the sexual tension too... After I finished "Monsters in the Dark" series, I became a huge fan of Pepper's work because my God, that women knows how to write dark and twisted love stories. She's my queen and I'm addicted her words... :)
Before I start to read this novella, I already knew that will be a fucking perfect ending for Q & Tess! Because how cannot it be? We're talking about Maître Q in here. Everytime he says that word "esclave"... Argh my body is so fucking ready for him. After all, how can that man disappoint me huh?

If you ever read my reviews and listen to my rants and ravs on the books I read and review, then listen to me here: READ THE MONSTERS IN THE DARK SERIES, I'm talking dark, epic, LOVE of the raw primal animalistic need of LOVE.. And Q MYYY Q you will want to meet him.. And boy have I missed him.. So did I enjoy this? Hell yes.. Actually this series made me love dark romances, I fell in love with edgier reads because of this series so if I can love them then I bet your Ass you can.. Just saying..
I didn't need sweet sincerity. I needed a man. A monster. A master to fuck me. I needed him to take away my choice because then I could give in. I could stop thinking. I could be nothing more than Tess with her Q and scream and cry and beg and pant and thrust and thrust on the majestic cock of my saviour and husband.
So what's it about?
To me this was an epilogue to their romance, and a great edition to closing what we've read up to now. Tess has been brought, been through the mill and Q has dark needs.. So they have a relationship that is full of need and want and boy do they still WANT AND NEED EACH OTHER. This ending is full of sexy moments. And there's also moments of them as a couple loving each other and seeing what any relationship worries about, yet for Q he worries he's too dark and twisted for a normal relationship..
My thoughts and feelings
Do not worry here, Pepper has still made us love Q and Tess and continue to enjoy their ups and downs as a couple, as a twisted couple, but also as a different couple.. There is the added notion of them being a normal couple in a normal relationship, butttt they have an edgier sexier need that is still there and is theirs.. I loved every sexy moment, every part that was full of worry and all those endearing moments.. I will forever love Q and Tess and listen to me read this.. It's a ride, at times hard but then at times wonderful, beautiful and this book was a perfect conclusion to their very twisted relationship..
I wanted her. No, I was beyond that. I was fucking obsessed with her.

Did you miss Tess and Q? Because I did! And I'm happy that we got this novella with these two, It was nice reading about them again! It's nice to see that there is still the love, the passion and the devotion between Q and Tess. They are perfect for each other even though they are not perfect, still both have something to give to each other.
Q is the same possessive, protective, super hot and dark man we know and Tess is strong, stubborn, funny and sweet! I loved them both and I enjoyed their moments in this one!

I was so excited when I received my ARC copy the other day, because I have a feeling I’ve been waiting for this for ages.
Holy crap, Pepper Winters, I applaud you! You are a master of your craft.
Je suis a toi is a Monsters in dark novella, great addition to the series and our final farewell to Quincy Mercer and Tess Snow. This is a short intense read and you will probably finish it in one sitting. I know I did. I loved every minute of it!
Monsters in dark is one of my all time favourite series. I was completely mesmerised from the moment I read Tears of Tess. I questioned my sanity many times while reading this series, but I couldn’t contain myself from flipping pages.
If you’re a fan of dark, twisted reads, you probably know what I’m talking about. I am not sure it can get better than this.
This novella has it all. Great storyline, romance, hot sex scenes, fair amount of BDSM and HEA.
Both characters have already been through so much, but they are survivors. They healed.
Past is in the past.
I had a feeling we finally see them in a different light. Tess changed everything for Q. She is still very much in love with her monster maitre and a strong heroine we grew to love. She would literally bleed for the one she loves. I never saw her as a weak character, but although she went through a great deal of traumatic events, she stayed true to herself.
Q is not the same person we had a pleasure to meet in previous books.
I’d say he eventually made peace with what he is. Is he a monster? Yes. But one with a huge weakness - love. Make no mistake, he is still one hell of mysterious, messed up individual, but trust me when I say, he is a changed man. Their love is unconventional, but so, so perfect.
They both still indulge in some steamy activities between the sheets, and there is plenty of emotional turmoil and tender moments.
Although, I know this whole series is not for faint hearted, Q and Tess are one of my favourite characters, and even though they’re both twisted in their own way, their bond is unbreakable.
They finally got the ending we all hoped they will.
I feel that this series ended with a perfect ending for both of these characters, and one more thing… we will get another Pepper’s new dark romance series soon!

I can still vividly remember the first time I read Monsters in the Dark and was utterly consumed with Pepper Winter’s scintillating, vibrant, dark and hypnotizing prose. She didn’t hold anything back when she literally ingrained Q and Tess into our hearts, mind, and souls. Their passion, addiction, sexual need, and love for each other was brimming throughout the pages and I knew I couldn’t get enough of them. And so when I found out Ms. Winters was doing another installment to this series, I knew I couldn’t wait to dive back into the world of Q and Tess.
“If anyone tried to convince me that Q wasn’t capable of love, that he was a monster with deep dark urges, that one day he might hurt me far beyond my tolerance of pain, I’d laugh in their disbelieving face. The way Q stared at me in that picture negated any naysayers or skeptics. Our love was unique. And I would never, ever take it for granted.”
Je Suis a Toi is a novella to the Monsters in the Dark Series and it follows up on one of most favorite and beloved couple, Q and Tess. If you haven’t read this series, then you are truly missing out on reading of my favorite dark romances and so I urge you to go to read this series.

Since this is a novella following up on Q and Tess and their relationship, I consider this installment to be somewhat an extended version of an epilogue. Following up on the last book, Ms. Peppers allows readers to see that there are some challenges that Q and Tess must endure. They love each other dearly but there is something holding them back. And in true Pepper Winter’s fashion, she will douse her readers with all the feels through the eyes of Tess and Q. And if you are wondering if Q and Tess will have that happily ever after, then I will happily tell you yes. It will passionate, raw, sexual, dark and of course twisted.

This is a beautiful ending to a great story and series. I assumed I knew what Q's issue was in the beginning of the book, however the dark, twisted man kept me guessing with his over heated ego. I smiled from beginning to end, this book had me hooked from the first page. After reading Twisted Together I felt like I wanted more closure to Tess & Q's story and this book does exactly that. Q and Tess got the ending they deserved and I love them even more than I did before, definitely one of my favorite couples, twisted and all. ❤

The Monster’s in The Dark Series was my first introduction to Pepper Winters and one that I have never looked back from. Q and his esclave, Tess have always had a permanent place in my heart as their story totally captured my imagination as well as my heart. Two broken souls brought together in harrowing circumstances yet both finding something that they never thought possible, love.
Je Suis a Toi is the icing on the cake for us Q and Tess fans, we left them with their happy ever after, but I often wondered how they got on further down the road. Je Suis a Toi, gives us that insight and it was very much welcomed.
It is Q’s birthday and Tess is planning a surprise getaway. Q has been distant and Tess is very much aware he is hiding something from her, which Q never does. Their relationship thrives on honesty and being totally open with one and other so Tess knows that whatever is bothering him is serious. In the first instance she is hurt, but she knows that when he is ready he will tell her, albeit she may drive herself insane first.
With this couple though, if anything is certain it is that nothing will come between them, not errant thoughts nor insecurities, not changes in wants or needs not even Q’s inane beliefs that his darkness with consume Tess. These two thrive on their darkness, it is their darkness that makes them…them. It is their darkness that embraces them as husband and wife and a darkness they both need down to the marrow in their bones.
This story beautifully wraps up Q and Tess’s story. I loved catching up with these two and this story just solidified the love that I have for them as a couple. Pepper Winters always delivers that emotion and that character connection that I crave and everything that these two go through I felt. It is testament to life that marriages have little speed bumps, these two hit a little one but these two have a soul deep bond and one that is indestructible. I loved it and I adore this couple.

In this much anticipated followup to the most notoriously hot series, Pepper Winters delivered something wicked, delicious, and delightful. The love and scorching heat that burned up my kindle while reading this story was incredible.
"She wasn't a princess. F*** no, Tess was my queen. My sinning, cursing, f***ing twisted queen."
I devoured every drop as if it might be my last, making sure to read slowly and savor every morsel.
"We were on a never-ending tug of war where we each took turns to win. But there was no losing. We had far too much happiness to ever lose."
I loved how this story is several years after the last book and how they've settled into a life that could only be normal for Tess and Q. But with every married couple, no matter what kind of sex life you have, you're still going to have insecurities and issues.
"He'd love the bruises he inflicted while he wanted to bleed himself dry for causing them."
It was refreshing to see them suffer internal struggles versus attacks from the outside. To me, it showed how they were both vulnerable and strong. We were really able to see all of their inner workings and how their love could overcome any obstacle.
"You'll never break me."
"Ah, my sweet, sweet Tess. That might be the case..." But it won't stop me from trying.
This book had all the feels and I enjoyed every single page from beginning to end. My smile was huge and my heart was full when I finally read the words: The End.
Thank you, Pepper, for once again showing us you are the master of the twisted, dark, and decadent. Well done, my dear!

Je Suis À Toi was just what I needed. Ever since I read that there would be more to Tess and Q's story I'd been excited as hell. I devoured the Monsters In The Dark trilogy when it was released back then and Q has become one of my all time favorite dark/broken alpha males.
This novella had everything I could have ever dreamed of. I'm literally on cloud nine now.
Tess and Q's union was intoxicating. I really enjoyed and was intrigued by Q's struggle with wanting more out of life and wanting more for himself. Also the issue of being worthy of more. Luckily Tess was being just Tess. Stronger and loyal to herself and to her husband. But she also struggled and it was exciting to watch them both in their darkness and do what they did best, which was staying true to who they were and accepting it. Owning it. Their darkness, which was their normal.
I was in a bubble of flawlessly written erotica and felt both Tess and Q's all consuming love through every written word from Pepper Winters. She delivered a strong story and stayed true to her characters. I was already captured and addicted by Tears of Tess and three books later my addiction has been fed. I seriously love Pepper Winters and her dark romance stories. This was fantastic and I hung on every word which was seductive in every sense of the word. She's definitely my queen of dark romance.

HOLY GRAIL!! I'm huge fan of Pepper Winters book. I have read almost all the books of hers, the Indebted series, Pure corruption MC series, and I still love her books, cause I'm opposed with dark romance, she happens to one of them. Cause I loved the monster in the dark series, when I heard and saw that she is releasing a novella about Tess & Q, I have to rub my eyes to see if I'm seeing it or my eyes are playing tricks with, but I later one found outs it happening for real.
When I read this book, I was so happy, I was about cry (wink**). I just wanted to say that absolutely loved every second of the book that I read..

I am disappointed. I am so damn disappointed.
It started off so well, and then everything just spiraled down to a clusterfuck of a wreck, and I did not enjoy one frigging bit of it. I had such high hopes, mainly because it's Tess and Q, and they are one of my absolute favs. I feel like this kind of destroyed the sublime ending of Twisted Together.
But, then again, Winters knows how to write, and I certainly enjoyed the language.

What a perfectly dark ending to one of my favorite dark romance series! I read for escape and Monsters in the Dark offers just that. Pepper Winters has created a dark, sexy and highly erotic series with two unforgettable characters. Tess and Q are both damaged, flawed and perfectly matched for each other. I adore this series and read this intense story almost in one sitting.
Q was born into darkness, but he’d never baptized me in his blackest desires. And because of that, I could implicitly say he spoke the truth. No matter what he did to me, he would never truly harm me.
Told in dual POV's, this book is very, very dark and offers some BDSM along with the highly unusual relationship between Tess and Q. Having settled into married life, Q is hiding something from Tess that he fears will break them apart. But Tess is strong, brave and absolutely devoted to Q. She will let nothing and no one come between them!
We come alive when we’re together with no cages or locks between us.
Q is fascinating and irresistible. I love him!! JE SUIS A TOI is a very graphic story but it is truly Pepper Winters at her best. I'm very sad to see this series end but looking forward to what is next from this author!

There is no other book couple that is so beautifully disturbed, so brutally in love, so darkly perfect for one another. Their story was not easy nor pretty, but it was probably my all time favorite dark romance. Q and Tess, or the Mercer's, are perfectly broken together and they are fabulous. I loved every tortured step that was fought to get to their own place of happiness, therefore the opportunity to see how they have continued to exist together was an automatic one click for me!
Just as expected there is still that dark, sexy heat...
still that passionate ownership of a husband and a wife...
still that blend of pleasure and pain...

This final book in the series was like holding on and saying goodbye all at the same time to this most beloved couple. I wanted to prolong the reading and savor every last letter, every last word, from this final installment. Tess and Q's story will forever be one of THE best twisted, delicious and intense love stories out there.
I love you with all the shadows in the world for eternity.
