Kobayashi is the most not-yet-diagnosed with ADHD character to ever be not-yet-diagnosed with ADHD and I stand by that!

I really loved this volume. For me it's even a bit stronger than the first because I think it deals with some of the ins and outs of neurodivergence in a really strong way. I think anyone who is neurodivergent could see themselves in both Uno and Kobayashi really well, and the mangaka really treats their experiences and stories with care and thoughtfulness.

Both Uno and Kobayashi are neurodivergent and are now, as teenagers, having to learn how to navigate the world in a way that works for them. It's a crossroads that all of us with neurodivergent brains have to come to time and time again in our lives (even after we grow up!), and I find the way that that struggle is exemplified here to be filled with hope, empathy, and understanding. It's definitely a feel-good manga for me, a reminder that we're forever growing, learning, and changing, and it's a beautiful process, not a shameful one. Not to mention, there will always be people around you who are willing to support and encourage you, even if it doesn't always feel like it -- you simply have to be honest about your struggles. I really love these themes.

This book reminds me of the first couple volumes of Blue Period in the way that it deals with the absolutely tough growing pains of high school. I hope that anyone in high school who reads this feels seen and understood, that's for sure -- but even an older reader could definitely see themselves in this. I think this series is absolutely solid so far, and I'm looking forward to the release of the third volume this year!

Volume 1 made me super emotional. I thought it was absolutely incredible. Volume 2 is still great, but it feels a teensy bit more boring, or maybe preachy, or something like that.

Honestly this book shows representation in a covert to neurotypical, overt to neurodivergent people way. Uno and Kobayashi have a wonderful friendship but volume 2 honestly explores them more as individuals.

Uno gets tired purely from being around people and I feel that. Learning from his teachers and mentors that there is nothing wrong with it is validating especially when it feels “wrong”. Taking time to rest and recover from exhausting interactions is IMPORTANT.

I reeeeally level with Kobayashi in this volume. As someone who just recently learned I have ADHD - it felt shameful at times to forget things / tasks / what I was even doing in a room. Not being able to work on 1 task in a linear way. Even hating things that other people do without really admitting I do the same things. I trust the people around me in the way Kobayashi trusted those he worked with and I had a similar result of acceptance and a conscious effort in making sure I felt supported and safe. I really liked that.

This manga is about accepting who you are AND other people and learning to accept and embrace differences because that’s what make us great. I wish the third was published but I’ll wait until July I guess 😪❤️

3.5✨

This volume didn't live up to the greatness that I feel the first one did but it was still pretty cute and had its emotional moments!

I absolutely adored volume 1, and this one was still enjoyable, but was missing a lot of the magic that the previous story had.

I still appreciated the way that the author portrayed the challenges associated with autism and undiagnosed ADHD—such as burnout, learning disabilities, sensory overload, emotional dysregulation, attention and concentration difficulties, etc—but the way they were presented was kind of bland compared to volume 1. I really missed the interaction between Uno and Kobayashi this time, as the story is more focused on Kobayashi studying for his exams, instead of the growing friendship and support between them. I hope to see more of this in volume 3.

Overall, it was an okay story, but nowhere near as good as the first instalment unfortunately.

"It feels like if you were hanging off the edge of a cliff and then someone turned to you and asked "Why?" instead of helping you up."

This series is special, inviting you into the mind of the neurodivergent. It really shows how the human brain isn't made on a conveyor belt and we each think and process differently. These kids are trying to navigate a world not designed for their brains, and it's so beautifully portrayed. The art is fantastic too. Highly recommend, can't wait to read the next volume.

This is such a super cute storyline. We've got two people - at first considered totally different - but both dealing with the world in their own way. Each of them are learning how to navigate the world with their own challenges and personal struggles.

I love how even the supporting cast learn how to be more caring and supportive through their struggles. It did feel a little short, though. I end each volume thinking that it shouldn't be over yet, because it doesn't feel like much has happened. I'm also not sure where it's heading, in the terms of where it will end up.

Continues to be an adorable story about two people who feel like outsiders being there for each other and very understanding of one another. I thought the astronomy felt like it was pretty grade school level and maybe this was a little school and study heavy. This series shines most when our two friends are on page together. 3.75 overall.

Another great volume!! The fact that this volume focuses a lot of Kobayashi's struggles with studying and his part time job is really wonderful. I think a lot of teens who maybe aren't the best at school and are struggling will see themselves and find some hope in his character.
