Annie Edwards was born deaf, but she’s never let that define her. She’s settling in as a freshman at Whitney Briggs University, loves her dorm, her roommate, her classes, but something feels as though it’s missing—enter Blake Daniels. He’s everything Annie is not—a rocker, a player, a college dropout. Her friends want to sleep with him, her brothers want to kill him, and all Annie wants is a chance to see where her heart takes her.

As the lead singer of 12 Deadly Sins, Blake has had his fair share of rock candy. But Annie has taken over his body, his mind, his heart—three things he’s never lost control of before.

Often first love and first heartbreak go hand in hand.

Sometimes the thrill of one is worth risking the other.

I think this is one of those books that proves that tastes change. When I first started this series a year ago I read the first four books all together and I really liked them, but with Rock Candy Kisses I just didn't like it as much as the others. I think I may have grown out of this type of story so I'm not sure if I'll be continuing with this series like originally planned.

The overall premise was good and I liked the idea of reading about Annie, who was born deaf, finally branching out on her own and trying to become more independent. But that isn't the story I got, instead it was mostly Annie letting her brothers push her around and never really standing up to them.

Her relationship with Blake was too overly sweet for me and it was frustrating how lovey dovey they were being before they really even knew each other. It wasn't realistic to me how they were in love so fast and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at Blake cursing the world for taking the hearing from "such a sweet girl" before they even introduced themselves!

Overall, I wanted more sexiness and less sweetness. I think I've just become more picky and critical of New Adult books since there are so many and most of them involve an innocent young girl who will most likely end up annoying me and a "bad boy" guy that comes and changes her world. I still recommend this series for anyone that likes a New Adult novel about a girl trying to break out on her own and the guy that helps her along the way. No, it didn't work for me but I know it will be a winner for many others.

When Annie Edwards is pulled to safety by a gorgeous knight in shining armor, she has no idea how it will change her life. Blake Daniels takes a blow to the gut when he first lays eyes on Annie, not realizing the change that is about to take place in his life as well. Both these characters swept me off my feet instantly. I loved Annie’s vivacious spirit and her outlook on life. Blake was far more than just a gorgeous bad boy who also happens to sing and play a guitar. He and Annie both had mountains to climb and rivers to cross – but together they were a powerful force and equally special characters. Reading their romantically tender – but hot – emotional love story was a unique and refreshing reading experience. I got far more than I expected when I downloaded this book.

To some, starting with the 5th book in a series might not be the best place to start. But I found that I had no problem becoming absorbed in the story or the characters here.

*Although this novel is part of the 3:00AM Series, it can be read as a standalone.*

This is the story of Annie and Blake
Annie is a freshman at Whitney Briggs. She came expecting to meet new people, make friends and of course, go to class. What she didn't expect was meeting bad boy rocker, Blake, the lead singer of the 12 Deadly Sins.

He's wild, confident and sexy as all get out. And he sees her like no one ever has before. Going up deaf, Annie knows how people see her, their shy away or flat out avoid her. But somehow, Blake makes her feel whole. Her deafness doesn't deter him, he doesn't seem to care what others think, as long as they are on the same page.

Blake just dropped out of college and with his band and family drama to deal with, he's looking for some down time. Meeting Annie is the best thing to happen to him in a long time but it couldn't have happened at a worst time. Loosing his twin brother put him in a dark place but Annie lifts his pain like nothing else could. Fighting for her is his saving grace, and when shit hits the fan, Blake will prove to Annie just how far he's willing to go to claim her for his own.

What I loved about it:
Blake and Annie together were so great. They were sweet, funny, intense and heartfelt. They healed each other, understanding each other on a level all their own. I loved Blake's tenderness and love for Annie and I loved Annie. She was a vulnerable person but she is also strong and loyal. Their love story wasn't without it's bumps and bruises, this is YA stuff, but the drama was low key. I was nervous because it felt like it would be a huge blow out but I was surprised that it wasn't dragged on. The ending was really cute too!

What I didn't like:
There is some OW drama that I found pointless. One was the constant flirting and getting hit by other women with Blake and the other was the mystery of Olivia. It was so misleading and convoluted and in the end it could all have been easily explained. I felt that the drama was created for sensationalism but it was pretty pointless. Blake's motives were honorable and for all the right reasons but the way he goes about it all just seems so stupid. I also felt like Olivia was all over the place and seriously OTT crazy. The fact that she comes in to try to break them up and then so easy slinks away was annoying.

Out of all the books in the 3:AM Kisses series, I was most looking forward to reading Annie's story. Annie has just been a little sweetheart the whole way through the other books, and I loved how protective Holt and Bryson were of their little sister.

Annie is deaf and she has attended a special school most of her life. Determined to break out on her own, she enrolls in Whitney Briggs, and is ready to kickstart this next stage in her life. She bumps into rocker Blake on her first day and he is immediately taken with the gorgeous enigmatic Annie. Blake has his own skeletons in the closet and he's not in a good place in his life. Blake's own transformation was a tad bit unbelievable to me. I would have preferred if it had been stretched out a bit.

That said, their romance was sweet and he let her set the pace, and he turned into a real gent.

I loved how supportive and protective Blake was of Annie, but also how he was willing to accept she was an adult where her brothers were still treating her like a little kid. I can understand it to a point, but there were a few scenes where I wished I could leap into my Kindle and punch both Holt and Bryson. I felt they were also very hypocritical as reformed ex-players themselves. But their motivations were pure. I also loved getting to see some of my favorite couples again.

Olivia is a nasty piece of work. Ugh. I hated that Bryson and Holt dragged her in to explain, instead of letting Blake do that. That was really unfair. This storyline was very predictable in my opinion and I totally guessed the twist relatively early.

I don't know anyone who is deaf, but it seemed realistically portrayed. I liked that Annie didn't see it as a disability and how she didn't let it hold her back in life. However, her mom was a little pushy when it came to the op, and it seemed like Annie was happy as she was. That said, in the end she seemed happy with the outcome.

All in all, this was a decent read and a good addition to the series.

I really liked how Annie's deafness was portrayed, even to the point of mean girls still treating her mean. Her brothers were probably the worse in treating her "special" and they were awful. Blake was from zero to sixty on his feelings towards Annie. I liked him.

Sweet and light book.
Insta love with a little bit of angst and drama.
The plot was quite predictable.
The writing was good; the pace too.
I liked both the MCs. Good secondary characters too. I hated her brothers though😡
I missed an epilogue with a HEA ending.
All in all, a quite enjoyable read.

Annie is an amazing girl. Sweet. loving, and independent (At least trying to be). Independence is tough with two older brothers around fending off the boys.

Blake is a mess. Blake is the lead singer for 12 Deadly Sins. Blake used to be a player. He has girls still lining up to get into his pants. But Blake does not want that life anymore. Since his brother died he has been looking for something more and unsure of what his future will hold.

Blake meets Annie on campus the day he is dropping his classes. He can't focus on school. This semester he needs a break to regroup, refocus, and figure out his life minus one brother that was his best friend.

Annie just wants to be independent and decides to get herself to her first class Bryson her old brother who is always looking out for her. Being deaf she never thought that getting to her first class would turn out to be a life or death situation. Thank God for Blake.

Blake is her saving Grace. And scoops her out of the way of a moving vehicle just in time. But she will be late for her class if she does not hustle so off she goes running across campus. Blake asks her name but Annie takes off and Blake loses her.

12 Deadly Sins have a booking/gig at the Brown Bear and just happens to be Holt, Bryson, and Annie's bar. They see each other again and this time Blake finds out Annie's name and that she is deaf. Blake also gets threatened by Annie's brothers and told to leave Annie alone.

Annie is determined to be her own person and she likes Blake so she will still hang out with him. Blake's secrets and past come to the surface. Some Annie can deal with right away but others take more time for Annie to understand the full story. This is difficult when you two brothers are trying to get you away from someone they feel is a bad influence when they don't know the full story.

This is the second story where the main character is deaf that I have read thus far. I love it. How Annie's brothers describe some of the noises that things make is hilarious and surprising accurate. You get to see a little bit of Annie's silent world and I felt like I got to feel my way through the music and Blake's life. It was a nice read and a good ending for the characters. Blake really is a knight in shining armor, he just dresses like a rockstar and has the body of a superstar.

Rating: 3 1/2 STARS

Happy Reading!

This one is my favorite so far in the series. There was some drama but not over the top. I really enjoyed both characters. They weren't perfect but they were still good people. The next book should be good it involves her friend and his brother.

So I've generally enjoyed the other books in the series that I've read and yet... This one... I just could not get into it.

Annie seems sweet and sounds like an amazing character but I just don't like her or Blake and everyone else seems just a tad overzealous and I just don't like them in this one.

Sorry Addison... I'll try some others :)

Annie has been deaf her whole life. She's been protected and sheltered by her parents and her two older brothers, Bryson and Holt along with the women in their lives, Baya and Izzy. She's excited to be going to Whitney Briggs University. She attended a school for the hearing impaired and hasn't been in a mainstream school since her first failed attempt as a child. Her parents have been urging her to have an Excel implant, they are convinced she is a good candidate and if she had the surgery, she would be able to hear for the first time. She just wants to focus on starting college and making a new life for herself. While she loved being surrounded by kids just like her, she wants to experience college with all types of people. She has to live in a world full of sounds and she must as well start living life and learning to adapt.

Her first day doesn't turn out to be quite what she hoped. For starters she missed the truck that is barreling down on her at the campus and is pulled to safety by a living, breathing Adonis. When he tries to make conversation with her, she flees the scene and makes her way to class. She has an interpreter to help her with her classes but he seems to be busy flirting with the catty girls in their class. Annie feels like an outsider.

When she lets off a little steam at the bar she owns with her two brothers, The Black Bear, she can't help but check out the gorgeous lead singer. Turns out his name is Black Daniels and he's her knight in shining armor from that morning. He seeks her out after the show and learns a little bit about her. But she picks up on a weird vibe from him. She figures he's scared off by her deafness.

Blake feels like his life is out of control. While he loves the band, he is struggling with the loss of his brother, Benji. He recently died in a motorcycle accident and Blake is having trouble coping. With little money and having just dropped out of school, his prospects are looking a little bleak. He is attracted to Annie; she soothes something in him. Since his brother's death, he's vowed to stop wasting his life by drinking and screwing random chicks all the time. Annie is a breath of fresh air.

But Annie's overly protective brothers aren't happy about this situation and make life more difficult for Blake than it already is. They are more than aware of how many girls he's gone through and there is no way their sister is going to be one of his random groupies. But his reputation is only one of the things standing in their way. Blake is hiding something from Annie; something huge. Something that he should have told her from the beginning. Of course, her brothers find out what he is hiding and let her know. Annie feels so betrayed and is truly gutted. How can they find their way back to each other? Why did Blake wait until it was too late to tell Annie what was going on in his life? Can she ever forgive him?

This latest installment in Addison Moore's 3:AM Kisses series had a little more angst than some of the previous ones. But like the ones before it, I love the way the characters from all of the books intermingle with each other. Their stories didn't end when their books did-they still grew and matured and moved on to new phases of their lives. The last one of the series, Velvet Kisses will feature Annie's college roommate Marley and Blake's brother Wyatt.

The guys in the band like to call the girls who flock the stage 'rock candy.' Let's just say I've had my fair share of rock candy.

Rock Candy? As in groupies? Sounds tasty. And slightly sexist but that doesn't seem to bother me.

"Yes, groupies."

"Yeah? What if I wanted to be one of those rock candy girls?"

"I think you're better off being you."

4.75 stars almost a 5 stars.

The more and more I reflect on this book, after a couple hours of finishing and marinating on it, the more and more I love it. It was near perfection. It was amazing. There were just so many things that went right with book in how it was written and how it was developed from beginning, middle, and end. It was engaging and very hard to put down. I took my time and savored it not wanting to rush on this journey of Annie and Blake's love story. It was just fantastic with a lot of richness to it.

What drew me to this book the most was the fact that the heroine Annie was deaf. This just another piece of interesting to the story and just really upped the ante for me. It was different. There are not a lot, or I haven't read a lot, where one of the characters has a disability but yet doesn't let their disability hinder life. It challenges them, but they still can live a normal life. They aren't a stigma like society tries to impress on them like they're not OK the way they are when they really are. They're just unique and different and sometimes people just don't understand that which is sad but by showing them in a positive light and bring more awareness to the issue than it normalizes it. And Annie was a perfect example of this. She was a healthy and normal woman who just happened to not be able to hear.

At the beginning of the story it was a new start for her, she was entering college in the hearing work after being in a deaf school most of her life. The brought challenges to her life, but she was more than capable of doing this even with two overprotective brothers in the wings. She had her own way of communicating and that worked for her. She wasn't looking for anything aside from getting an education. Fate on the other hand had other plans when she met Blake with a bang. Blake saved her life and from the time that they met sparks flew and a bond commenced.

This was the first time that Annie had ever felt an attraction for another person. It was new to her. It scared her a bit. And even though she knew nothing was wrong with her, she didn't believe a hottie like Blake could be attracted to her let alone want her. But he soon proved her wrong, and showed how much he wanted to get to know her.

There was a beautiful and a little bit heartbreaking scene where she told him that she was deaf. It showed his seriousness in her and how much he cared about her. He was drawn to her. From that moment on he was hooked and was very determined to have her in his life. What I enjoyed a lot about this book was the development of their relationship. They didn't go from 1 to 160 right away but instead their relationship was a gradual buildup. They became friends first and got to know one another and the more that they got to know each other the more their feelings grew and developed before anything romantic happens. But there was that building up to that moment. And it was beautiful to watch.

In fact there were so many beautiful moments between them. Their date in the hot balloon ride was really romantic and lead to a passionate first kiss. After anticipation building up between them, it was a nice moment. It was worth the wait. The payoff was really good. Another beautiful moment was when they were in his place, alone, and intimacy building between them but not the ultimate moment yet. But it was an intimate moment and no less special. They were topless and she wrapped her arms around him and "listened" while he played the guitar and sang to her. It was just such a special moment between them and had me tearing a bit. It was how they could communicate through music even though she couldn't hear it. It just really touched me. Their first time was beyond special and it really showed off their connection and love for one another. It was love. And I could feel that from the pages. There was another scene that had me crying too without spoiling too much, it was a moment in her class and he was there because he thought she might want him to be there. That one took my breath away. It was a doozy of a scene and very poignant. It was hard not to get emotional over it. There was the scene with him signing to her little things but had big meaningful moments of importance because of what they meant. Again very touching and beautiful. There were so many more scenes that were beautiful and amazing between the two of them but again I don't want to give too much away but believe me a lot of their moments were special and touched me. Their relationship was just really beautiful. I loved them together. They worked. They made each other stronger. I was rooting for them every step of the way.

They had a very passionate romance, but it was very emotional too. They went through some ups and downs throughout the story like all great romances do, though I did think a lot of the heartache could have been avoided if he told the truth. It was the hiding that was the more devastating than the actual secret, which wasn't that bad of a secret when all was revealed. Believe me I wanted to slap Blake upside his head for the bonehead move when he should have come clean in the first place especially the more they got involved. It was something that needed to be revealed. But I guess he built it up in his head and it made it worse so he kept quiet. I just didn't understand why he felt a need to. Anyway though they had some rocky moments, they came out on top in the end when everything came out into the open. They worked together as a couple and that was really nice and beautiful to see. I loved how strong their emotional ties were to one another, which then carried over to the passionate side of their relationship. Without those emotional bonds, their love scenes wouldn't have been nearly as sensual and sexy as they were. It always felt that there was more between them and that's what made their story sexy. Without it then it would just been two bodies slaking their lust and not their growing connection and love for one another. This was just a really nice romance that was full of emotions and sexiness at the same time. There was just a nice balance between the two to create this complete relationship. That was so great.

This was the second book that I have read in this series and from this author. I wasn't disappointed in the first that I have read in this series and I wasn't in this one. I might have enjoyed this one a smidge more than this one and only a teeny tiny bit more. But both stories were really good. And I am so glad I read this one. This proved that this series is worth delving into in the future, and I can't wait to read more in this series and about the these characters. I went a little out of order because some couples are already together by this point, but it will be nice to go back and read about them and see how their relationships had developed through the course of their book. I think it will be very much worth a read.

Like this book was very much worth the read. I really fell in love with it and the story between Annie and Blake. I loved them together but I also loved them individually. This was a beautiful story between two people who really belonged together and understood one another. They had so many romantic and beautiful moments that it was really hard to pick a favorite one because they were all my favorite. There was sweetness and tenderness yet there was heat and passion that consumed as I went more on more on their journey with them. The anticipation built and grew over the course of the book, and when it finally came to that ultimate moment it was totally worth the wait. The payoff was definitely there. I got emotional reading this book because of emotional content of this book. They each had emotional hurdles that they had to overcome but when they did, they tended to do it together with them being their for one another, and that was just beautiful and utterly touching. The heart squealed a tiny bit, I will admit. How could I not have fallen in love? Really? There wasn't much not to love. So many feels associated with this book. I will definitely going back and reread this story again in the future. Loved it.

I had the honor of beta reading Rock Candy Kisses.

I absolutely love the Kisses Series, then again I love everything Addison writes. If she wrote a phone book I would be the first in line to read it. She has a way with words that makes the story real and it sticks with you. All her characters are intertwined in the series and in every book we get an update on characters we know and love. Now on to Rock Candy Kisses.

I knew that Annie’s story was going to be emotional. Annie is not your typical girl. She is innocent, sweet and special. Even with a disability- she’s deaf, Annie is determined to have as normal of a college experience as possible. Until Blake comes crashing into her life.

The dynamic between Annie and Blake is special. He knows about her disability and looks past it. To him she is more than being deaf, she is everything he could ever dream of and more. His patience with her touched my heart. He never rushed her and always let her take the lead.

Although he didn’t have an easy road to proving his worth to her overprotective big brothers Bryson and Holt quite frankly made Blake’s life hell. They would like nothing more than to keep Annie in this confined little cage of safety when all she wants to do is spread her wings and fly. Last thing they wanted is for their angelic baby sister to fall in love with a bad boy, rockstar. As much as I loved Bryson and Holt I wanted to strangle them. I get it they are big brothers but let her breathe!

Their love wouldn’t come easy. They had quite a few road blocks and one hell of a secret pop-up in their way. Will their love survive or will Annie go back to being the sheltered little sister? I can’t tell you the answers to those questions, but what I can tell you is that this is one book you will want to read. All books in the Kisses series can be read as a standalone so don’t panic when you see book 5. Even though I highly recommend the previous books as well.

Watching Annie grow will forever be engraved in my heart. She proved that no matter what you have stacked against you, no matter of what disabilities, no matter what cards you’re dealt in life you can be strong, independent and beautiful. Blake to was battling some emotional stuff during this book. He was dealing with a loss of his own. With a heavy heart he moved through his life. Meeting Annie brought him out of the dark and together these two healed each other, grew both individually and as a couple. Against all odds two polar opposites came together and changed each others lives.

Rock Candy Kisses. I actually enjoyed this, it was very different and I liked the scenario of a deaf girl dating a musician, not your average love story. The antagonist (a stuck up drunk slut?) was a little typical and been done before, and I thought the climax was over dramatised and just a little unbelievable. Like why would Blake make you think that the baby was his when all he had to say was 'oh uh actually my brother knocked her up before he died and I want to take care of the baby as it's the last thing I have of my brother'. TADA. But no he had to act all shady about it and lie etc. I felt like when you're watching a sitcom and a problem is happening that can simply be solved by the person telling the truth and you're sitting watching internally screaming 'JUST TELL THEM'.
One thing that I think was a stand out was the sex. Annie is a virgin and the first time they have sex Annie doesn't orgasm, Blake continually tries to please her but he knows it's not her fault and after a couple weeks(?) he finally gets it. I like that little realistic and true tidbit.
What I did not like was the ending. Annie gets hearing implants and can suddenly hear perfectly. Completely underhanded the whole book. I was so angry about it. Blake and Annie don't have to try and work out a relationship and future together as a part deaf couple because guess what? Stupid happy cliche ending that makes the character growths meaningless appears.
If I were deaf and had read this it would have given me hope that normal relationships can happen, until I got to the ending which is completely unrealistic and made up. ARGH.

P.S I have deaf grandparents who have been deaf since they were 3 and 4, and I love them to pieces, but I am not going deny that when they 'speak' i.e. make noises, it's a horrible sound. They have no knowledge of tone and pitch. And Annie having been born deaf has never heard her voice let alone another persons, so it's almost impossible for her to be articulate and 'melodious' as put by Blake. IMPOSSIBLE. My grandparents sound like seals when the laugh, which I love because they're my grandparents, but in no way am I gonna lie and say it's 'melodious'.

P.P.S I was originally going to rate this 3 stars as I did enjoy the lead up but writing about the bad things has made me realise they completely ruined it for me.

P.P.P.S I'd love some realistic portrayal of deaf people and this was far from it.

Love love Love it!

5* isn't enough for Addison Moore! I have read every one of her books and each one is better than the last.
Beautifully written and will draw you in from the first paragraph guaranteed.

Rock Candy Kisses is Annie and Blake's story.

Annie was born profoundly deaf and had a very sheltered life growing up. Now19 and in college her world is flipped upside down. Her first day at school she's saved from being ran over by a gorgeous stranger.
The sparks start flying after they connect again at the bar she co-owns with her twin brothers.
Blake is the lead singer of 12 Deadly Sins, the bad boy that was involved in more one night stands than relationships before his brother passed away the past summer. When he sees Annie though, everything changes for him.
Together, the rocker and the deaf girl, seem like an unlikely pair but that only fuels their fire.
Everything's not all xs and os though, Blake is hiding something. What will Annie do when she finds out?

Not many notes or highlights for this book as I was too busy really getting into the book. Annie she's a curious girl and I'm not sure our boy Blake really minds, "Annie sinks down over my lap and my boxers come to life trying to salute her. "Annie," her name hisses out of me slow as death." Blake is a hands on sort of man and I'm sure Annie appreciates that fact, "Blake unhooks my bra and it sails across the room. We share a laugh as he pins me with his limbs. "I think I know first hand what you do best when we're both naked." I liked this book, each story gets better and better as the series continues.

“Don’t laugh”—she holds up a finger—“but, for some reason, I thought when you whispered into my ear you were going to say something dirty.” Her face reddens a neon shade of pink.
“Knew it.” I tip my head back. “You’ve got a naughty streak a mile wide.”
“Do not!” She swats me.
“Let’s see about that.” I lean in and whisper the dirtiest sweet nothings into her ear for the next two songs. Annie groans and grinds her hips into mine like a promise. It’s pretty evident she approves. It looks like I was right about the naughty streak.
Nope, Annie is nobody’s little girl.
She’s all woman—and, lucky for me, she’s mine.

I started out quite liking this story, particularly since it is unusual to have a profoundly deaf romantic lead. However, I found it maddening that no one, including Annie, seemed bothered about the lack of close friends and family learning even a little bit of ASL to communicate. Not even a little bit. And to then round off the story with that ending, well, that is the reason why this had 2 stars. Why does the world seem to think that being able to hear is the be all and end all - why can't we all just accept each other whether hearing or not and learn to communicate as we are? The "twist" was visible from outer space too. Disappointing

3.5 Stars!

Book five in the 3:AM Kisses series by one of my faves, Addison Moore, is Annie and Blake's story. It is a sweet romance and far less snarky than the other books in the series.

Annie is the younger sister of twins, Holt and Bryson Edwards, and she is now a freshman at Whitney Briggs U. She is also profoundly deaf. Blake Daniels is the sexy, lead singer of The Black Bear's house band, 12 Deadly Sins. Blake never hurts for female attention. He is also reeling from the recent loss of his older brother and has a complicated history.

I love that Annie and Blake are such a complicated pairing. The deaf girl and the rocker. How much more ironic can things get? From the moment these two meet, things move very quickly in the romance department. The romance isn't without complications, of course, including Annie's pesky, overprotective older brothers and the massive secret Blake is keeping.

The book moves quickly and features Moore's fun writing style. All your favorite 3:AM Kisses characters make an appearance at some point. What really impressed me with this book was Moore's careful attention to detail regarding Annie's deafness. How do you write communication between two characters when one of them is deaf? She even had Annie use her voice at times. There are some pretty sweet moments in this book between Annie and Blake and her deafness.

A sweet, new adult romance with a unique plot and characters you will enjoy.

This book was absolutely beautiful. I expected so much when I read the description, but it was even better. I always had a fascination for sign language, and admiration for deaf people and how they handle life, so to read this book was like getting to know a new world. Annie was portrayed beautifully, and I learned a lot just by seeing how her everyday life went. Sure, Blake's story was to be expected and not that much of a surprise, but somehow I didn't care in the end, because their whole love story added up to be so so beautiful. While I was worried Blake was gonna treat Annie differently due to her hearing problem, I loved to see that he didn't. He treated her no less than the princess she is, and I loved it. Every girl deserves a guy like Blake. Someone who loves so unconditionally and beautifully. I'll continue reading more books out of this series, because I love everything Addison More writes.

This was a great read. Romantic and with sweetest love scenes.

Blake and Annie form what might want to say an unlikely pair.
I think it was written with taste and brilliance.

Setting: 4
Characters: 5
Family: 4
Romance: 4
Conflict:3.5

At First I really thought the baby was Blake's. However as i read on i started to see it might be his brother's. Though that didn't make me dislike Blake even if it would have been his. The book's tone tells he is a good guy choosing to turn his life around from a series of unfortunate events, and you love him for that.

Annie with the sweet innocence and how well she handles being deaf is remarkable. I think it also gives us a glimpse of what a person goes through with insensitive peers. How important it is for us to have moral support and a family who loves you.

I enjoyed it.

Loved the story. Blake and Annie are a sweet couple. Blake always treated Annie like a woman not an invalid. Annie is deaf. Blake is a lead singer. They met when a truck almost hit her while she was walking to class on campus. Blake pulled her out of the way. She didn't know who he was until that night when he was singing at the Black Bear which Annie owns along with her brothers. Blake used to be a rock candy whore but since his brother's death he has been to himself until he met Annie. Blake and Annie had a challenge to get to know each other because of his reputation. Her brothers more than once warned him about seeing Annie. Love prevails.

Loved the writing of Addison Moore. Got this story through Bookbub and plan on reading more.

Following the heart

Annie is a young woman who is about to start living in the real world. Is she ready for what she about to face? Blake is a man whose life has changed and about to change even more. Is he ready to face the past in order to live for the future? Together they can concur the world, but will the world mess them up? I loved everything about what these two had to go through in order to make it to the other side. Great story with an amazing message.
