So stinkin cute. At first I felt like they should have just left Scott et al out of it, Cuz it was confusing to have them without Stiles. But their small bit played a role and made ending a little sweeter with possibilities.

This was a pretty good story. This is a Sterek fanfiction story. For those of you that don't know...Sterek fanfic is based off 2 male characters, Stiles and Derek, from the TV show Teen Wolf. In the show they're both heterosexual but some viewers have fantasized about them together in a m/m relationship and thus Sterek was born. This story has the same background as the TV show except the Stiles that's the son of the local sheriff never been existed. When Derek comes to town looking for Laura things go much differently from the TV show. This story is from Derek's PoV.
Derek gets to town and finds that Laura's been killed but he doesn't know by who. He thinks the werewolf that killed her might still be around but Derek's rather despondent and not looking to track the killer down. Derek spends a lot of time transformed and running around the woods and he ends befriending a wild fox that has a little something special. Through some unexpected events, the fox gains the ability to transform into a human shape and over time evolves to be more human mentally as well, becoming Stiles. Their relationship does end up changing and evolving along the way and by the end Derek and Stiles are a couple.
This was a pretty enjoyable story. It was an interesting take on Stiles being a shifter although Stiles not being the Sheriff's son was a bit weird. We got a bit of Scott, Lydia and Isaac but I do wish there had been a bit more interaction with them. Fair warning, the sex scenes are fade to black. Overall I was pretty happy with the story and am planning to read the sequel right away. :D
* note - I listened to the podcast of this story. The narrator did a very good job.

can see how this is sort of sweet story. werefox!stiles except not really because actual-fox!stiles turns human-ish. stiles comes across as a bit behind or a kid, which rubs me all the wrong ways. writing and development a bit simple.
Used to be a 1-star rating for me, but reread 171223-ish and enjoyed it a bit more than I must have last. Wasn’t as bothered by Stiles’ “behindness”, I’m thinking.
